642  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: August 02, 2015, 08:04:31 AM
Hey hey mate no need to remind me over and over. Indeed all the signs were there, but at the same time, who we believed to be Josh did try a lot to keep the thing going, and say a lot of thing he/she/it/they did didn't make sense coming from a scammer.

And now it may just all make sense, when you learn that several people were posting under Josh's account.
When i leave out that impression that i got from that and just leave the fact, the half empty, half assed everything. (Rebranded ASIC to GAW name for example)
Crap.

Now i believe i learned my lesson and i'm pretty happy i did it now, while i'm still quite young enough.

I was not trying to remind people over and over so the points I was mainly stressing was that many people will just jump into something without doing their research because everyone else is doing it but really the best way would be to follow any Stock or trade for atleast month and research the financials and look for a good entry point, if seeing red flags during that time then you have the option not to invest or if already invested then it's better to take a loss and live to trade another day. Disregard what anyone says as truth and look at all points of views, assume everyone is trying to play you. Look at it in how you can learn from it and own the mistakes you've made so you aren't falling into the trap of continually investing in losing trades.
643  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CONFIRMED! Leroy Fodor's stakeminers.com site is a scam! on: August 01, 2015, 05:41:35 PM
FGpr the readers of this nonsense ask Bruno Some simple questions anjd see how he responds.

Bruno do you have proof StakeMiners is a scam?
What proof do you have.

Can you show us 1 single instance where Leroy has scammed someone before? <the fuckin' idiot doesn't understand that by lying about his past is a form or scamming especially since he's using such falsehoods to advance StakeMiners, i.e., being an expert Forex trader when I've shown that all Leroy Fodor ever done in the Forex space were demo/practice accounts>

Can you show us 1 single instance where he has stolen someones money?

Can you prove where at any time in his history he has not done what he promised in a business deal?

These are questions Bruno will not address, he will quote every single thing around them but will not answer these simple questions.

Yes we did and still have a very small amount in our Forex.com account. I cant remember why we left some in there something about the withdraw limits or something but we had to leave a few dollars in there for some reason. So yes I did have a live account, But much like when I got into bitcoin you wont see as much about it online. What you think people post thier account numbers on the forex accounts they hold bruno.

YOu cant prove anything you say bruno, NONE OF IT, thats the whole issue.

Do you have access to that account that you can quote and list these trades on an external site or spreadsheet? and can you please answer the questions about the mining farm? If you were exaggerating some details then can you please list what details were exaggerated and why?

@Cyberpinoy

Can you list the specs of your mining hardware you had and what kind of output you had with it? What kind of cooling was needed with it? What kind of trading and profits you had with it if you have access to that information?

I want to help you resolve all of this so you can move on from all of this so please bear with all the questions and forget about getting emotional about giant text, meme's or even insults from people. If you have to answer questions a hundred times then that is what it takes.

Edit: Please also refrain from complaining about Bruno himself and just focus on questions and answers.

blah

blah

blah blah blah

SO here we are 5 or 6 scam accusation threads later and we ranging in the thousands of views (which is all he cares about attention) and we still have not one single ounce of proof neither me or StakeMiners is actually a scam.

Classic cyberpinoy. Goes on a multiparagraph rant about trolls trying to destroy him and even attacks someone who just made a fairly benign post about empathy. Doesn't answer anything that would in any way build any kind of trust.

Let me ask again:

So what kind of hardware did you run in your "largest mining farm in the Philippines"? How many TH/s? Power consumption? What kind of building? How is cooling in that climate? Any pictures? Still running that farm or did it burn down? Shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to answer if you're legit.

I always find you tend to bring up the best points.

I'm interested in learning a bit more about mining in topical climates, cooling and costs associated with it and better to answer questions point blank supported by proof without attacking and going on multi-paragraph rants. Personally if I come across massively long posts, I probably won't read it and don't have time to sort through all fluff posts to try and find the answer so if you have the answer then just link to the post in which answers the question.

