161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is everyone doing with their Bitcoin Gold? on: October 27, 2017, 12:00:52 PM
Hodl? Ha ha.
Seriously, I heard you can't really transfer it until Nov 1 and the value is sort undetermined?
Can I trade mine for some other alt-coins?

you always have to plan ahead for these things.  do a risk assessment and see if the reward is enough to even bother thinking about different methods of claiming these airdrops.

for example so far i have only participated in a handful of airdrops so far simply because the rest of them are too time consuming and i prefer using my time more constructively.

as for bitcoin gold the way to claim it was to deposit your coins on exchanges. i used Yobit for that matter. the risks were obvious for me so i did it with a small amount of my stash, you know because it was Yobit and they are shady as hell. but the reward was good since the price of BTG went to the moon in the first couple of hours but i had to keep my bitcoins there for a couple of days since they disabled their withdrawals.

now you will have to wait until the release. good news is that by that time the price may have another pump which may even be as big as the first one (0.19BTC)
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best cryptocurrency to invest in right now? on: October 27, 2017, 11:50:47 AM
Hi everyone, Bitcoin is now around $6k and gather even 1 BTC is very hard today,
you should stay away from ANY kind of investment as long as you thin like this.
translation of what you just said is this:
"investing in gold is very hard because 1 Ton (1000 kG) of gold is very expensive"!

Quote
what do you think about other cryptocurrencies to invest like LiteCoin and ETH? What's your prediction about their position in market next year?
the same as this year!
the same pump and dumps of altcoins will always be around. they get dumped hard then everyone forgets about them, finally some whales pick it up and starts pumping them hard again. if you can catch the pumps you make profit and if not then you are a bag holder.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: October 27, 2017, 11:41:14 AM
I doubt its gonna happen. If its does tho Bitcoin price really will go to the moon. Amazone has such a huge volume, it will affect Bitcoin like the china news but in opposite way Cheesy

Amazon has a huge volume but if they start accepting bitcoin, all that volume won't come into bitcoin overnight! people are still so conservative about their bitcoins. they still want it to be their investment that appreciates over time, by a lot...

that is why Amazon has not yet accepted bitcoin in my opinion. they know if they do, the profit is not going to be as big enough for the effort.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Website mining Bitcoin without permission? on: October 27, 2017, 10:52:34 AM
from what i have understood about these mining sites i can say these sites run special scripts through your browser to mine altcoins (monero to be exact) and scripts can always be blocked by twerking your browser, possibly by disabling Javascript even you may be able to block all of them pretty easily. but i have seen extensions out there for different browsers that can do this much simpler. you can install one of them to prevent this abuse.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kenneth Rogoff, former IMF economist says "Bitcoin price will collapse" on: October 24, 2017, 09:03:18 AM
we should enforce some sort of tax on those who speculate about bitcoin like this in public.

for example anybody who calls bitcoin's doom, call it fraud, calls it bubble that is going to burst into flames and die, ... and all kinds of weird shit, all of them should pay a fee every month that bitcoin stays alive and grows stronger and pay another fee for every $100 price rise.

we could use the funds to put billboard ads showing their faces and their failure to grasp how bitcoin works on highways and crowded places or even on TV each time that same person comes on Cheesy
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BTG price at 425$ worth the wait? on: October 24, 2017, 08:39:35 AM
SO we all tried HODLing the BTC with the expectation of recieving BTG.  Now we see that the BTC price has gone a bit low in the last two days  (from the highest it had reached) ,however the price of BTG has made up for this loss.SO I wanna ask most of you, if you feel satisfied with what ever happened?

i don't know from where you are getting the "highest" it had reached but you are wrong. the highest price was 0.19BTC yesterday on yobit (which i sold around that price by the way) and that is about $1000+. and yes i am very satisfied with the result. these free moneyz are always satisfying to someone who is holding bitcoin. it is like the world is rewarding you more and more every day for believing in bitcoin. and they always go to the best coin to create these kinds of forks from anyways.

