1601  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN APPEAL] UID: 1047338 / 2221175 on: July 14, 2023, 05:06:38 PM
Because you can't ban HedgeFX if there are still numerous other cases, where the evidence is completely clear, that these Accounts committed Plagiarism. If you ban HedgeFX now but don't ban the open cases of first offener Accounts, that's completely inconsistent.
The forum has always been inconsistent in that regard, this wouldn't be a first. It took us (the Croatian board) 2 years to successfully appeal a ban for one of our quality members.

It is certain that there are plenty of those who have been banned, but have continued with another account and try not to show any connection with their previous appearance here on the forum. Bypassing the rules and I'm not sure that it is possible to prevent such a thing.

I am guessing knowing the right admin or having contact with them over whatever social media they use can speed things up.

The only thing I know is that Cyrus is somewhat present on the unofficial forum Discord channel. Maybe he should try it there. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247383.0
1602  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Having Difficulties Withdrawing Funds From Crypto Website. on: July 14, 2023, 12:40:16 PM
I put money into a crypto website and now I'm trying to withdraw some funds.

This is not any crypto website, but ordinary fraudsters. There are no common elements with crypto here, except that it was mentioned a couple of times to give additional seriousness to the story and the "potential" of great earnings.

OP, you shouldn't so lightly invest money in something you don't understand, and it's obvious that you don't know much about "crypto websites". I know a man who knows a man who earned $xx million, not a good enough reference for investing. Or at least it shouldn't be.
1603  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: July 14, 2023, 12:23:29 PM
I can copy any website design, even I don't even know how to make a nice looking banner or logo.

Yes and no.

Yes, anyone can copy the design of a website, using the source code of the page they want to copy.
No, if the site template is developed in a more elaborate way, it will make this task more complicated and it will be difficult to make the site look exactly the same. There will be more elements out of place than on a simple website.
That is all correct but I don't think it matters in the end.

Problem is that people that end up on phishing sites aren't those that are using Sinbad often and therefore they don't know exactly how the site works and looks. Even bad copy is good enough and I can make a bad copy of any site and I made maybe 3 web pages in my life. Somebody with more experience can do it in half a day probably.

You don't even have to have special knowledge about creating a website to make a clone of any page. There are various web scrapers for that, quite enough to clone 95% of the site. Functionality and backend are certainly not important (when we are talking about phishing sites), it is enough to have the part for the end user to get an address for the deposit, and nothing else matters after that.
1604  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: TimechainStats.com - FREE BTC Resources - NO ADS on: July 14, 2023, 10:20:19 AM
Wow, this is really great. Definitely, a page that should be bookmarked.
You say there are no advertisements or anything commercial, and that's ok, but how do you plan to maintain this service, I live without any kind of monetization. I hope you don't expect donations to be enough. Some ads are perfectly fine if they will help maintain the service.

I'm curious. On the Bitcoin price ticker, I see that the value is updated every few seconds. It looks great. Which API do you use for that if it's not a secret?

Is https://btclexicon.com/ also your site?
1605  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk IV (2023 Q3) [MODERATED] 🔬 on: July 13, 2023, 12:01:24 PM
Well, I was just going to ask when the user was banned and what was the reasoning behind that?

I have checked and unfortunately did not find the reason for banning this user. I am unfortunately limited by my status to find such information. And since it was a long time ago, it is useless to ask global moderators, it is unlikely that any of them will remember this particular case.

As for the ban evasion, I completely agree with you.

Thanks for looking - I had a thought that bpip describes the ban as "auto ban" which my understanding is that it would be based on such things as an I.P. or email used etc.  I guess we will never know.

In some previous cases (at least as I concluded) only the moderator who issued the ban can give the correct answer. Also, I think that most of the moderators have a log somewhere with ban reasons just because of such cases and later explanations. I am of the opinion that there are real chances to get an answer regarding the reason for this ban.

Quote
In any event the user has now admitted both UID's are their creation, so we will have to wait and see whether or not they intend to start a ban appeal thread.

I don't think it's a matter of whether he wants to or not, it's an obligation. With regard to one banned account, the HedgeFx user has the right to write only in the Meta section about the ban appeal. Although it seems that he did not take it seriously because he did not take any action about it.
1606  Economy / Services / Re: I Need Someone Who Can Send And Receive Payments with Paypal on: July 13, 2023, 11:33:56 AM
Let's say everything is as you say: you want long-term cooperation and are willing to pay 10% of the total traffic through PayPal.
How do you imagine that $100 on PP equals that same amount in BTC?
Someone who will do this exchange for you has to somehow buy BTC with your money, and as far as I know, there is also a percentage that will take the exchanger from him. There is no PP to BTC in 1:1 here. Maybe in some short-term and individual exchanges, but difficult if it will be on a daily basis. In the end, your partner will also work (risk) without or with very low profit.