@Cyberpinoy, the point here is that they want you to be transparent about past activities.
646  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CONFIRMED! Leroy Fodor's stakeminers.com site is a scam! on: August 01, 2015, 08:34:50 AM
So which points are you directly enquiring about? I am finding much of this stuff to be quite cluttered and confusing to read. You are saying that Cyberpinoy, Wolvman and another guy are the same person? or that Wolvman was an investor and did some paid posting? What specifically makes Stakeminers a scam? Can you list it in bullet-point form?

If it would be alright with Cyberpinoy I could share my private messages. In a way I have a bit of a vetted interest because Stakeminers also Stakes and buys PayCon and I own Coins/ do work on it, but also have about $20 worth of Coins within Stakeminers itself. I've seen atleast one address within the PayCon network in which is part of Stakeminers and he has asked me advice about the best ways to Stake and gave him personal advice on communication and professionalism (the same things I mentioned here and also in the Gethashing thread). I personally don't think someone would be this involved an communicative on a daily basis if they were trying to scam but who knows, maybe I'm wrong?
647  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: August 01, 2015, 06:44:17 AM
It is pretty funny to go back and look over some of the GAW propaganda from the early days. I am sad though so far about the way things turned out, especially with Garza. I know there is still time for him to get what he deserves, but its sad that he was able to get away for this long with so much of our money. I don't buy into the claims that he blew all his money and is living poorish now. I wish we could do some form of research to pinpoint a close range of how much he really was able to get away with.

I think it's more depressing than anything...

It then remind me of what else i would have done with the money and that just suck because it's not like you can know then what you know now.

But i learned my lesson young and now i know how to do secure and as safe as possible of an investment.

It would be cool if i can get something out of my Prime and XPY but i'm not holding my breath or mourning over it before bed.

The key to this thread is to figure out how some people DID know then what you know now. We were able to figure out that GAW was full of shit at the beginning, look back now to figure out how we saw that so you can be the one keeping your money when the next scam comes around.

All the warning signs were there right from the beginning but many opted not to listen to reason. The biggest piece of advice I can give to anyone is not to jump legs first into anything and follow a project for some time in order to find proper entry points. Give anything about a month or so, and if seeing big red flags then don't invest, or if holding then take the loss because it's better to take a 50% loss than a complete loss.

Code:
static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 2000000000 * COIN;
static const int STAKE_START_TIME = 1418470264; // Sat 13 Dec 2014 06:31:04 AM EST
static const unsigned int POW_START_TIME = 1418403600; // Fri 12 Dec 2014 12:00:00 PM EST
static const unsigned int POW_END_TIME = 1419181200; // Sun 21 Dec 2014 12:00:00 PM EST

2,000,000,000 total coins with 12,000,000 premine, current total coins 12,375,656. Means 375,656 POW but we have to minus the large POS blocks and early POW blocks (ill get to that).

Now I dont know the specs but I seen 500,000 XPY was the apparent POW supply which was incorrect and deliberately coded incorrectly to allow less POW blocks then indicated. If you were to allow a certain number of blocks you would allocate the POW change to block height, no time. By using Ntime you will usually a) confuse users as you are only estimating and b) always get it wrong. Block times are averages and using time instead of height is a deliberate method to reduce total coins. Now if we look at the stake start times, once again should be based off height not time, POS kicked in the day after launch. This then ensures less POW blocks are generated and more POS blocks, once again reducing total coins allocated to POW as more POW blocks are mined before the POW cut off time. Now even if total coins for the POW stage are not pre-announced, this method is what most devs use to allocate a greater % of total coins vs what they advertise.

Now 375,656 POW coins is fine I guess until we look at the POS blocks generated. So between block 9180 and 9229, 13,000 XPY were generated through POS. Between block 14200 and 14000, another 18,000 XPY were generated. When POW was disabled, we had a total count of 12,343,000 or 343,000 coin POW phase. Since that POW phase has ended a total of 33,800 XPY have been staked with all 32,700 XPY going to POS on premined coins and addresses, with only 900 XPY to the 341,000 POW owners. This is based on the code below and looking through the block explorer.

