1161  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession Highly Likely on: April 09, 2023, 12:54:48 PM
Isn't it though that even before pandemic, we are somewhat moving into recessions? And the Covid-19 just magnified what the economist feared. So yeah, we are already deep in recession, there's only one good topic to read, "Greedflation" has gone too far!.

And we have seen the even US is trying to fight it out, printing money and hiking interest rates to salvage their economy.

The question is how many years will we get out of it, 2-3 years? As individual how to get out of recession?
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 09, 2023, 12:16:28 PM
Yes! Finally! 2 belts in line, 2 belts taken away by Marlon Tapales and he is going home with proud countrymen all rooting for him to win this one.
This is a good sign for Filipino boxers and should also boost Nonito Donaire because he will be the next one to bring home another title.

All my bets won today. Thank you Tapales. It's really worth the risk. Flexing it here.
Congratulations mate, it's really surprising how Tapales can beat Murodjon Akhmadaliev because he had defend his belt for 3 times. Tapales have many experience since he had 40 fights, but his fight was mostly against weak to mediocre boxer, that's make me think Tapales has a slim chance to beat Akhmadaliev.

We really really discount that upsets can happen, Tapales has been having a good run though in the last couple of his fights and it seems he is a late bloomer in boxing. His resume is not that good, but then again, with a big heart just like the rest of the Filipino boxers, this could he a shocker, but for his backers, it's not a surprised.

Donaire fight is still unknown when it will happen, but there are many upcoming big matches e.g. Haney vs Loma, Inoue vs Fulton, Taylor vs Lopez etc.

No date yet for Donaire vs Santiago for the WBC version. But boxing is already taking off, with big fights in the calendar year.

And the most anticipated is Garcia vs Davis this 3rd week of the month.
1163  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 09, 2023, 11:54:34 AM
Historically speaking, April is mostly always bullish for risk on assets. This time too I expect it to breach 30k (although I did expect it to break it in march itself). Maybe it wants to take a dip before rip off ? Just like last time it did from 23k to 19.5k then shot to 28k with back to back dildos.

That's one scenario as well, in order for us to shoot up to $30k or higher, perhaps we need another retracement to like $23k or something. That's how we slingslot prices historically.

But in any case it won't happen this April but still $30k is going to achieved, then there is some big news, a event that might cause investors to FOMO again and then we go from $28k to $30k very quickly.

Btw, your poll only got bullish and super duper bullish options. Where will the bears go then? Lmao.

Here is what the OP says,

Rofl yeah, nope, no bearish options this time.  Cheesy

And asking for a sub 15k move now is just a pipe dream at this point in the game.  Something reeeaally bad has to happen somewhere to spook the whole market out in a yuuuge way.  Like how the pandemic happened and brought everything down.  I'm not discounting anything but with the way things are, everything is looking good.  So far...
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: April 09, 2023, 05:14:40 AM
Another one-sided dominant performance by Shakur Stevenson. They are already trying to build up Shakur vs. Haney. If Haney beats Lomachenko, they will be expected to fight each other and I think the winner should then be considered the best pound for pound fighter in the world. As good as Crawford and Spence are, they have waited too long to make that fight and I think these younger guys are surpassing them by trying to get the best fights made instead of hiding behind promoters.

And with this win, can we give credit to Shakur with this dominant performance of him? For me, he is not tested in this fight and from the beginning, it's just a matter on how he is going to win here, but knockout which round.

It's just very unfortunate that Isaac Cruz turn down this fight as a mandatory fight. It could have been a better fight than the 4th rank Japanese. Cruz is rank 2nd though. But in any case, Shakur has one step inside already, if it Haney that will win, then still a good fight as both are still very young
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving only 1 year away on: April 09, 2023, 05:08:16 AM
And yeah, as early as 2036 or 2040 halving, we will have "almost mine" bitcoin, so it will very hard to acquire as the price is definitely going to increased and who knows what will be the price that time, we might be seeing close to $500k or even $1 mil a pop?

