It isn't really a problem if we talk about internet udage in a daily basis, because internet over time is getting cheaper yet, with increasing speed. Or if you have not much funds with you to spend in a monthly internet, use yiur mobile data, basically the use of daily sites we have is quite low in bandwidth. We could have prepaud loads and the use VPN for a connection and you're good to go already.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: Say Goodbye to Banking as We Know It on: January 17, 2020, 07:41:03 AM
Perhaps China will indeed become the first country to launch its own digital national currency. But I think this is not a reason to say that America is lagging behind China in development. In the United States, technological progress is much more versatile. And I think that the leading countries of the world are also able to launch their own digital currencies, if the economic situation requires it.

I think it goes the other way around, blockchain projects are much more prominent in china and there is currently no update concerning them to create their own cryptocurrency as a national currency as well. For us to have a better world and economy, we should regulate money by means of alloting funds for improvement, if bitcoin and crypto today will not allow that to happen, I can see big countries will look for options to do that to align their country to innovation.

I have known bitcoin since 2018, many of the altcoins that I get have no meaning because they do not have a market to exchange tokens. hopefully in 2020 bitcoin will return to a time where it was very profitable.

It is mainly because of two things, these altcoins aren't supposed to be created in a purpose of being profitable and useful, second, this altcoins are just merely created to emphasize that the project is innovative but in fact, worthless and with no value. My bitcoin experience in 2019 is quite steady, I haven't loss too much because I'e applied all the learnings I git from the bear market in 2018. Perhaps, my 2020 will surely be more profitable as I continue to hodl and save funds with cryptocurrency.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people debate so much about BTC value? on: January 17, 2020, 04:46:15 AM
I think that is because they want to get their profit quickly.

Most of these people arguing or debating tends to wait for the pump of the price so they can get a profit out of their investment. Another thing is that when the price pumps, they tend to be so excited how much it can pump more. I think that is just it, the feelings or emotions just circulate in there.

Well, the topic is mainly based on the value of BTC which is the intrinsic value of it that will not need USD for it to rely on. But for me, this is quite impossible, as most of the people today is already utilizing fiats, it is merely impossible for crypto or bitcoin in exact, to be used as people look for the vakue of bitcoin mainly based from USD, if that is to happen, mainly right from the start people should already promote using BTC with its value depending on BTC itself.
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one ever sells, nor buys anything in BitCoin.. Think this is wrong, read on! on: January 16, 2020, 12:59:06 PM
That’s really interesting fact. The main reason for this is bitcoin price volatility. Bitcoin is still valued in US dollar and its own value is yet to come. Things like house rent in bitcoin can be materialized if we have a stable bitcoin who has value independent of US dollar.

This could probably happen for a longer time, for now, bitcoin is evidently supported by fiat where people keeps finding a standard to check the currency market price of bitcoin. And since dollar is the most preferred, it will be seen to abide bitcoin whenever people wants to view its condition. Though, if we could really make bitcoin the number one currency in the world, people will start to see the value of it by buying things strictly through bitcoin and without considering its conversion to dollar.

But IMHO, I want bitcoin to stay the same, because I could take advantage of it to gain profits out of the market.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: Demand for computing power on: January 16, 2020, 05:46:08 AM
The most neglected aspect of the discussion is usually moore's law and the number of transistors on an area doubling roughly every 2 years. As transistor density of GPUs and ASICs increases, performance per watt rises dramatically. Leading to a double whammy where not only do new GPUs and ASICs perform better. They also consume less electricity.

True. About 2-3 years ago top GPUs (RX570/1080ti) were built with 14-16 nm process technology. Now AMD has released new GPUs with 7 nm process technology (RX5500/5700). They are more efficient and utilizes less power. The same trend follows with Bitmain ASICs: Antminer S9 (16 nm) in 2017 vs Antminer S17 (7 nm) in 2020.

What if, the new amd threadripper will be use to mine bitcoin and other cryptpcurrencies, and since we are facing problems through the mining especially to the efficiency of its consumption of electricity, we could use more powerful mining rigs as of today to mine bitcoin. In addition, instead of increasing the hash power, we could also help the system itself to consume less hash power, less energy to process more efficient blocks in the future through the use of different consensus algorithms.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivate currency exchangers in big city centres to exchange bitcoin ? on: January 16, 2020, 05:21:49 AM
Would it be more possible if we have small business adopting first to bitcoin followed by big exchanges? but it is also possible that these big exhanges will be the driving force to attract small businesses to adopt to cryptocurrency. With this, it might be easier to push the approval of the government to apply and formulate laws concerning crypto, unlike by small business which will noticable to be just ignored by the government.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: January 16, 2020, 01:06:20 AM
Meetup and other social gatherings are very key in spreading the technology around the blockchain to local people with the aim of getting it globally accepted. This can be from worship ground, partying together, attending social function just to name a few.