Stake Min and Max Age
Code:
static const int STAKE_MIN_AGE = 60 * 60; // minimum age for coin age
static const int STAKE_MAX_AGE = 60 * 60 * 24 * 5; // stake age of full weight
Primenode Requirements.
Code:
static const int64 NUMBER_OF_PRIMENODE = 50;
static const int64 MINIMUM_FOR_ORION = 50 * COIN;
static const int64 MINIMUM_FOR_PRIMENODE = 125000 * COIN;
Primenode Rewards.
Code:
if (primeNodeRate == 0)
        nRewardCoinYear = 5 * CENT;
    else if (primeNodeRate == 10)
        nRewardCoinYear = 10 * CENT;
    else if (primeNodeRate == 20)
        nRewardCoinYear = 20 * CENT;
    else if (primeNodeRate == 100)
        nRewardCoinYear = 100 * CENT;
    else if (primeNodeRate == 350)
        nRewardCoinYear = 350 * CENT;

Now using the previous figures, lets take a look at the yearly projection using the base that POS stage is 10 days old.

Primenode yearly POS XPY count 32,700 XPY * 36.5= 1,193,500 XPY (Total (BTC)51797.88806500)

POW nodes yearly POS XPY count 900 * 36.5= 32,850 XPY. (Total (BTC)1425.68967150)

As long as these match up to the projections and pre announcements, who cares I guess. These numbers are not 100% accurate, check the block explorer for an exact amounts.

Wow!

Talk about Ponzi!

With 5 days maximum age that means it limits all the smaller Blocks. The Coins from the premine will always push out the small players as those Coins that DO stake, compound with interest.

To limit the smaller Blocks can be good for the Coin, but you need a balance where the average person CAN stake their Coins.

This means that GAW has a nearly unlimited supply of Coins they can dump on the market.

This site seems to be managed by a try-hard. They are posting lies and then going step by step, supporting them with another lies.
Want a proof?

First sentence from the linked article "PayCoin (XPY) an altcoin backed by GAW miners, which is believed to be a scam," leads to another one: "Currently they are being investigated by the SEC for their questionable business model and their operations." Which is a lie. Somebody (probably the author of this "article") even made a fake screenshot of the site with scheduled GAW investigation, but there's no trace on the real site. http://www.sec.gov/litigation/admin.shtml
The question you should ask is why would anyone try to make people think they are being investigated.

People hold grudges, people don't like seeing things succeed that they themselves do not agree with, people believe they are right and everyone else is wrong.

People do what people do...

Give it a year or so and I'm sure you will think differently. It looks like you jumped on the IPO and are defending it because you are worried now that the price has dropped about 50% Typically IPO's with a very large buy-in tend to drop in price within the first month. You need critical analysis in order to make an informed decision otherwise you are trying to base your decision on hype and what the largest holders will tell you, which will always be through rose tinted glasses.

You know the copied logo isn't going to fly since it could be easily classed as misrepresentation because the GoPago is a Point OF Sale hardware and software business but could easily be mistaken that POS means Proof of Stake, that gopago is an affiliate of paybase and the technology is made for PayCoin.

You know the copied logo isn't going to fly since it could be easily classed as misrepresentation because the GoPago is a Point OF Sale hardware and software business but could easily be mistaken that POS means Proof of Stake, that gopago is an affiliate of paybase and the technology is made for PayCoin.

The fact that they aren't concerned about future litigation from Amazon TOS conflicts , gopago trademark infringement, and the fact that they may face legal action over stealing another coins name -paycoin worries me that they may not be concerned about the long term viability of their business model.

I have not bothered reading up on paycoin, but someone claimed it's ICO raised more than Ethereum. Is this true and can the dev dump the ICO bitcoins? Is there an address where we can see the ICO bitcoins?

Since it is almost completely premined, and josh only created a floor for around 30 minutes, it has been extremely profitable for him. There isn't much transparency so there is no way of knowing how much gaw has made off this scheme as they have been trading on their own exchange and with anomynous bots on other exchanges without having a single ICO investment wallet. Most of the coins are still in control of GAW(They will suggest that they own it with secret investors but so far no evidence supports this) so the market could be drop out much further if these coins start hitting the market.