So it's a reminder for us to just accumulate as many as we can. We could sell some in the next bull run, but least still accumulate and HODL and look for long term as bitcoin might be the way for our financial freedom for us and for our family.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 08, 2023, 09:48:26 PM
We can only expect a rematch if it's written in the contract. And since it was not announced that there was something like that, we should not expect a rematch. However, it still depends on the outcome of this fight. If the outcome is controversial and this fight sells to the crowd, promoters would love to make a rematch as they'll make more money from it. The fighters just have to follow the orders from their promoters.

Personally for me, regardless if there's a rematch clause or not, I'm not really thinking anything about rematch. But if I will share my own opinion about that, I don't see Fulton will consider a rematch if he lose but instead, will focus on moving up weight.

Good point, we've heard that he wanted to go up in weight already, but maybe he was advise by his camp to still campaign here even at the last time to face Inoue. As he is a good name in his resume and he will be really tested on this one. So I will say that it's a good move for him and it's a win win. Even if he losses this fight and the belt, he will proved to the boxing fans that he is not afraid to face anyone in the ring even against the Monster in his own country. And boxers love this kind of challenges and this is a great opportunity for Stephen Fulton to cement his legacy this early in his career, rematch or no rematch.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 08, 2023, 09:33:44 PM
It's hard to think how the Mavs lost that one against the Bulls. They still had a good lead in the early fourth quarter but they can't protect it which was a shame. It's hard to close out games when majority of the team's efforts are spent on offense I guess?

Warriors already had a sizeable lead against the Kings. A good statement or impression to make ahead of the playoffs.
I was not expecting the Dallas to make it to the play-in after the series of losses they had from the last 10 games. They just lost momentum and enthusiasm pursuing a playoff spot. Not sure what happened with their roster (not a fan of the team though), but I guess they'll be rebuilding again next season. Also not sure if we see Kyrie in the same uniform next year.
Not good to see any team with Kyrie on is always struggling lol.
The narrative that he'll get traded is too great and I think he'll not be wearing that uniform again but Cuban states that he wanted to keep him considering how hefty they paid for him. They should have just keep their role players instead of Kyrie, that way Luka has more playing time with the ball, it was likely they're not in good chemistry.

I don't know what's with Mark Cuban, but it seems that he really like Kyrie Irving and believed in this guy. Whereas we all know how problematic is Kyrie to the teams that he had joined before, he has so many drama in his career than playing basketball.

Yeah, we can't blame him for what had happen to the Mavs right now, but partially he had to be because he is expected to play that good and help the Mavs go to the playoffs but the opposite happen. They've lost enthusiasm, Luka is on the brink of maybe thinking why they got Kyrie in the first place.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping Dealers on: April 08, 2023, 09:19:26 PM
Recently a man tipped a waiter a car1. Tipping is a way of saying you are satisfied with the service offered and you are saying thanks. From what I know about tipping dealers, you can either choose to tip a chip or a sidebet2. It is a norm in the United States. For those who have ever tipped a dealer, have you been so satisfied with a dealer that you tipped them something other than a chip, money ?

1. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.timesnownews.com/viral/youtube-star-mrbeast-tips-waitress-an-entire-car-gets-slammed-on-social-media-article-99108985/amp

2. https://www.top10-casinosites.net/tipping-live-dealers/

Yeah, when I play in a baccarat table in a traditional based casinos, I gave tips to dealers specially if the hand is good, like hitting a tie or both draws as it is very rare to hit that one. Just a chip tip and the dealer appreciate it.

And I guess it's normal to give tips to them from time to time, at least that's how I saw like the norm when I started to play table games in a land base casino. Even in hotels or restaurants or any other services, most of the time people give tips.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Ranked Second As Bitcoin Miners on: April 08, 2023, 11:02:43 AM
It doesn’t surprise me, Russia probably see the US beginning to make things slightly difficult for miners & investors regarding bitcoin. Russia probably thinks if the US becomes hostile to bitcoin adoption they can seize an advantage by becoming bitcoin friendly. We all know that China banned bitcoin but I’ve been reading lately that Hong Kong has started to think about State Owned exchanges so maybe as part of a NWO Russia & China are planning to become crypto friendly in an attempt to become the world super powers.

