1061  Other / Meta / Re: How Was This User Able to Buy 550 Merits At ones? on: October 14, 2023, 05:31:36 PM
Can someone with better understanding of how this works please look into this and help make my dull head understand.

I'm pretty sure that these are alt accounts of the same person. The post you are talking about is just a fake vouch for his own service, seen many times so far.
Given that it is a matter of account trading, I believe that the OP has several accounts, probably a certain amount of smerits in addition to some. It is also possible that he sold to one buyer a "larger" quantity of merits, sent from several different accounts.
1062  Other / Meta / Re: Should there be sub forums under Scam Accusations? on: October 14, 2023, 05:21:13 PM
Just a thought. Would not require massive changes to the board in general, just more of a cleaning up thing. Might make it better, might make it worse.

Maybe this is a good idea, but I think that in reality it only complicates things further. Many individual scam accusations do not even have the basic form that is expected in order to have an easier insight into where the problem is. Even many have not presented relevant evidence, especially newbies who just came to present the problem and ask for help.

Perhaps a more straightforward solution is to write on the subject of the topic for example [Casinos], [Exchange] etc... But even that would be too much, because hardly anyone even emphasizes [Solved], which is much more important because it directly affects someone's reputation.
1063  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to verify a URL of a website on: October 14, 2023, 09:51:12 AM
Maybe there are ways we can successfully avoid phishing emails and links 100%, if there are, I do not know any, but we can verify if the link sent to us is genuine or not.

We all know that THE SITE MUST USE HTTPS.
It is an SSL certificate that simply encrypts your connection more securely from malicious attempts by third parties. Phishing sites are malicious efforts carried out by a second party, its the site owner. In fact, fake and phishing sites can also activate SSL certificates, this method does not protect you from phishing at all.

SSL certificates are offered free of charge with hosting. It is even enough via Cloudflare, it is activated in two clicks. I'm sure that every scammer already knows that much and can activate the HTTPS protocol on the domain without any problems. Well, we can consider this as an absolutely unreliable method of identifying phishing and scam sites.

You have to manually type the url,

Manual URL entry, what can go wrong here?
This is probably the most common way confusion occurs. The user manually misses one or enters a wrong (but very similar) character, and of course a phishing site is waiting for him behind it.
1064  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice Needed - GFAL on Ledger on: October 14, 2023, 09:43:15 AM
Thanks for the replies all.

The balance is now showing on the ledger.

FYI I keep all my bananas in a safe  Grin Grin

I'm not sure about Ledger, but my Trezor doesn't always have accurate value information when it comes to certain tokens. Especially those who are being treated on Defi platforms, and not at any of the reputable CEX. For such, you always have to check the current value and trading volume in order to be sure how much what you have in your wallet is worth.
1065  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FIRST STEP IS DIFFICULT OTHER 9 STEP ARE EASY on: October 14, 2023, 09:36:45 AM
Good Morning every one. I want to know about this forum.

If I may ask, what exactly do you expect from this forum? It would help a lot to get more precise comments and information, although there is already enough information in the previous comments.
btw. Registering on the forum is the first step, reading topics that interest you is the second step, and opening a new topic (which is exactly this) is the third step.

The Bitcointalk forum is not a place in the universe, and you don't need to be a scientist to participate here. Just a discussion platform, which is basically about everything related to Bitcoin. Just look around and join the discussion that interests you or what you want to know more about.
1066  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: October 12, 2023, 07:11:14 PM
UniJoin published a new article a week ago, and I'm surprised no one mentioned it.

I think this happened because people are more used to check UniJoin's Medium blog rather than the blog from their website.

I think that the visitors of this mixer are mainly users who came to the site to use the mixing service, certainly more than those who came for the blog. Plus, the article is located almost at the bottom of the page and is only noticeable to someone who scrolls down there. Users who have already visited the site do not need to go through the entire page every time.
1067  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by LegendaryAccss on: October 12, 2023, 06:54:26 PM
I guess there were no easy way to prove the ownership, even if Google+ come and answer here, it'll be a classic he-said-she-said.

I contacted Google+ via PM pointing to this discussion and since he replied, I assume he knows about this thread.
He always can sign messages on some of his previously used BTC addresses to prove ownership of his account.

Buying account and selling of account is against the forum rules

Where did you see that rule?

18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.
1068  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by LegendaryAccss on: October 12, 2023, 04:35:12 PM
Though... I am quite sure the account being offered is this one.

..

