@Cresticton, could you please stop spamming our thread? You can FUD all you want but please do it in just one post.

Thank you

Where is your ID and proof you are a real person?
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRO | The Start of a new altcoin era. on: April 13, 2015, 01:10:01 PM
Mining will start in a few hours, we will post a countdown as soon as we are ready. Please beware that the first 150 blocks will offer 0 block reward to avoid instamining.

Thank you for your patience.

ANN redesign is completed! Roadmap is being worked on and should be out in a few hours, thank you for your patience.
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRO | The Start of a new altcoin era. on: April 13, 2015, 01:06:35 PM
Hey everyone,

Thank you for staying with us this far, now that the PoW launch is behind us and the blockchain is moving we can finally start building PRO's ecosystem.

We have some surprises for this week, the  TOR shop we've been working for some months will come online and you can count with some wallet design goodies coming as well.
Next week we will witness protrade.io's launch, a big step and the biggest addition to the ecosystem yet.

Please follow us on twitter twitter for daily updates!

What type of goods will be in TOR shop?

The TOR shop will host all kinds of goods, the rules are yet to be established but stuff like child porn won't be listed obviously.

OmegaMarket Specifications:

-Featured Products
-Discounts
-No guns, child porn or hardcore porn allowed. (The omega team reserves the right to delete any listing that affect in same way the integrity of the market)
-Possibility of paying in bitcoin (coming soon)
-Sellers rating (coming soon)

Hey everyone, we got exciting news!

ProMarket is now ONLINE.

What is ProMarket?

ProMarket is PRO's own TOR market, it will be a platform to sell all kinds of goods, anonymously.

Why is this good for PRO?

ProMarket is a way for people  to start using PRO as a mean to exchange value, exchanging goods and services. This will also make PRO more valuable and help it become, not only a speculative investment but a real currency, a bit like silkroad did with bitcoin.

How can I access it?

You need to install TOR and access http://xvh6hu6gk2mwzxuk.onion/.

The Market is empty, when will it start working?

We have fully developed the market locally and are now in the process of pushing it to TOR, this will happen in the next 2 weeks, maximum. We expect that in one week people will be able to join the market and list their own products.

1604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRO | The Start of a new altcoin era | Exchange with futures coming! on: April 13, 2015, 01:02:29 PM
I am curious as to why the dev hasn't put an end to this FUD despite being online currently.

What should we say to end the attacks against PRO? We will just let people say what they please and then show results from our work.

Grin

Well so just read it like'we will be here for 4 more days and then disappear. But we promise to come up with another ICO'. Lol

Look at that kids above, everyday here for talking bullshit, and some people will ask why the devs will leave the project.... or why the price is so low   Roll Eyes

This forum is full of kids @Battareus you will get a cancer, how old are you? your history is full of hate, only hater messages, sad life obviously.

@omegadevteam make this thread moderated if you really want to save your reputation.

Hey StonerStanley, thank you for your continuous support.

We don't think that making the thread moderated would be better for the project, there's really nothing we can do against troll/fudders but to ignore them and let our actions speak louder than our words.

In the meanwhile we just confirmed some more exciting news, Omega will launch IN-WALLET browser surfing. With i2p and tor proxies included. This means you will be able to access the OmegaMarkets directly from your wallet!
We hope this step will contribute to the market adoption.

The ETA for the in-wallet browsers is 1 week.

Thank you.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRO | The Start of a new altcoin era | Exchange with futures coming! on: April 13, 2015, 12:34:47 PM
just a reminder: pro dev is same dev as omega.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=936629.0

Hey Crestington, another newb account to make FUD ?! Tongue

I only posted once and I don't use noob accounts to post, if I have something to say I will come out and say it and won't hide behind other accounts.

This is a 99% premined Coin from a brand new account.....

Both threads also look exactly the same and both are making TOR markets, both have the same graphics, and both say "no child porn" among the same use of writing style from the developer. Newbie dev needs proof that he is a real person and isn't going to just buy out the ICO with their own BTC and get it back afterwards and then dump it all on the market. No ICO sells out in 2 hours, period.

But I'm sure you will keep thinking whatever you want......
1606  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 13, 2015, 12:14:25 PM

sad attempt to pump. hes never going to build 'walla'

is "walla" the new term for going full retard?

I'm about to buy some paycoin just to support this drama a little longer, this is literally gold entertainment level.

Yeah I don't know if I really want PayCoin to completely die, that would really take away a lot of entertainment from around here.

I think deep down we all need a little PayCoin for all the facepalm moments, endless amount of memes and total oh my GAWD moments.
1607  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 13, 2015, 12:07:13 PM

sad attempt to pump. hes never going to build 'walla'

Damn, beat me to it.

This is a bad idea even if he actually does do it, the only way is to be able to encompass the ENTIRE float and that is a huge gamble.

Cryptsy trading for XPY has resumed, good time to sell if you have it at 0.0008.

