161  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you had bought the previous ATH you're on profit on: March 22, 2024, 10:22:32 AM
It happens all the time with bitcoin ATH, where investors avoid buying the ATH rather than waiting for the dip again before they can buy.

The problem is, all patterns end at some point and new patterns replace them. It could be that Bitcoin at some point in the future will reach a certain peak, then crash and never revisit that peak ever again. Or it could decades to see that price again. Bitcoiners tend to brush off unrealized losses with their "just hodl" mantra, but not everyone can just hodl. Sometimes life makes you spend money whether you like it or not, and this is where having all your wealth stored in Bitcoin would be a major downside.

Although the only pattern we see is every 4 years we have this bull run. However, a new pattern emerges today as we have a new all time high prior to the halving. And so it invalidates our previous cycle that it's hard to see what will be or how bit the bull run will be this year.

Yes, take profit as you can, others hodl though, as we are looking for like $100k at conservative estimates at least. But there is nothing wrong with taking profits from time to time as this is how we become great investors. And then uses that extra money that we profit in other things.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 22, 2024, 09:41:15 AM
Orlando Magic snapped Zion ang the Pelicans winning streak as the Magic win by huge margin in their homecourt. And another bad news is that Brandon Ingram suffers a injury and two team mates have to carry him out. I think he was holding his knees grimacing in pain in the court. No update yet on his injuries as they will have to perform an MRI scan to see the extend of the injuries and hopefully it is not that bad as we could have thought as the Pels are in the good position to make the playoff and we have seen Zion Williamson healthy this season.
Orlando Magic had been playing great in their recent games and I don't doubt that which is why I bet for them. I missed the game today but I definitely believe they can win that one.

Yeah, sad news for the Pelicans. They are on the 5th ranking and all they need is to keep winning a few more games and they will secure their spot for the playoffs. But, with this news of Brandon Ingram I and the Suns, Mavs, and Kings tailing them, they might lose their momentum and be dropped in the play-in tournament.
Here is what happened to Ingram.

https://x.com/BleacherReport/status/1770972857662652447?s=20
Left-knee hyperextension. This also happened to Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo before but his body is strong enough that it didn't take long before he came back. This will depend on the MRI and I am crossing my fingers that he is okay. I mean, New Orleans fans might be drooling to be in the playoffs again with a healthy Zion but this might affect the rankings.
13 games left, that's a lot if you ask me and their bench will need to step up their game if BI will take a good long rest.

This would ruin the chance of the Pelicans to be in the playoffs. We are witnessing the best Pelicans season so far as Zion was healthy and they are playing like a real playoff team. So let's hope that Ingram would be fine as they needs his mid range game that is very accurate. If he will be fine and would have to rest, then at least they still have a chance in the play-in in case their ranking will dop, and that would still make them not an easy team to beat.

Zion scored 20 in this game, now that Ingram will be out, hopefully he will increase his production and he will not also be injured.

I agree, and if I'm not mistaken, this is the first season that both are really healthy up to this time. And it reflects on their standing right now. Zion, Brandon and CJ are taking the lead. But s**t happens, there's no report yet of the MRI that they have taken. Hopefully as a basketball fans, it's not that serious and Ingram can get back in the playoffs to help the team.

And with this development, Zion will really need to step up his game, he will be the main offensive weapon, at least 30 points or more moving forward might help the team. And others as well will need to step up to cover what they are going to lose as far as points as Ingram is out.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for a beginner on: March 21, 2024, 11:10:05 AM
Hello, I'm a new trader. I started a month ago. I deposited $100, and now I've lost $40. Any advice for me? I watched some YouTube videos and found a technical analysis video which helped a lot. I started not losing as much. Sometimes I even earn. But even though, I feel so lost. Like every day, I see some random coins get boosted. Some people earn from how they know that coin will go up. I'm sorry for my bad English; it's not my first language.

I guess you have the wrong mindset, as in any endeavor, specially trading in a market that is very volatile, you might end up that $100 in an instant. And you are lucky that you just lost $40 yet. And that is the real face of crypto trading, again, it's very volatile and there are many entities, like pump and dump group, (maybe you might have heard about them).