For example, we have a user who has been offering this service for 6 years, maybe you should try it there https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1992018.560

1607  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: July 13, 2023, 10:25:38 AM
In my opinion, the situation is a little controversial and I think that it is quite rare. But in the future, this may happen again, and therefore, it would be good to understand this precedent, which will allow us not to return to the search for a solution again. So to speak, to approve specific rules on this issue.

There is no precedent here, this rule always applies in all campaigns. If there are predetermined places on the forum where posts are not counted, it doesn't matter if the post was moved or the poster wrote in the "irrelevant" section. It's the same with deleted posts, and there can be various reasons for that. The owner of the campaign set such rules and it means nothing to him if the post was in the white zone for campaign counting for one day.

As Charles-Tim said, don't stay at exactly 25 posts and you won't have this problem.
1608  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scams Bitcoin Mixers List and Services closed on: July 12, 2023, 11:40:08 PM
Somehow it seems to me that both Whirlwind and Sinbad have a problem with DDoS attacks at the same time, smells as if everything comes from one kitchen.

How much money a scammer can make?

Here is a scammer in action: BTC address 1HtV8k2Pj4y5bRR1NbjF2uEq8DZjJF2pJk
Received about 45 BTC since ~2020-2021. More than 1 fucking million dollars

Blockchair says: the Total received 45.22614811BTC - 1,875,270.81USD
Close to 2 million. Really huge money in just two years. I looked at the last few transactions, so almost every week they have a minimum of one incoming transaction.

Considering the very large number of sites, they often start from the beginning, I'm really curious, about how they promote the sites. This must always be very efficient in the short term before fraud is recognized and the domain is eventually blocked.
1609  Other / Archival / Re: 🐱 [banned mixer] - The Cutest Bitcoin Mixer! on: July 12, 2023, 10:55:10 PM
I would like if [banned mixer] is more familiar with another mixer by having a feature edit fee or costume. I know Mixy Money uses a charge fee of 3 to 5 percent of the amount + 0.0007 BTC.  but for me, it's enough expensive when I want to try your mixer.

Competition will most likely play an important role here, and it is clear to everyone that competition in the mixing industry is more than serious. Especially after the closure of CM. If they are still attractive in spite of everything, they probably see no reason to reduce earnings and lower fees.

Quote
Maybe better to OP to make it happen my suggestion, and about language, I repeat it again to make it English by default, because 1st I open and try mixing, I bit kinda confused about where I have to put the address sent.

Once you change the language of the site, in subsequent sessions the cookies will do their work and your preferred choice of language will be opened every time. But certainly turning to a more globally acceptable language as the default is a better choice, plus many are not familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet.
1610  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Question from a newbie - raising $100 in BTC for charity on: July 12, 2023, 10:34:41 PM
But then, people are always skeptical when newbies appear in the forum and keep stressing on charity. Most cases have proven otherwise.

Obviously, the sceptics were right, at least as far as this case is concerned. The OP gave up after a few days and has not been active here for more than two weeks, so I will continue in a sceptical tone, he tried to find a way to quick money all under the pretext of charity and donation.

Anyone who wants to donate or volunteer for someone's benefit must do it much more precisely and transparently, not just declaratively in order to gain sympathy from the crowd.
1611  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: July 12, 2023, 10:22:57 PM
I don't think anyone expected that. Of course there were some red flags, but in my eyes they didn't point to an exit.
If you just consider how much Betnomi has spent on advertising, campaigns, contests and free raffles here on Bitcointalk in that short time.. seems not right to me.  Huh
Iirc icopress talked about a total of over 1 BTC.

Honestly, I'm quite surprised by the current situation regarding Betnomi. Just two weeks ago, I received a PM from them, regarding their raffle where, among other things, I received an invitation to participate in their next contests and promotions.

It's strange that I received a forum notification in the PM from Betnomi "This PM looks like possible phishing: examine links closely!" although there weren't any links inside. It would be really good to have direct information, even if it is negative.
1612  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: July 12, 2023, 10:02:27 PM
With what the SEC does sometimes I think the goal of the SEC is to destroy crypto,
I know it's just my wild thoughts but the investigations carried out by the SEC have had a lot of negative effects on crypto as you said,

I don't think there is any plan to destroy crypto, these are more attempts to introduce control, in the sense that governments have insight and control over the circulation of value. It is not in the interest of any government that citizens have some money that they have no insight into and cannot be taxed.

