961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][CON] PayCon™ POS 30 Coins per Block - Get your CON on! Upgrade! (12/06/15) on: June 14, 2015, 09:37:53 PM
Hey Crest i'm experiencing a strange thing. If i open paycon-qt in the build folder it opens nicely with themes, whereas if i move it doesn't have themes. How so? I'm guessing the build folder contains themes somewhere? If so can you specify which one so i can pull it out and delete the rest?

Theme's folder is located in the sr/qt/res directory so I would just move the whole build directory. You are trying to just delete the rest of the build stuff except the qt and theme's?
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Want to work with your altcoin? on: June 14, 2015, 12:57:43 PM
Are you interested in working on your own altcoin? I am working on a new altcoin with a team of other developers and we are looking for some certain people to help us make this coin a reality.
We currently need:
Web designer
Pool Operator
Investors (to be repaid + interest or a stake in the coin)
Please Pm me if anyone can fill any of these! More info to be provided over PM's.

Why do you want to use a new Coin when you could work with an existing Coin? or do open source projects that many Coins can use?

I believe I have more to bring to the table in a new coin. This is due to the fact I am not 100% confident in all my own coding abilities and so with the development of a new coin there can be setup fund addresses and the such to raise funds for developers who can hire and work out new coin features they may not have been able to do. I believe I can code and manage a coin well but not so many brand new features on my own.

You should provide some more information about the coin and your plans and how many option you wan to give for developers, investors etc.

I have PM'd you the information.

How are you going to contract out these features if you are paying them in the Coin you want to make? Then they would sell for BTC and drop the market price and if they could already do these things, why would they need the Coin if they can just do it themselves?

Poor PayCoin, keeps making new lows because their Prime Controller Hyper-Inflation wallets provides nothing to the average trader/staker.

Meanwhile PayCon is making new record highs every day in both Marketcap and value per BTC.

Meh, I am going to put you on ignore again, Crestington. I am not interested in posts about PayCon, they are not been funny anymore.

Hmm, well I'll be putting on a theme competition next week if you are interested in participating, win some free Coins and can also help make it just a little bit better. I have a few guides that I'd need to put together first to help people get started, could be fun.

Here you can check out some of the previous resources I posted about a month ago on all kinds of building and cloning etc. https://forum.gethashing.com/t/how-to-clone-a-coin-links-and-resources/3833/18 It was my stockpile of resources over the last year that I found useful.

At this moment you should be most interested in POS Coins and Staking on raspberry pi's, this is going to be the next big improvement. Already low powered resources are getting to be efficient enough that you can Stake up to 20 different Coins on a pi so there is a lot of room for Cryptocurrency to grow yet.

really ? still shilling paycon ? paycoin started as a scam and paycon is just another shitcoin IMHO

OMG record highs!

That's what makes it great, to be able to go out there and do it. 140 commits now Smiley that's like an average of one commit every 1.5 days, no easy stuff either.

Check it out https://github.com/Crestington/PayCon

Well seems as good as time as any for ANOTHER upgrade for PayCon™ with MORE features that you will actually use including a whole revamp of the PayCon™ OP. Not only is PayCon™ worth more than it has ever been but Proof of Stake mining ALSO provides better rewards than Prime nodes without having to spend megabucks to own a Cashtaker.

PayCon has released Version 1.0.6 (June 12th, 2015)

Check out the new and improved PayCon™ and all relevant information at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=937480.0

Updated Wink

Question: Is the "Lock wallet" graphical button the same as " Unlock wallet for PoS" (only)

WoW CON@ 1397 sat if someone wants to purchase  market buy.

CON on it´s way to 1 dollaros . that would be awesome - and i could buy a nice condo or two in thailand with all my CON.

Do some testing and let me know so we can help iron out any little bugs or issues.

OP is updated AND we have a NEW PayCon video for the occasion!

Also updated the OP with the latest bootstrap, quick connect method and links/pictures of the newest Block explorer.

C-Cex also links to the new Block Explorer as well.

Looks pretty pro if you ask me Smiley

Thanks for new wallet, I want to post it on my site along with the changelog. Do you have a changelog, or was it just general fixes?

Vegas

Just general fixes and removal of the checkpoint key, CON is completely free now. I think it should also help with the number of orphans by removing it so we should see over the coming days and weeks.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CON] PayCon™ POS 30 Coins per Block - Get your CON on! on: June 13, 2015, 05:41:46 AM

Thank you, that sounds fantastic

I really appreciate this very much  Kiss

What to do with all this CON? Sounds like we need a few competitions.

I'm working on the OP today, going to clean it up and make it look super nice after all these great new additions Smiley
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CON] PayCon™ POS 30 Coins per Block - Get your CON on! on: June 12, 2015, 10:11:33 PM
lol don't include me as a dev!! My contribution to CON is mostly just arguing with Crestington on irc about the best block sizes Tongue

ah, don't sell yourself short, your explorer is awesome!

To be honest, I just adapted a lot of the code from HyperStake and asked presstab super nicely if he could help me with a few things and paid him whatever he asked for.