Basically, just live the way with cryptocurrency, in some simple questions we ask them such as asking them if they know crypto, or in stores if they accept it as payment, or in online community or groups if you could possibly make each transaction possible with bitcoin. This is quite effective, because opening up their mind to cryptp will enable them to think about it. Thus, with them havung the initial idea abkut bitcoin will be the reason for them to use it when they badly need to transact globally. In my case, we probably lewrn bitcoin just because we hear our friends getting profits out of it.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one ever sells, nor buys anything in BitCoin.. Think this is wrong, read on! on: January 16, 2020, 12:33:36 AM
That is when we can say, OP is quite having a low knowledge about understanding the value of bitcoin, thus, most of his statement relies in the conversion of bictoin to dollar.

OP, it will just take time when you could buy goods at the groceries telling the cashier how much bitcoin it is rsther than thinking how much is it in dollars. We don't have strong adoption yet, but surely in the near future when bitcoin regains more value, price will turn the table for BTC to br the basis.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: January 15, 2020, 03:06:07 PM
To be honest here, we could still become successful in creating businesses by just having a good communication skills and you do not need an education in a University because the internet is so accessible as well as the information that you can use to learn about the basics of economics. Learning by yourself is the common thing now because it will save you money since the universities charge too much tuition fee for its students.

Here's the thing, unless we are buying books mainly created in our country that is directly teaching us about the economy, then it would be effective. Plus, people are mainly distributed, some instructors aren't living in the same country's as ours. With this, economy of different country varies, leading to a different perspective we could formulate to apply to our own place. So, with that, we need to know the course objective and the books that universities are using, plus to be in field to really learn economics even without enrolling in universities.
171  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire on: January 15, 2020, 02:12:21 PM
All of the government want their citizen to succeed in life or better, be a millionaire. Having a millionaire in a growing economy will boost its progress even faster because the millionaires will bring more money into the circulation of cash in the economy which will result for higher accumulation of taxes and more jobs that will be created because of the opportunities that the millionaires will provide to its government and country.

This is quite the opposite of the reality, because in some countries, there are government that has their flaws for becoming a government with corrupt leaders, basically, instead of making their people benefits from lots of project they could possibly conduct, they chose to take away portions of taxes given by the people. So with this, instead of blaming bitcoin, why not consider it as the factor to escape corruption instead? In the near future, with decentralization, true wealth from hardworking people will be seen.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a bullish sign as halving approaches? on: January 15, 2020, 01:48:51 PM
It's a simple case, Most of the people are expecting a positive vibe of this system, It's a long time people didn't get a good value and benefit from cryptocurrency. Since Bitcoin is the mother of this system so other cryptocurrencies will follow the footstep of Bitcoin, If the price of Bitcoin would get high then cryptocurrency world would get a good vibe for sure, it would work as oxygen for this crypto world, That's why Bitcoin halving would be a good thing from my perspective, so it's a normal thing that people are very excited for this event. I think it's not a big deal.

Well, with this, it implies more on the concept and feelings of people toward the awaited bitcoin halving but in fact, it has a pure technical effect to the market why bitcoin will surely does increase. We just have a bonus effect towards the mindset of the people to boost up the market a bit, because it is one thing for sure, we, the bitcoin hodlers, investors and enthusiasts do really have 1 mindset towards halving, which is to make the price increase, as a result, we'll buy allot and this will be the reason of a good market spike for us to sell.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 67,1% of micro businesses do not know what cryptocurrencies are. on: January 15, 2020, 05:38:32 AM
of course because the number of people who understand and use cryptocurrency is very small compared to people who don't know about cryptocurrency. therefore if we want mass adoption to materialize soon we must always promote bitcoin and cryptocurrency to our relatives and friends. so that more and more people who understand and want to invest in cryptocurrency. but I am optimistic that more and more people are supporting and implementing the blockchain. it will increase the number of people who know cryptocurrency.

With this, different traditional marketing strategy vould be applied to increase adoption of cryoptocyrrency, I myswlf consider wearing shirts that has a bitcoin logo in it, to have mugs, glasses, items and merch that has bitcoin's image will definitely make bitcoin adoption better. Think of some famous brands we have right now, that happened because people can always see their projects everywhere because of paid advertisements. What more we can do if we advertise crypto for free.
174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Get Its First Price? on: January 15, 2020, 04:57:41 AM
If the reason why government banned bitcoin is its volatility, the reason is quite not appropriate. Legal jurisdiction of the country shoukd be considered because we all know bitcoin is an investment platform, Meaning to say that volatility is quite normal.