For me the clincher was the sourcecode and seeing just how much of an advantage the largest players (prime wallets) would have on the market. If there was no $20 floor and they have all those coins and are selling those Coins into the market for all these things they have planned then it would compound and drop the market so realistically it could never hold a $20 value.

People you want to see how crypto should work?

Getting along and working together?

Lets all learn from one another.We are human with a pretty limited life span if you dont agree pick that brain and love the spirit and bless it and move on carrying that spirits essence with you its easily done.

That's how I see it, communication and working together is the single biggest thing I can stress to anyone. I remember Spoetnik saying one time that we should be trying to float all boats so if people are arguing with each other and trying to discredit each other then it slows down progress because everyone is spending time engaging in petty arguments. I think communication and conflict resolution is one of my biggest assets and if good at that then you don't need to have a moderated thread. I'm really not super great at coding and often need help but can often get a lot of work done because I can work effectively with people. You see the people here? everyone around here are the most imaginative and upstanding people in Crypto, no joke Tongue
649  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CONFIRMED! Leroy Fodor's stakeminers.com site is a scam! on: July 31, 2015, 08:18:16 PM

Just quoting this as an example of your idiocy.

Real truth in a hangout at 5AM, must be legit.

You know, even with someone respectable like Crensignton trying to help you still look like a complete buffoon. That's quite a skill you got here.

Uh HUH thank you for your input, I am still trying to see what the time of day has to do with seeing if an accusation you made is true or false. how does 5 AM have any impact on 2 usernames being the same person or in fact being 2 different people. You think I didnt see he was online the whole time I was writing him, and mysteriously when confronted with the truth he just stops replying, then OOPS here comes his best sock puppet account again to add his 2 satoshi, and then Woops here you are complaining about it being 5 am and how much of a bafoon I am yet... your still up, you still posted Hmmmm very interesting.

I think you're missing the point buddy.

5 AM was just a stab at your general lack of awareness on just how dumb you look with your childish tantrums.

How exactly inviting one person to a video chat is going to prove anything about anything? If you want to pretend to be a respectable business person - act like one. I've told you that maybe a dozen times already here and on GH. It doesn't matter what Bruno or anybody says (well, actually it does but let's pretend this thread doesn't exist for a moment), it is YOU who at every turn and with every stupid post paints himself as a complete tool.

You are completely right, spelling is quite a big thing and should take note and spellcheck posts written because you need that in order to run a professional business and behave as a professional. I may not like what someone is writing about me but goading and attacking people over speculative opinions looks even worse so I would not engage arguments in that way because that will not solve the problem.

I was more pointing out that the timeline of events of the shop doesn't really mean too much as it's fairly unrelated, do I care about a business he used to run? not really. I do care about transparency though and should atleast be as transparent as possible especially when you are handling other peoples funds, if it's your own funds you are handling then transparency doesn't matter as much.

The real issue I see here is communication rather than the business itself because I long believed that you can create a basket of high performing POS Coins as a mining derivative and that would be more profitable than POW mining because you can take advantage of the highs and lows but you are always going to have people challenging you so in order to do that effectively you need to meet those challenges with respect to the individuals even if they are not giving you respect in return.

The proper way to atleast somewhat prove would not be to open up a channel and say "you have 20 minutes, we are all here" but to organize a time that can fit the needs of Bruno or others in order to verify those claims.

One issue to note, although more ascetics than anything else...  S4C currently causes coins to be returned to a new change address and not the original address it came from.

I'll take note of that, over the next little while I want to try to focus on a bit of external stuff like setting up websites and marketing since the core is so solid now. Of course I would very much appreciate to have people contribute and create pull requests for things they would like added and can list issues on Github.

crest try replacing s4c with multisends backend, that should fix the problem.

Or could just remove Stake for Charity and replace it with multisend GUI or maybe that's what you mean.

Looks like he had a café, then there was a fire and he rebuilt it and later on sold it. Some of your stuff isn't fully in chronological order and if you had a café and it burnt to the ground you may also reference it in past tense because it's thought to be gone.