Was a great time to sell, 50% drop
1609  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 13, 2015, 11:38:39 AM
Fun fact: PayCoin has lost 78% this week
1610  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 13, 2015, 11:19:47 AM
wowow, Bittrex is getting pounded, back down to 0.0004 and broke through the wall on Cryptsy

XPY is in freefall, no telling how long it will go.
1611  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 13, 2015, 11:09:26 AM
Buy walls on Cryptsy just getting torn up, 9 BTC taken out of the 0.00048 wall in the last 10 minutes.
1612  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 13, 2015, 11:00:51 AM
Price on Bittrex hit 0.00035 !!!!

It broke through 0.0005 on Cryptsy but there is a 13 BTC buywall at 0.00048 or was (just took out more than half of it)

If it hit that low on Bittrex, it's likely going to flood over to Cryptsy as well so if it breaks that there is no support underneath it.
1613  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 13, 2015, 10:38:53 AM
You may not like the players but they are just transitory, if you want Paycoin to survive GAW as to be gone, he is just an hustler who will ride it till
no money can be made from his daily dump no ethics or morals....Paycoin foundation have a plan, the new wallet is the start of that if you cannot see that
you need to get an intelligence upgrade...there are no more developers at GAW and nothing is going on there but Homero BS

I like the new developers but they have little experience with the Blockchain, the new wallet only partially fixes the issues as they would still need to fix the minimum difficulty readjustments among Stake grinding and Block drift.

Sorry to say but in all the commits that they have put out that there are really only 2 commits that actually do anything and that is just a 10 second wait for getpushblocks, and the change of the Stake rate for Prime Nodes.

There is nobody that has any competence on anything, no moral character of any kind and there exists no possible plan to really turn around this shitshow. Just kicking the can along the road down further into the gutter is what their plan does.

The changing of stake rate is another example of having no competence in anything.

--It is a huge fail from business point of view as it encourages people to take coin out from stakers and since for 100% staker owners the normal stakers with their 5% rate is laughable the prime stake owners are encouraged to sell their massive amounts of coin daily depressing the coin value. Huge fail from business point of view.

--It is a huge fail from technical point of view. Demanding people to take out coin daily with no way to enforce it if somebody does not want to play ball is just laughable from technical point of view how cryptocurrencies are supposed to work.

--100% inflation is ifself a huge fail. It is not much better than 350% as both of them offer absolutely insane amount of coins in a 10 or 20 year timespan. It is clear that nobody who talks about 100% or 350% inflation annually is not thinking ahead any further than a couple of months max.

The only sensible solution to this inflation issue is to ALLOW COMPOUNDING to encourage coins to stay put in the stakers and fix the inflation rate small enough so that after compounding it has some sensible value like 10% annually. But I am not holding my breath that the thieves in charge see this as an viable solution. Any halfsensible coin developer would do it like this.

I fully agree on all points.

There is one HUGE thing they are missing in all of this, simplicity.

The moment you start overcomplicating everything, it all goes wrong. In every decision you make and everything you do should be one question "what is the simplest solution to the problem" because that will ultimately be the most effective solution and then you build from there.
1614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MaryJane the Chill, Sexy & Secure Coin...[ANN|MARYJ] on: April 13, 2015, 10:27:54 AM
oh and i asked bittrex to resync and when they did i sent them maryj to make up for the coins that people lost last week. then they had wallet issues again after it seemed to be fixed. im not the person to throw away money on an issue that seems to need a better solution thats in progress and will be here soon.

or do people think its a good idea for a company to fix say a broken work van constantly or buy a new one with less money than you would spend on repairs...

Hi,

Fire Rabbit asked me to give a hand with some Blockchain issues.

It's best not to get stressed out by issues and things going on around the Coin otherwise you tend to overlook things that turn out to be a very simple solution. Relax and smoke a joint, and lets get down to business.

What are the issues you are having? Please detail every incident relating to sync issues and events around that time.

I do development work on ColossusCoin2 and PayCon, I have also performed several successful hardforks and have been working with POS only Coins since before BlackCoin and NXT.

I can't guarantee you anything but I'm sure I can be of some help.

nice to see you here  Wink

as far as i know coins can be sent but they dont arrive in the wallet they are sent to...
i dont know whom that was, but someone said sending between qt wallets worked for him, dont know if he had the same ip and thats why it worked.
also my wallet is staking and is showing a higher amount than the blockexplorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/maryj/ does.
and therefor all exchanges disabled the wallets.
hope someone else can also give you some input.
also it would be good if you contact adam (DEV) and offer your help if you havent done this yet.

im happy to see you here offering your help.

It would be good to work though it here rather than through private messages as lots of feedback can help identify the issues. The Block explorer can show different balances than the wallet since it shows individual addresses, not wallet balances, a wallet consists of many addresses.

For a strong network you need a lot of people Staking on the network, that is having your Coins in your qt wallet, online.

A couple things I noticed

When changing the time drift, it should be changed through a hardfork based on nHeight but most people never go out of their way to update their wallet so a further step should be taken to bump the protocol and then a delayed reject on all peers on the lower protocol after the fork so you don't risk having both conflicting within the same protocol. 24 hours for the initial block drift is a HUGE amount of time and actually even being changed to 1 hour is also a very large amount of drift. The drift time should be as tight as possible, BlackCoins drift was down to just 5 minutes before they changed how their Stake functioned.

