Yeah, and nullc and his shills get to manipulate the protocol and all miners will just follow along.  every other chain has to go out and start their own alt.   Why doesn't nullc have to start a new chain when he introduces new ideas to the protocol?  Why does nullc get to call his new altcoin 'Bitcoin' and impose those changes on the 'majority' chain? 

If SegWit and Lightning are truly better, then nullc and his gang should be delighted to start a new chain and rid themselves of the 16million BTC load that comes with staying on the old chain. 

Because like the others, there is no chance to start a new chain.  So, saying: 'go do your fork' goes two ways.  Let that fucker nullc go do his fucking alt on a new chain too.

but segwit is not an adjustable seatbelt.
segwit is putting 4 wheels on a motorcycle to emulate a car, but get special permisson to use the bike lane.. to then advertise 2 wheel motorcycles in the future that require the passenger on the back to charg you for his time to let you use the carpool/bike lane simply because 2wheeled bikes are faster.

the person calling it an outright altcoin is saying it i presume. for the same reason core devotee's are calling anything not core an altcoin.
even when other implementations have been running on bitcoins mainnet for atleast a year.

the base of segwits code (the concept) did not begin in 2009 from satoshi's vision. segwit began separately as an altcoin as part of blockstreams elements and then tweaked into bing bitcoin compatible version

it changes alot of things 'under the hood'
how data is stored on peoples computers, how its relayed between nodes, even how the transactions and blocks are formed.
though its bitcoin compatible. its alot different to the original vision.

many say if certain things change in bitcoin. like is stupidly its suggested to change bitcoins coin cap and difficulty retarget patterns to emulate say litecoin. then bitcoin is no longer bitcoin.. even if the 7 year historic data still continues growing and all nodes are connected to that same chain of data that goes back to satoshis genesis block.

so although its not an "altcoin" the direction its taking us in is far different than imagined in say 2009-2014

I have fairly little respect for the 'I do not listen to Jones, but...' types.  If you've only heard snippets edited together by those who are threatened by him, you probably don't have very valuable input.  I've listened to Jones off and on for a long time and the things he's been screaming from the rooftops about (police state, corporate world govt, etc) have proven remarkably on-target.  Just having some of these things in my list of hypothesis under consideration have been very valuable to me over the years, and he commonly produces items which I would not have stumbled across on my own.

Beyond that, without almost any exception that I can think of Jones' messages about how the divide and conquer techniques involving race, sexual identity, etc, are a scam that we should not fall for are universally good messages to communicate.

I do have some concerns about some of Jones' staff from time to time.  If there are establishment sponsored efforts to get a race war going (for instance), I think that Infowars would do well to catalog things in a less one-sided way sometimes.  Yes, the mainstream media (who are perfectly happy to promote scam events to the max) need a counter-balance, but it is only doing their bidding to provide a lop-sided view from the other side.

Who needs proof? People believe anything if they hear it often enough? It's called political science.

For example. The whole idea of evolution is based on, like, 99.999% people talking about it being real, even though it has never been proven. In fact, it is only within the last decade or so that there is any evidence at all that it might have some slight semblance of truth in it. Yet the books are full of it.

Political science rules. Say it enough, and it will be believed. That is what political science is. So, evolution and a lot of other things have been proven by science. But they have only been proven by the lies of political science, the only science that COULD BEGIN to prove them.

Lack of respect is a bad thing. People are imperfect but that doesn't mean they don't deserve respect.

I think bitcoin will be mine-able till 2023. So after that the mining will be stopped and miners those who have already bought expensive rigs, will move to a different coin to make us of that rigs.

But then bitcoin will become a very rare and expensive coin. We can see a manifold jump in price after the last mined coin. I believe there are many people who are earning and storing bitcoin for that d-day only. I am one of them.

I think that new religions will not appear. All religions appeared long time ago when the people were not educated. Now to deceive the people becomes more difficult.

Religion you can not deny. First it teaches people the rules of behavior in society, and secondly, the religion itself will cease to exist when all people will be well educated.