Yeah, they will have to find a way as well to stay afloat in their war with Ukraine, so they might as well take advantage of their cheap and renewal energy to mine bitcoin.

And who knows, this could be state sponsored in the future, meaning they could be as friendly to bitcoin as anyone has been specially bitcoin mining since China has ban it already. So win win for them if they become the next bitcoin mining hub.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: April 07, 2023, 11:55:59 AM

But here it will be in Madison Square Garden if I'm not mistaken so Teo has the advantage because he has a lot of fans here.

So we will see the big mouth Teo here if he can back up his trash talking as he said that he will tear up Taylor more than what Jack did.

Teofimo is a colorful fighter so he will continue to thrash-talk Taylor it's his way ever since, he is so confident I hope not too confident because he is facing a well-skilled fighter the crowd will just boost Teofimo's morale because we all know thrash talkers thrive on this if they are being cheered they will continue to thrash talks and in the actual fight they can be reckless because fighters like him, like to entertain the crowd, that could sometimes backfire like what happen in the Kambosos fight, I just hope he learned his lesson from the Kambosos fight.

He will have to performed at his best, just like when he upset Lomachenko back then. However, in his last fight against Sandor Martin, it was just a split decision win for him and he could have lost the fight.

So he can talk smuck as much as he want, but definitely Josh Taylor is not going to back down to the challenge because he is the champion. And better be Lopez back his trash talking, this is 140 lbs division, one of the top premier weight class. So it takes more than to trash talk your opponents here.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 07, 2023, 11:06:22 AM
@goldkingcoiner, agree with you mate that stats could help some users here to have some understanding or idea about this relatively unknown opponent of Casimero, I'll just update the OP if I have the time as I'm busy at the moment IRL,

I don't think that there will be an upset here because such thing could derail the plan of Casimero's promoter of him having a big fight in the near future, this will be an easy fight for him.

This is a cherry pick for fight for Casimero, so he will have to win this fight, otherwise the potential fight for Inoue or anyone in the division will not happen and it will life difficult for Casimero because he will have to start from scratch again.

What I think even if he win on this match he can't still successfully acquire the attention of Inoue's promoter to deal with up with him and negotiate about their fight. If they want to do it well they set it up before but many notice that they are avoiding and choose to fight another opponent.

Maybe he need to get more win on big fights so that they cannot escape if they challenge Inoue and fans commentary about they want to make this fight to happen.

It depends on the status of Casimero because Inoue's fight with Fulton is a championship fight. If Inoue wins, he will become a champion, and therefore Casimero needs to be either a top contender or a champion as well in order for Inoue to agree to unify their belts.

However, it's still too early to talk about that. What Casimero has to do is to continue fighting and continue winning. Eventually, he will get to that stage, assuming that Inoue is not avoiding him.

Just baby steps for Casimero starting in this fight and I think he will be good in this division. Inoue on the other hand has his hands full with Fulton and maybe the other champion in this division.

They might take a different path, but if Inoue win against Fulton then all roads lead to him. So Casimero will have to win every fight moving forward starting here. And he should fight big name after this one so that he will be recognized by the governing body as a potential mandatory fighter for Inoue in the future. So still there is a big chance for him to face Inoue as this is the fight that he wanted since bantamweight.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 07, 2023, 10:29:07 AM
4 losses in a row and Jazz is officially out of the play-in picture now. Mavericks have 2 games left, against Bulls and Spurs. Bulls guaranteed their 10th place so it's very possible for Mavs to win both games. Thunder have only one game left and they'll play with Grizzlies. Normally it'd be a though game but we probably see big rotation before play-off so Thunder may win this one. Last place for play-in will be determined in last games literally. I'm okay with both teams, either Thunder or Mavs for play-in but I don't think they'll get a spot in play-off.