I rather consider illegal usage of bitcoin to be more appropriate reason to ban bitcoin. Moving on, with the price reaching awesome heights, this could not be a good start for newbies but considerably profitable for those who have a huge hold of bitcoin.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: January 14, 2020, 05:58:17 PM
In my case, there are two main factors why it's still hard to use Bitcoin "daily". For my daily living and expenses, it's hard since there's still no enough acknowledgement of Bitcoin in my place because there's still no law about it. Another reason is its volatility. I can't just use it to buy things everyday, I still have to monitor the market. But if I have the opportunity to use it, it's a great opportunity to use it in reality aside from online

But to use bitcoin to a transaction will really cost you allot in your daily living. I probably suggest you use bitcoin for huge transactions though, still included in your daily life, but take advantage of the cryptocurrencies we have. Bitcoin is not the only crypto we could use but it could serve as the main currency we need, and  we could convert it to other assets such as XRP or ethereum daily, allot for transactions that we are making. In this case, we aren't just using bitcoin, but incorporating the use of altcoin. Thus, utilizing more cryptocurrency will lead to better crypto adoption.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China & The Bitcoin on: January 14, 2020, 05:36:24 PM
It is difficult to say how crypto will affect China. But China will definitely affect crypto.

It will definitely be a vise versa action, but with the intervention of the Government, making it impossible for cryptocurrency to affect China while China is affecting cryptocurrency. How? Spreading news concerning banning crypto or banning mining will affect the market because people believe in the capability of the population of China, and its impact to the market, most importantly because China holds huge hash rate through their mining facilities.
Though, if the barrier will be broken and Government will allow people to freely adopt crypto, then more positive effect will come in place.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] Bitcoin is a fraud where a gift record is presented as a market item on: January 14, 2020, 05:05:23 PM
everyone has different opinions, if you don't like bitcoin then it's a good idea to find a new place and tell this to people who don't know bitcoin. if you attach to this forum I think you are misplaced, here is the scope of crypto and when you make a rejection then you must present information that has a high argument.

Basically, with people already rich with knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, it is hard to just provide a thread that will aim to turn the table suddenly. I hope OP, you should first have the strong source of information about this, because bitcoin is proven in different ways, and cryptocurrency supporters will just hate people spreading this kind of thoughts, though, I am not against your opinion, I highly appreciate if you support bitcoin because believe me or not, it doesn't have intention to bankrupt people because it isn't the same with your banks.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scams and new Bitcoin users on: January 14, 2020, 04:17:30 PM
Most people want easy money and they fall into the scammers ' pit. And I know it's happening all the time and most people lack awareness about how this investment actually works and that's why they're taking advantage of it and exploiting it as well. So even you have a lot of post about this scheme, people are still entertaining so making an investment even you know there's a huge risk of losing their money.

But basically, this kind of post does really help newbies and users to be aware of what could happen to them if they trust some quick rich scheme investment platform. One of of education is repetition, I highly believe that us, seeing warnings will eventually lead us to become more vigilant and aware of being scammed. Imagine, if there is no one reminding us with this, even if we have strong foundation of knowledge, if we miss a single sign that a project or offer is doubtful, we could might as well, fall for these traps.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make mining sustainable on: January 14, 2020, 03:37:14 PM
PoS is not a cure. It adds so many more problems that I don't see much viability in the concept. Another thing is that most people only care about PoS because it allows them to earn passive income. They do not care about anything else as long as they see that yield. Admittedly, I like the idea of passive income as well, but I'm glad that Bitcoin isn't following that route.

If Ether ends up transitioning to PoS and there is some decent incentive for me to stake, I might seriously look into it, but purely from a profiteering perspective. I'll explore any possible trustless way to get more satoshis in return.

With that regard, what we need to adjust and to improve is the source of electricity and resources we need to use in order to mine bitcoin. Me too, I do not think what's best for a particular cryptocurrency would also be the same when applied to others. We can see, the efficiency we need to figure out is through the power consumption and rewards, and bitcoin surely does have its own protocol for that, let's just trust the system because in the near future, with the POW, miners will be happy to sell their bitcoin at huge price.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why will you invest in something you know nothing about? on: January 13, 2020, 10:08:17 AM
Probably people will not invest into something they don't really know because it is the first step to getting scammed in the first place. Investing into a project we don't know is like diving too hard into a dirty swimming pool where, we really don't know how deep it is. We might get hit directly to the tiles, or to successfully dive to a deep water but the water being dirty might just lead us to have bacteria related diseases. I think of this analogy to imply that we shouldn't invest in any projects we didn't know, because any way for use, it might lead our funds to a wrong hands.