I guess you need more experienced, and maybe treat that $100 as most likely you will have to lose it just to get that needed experience. And that's why I think that crypto trading is not for everyone, as it might not be good for you mentally to see losses after losses. But in any case that you really dream of becoming big in trading, then learn from your mistakes and really learn technical analysis.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: Farming and it importance to the economy on: March 21, 2024, 10:30:16 AM
In my country, farming is still very important. However, I once had a farming land but I was force to sell it for personal reasons. But I do agree, this sector could be one of the most neglected by government around the world.

And even for some countries, those who lead this industry is somewhat corrupt or at least manipulated some goods to their advantage. And with the development of buildings to house the population, some areas are now being taken by developers, who paid government handsomely so that they can get that farm land. And obviously, in the future there will be no enough farm land for the population and they are going to realized it, but it's going to be too late.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 21, 2024, 09:23:24 AM
Just a few hours ago, we've seen a major drop in the crypto market. We've seen Bitcoin dropped below $70,000 and currently at $69,731.83 based on Coingecko.
TBH, I expected for a correction after we've seen consecutive price increases on the price of Bitcoin.

We all have high expectations that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 anytime during the bull run, but don't expect that it will be a smooth ride. Expect some price corrections. Maybe not major decline in prices like a double-digit percentage drop, but at we will see some market corrections along the way. I don't think that Bitcoin will stay below $70,000 for quite some time since I see that price as a psychological support already, but if it does happen then at least the market is giving those investors another opportunity to buy Bitcoin again at a lower price.

Take note that dips = opportunities. Market corrections = opportunities for investors to buy even more in preparation for the bull run.
$100k is becoming common now as our greatest or ultimate dream price for Bitcoin. Many aren't still rushing for this and they did not expect it will arrive during the current peak of the bull run. They are only being realistic there because they are not blind to see the big gap between $70k and $100k.

That will be our target in this bull run, at least 6 digits and it will be the first time that we will see that price and it's a dream that we are looking for. Specially for those early investors, witnessing it from like $10-$100k is very big accomplishments.

Apart from it, they also know that there is a correction which takes place right after a major increase in price, so this delays things but it's not totally a hindrance for some of us since we still can buy lower when that event occurs. Bitcoin may not stay below $70k but it may dip further under $60k. If not, it will rise. This is the effects of its volatility.

Might be better if we just stay below $70k before the halving. What can go wrong when we already reach all time high already pre-halving. And then post-halving we will slowly rise to $70k-$80k-$90k and then the ultimate goal of it all. So I think we are still on road to 6 digit, we just need more time to get to it.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feelings on losing the match and the bet on: March 21, 2024, 09:01:15 AM
Do you feel sad when your favorite team loses a match and the bet (if you had placed a bet on that match)?

Yes, if you are a fan of a team and then they take that loses specially in a close game and you have a bet on them, then our emotions and feel very sad.

It is part of every sport where a team loses and a team wins the match. A team is happy and a team is sad, not only in cricket but in other sports too like basketball, volleyball and the last best sport Football.

Also, a match isn't considered a loss but if that match is a final, semi final or such a big match for example between two rivalry teams then it will be like this, but at the same time for us, even if the match isn't important in the context of the series but we place the bet and lose it, it's our lost booked and there are no second thoughts about it.

Match that are very important like the finals or semi finals are more hurtful if our team loses. I mean they are very close to winning it and probably might win the championship if they will get this one win. Unfortunately, the tide could change in the last minute or so, and they take that big L.

You can see that there are fans crying after seeing their favorite club lose in finals.

169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I just woke up and saw wins in my gambling app on: March 20, 2024, 10:18:31 AM
sometimes things that we don't really expect will come true, but instead come true, like what happened to you. you initially played carefree and just for fun, but what happened was that you won your gambling. this proves that gambling is closely related to a person's luck. no matter how hard a gambler pursues their victory, if luck is not on their side, then they will never win. on the other hand, when they are lucky, no matter what, they will still win the gambling.

And it's the very definition on luck in gambling, when you thought that you have lost already or you have totally forgotten about your bet. But then someone tells you to check your gambling app and to the OP's surprises he won.