He was right about Block sizes in that smaller Blocks are better and helped me refine Staking strategies. CON works as intended, makes it well designed to hold value.

CON market is going crazy right now, so many spikes! so much volume!

973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CON] PayCon™ POS 30 Coins per Block - Get your CON on! on: June 12, 2015, 08:22:32 PM
I'll build it right away. I was wondering, how do i select the themes? Never seen any trace of them in my wallet.

Edit: Had to readd this to transactiontablemodel.cpp cause it didn't work.
Code:
552       /* return rec->status.depth; */
553          return (qlonglong)rec->status.depth;

Added this to walletmodel.h :
Code:
#include "uint256_t.h"

There was a bad commit in the pull request and it got reverted so I'll just add that in and do some building.

Heh haven't been following this drama for a while. I see that the daily volume on Bittrex is 3 btc, so I guess it is time to declare XPY dead and the bagholders need to accept that they can't get out anymore.

Regarding skepticism about profiting from XPY, I did profit few btc from this too as I was talked into buying hashlets which I did. Mined "hashpoints" until I figured it was a ponzi. Sold all my hashlets (probably with small profit) and dumped all my 200xpy I got from the hashpoints on day 1 XPY was tradeable on coinswap.

The funny thing is that I got involved because of MrCoins who seems to be so busy these days in private life that he can't afford the time to cheer XPY

And NO, I won't dig up blockchain proof. Just disregard this post if you don't believe me

I don't think you need proof if you can even admit you got into it in the first place. I'm sure their would have been some people that would have profited from it, or sold as soon as there are red flags.

If in doubt, sell! Never hold!

Ok sent .17 btc to your btc address. You should have it by the time you read this message. Is there a 64 bit version or only 32 bit?

Vegas

Fantastic, I've bumped the version in the sourcecode and now just waiting to hear word back to have them built.

If anyone is interested in an explorer that blows every other one out of the water you should check out the NEW Block Explorer at http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/paycon/

Problems with Hyper-inflation? PayCon doesn't have that problem, it's inflation growth is constant.

But we have a caveat. When the inflation rate is constant, what is your annualized Stake rate? PayCon is still yielding around 500% Stake Smiley

Difficulty is increasing.

Marketcap is at an all time high.

Added some new features like being able to view and sort your transactions by Miniting within a range. How will you know how many juicy little Conlets you are minting per day without it?

Sorting in Coin Control by time estimated to Stake.

Added number of transactions along with time estimate range and Multisend notification on minting weights (can't screen notifications).

Cleanup of the Statistics page.

Also new RPC calls such as "getstaketx" "getweight" and "deleteaddress" (when you absolutely need to shed the evidence).

Improved connection to other nodes and node finding, general bug fixing.

And of course, it still doesn't need a Premine™ to out perform Smiley

What is with his/their obsession with letting people "run" or "manage" things?

How the fuck do you manage a prime controller? How does someone "run" coinstand? How are people still buying this shit? He throws a bunch of techy/startup/business sounding words on the wall and the idiots there are too embarrassed to ask what the fuck they mean (because they make no sense) so they just cheer along and give him more of their money.

Whay, handlin them thar Paycoin shitters is a mahty tuff task there pardner! Whay juss lass week one of those things got out of its corral and started shitting out Paycoins all over the dad blamed pace. Lucky those nice fellers "managing" those Prime Controllers" took care of it before it did some real damage in Paycoinerville:

Damn those PayCoin shitters, pooping out loads of useless coins.

Buy orders are somewhat the same, but sell orders have climbed very high, people do not want to sell and are preparing to stake big apparently Tongue As do I...

I have to admit, I plan on grabbing a lot of PayCon stakes in the near future... hopefully!! Lets stabilize this wild PoS diff!

The difficulty isn't that wild if you look at some POW difficulty charts, You are just used to POS difficulty and that HYP has such a nice spread Tongue

I fixed up a few little bugs and pushed them to source.

I keep checking the thread for a new wallet or a beta wallet.

Vegas

I'll be working on getting them built now that I've done enough testing, I don't really like getting binaries built and then having to rebuild them.

If you would like to donate to help getting the Mac and Windows wallets compiled, I generally use a service for this and costs about $40 to get both done.

Donations here would be much appreciated.

PayCon: PV5JRYrQDuAnsKE7LN7PjCdHHAbj8gfSEx
My BTC address: 1jcXEw4v8DnMd9Ez6saYKxEpm1jXTTtEH

I'll be working on refining my own Windows build kit today so I can also eliminate the costs of getting it built each time, I have an older kit but the .exe only version that I get built is more preferable.

Sorry for taking so long to reply... I have too little free time on the weekdays..

Yes, I resized the image (to 3k Smiley ), and the RAM usage dropped considerably, almost to the level of the old wallet. Probably it makes sense for you to provide a smaller image with the next release.

Regarding the address for coins.. Smiley Sure I have one.., but I just have fun with this coin, no need to pay me for that Smiley Many thanks for the offer anyway! Smiley

Yeah for me I just like doing work on this Coin and adding new stuff, see what comes of it. I would like to sell about $40 worth of Coins though so I can get the new Windows and Mac binaries built.