the price seems to be holding up pretty well though. and i am surprised about it to be honest to see it still at 0.08BTC ish... i was expecting it to drop a lot lower, but i guess people ran out of BTG to dump Cheesy
167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how control my emotion?? on: October 24, 2017, 05:48:11 AM
sometimes a loss is better than a big loss. in technical terms use a stop loss order which is practically doing this for you. it triggers when price falls lower than your "tolerance" so you automatically dump the coin and prevent further losses.
it doesn't have to be a stop loss and automatic either. you can do it manually too. you just have to plan for these things ahead of time. for example you buy ETH at 0.07BTC and decide that you don't want to lose more than 5% of your money so you dump it as soon as ETH got dumped hard down to 0.0665BTC and prevent losing more money when it was really dumped hard down to 0.046BTC and then buy back at the bottom.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Reversal is happening.. bitcoin money goes to altcoins! on: October 24, 2017, 05:31:36 AM
yeah, i was waiting for this too. it is not exactly related to bitcoin and its price though. even if bitcoin stayed up or even went higher this reversal of altcoins would have happened eventually because you can never have always down just like you can never have always rise. at some point there needs to be a reversal or correction and price comes back down after a rise or up after a big dump.

a 12% recovered in a few hours for my diversified portfolio ( 0 bitcoins on it).

then you have been making a HUGE mistake.
- you don't have any bitcoin and bitcoin has been rising non stop for the past few months better than anything else
- you kept holding altcoins that were getting dumped hard. you say 12% recovered but you never say how much you have lost! the drops have been 10-20% per day for at least 3 or 4 days and you just recovered a small part of one of these days.

you always have to dump the altcoins that are dropping then buy back at the bottom. this way you first prevent that 40-80% loss and then have a 12%+ pure profit instead not just recovering a small part of what you lost.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As Bitcoin's Price increase what would happen to Altcoins? on: October 24, 2017, 04:45:31 AM
so far whenever bitcoin is rising or falling the altcoins continue to get dumped a lot and go down drastically. but nothing really happens to altcoins. they still exist and they will get pumped at some point in the near future after the bitcoin rise and fall ended and it became more stable.

it seems to me like they take turns. when bitcoin is moving, everyone exists altcoins and goes in bitcoin. and when bitcoin stops some small group go back to altcoins to trade them. and that means a pump after bitcoin stable price.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC->BTG cashout right after fork possible? on: October 24, 2017, 04:38:20 AM
...but what if I have 1 BTC in my wallet and want to cashout the BTC to EUR right after the fork, because I think price will drop right after fork.

Where will my BTG be then? ...will they stay on the Electrum wallet (where 0 BTC are), or will they be lost after I move the BTC to lets say kraken exchange to cash it out?

I only want to cashout the BTC right after the fork. ...and the BTG when it is possible to do so on an exchange.

Are you confusing the segwit 2x fork with the Bitcoin gold scam snapshot? You will never get to sell that gold crap before the devs dump the premine.

you could sell it way before them if you acted fast and also were willing to leave some coins on exchanges. i did sell a good amount of BTG on Yobit last day at the highest price possible a little less than 0.19BTC per coin. and devs have not yet gotten their premine to start thinking about dumping it.

besides, from what i have read BTG premine will have a locked mechanism that prevents the devs from selling the coins right away. it is not set though. much like replay protection and 10 other things Tongue
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: everyone says Bitcoin will tank after Gold fork. What if it's opposite? on: October 24, 2017, 04:18:28 AM
well if you look at the bitcoin price you can see that bitcoin price did indeed "tank" after the bitcoin gold "snapshot of bitcoin blockchain". but the things to remember is that these "tanks" are never as big as everyone says. it was just a small one (about 8%) and that was it. we are still at a very decent price.

in fact drops like these are good to buy more bitcoin and make some profit. you sell on top before the BTG fork and then wait 2 days to see it through and buy back more bitcoin that you have sold.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to recover bitcoingold coins from blockchain wallet? on: October 24, 2017, 04:06:53 AM
you can not do that NOW. because the code is not ready, there is no wallet, there is no blockchain, there is no mining,.... you have to wait about another month until all of these are completed and then recover your BTG that you had on block #491407

or you should have deposited your bitcoin on an exchange like yobit and sold that shit at 0.19BTC Grin
173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A Good Solution Of Too Much Greed In Trading ? on: October 22, 2017, 08:08:51 AM
stop being greedy.

i am not joking. you already know what you problem is which means you are halfway there, unlike others who have not yet figured out they are greedy that they lose money.
set some percentage profit that you want and think is enough for you and stick to it. is it 1%, 5% or 20%? wait until it is reached and sell there, don't wait for "more". you can even set your orders ahead of time. for example you buy something at 0.0001BTC and immediately place a sell order at 0.00012BTC (20% profit).

if you can discipline yourself to follow this simple rule, you will be successful in trading in no time.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH target 1000$ in ending of this year on: October 22, 2017, 07:51:21 AM
I would say it’s so unrealistic two months ago , and still thinking the kinda same but dramatic downs and ups with bitcoin showed me that anything can happen in this world.