I haven't had this kind of experience, although I will have bets early and then I will not watch the game itself. But I know I have a bet and so the first time that I will do upon waking up is to check my bet and surprisingly, game was close but I did won.
170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull has Started But Not Yet ATH. on: March 20, 2024, 09:36:30 AM
Not every positive change in market should hastily be judged as bullish. As well as the bull run in itself can last long, be it several months, and let's not forget the possibility that the last ATH that btc hit recently, may also be it for the year,as well as in the past, I think 2013 two ATH was hit in a year also. Pretty unpredictable. We're in the bull market, alright. But then preparing for bear market ahead is also a thing, no matter how forward that might be.

We can only judge it as they come, this market is very volatile, maybe we can have a bullish sign for a month or more than that and see the price goes from $40k-$73k. But the next week we will a massive downturn so really hard to judge it, and we shouldn't to be honest and it is very unpredictable.

Bitcoin's bull market started a long time ago. But I think its ATH is not fully started yet. As it now appears that Bitcoin has reached its all-time high of $72000 and the Bitcoin market has taken a bit of a dump for a while now. Since the halving is still a few days away, I think it could pump Bitcoin again by mid-April and cross $72,000 And the bull run will become more dynamic in a few days. As the market of Bitcoin is down a bit now but it will pump up and its value will increase further.

Technically, what we term a bull-run is a massive increased and it usually happens after the block halving. But during the last 2 month or so, pre-halving, we have made a new all time high at $73k. So this is a first for us and it could be a indication that we might see a bigger bullish run after the halving so let's find out next month. I'm been more positive though that 5 digit mark is going to be unlocked this 2024.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 20, 2024, 09:00:59 AM
It's a moral compass of the streamers themselves, and I think majority thinks that they are not responsible for any actions of their followers. And for me, we shouldn't influence by this streamers as they could be just living a fake life for all we know. It could be all make believed when they are in front of the camera. And hopefully for those who are following them, just used our logical mind and not be swayed by anything they do or say.

So another horrible stories again. Hopefully, for those whoever you are, contemplating about during this kind of things. It will just give more problems though to the ones that you are going to left so it's not worth to even think about it.
172  Other / Beginners & Help / AZORult stealer targets crypto wallets with a sophisticated HTML smuggling on: March 20, 2024, 08:28:11 AM
Another malware in the wild dubbed as Azorult malware using fake fronting Google Sites pages and HTML smuggling to steal sensitive information that includes crypto wallet. It is reported that this malware is on the rise and probably it's because of the current bull run that we are seeing.

Azorult malware contains a list of 119 target Chrome wallets and 12 Edge wallet extensions.

Quote
we uncovered a campaign wherein an attacker created fake Google Docs pages on Google Sites from which they used HTML smuggling to download malicious payloads. They lure their victims to the fake Google Docs pages to trick them into believing the downloaded file was from Google Docs.

And the payload is The Azorult payload is a .NET compiled.  All stolen files and data are then transmitted to the C2 server over HTTP.

Code:
pg20.exe

Targeted Chrome Wallets

Targeted Edge Wallet

Targeted Firefox Wallet

And it looks for this keyword as well:

So again, cyber criminals activities are ramping up as we go on a bull run already. So we might be very careful time and time again and not let our defense down as the attacks are getting very sophisticated by the day. I think we already have enough information in our community on how to protect our wallets. But from time to time it's also a good practice to revisit it just saying.

173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navarrete Vs Berinchyk Vacant WBO World Lightweight Title May 18 2024 on: March 19, 2024, 01:33:39 PM
Berinchyk is good but not good enough to beat a boxer like Navarrette, Navarrette has been to a lot of great fighters, one of the fights I like is his matches against Dogboe, Dogboe is very aggressive but he knows how to weather aggressive boxers he is a very technical fighter and his ability to throw a lot of punches will overwhelm Berinchyk but this is going to be one hell of a match.