It's sad that the Jazz is out for good. But it was a good season for them in spite of being branded as a rebuilding team. The team has too many future draft picks in the coming years. Lauri Markkanen showed star potential and hopefully, the management will try to start making the team competitive otherwise he is wasting his stay in Utah.

They were even in the top of the standings, Lauri Markkanen even make it to his first All Star game. And Clarkson has a break out season as well if not for his injuries the Jazz could be in the playoffs right now. So yeah, there is a big potential for this team next season.

I want to see Dallas enter the play-ins rather than OKC. The Pelicans without Zion and the Timberwolves are inconsistent teams and are still beatable especially since Dallas has more playoff runs than these teams. I am not sure what happens if in case of a tie. Is head-to-head the first option? OKC is 2-1 against the Mavs so they are most likely to qualify then.

We will have to see, Dallas and OKC are still fighting it out, both are really looking for a playoff or play-in spot.

Of course, Dallas could be a good team in the playoff because of Luka and Kyrie. We will never forget how he manhandled Phoenix Suns last season. With him and Booker trash talking but Luka having the last laugh.
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 07, 2023, 10:07:21 AM
On the morning of April 7, Twitter officially removed the Doge logo and replaced it with the old logo for this social network, and the price of the Doge also plummeted shortly after. We can see Elon's manipulation of this coin.

Yeah, and as what we have been preaching, Doge is a meme coin and have been manipulated by Elon Musk for his own good. Not the price goes down hard and I would say that it has affected the market as well as almost all coins are down.

For me, the life of Dogecoin depends a lot on Elon, Elon can continue to support and may also look for another meme to replace Doge. So investing in it will be very risky, but if you accept those risks, you can invest. There are many better options than Doge as well as higher profitability than Doge, I think you should consider carefully before investing.

And that is the thing, we can't rely on Doge itself, I mean there's no used case for this project, it just existed as a meme coin in the last 5 years or so. It's that Elon learn how to manipulate everyone to buy this coin. Others might be intelligent and smart enough to make money out of it. But for sure, majority has been losing money here, in my opinion.
1174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: April 06, 2023, 09:45:55 PM
If we look at the development of the Bitcoin price since the beginning of this year, it is clear that there are more positive trends than small corrections that have occurred, so it is only natural that many believe that the Bitcoin price will continue to move in a positive direction this June, even though it will be slow.
personally I believe that until now it is still categorized as the right time to buy Bitcoin either for the long or short term.
It's still April, not June. Indeed, it is very natural for everyone to think at this time because in general it is still very good and it is not too late to buy Bitcoin if you still have unused funds for other things. But for now Bitcoin still needs more people to push the price increase gradually every month so that Bitcoin continues to be eyed by many people this year so that it can give birth to even better moments and trends in the next year.

It's a prediction, that's why he is looking for the June pump and whatnot. But if we look at the price right now, it seems that we are having a hard time to break $29k at least. And we are trading sideways for at least 2 weeks now. It could be a good sign that we might have slowed down a bit, but the control is with the bulls.

As for investing, yeah, if you have capital to begin with, then invest right now. We are looking for like $100k in the next bull run.

So with the current price, if will still give us a good returns in 2024-2025.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 06, 2023, 09:34:28 PM
I have seen several casinos with promotions where they do "drops" to thousands of people or they give bonuses to several gamblers, but how transparent is this process?

Do you think casinos are really doing these drops to 1000s of people or are they skimming from the top.... ? They might say a drop is for 2500 people, but they might only drop for 500 people and nobody will know. Yes, some of those 500 people will report that they have received the drop and it will look legit.... but is it really?

How can the gamblers verify that the actual amount of people are receiving the drop or the bonus, if there are no list to verify it? Let's discuss this.. I am curious if other people also thought about this...  Tongue

We will never know, just like when others accused casinos of cheating them and that the casino's are not fair. Not unless they will have to show us the name of the gamblers that have received the drop and they themselves confirmed it. But as gamblers in crypto, we wanted to remain as private and anonymous so I doubt that casinos will give us the names or the gamblers confirming that they've got the drop.