A couple other things needed for a strong network is a few good Static nodes for people to connect to and not just relying on a DNS seeder since it only adds addresses periodically.

Was the checkpoint master key new? or was it a descendant of the code it was cloned from?

What code was MaryJane cloned from? I have been through a lot of code and haven't seen the legacy retargeting anywhere else.
Hers some info not sure if its related

maryjanecoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=793704.0

Heritage: RAW(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=708461.0)

Problems:

* MODERATE: genesis seed is not a news event
* MODERATE: Allowed time drift is excessive at 1 day for past or future drift. For reference, bitcoin is 2 hours, and most coins are 15 minutes
* MAJOR: 74 blocks were premined and undisclosed. These blocks had full rewards. This equates to a premine of around 1.7% of PoW coins
* NOTE: PoW coin supply is somewhat wrong. It is actually somewhere around 3 million.. but with the mixin of PoS blocks it's probably around 2.5 million

Notes:

no nodes to be seen ANYWHERE. wtf. Checked in the windows compiled archive, and witnessed the worst windows compile I've yet to witness. Dlls EVERYWHERE.. guess it doesn't matter if it works though

I get errors compiling leveldb because of this erroneous renaming

I mentioned that earlz had a wallet review on github, guess he did not take a look.
Thanks for quoting this post. I had not seen it.

Ok so the Windows wallet is fine, the dll's don't matter at all.

I would assume now the main problem is in the 1 hour Block variance and the 24 hours variance being on the same protocol so we can start making a small list of things to change.

The Block drift can be brought down to about 10-15 minutes with no problem, we can add in a new checkpoint key and setup a couple permanent nodes.

I think there would be another issue somewhere as well, I think what is happening is that there is a wallet or even multiple wallets that are not fully connected to the network so they sync up and start Staking and then create their own fork since the minimum time to Stake is just 3 hours. I want to find out some more about how this Legacy retargeting works, if you guys could help by providing a reference to other code that has it, it would be appreciated. I also remember seeing an issue in another Coin that may be relevant, in this case they had Coins that were supposed to be going to a certain address, but had taken out that address but still had the code and was causing conflicts.

If we could get Earlz or Adam in here to comment on some of the stuff, that would be helpful as well.

After reading that I've come to the conclusion that this guy is just as big of a scumbag as josh.

I reached the same conclusion as soon as he declared he was the one who mined the genesis block.

1617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CON] PayCon POS - 30 CON per Block - SuperBlock Week 10% 100% 350% 3000% on: April 13, 2015, 10:01:24 AM
You mine it with ownership of Coins

This is the crux of the issue.

As a miner, and a noob to PayCon, there is zero incentive for me to become involved with the coin if I don't own any already, as it's impossible to mine at this time.

Why should I bother ?

I tried to get in for the lulz, and now I'm just SMH at the myopia of its design (unless that's part of the joke to begin with)

For me with POW mining, it's all about NOT having the hardware to do any mining that's the problem for me. If you think about someone as a total noob to all of Crypto, they don't know how to mine, setup or configure anything, and the cost of a miner to even get in the game is astronomical, not to mention that it would be very unlikely to ever see any ROI off of it. If there was a POW aspect, then you also need to consistently to uphold security and there is always the risk of a very large amount of hashrate coming in and attacking the chain. Not only do you have to keep mining, POW is much more expensive to upkeep in electricity bills than POS which makes a person forced to sell Coins just to pay for electrical costs.

Proof of Stake costs maybe a couple dollars in electricity month and is getting even more efficient as time goes, I understand that you want to just mine the Coin to get into it but for people who already own the Coin to have POW miners, mining and selling the Coins they are creating, it devalues the Coin. I don't see it so much as price, but what you own VS the entire money supply, so if you have POW then it is really bad to be a large holder in a Coin because you can never keep up with all the sell pressure, you would literally need to buy every POW Coin being sold into the market in order to keep the price stable.

No Proof of work means as time goes on new people are buying from existing holders, it costs less than a couple dollars a month to mine with the Coins you own and since there can never be 100% Stake rate, you are always slightly gaining on the overall inflation, but of course everyone sells at some point so there is always room to accumulate more Coins or even help with some features, promotion etc. for free Coins.

Impossible to POW mine IS the point since there is no point holding on to something that is losing value daily and is a security risk.

So I'm wondering what is happening to the other 150k XPY that didn't get dumped on the market? Seems like a huge risk now that the markets are open.

It doesn't need those xpy. Overall there is nothing left but uncertainty.

No, I mean that is the other half of the Coins get dumped on the market, there isn't enough buy depth and would easily break through 0.0005.

About 20k XPY of sells ($1000) and the only real floor is around 0.00044 of about 4 BTC, no other floors below that.

Yes, I know. But the question is if they're still out there or if they're frozen on Cryptsy.

If there are still another 150k in the wild... it will be faster going down.

Doesn't matter, just them potentially being there to dump will kill price.