I am betting on Navarette as well but I think it will be UD. But of course, KO option is always open in any boxing match. As Navarette has more fights than Berinchyk, I can say Navarette has higher chance but he should not take this fight lightly. As a challenger, Berinchyk may have his rigid training and be well-prepared for this fight.
38 fights compared to 18?  When it comes to experience then Navarrete would really be having the upperhand. Just like been said that he's a technical fighter and really having those speedy punches
but as we do all know and able to see that there are really boxers which does have that fight gap or experience in between but still ended up on being beaten or lose.
It would really be just that a normal approach that he shouldnt really be taking lightly on Berinchyk but honestly i do expect on KO on this fight or
just like on what you have said about having UD in the end.

Navarette is not technical though, he is more of a brawler type of boxing, typical of a Mexican warrior mentality, and that's why fans love to see his fight. He was knock down by Liam Wilson in their fight and we thought that Navarette is going to lose his belt. But he comes back and win by a knockout himself.

Berinchyk is also a very good fighter, so this might be another war. But it might favor Navarette as he likes this kind of fight, back and forth and nobody giving an inch. And if he will caught Berinchyk here, he might go down for sure as Navarette throws heavy bombs every time.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake and Bruno Mars An Example of How Gambling Addiction Can Affect Anyone on: March 19, 2024, 12:52:36 PM
Caught myself thinking, that it is better for celebrities to have a gambling addiction like that, so that money they have lost would go to country economy (instead of just being on bank accounts), then they have drug or alcohol addiction. Here is why: they earn, they lose in gambling, they do their best to perform (act or write a new song, whatever they want, as it is about creativity) and earn new money. Than earn and spend everything on drugs, alcohol and party.

But it's better not to spend it in gambling those money that they earn? Still it's hard-earn, they have to work hard for it, not like the invested money that grow overtime. And if the likes of Bruno Mars want to make changes, then he can donate some of that money to his country or to where his family is, that is in the Philippines.

Not saying that I disagree with you, but I think that kind of mindset is your. It's like just giving excuses for this celebrities to continue to gamble because they are thinking that they are helping the economy and that is very wrong argument.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 19, 2024, 12:27:01 PM
Shams is reporting that Isaiah Thomas is signing a 10-day contract with the Suns. I think this is a great signing because Isaiah has earned another chance in the NBA, the Suns lack a true point guard, and if this goes bad it’s only a 10-day contract. I’m really hoping it works out though because I think Isaiah got a bum deal in Boston and should have been rewarded for his loyalty and sacrifice.

It's been almost 2 years since Isaiah Thomas last played in the NBA. Honestly, I'm surprised that he still hasn't given up and is still obsessed with returning to the NBA. Hopefully, he can prove himself in such a short time, and the Suns will sign him to a minimum contract at least until the end of next season.

But he was still active if I'm not mistaken, so he could be seeing playing pick up games to make his body in good form. And he was trying out with several teams, so that's a good sign already.

Most likely the Suns needed a guard and they are willing to go out and take that risk on IT and see if he still has it. I don't think that anyone should really stop chasing their dreams of returning to the NBA as once IT was putting insane numbers when he was a Celtics.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy bitcoin now? on: March 19, 2024, 11:26:50 AM
There's already blood in the streets right now, wasn't able to check the price, but when I did see it today, it goes down hard to $62k. And so this is what those who predicted that there will be a huge and downward spiral? around 30%-40% before the halving? In any case though, as I have said, those saying could be very well true in the market right now. It's bleeding and so this is another great change for those who haven't invested or waiting for the price to go down before they invest.

Might not be good to wait for the price to even go further, as long as you have the capital, $62k is already a good catch in my opinion. And this kind of opportunities might not come along, market is very unpredictable, maybe in the next 24-48 hours, prices will go back to $70k'ish. So still up to you to make the decision right now.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tim Tszyu - Seabastian Fundora For The WBC And WBO Super Welterweight March 30 on: March 19, 2024, 11:04:10 AM
Fundora is a very tall man with very long arms, this is such a sudden change of opponent for Tim.  Fundora quickly got a title shot even when he lost his last fight by a nasty KO. What a turn of events.

I can agree that he is more relevant in the division than Thurman but it was also said that whoever wins this fight will face Crawford, that's another title fight. Fundora got lucky for getting KOed. This is too short notice however so good luck to him.