So for me there's no way to confirmed it.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 06, 2023, 09:21:59 PM
No mate, I believe that @cryptomaniac_xxx is referring to the Lakers next match-up which is against the Phoenix Suns. The season hasn't ended yet for the Los Angeles Lakers because they still have 2 games left to play which I also got some doubts if they can upset them especially now that Durant is there and Booker is still explosive, after that, they will be facing the Utah Jazz again.
Durant's stats together with Phoenix Suns is good and that's why they can't just sweep them but with Jazz, it's possible that they're going to win against them.
Anyway, I believe in Lakers and that's why it's possible that they'll have some great ending on this season after being on the drowning status that we've all witnessed.
Well, I think Lakers has still breathing room and that they can clinch that play-in spot but when it comes to the playoffs I think the chance is slim with how they perform, they really are not performing well except for LBJ and AD. Yeah it's still early to predict it but with Jazz as an opponent I think that's a difficult task.

Only AD is performing very well for me, he even become player of the week because he average 30++ points. LBJ is different when he comes back, he take is slow in the first two quarters, maybe he wants to involved the team. Austin Reaves is also pushing himself every game.

But they still have the chance, they just need to be very consistent in the remaining games to get at least in the play-in.

However, it will be tough if they go against a team like Nuggets in the first round. Denver is complete now and they don't know someone to guard Jokic.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do new online casinos struggle? on: April 06, 2023, 11:21:26 AM
Which one do you think is better and has more healthy growth for a new online casino?

Is it better for a new casino to take their time very slow with their project for the time being to be able to raise some money first and only attract users with banners and small advertisements?

Or a new casino project should go all in on doing advertisements starting from their launch date with everything they've got?

Why do new online casinos struggle? A Few I knew are not doing fine and they had to put an end to their advertising campaigns.

I think if you are starting in any kind of business, you need to full blast it out in the beginning. Meaning you need to promote, advertised it so that customers will come to you doorstep. You don't need to take it slow as this is a very cut throat business and the only best survived.

As you have seen when there are a lot of casinos that open in 2020 and up to know they are in the business and still have their signature campaign here. Thee are even as old as like Stake who still promote as well. So it's a ongoing campaign for them to keep them afloat and on top of the competition.
1178  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit Casino loosing value due to Licensing Ambiguity amongst users on: April 03, 2023, 04:19:05 AM
They do have a signature campaign on the forum.

[CFNP] Rollbit.com | Signature Campaign | Full Members+ ~ Earn up to $80/Week!

Will it affect this? It would make sense for them to pause or end the campaign if they have these problems.

It's not for us to decide though, but in my opinion, they can continue with their campaign, and I don't think that they are going to close just because of the licensing issue that they are facing and for sure they are going to address it instead of just closing their signature campaign.

They have their reputation already and if I'm not mistaken, they are one of those casinos born out of the pandemic.

So it will be pity if they would just close their operations or worst their signature campaign in this community. As for the coins, again, we have seen a lot of crypto based token that didn't do well in the past but I think their operation is still running.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 03, 2023, 03:41:13 AM
^^ And it's hard to see them facing, I think if Donaire will win this fight, he will have to defend it within the own organization as he is just a newly crown champion and just like the rest of boxers that will win in the other major governing belts. There will be no cross over fight or unification just yet.

For sure though, The Donaire's will have this in mind, that at one time, Moloney who agreed by principle during the WBC convention to fight him for the belt suddenly change his mind and then go on to move to WBO.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 03, 2023, 03:26:33 AM
How about the game between the Bucks and the Sixers, two MVP in the game, but in the end it was all Giannis as he lead the Bucks to a huge victory against Joel Embiid and his Sixers.

They started hot in the 1st quarter, and if I'm not mistaken they like 7 out of 7 in the field to take a double digit lead. And after that, the Bucks didn't get up any, although they've close the gap in the 3td quarter until they hit back to back threes and then Giannis scoring in the last 2 minutes as he had a mismatch. Brook Lopez too was able to hold his ground against Joel. And with this win, they've solidify their top spot in the East.