How does this relate to scamming people over some café business? Obviously he talked about it quite a bit so he did own the business at some point. Why don't you just ask for a chronological order of events?
653  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Leroy Fodor and his stakeminers.com site... And aliens! on: July 30, 2015, 04:34:55 AM
What information are you referring to that Stakeminers is a scam? Can you state exact information along with references in which he directly stole money from someone with proof?

I've seen the Stakeminers addresses on the PayCon network as well as buying Coins and adding to those addresses and I've talked to him on the google hangout just a couple days ago and seems to know his stuff about altcoin security. I have atleast one address that was used somewhere and as long as he'd be alright with it I would share it.

If you are referring to the exact time someone heard or got into Bitcoin and dates, that is fairly hard to prove. I think I first heard about Bitcoin and got into it around 2011 but didn't know anything about it and then only got into it again around late 2013. I've seen lots of people get their dates wrong, if there was a fire at his business then all the records he could have had are probably gone.

Somehow paycoin is now "a real coin" vis a vis a coin created out of thin air. Regardless, a scam on top of the scam makes a beautiful clusterfuck

Haven't been following this lately - is LNC an actual coin? As in install-your-own-wallet or trade-on-an-exchange coin? Or is it just a PNG?

Last time I checked cmilian was extremely vague about how he was going to establish the "floor" for his coin.

Last time I heard, it was going to be released on exchanges.

In anycase paycoin is a coin developed by a thief, highjacked by another group of thiefs.

Lol, it takes like an hour to clone sourcecode and do that stuff and just goes to show that Cmillion has no idea about anything coding wise. Can we put bets that the "dev team" would slip in a extra premine or something else? He would never know anyways and would take the fall.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CON] PayCon™ HI POS - Upgrade - TOR - Themes - Features - 7/15, 2015 on: July 29, 2015, 08:17:24 PM
It will be well over 2000 sat within a week.

Vegas

That I do not doubt my friend if not more.

Oh dear. Well, as long as you know what follows every pump and are at least at the age of consent... go at it.

As long as they don't do what I did and try to buy at 900 and miss a decimal point and break the chart Cry

Everyone loves the pumps and when it's well distributed and higher POS you get some that make off of the trade, Stakers that Stake more in the transference of people bringing Coins to market (difficulty and network Stake weight drops but inflation is the same), and those that get caught in too high end up Staking and making more coins for later on. Exchanges don't really care about price, they care about volume because they make money off trade fees so good volume makes it very attractive to host, high liquidity and trade is beneficial for exchanges.

This is why it's better not to have single wallet addresses that make more while others make less because everyone has the same chance, lots of people have said they had solo mined early on, or Staked and gained a fair bit of Coins so most everyone has done well.

What I want is as much collaboration to the codebase and services as possible because that is the defining point that creates the most growth. Ideally I would like to see it where people buy Coins and then push marketing, add to the code, help get on new exchanges, setup services that accept CON and drive price so they can sell some for profit and keep the rest to continue to Stake.

If you guys are wondering how much I currently own, it's about 260k but want to grab some more this week where I can at some decent prices.

660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The legends of bitcointalk should make our own altcoin together, thoughts? on: July 28, 2015, 10:13:51 AM
Ha well I'm glad I was able to stir the pot a bit but I doubt you would ever get all your legends into one Coin. Think of movies with an all-star cast, can't find any good ones because there are too many big personalities in one place and it's about the chemistry of the group, the ones that would collaborate with each other will naturally end up doing so. The bottom line is that is you want to have your Coin of Legends then you should create it the way you want and try to collaborate with the people you consider to be legendary.

Also, there is no point is creating a new coin because if you want a Bitcoin/Peercoin based Coin then you can pretty much just takeover any dead or dying Coin and bagholders will love you for it. You really can change just about anything about a Coin, you just need a plan and that it will benefit holders and bring some good tech. Let's say for example you really wanted a VeganCoin (lol), a name change is only a search and replace away, throw is some plant based theme's, some useful features, get some Botany markets going and wala you've got yourself a little Vegan ecosystem.