His fight with Serhii Bohachuk is also for the WBC belt as super welterweight, so in any case this is still a title fight and as far as I know, WBO and WBC are talking if they are going to push for this as a unification fight. And it's obvious that with Fundora's height and length, he had that advantage against Tim. So this is really more of a test on Tim, whether he is really build to be a champion and can unify the belt at 154 pounds as this is what the current trend for fighters for cementing their legacy.

And it's not like before during the reign of Manny wherein the mindset was to go up in weight class and annex the belt. Now it's more of a old school, although the 4 belt era is just around 80's if I'm not mistaken.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 18, 2024, 12:36:16 PM
@FinneysTrueVision. Is this fight for Pacman a comeback fight or is this only an exhibition? He is 45 years old already, will he fight again if he wins against Conor Benn? This will be headshaking, however, I will certainly watch these fights hehee.

On Anthony Joshua, presently it appears much of the fans of boxing are speculating a fight between him and Tyson Fury. But would it not be much better if he should challenge Oleksandr Usyk again? I reckon this new Joshua might knockout Usyk. Ben Davison appears to have made Anthony Joshua discover something from himself.

Pacman could be interested with the belt so probably it's not an exhibition. But how could he get a championship if he is not anymore active, I mean,I thought they will base on the ranking not on the popularity? I'm not really sure if this rumors are but in case Pacman will comeback, I'm sure that will create a lot of hype and people will surely watch it.

What about the rumor beween Pacman and Mayweather, I thought it will happen this May?

This boxing bodies will surely give Pacquiao a free pass specially WBC as he has been a champion for their division, and it's Manny. The name itself is legendary, if they can give Francis that special treatment coming from MMA, then they can more so for Pacquiao. If the Saudi's are going to back up this fight and held it on their home country, it's going to be big money for Manny and Conor and I don't think they can refuse the offer.

The exhibition with Mayweather could wait, Manny has Buakaw first and if this fight is going to be push through then Conor will be next. And most likely early next year or December for a Floyd exhibition fight. Usually Floyd fights in December, so this is still possible.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 18, 2024, 11:53:56 AM
Fear and Anxiety

This is one of the main reasons on why people would really be having that kind of different approach on things on the time that they would really be able to feel up these emotions on which
this could really be the main reason on why they would really be becoming that impulsive. Decisions made would be broken and your mind would be stirred up
which causing those kind of alterations neither with your selection and with your plans or whatsoever in between.

This is why on the time that you would be making some betting then decisions should be something be fixed and cant be altered.

You are right.
Gambling often becomes a habit because people can experience adrenaline and excitement from gambling. This can lead them to gamble more and more without controlling their spending and time. The way to combat this is by first recognizing the problem and admitting that you have a problem.
It is also important to seek help from specialists who can help develop control strategies and teach them how to manage their desires. Remember that gambling can negatively affect your life and relationships with loved ones, so it is important to combat this addiction.

I think every human emotions possible could be reasons to gamble as well. Even if we are happy, and we want to celebrate it, I see people going into the casinos and have some fun time and have the best entertainment. I'm talking about going into traditional base casinos here. There are bars, when you can go and drink with friends and families and live band to listen. That's why I said that emotions or controlling it is the key to stay away from gambling or at least you can manage and mitigate your losses.

However, we all know that it's hard, our hearts and minds are going to play trick on us and I think everyone would agree that sometimes we hear whispers that we should be playing, there is this temptation. And unless you snaps from it and took control, you just don't know, maybe you will go out and play or go online and deposit and it's going to be too late for you as you might be losing already.

I see some hate towards milk on this thread and I’m not sure how I feel about that. I drink close to half a gallon of milk a day. Usually straight from the jug like a beast. Is there really anything better than milk, red meat, and potatoes drenched in butter? I think not.

I’m getting a late start on my push-ups today. Been a busy weekend and I am very sunburned.

Raw milk or straight from the cow's teet might be good.

Yeah, I also been under this GOMAD (Gallon of Milk A Day), really helps when you do strength training like this 100 push up a day. I'll just go into a convenient store and bring it with me in the office, have it beside me in the table and jug it out from time to time.

Of course, this is not for everyone, specially if you are lactose intolerance, maybe you need to read the label of the milk first. Or they could be replacement like Soya Milk.

Really feels good to be stronger by the day doing this challenge.  Grin