just because bitcoin is rising doean't mean other altcoins can rise the same way too.
and if they do it will be the first time in the history of altcoins that they rise in the long term. we can all see that ETH price has been dropping ever since this topic was created! if OP wants $1000 then he has to start pumping ethereum because he is running out of time.

good news is that SegWit2x can help the pump if it causes a drop in bitcoin but again the time-frame will be very short. i give him 2 weeks tops window of opportunity to pump but it won't happen as fast nor as big.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What alt to buy after BCC Fork? and after chinese meeting on: October 22, 2017, 07:40:08 AM
the coins that you speculate will have the biggest pumps. and you don't have to wait for the fork to come and go you can trade and make profit right now. i can see that VTC had a very big pump this past 2 days. it is just an example though, there are so many other random altcoins that get pumped on a daily basis. the pump groups are always active they never go away just because other alts are getting dumped.

but if you don't like that strategy you can look at the bigger coins that had the biggest dumps. like ETH for example which have been getting dumped non stop. you wait until the bitcoin fork happens and possibly price of it to come down and then buy them at the bottom to dump after they got mini pumped.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks $6,000 Barrier, Market Cap Now Exceeds $100 Billion on: October 22, 2017, 07:30:36 AM
Nothing seems to stop Bitcoin.  Not China.  Not Jamie Dimon.  Nothing.

never say never.
it is true that the ones you said can not stop bitcoin but the users themselves can. the panic sellers have always been the pain in the ass of the market for years. as you can see today they crashed the price down to $5700 in a couple of hours and price is now still below the $6000 mark.

in long term none of them would matter though. these short term dumps are good for buying cheaper coins.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN GOLD VS SEGWIT 2X on: October 22, 2017, 07:23:06 AM
The real fork is the 1x vs 2x. Bitcoin Gold is a scam and people should just ignore it tbh, giving it any attention is bad...they have no wallet, no support, nothing...

there is a lot of money to be made using bitcoin gold, why should anyone ignore a lot of money?
first there is the airdrop which is free money giveaway to anyone holding any amount of bitcoin. ignoring it means ignoring free money.
second is the pump and dumps that it will have, this requires traders and some experience but most people can make a lot of profit from it.
and finally is the mining, that you can start doing with your GPU at home without needing to buy an ASIC for example.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What price should we expect for B2X? on: October 22, 2017, 07:14:54 AM
Right now bitcoin gold is about to happen lots of people are predecting it will be arround 150usd mark.
i don't know where this person (one of bitcoin gold developers) getting the price from but he says BTG is worth 0.04-0.06BTC which is $240-$360.
i think it may be one of the future markets in one of the exchanges that have already added BTG

But i am really curious about the Segwit2x means the B2X price that will be in mid of nov.
What do you think what price it will be.?As per my analytics i can see there are lots of minners supporting this so i am hoping it will be like 500usd or more. Please share your views and correct me if i am wrong here.
we can't really tell right now because nobody is supporting anything. miners said they will support it and that is a "maybe" at best. maybe 100% support it maybe 1% support it. we do not know. and anything from 1 to 100 can change the way things work.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins to buy before the fork? on: October 21, 2017, 03:01:40 PM
nothing really looks good at the moment to be honest. i was actually checking coinmarketcap today. multiple times. and i can only see RED all around the market, everything is dropping and they keep on dropping without showing any signs of recovery. and we are now BEFORE the fork!

after the fork or the day of the fork may be very different though. if the current bitcoin rally is indeed because of the fork then by that day it must stop and even drop. (remember that is a big IF). so that day the prices of altcoins may recover since people go back to them. which one will get the most pump is impossible to tell right now but i will make sure to watch the "volumes" to try and predict it.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ether Prices Hold Above $300 as Fork Fears Fade on: October 21, 2017, 02:45:01 PM
the recovery was mostly a dead cat bounce. the price as you can see is back below $300 once again and fell more today. currently it is residing at $293 according to top exchangs such as GDAX (coinbase) and poloniex, bitfinex, and Gemeni.

in fact ETH had the worst week this past week. the price started at $347 (0.0597BTC) and with all the fork panic, the dumps, bubble bursting and panic sells the price went to the depth of $290 (0.056BTC) and recovered $300+ 3 days ago but it continued falling once again starting yesterday when it went below $300 and now again it is residing at $290ish price.