On the other side is Binance, which is certainly not the lamb in the whole story, we know from earlier about their various manipulative actions and it is really necessary that their influence be brought under control.
But whether we want to admit it or not, Binance is one of the most important crypto services and its possible disappearance will cause serious shocks, probably the biggest so far.

Therefore, Binance (and any similar service) definitely needs to be under greater control, but it is also needed in the future.
1613  Economy / Reputation / Re: I'm tired and angry about Timelord's behavior and his alt/puppy on: July 12, 2023, 02:21:32 PM
Thank you.. another point how does he knows the members email addresses? I thought that thing is private on this forum. As per my search hedgefx didn't share the same email here on the forum but on another bitcoin forum. Just concerned about accounts 🔐 thanks.

I don't know why you ask such questions when you yourself left your email address everywhere. In addition to the fact that Timelord wrote all the references where he found the disputed address, It's easy to find you on the bitcoin.com forum with that email address in your signature and you confirm the connection with P2Pfinder Bitcointalk account. Link

DaveF has a right here, I suggest you go to the meta and talk to the forum administrators about this case. If the rules were to be followed, your participation here should be over.

The question of open loans should be asked here, shasan and hopenotlate should be informed about the potential ban.
1614  Economy / Reputation / Re: I'm tired and angry about Timelord's behavior and his alt/puppy on: July 12, 2023, 12:08:54 PM
As far as I understand, this time you are accused of being the alt account of the banned P2Pfinder member. Same contact email hedgefx @tuta.io address is written on both accounts. This seems like a serious link that the same person is between both accounts.
I would say that this time is much worse for you than the previous conflict with Timelord.

This might not be a problem if one of the accounts was not banned. Ban evasion is not allowed due to forum rules.

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
1615  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: (RESOLVED) Duelbits.com SCAM 2k USD,3months, Complete KYC on: July 12, 2023, 10:50:05 AM
yes it went through.

OP, if your case is resolved, it would be good if you changed the subjects in all the topics you started because of this case. Also, remove "SCAM" from the text, because there are no elements of fraud here.
Of course, you can lock this thread, because there is nothing more to discuss here.
1616  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Mjesečna Analiza za Hrvatsku Lokalnu Zajednicu (Bitcointalk Croatian) on: July 12, 2023, 10:41:11 AM

1617  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why don't we ban users like FmaTR on this forum? on: July 12, 2023, 10:24:57 AM
Actually this means new user for our forum. I think it is useful for both me and the forum.

This forum has no benefit from a fake account that will only register and leave you positive feedback. It's just useless dust. Of course, no one will believe in false praise, you are free to stop such practice.

Quote
I repeat, I can serve 1-2 of our friends under this topic without any commission or extra charge.

Due to fake feedback, no one is interested in what you offer. As you can see, you only got a counter-effect with this method.

I don't leave a feedback because it won't be visible, it will only be in untrusted feedback.

A totally wrong attitude. It is necessary to leave your feedback, regardless of the fact that it will not be visible at the beginning. In this way, the other members will be able to see your judgment and if it is good, it will eventually imply that others add you to their trust list.
Trusting you means that at some point your feedback will be visible.

Is that enough? My reward please Smiley

No, it's not enough. At least they are not screenshots from another platform here on the forum. A slightly more skilled designer can easily fake such things.
It would be good if you try to understand.

btw. You are from Turkey, I see that you had customers from Turkey, why do you negotiate in English? Why not in your native language?

I have a list of some websites I want to get access to (no illegal thing included)

Can you explain how there is nothing illegal about wanting to have unauthorized access to other people's sites? I'm really interested in how the legality of hacking websites is justified.

Quote
I will pay you good money on every website you get me access to

If I may ask, how much are you willing to pay per site? What do you think is good money for something like that?
1620  Economy / Services / Re: Sinbad.io Mix Your BTC Quickly AVATAR contest | Win up to $200 on: July 11, 2023, 10:11:58 PM
Thank you.. so guys I'd be having small issue photoshopping before the deadline so I have drawn my idea.. if anyone wants to animate it and use it in his 3 concepts for a profit share if it got chosen as the winner I welcome that.

The idea is about Sinbad having an octopus body squeezing bitcoins with his hands to have it divided into mbtc or whatever coming out of his sucker holes after being mixed
...

Please tell me you're kidding us with this suggestion of yours. You want a reward for some scribbles on paper, where someone else will do the most important part of the work for you.
I think the purpose of this contest is not to give away money for every poor attempt, but to rebrand the avatar and look for the best solution.