Aside from the perfect match of date of registration down to the minute,
1. We can see the ghost of a "G" under the censored username
2. He made 717 forum-counted posts since he made the screenshot on 16 April, 2023 [36 pages of 20 posts each, minus three posts made before the screenshot], which matched his current post count.
3. His merit count matched the profile [549 up to April, given his 550th merit happened on 09 June]

You are right, most likely this is the account that was offered to the OP. Some time ago I also researched a similar matter and came across the same evidence. There was a similar accusation here, after which I tried to contact the seller under a neutral nickname. He sent me this same screenshot, but he never managed to prove ownership of the account. Without sufficient evidence, I did not want to start the accusation process.
That was in March-April '23 if I remember correctly connected to @Alex2012 on Telegram. It is possible that I have screenshots of part of that discussion somewhere, I changed my computer in the meantime, so I would have to look for it.

What we have to clarify is that there is no evidence that the original owner of this account is selling that account. In fact, I am sure that the @Markdoy6 Telegram user is not the original owner, but a scammer who offers this account to naive people.
What if someone like him offered my account for sale, or yours holydarkness?

Here I want to invite nutildah and Little Mouse to withdraw their feedback because they have no obvious proof. Especially since the OP (@brace the mace) started a revenge hunt on this user asking Stake managers to remove them from their campaign.

1069  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: October 12, 2023, 10:33:58 AM
They simply closed my tickets and didn't help me.  The transaction is still pending. They can do something, but I guess they're not interested... I told them they can keep part of the transaction as bounty but I guess they preffer a scammer gets paid? Crazy...

Again, they shouldn't care who you sent the coins to, nor should they care if you were scammed through that trade. Everything is exclusively your fault and you have no basis to accuse anyone for it. In the end, you are also some kind of fraudster, because you wanted to buy an account and present yourself here as an established member.

And finally, who else uses a mixer during direct trade? What is the purpose and how will you prove to the seller that you sent the coins?

1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 11, 2023, 10:34:18 PM
To be honest, I've had this question for quite a while. I keep seeing people claiming to just hold and hold; it'll take one, two, three, or whatever years for the next bull market. However, I'm often wondering: do you ever feel tired of waiting for Bitcoin to thrive? The past few months, or the whole past year—I'm not sure I've lost track of time—have been quite stale. Bitcoin has been ranging between $25.000 and $28.000 for quite a while. The volatility compared to other periods is lower than we're used to, or at least, to what I was used to in the past.

You are asking yourself the wrong question. You should ask yourself how exactly a new bill run will affect you or if the price of Bitcoin is, for example, $100k. Do you have enough Bitcoin in your wallet, so would such a jump in value change your life?
Bitcoin is not only a wild market, the current stable value is suitable for many businesses.
1072  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on getting merits on: October 11, 2023, 10:05:50 PM
You have 101 merits and you are asking this question, it doesn't look nice. Now if I may ask how did you get those merits, the way you use can be use throughout.

Few tips for you.
Research about airdropped merit on Bitcointalk.
The https://bpip.org/ page can help you a lot.
You can install the BPIP browser extension, so you can easily see how much merit a user has earned, and how much of it was airdropped.
For example how it looks with this extension
Your account:

OP's account:

Any further discussion with the OP is completely pointless, because obviously he already knows everything about the forum, and this is just an attempt to earn some merit.
FatFork presented enough information for everything we need to know about the OP
1073  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: October 11, 2023, 02:24:11 PM
Starting from NOW, the duplicated merit notifications issue should be fixed. If anyone still get a duplicated notification from now on, let me know!

You solved one problem with double notification, but it seems that another one appeared. I received a mention notification twice for the same post within 7 minutes of each other. I checked thread, he didn't make a mistake and submit the same post twice. post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5445913.msg62979450#msg62979450
Here is how it looks

1074  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free - Crypto Casino Script Plinko + Crash Full Installation Document on: October 11, 2023, 12:19:28 PM
Ive also told him some irl things got in the way. He agreed to wait.
My friend who works with me also told him I had some irl issues and he agreed again to wait.
I don't know why he didn't post those screenshots too?

The issue could've been solved on 9th when i'd finally install the script for him but he chose to go against me.

These are just your words, and you haven't really earned a reputation for sticking to them.
You always can post proof here if it shows that there is a different agreement. Instead of doing that and giving all the explanations about this deal, as well as your participation in the ownership of the script, you decide to get into an argument and ask other members for evidence.
I saw he asked you to give them an exact date when you will finish this deal, why didn't you immediately say that you needed 10 days? At the very least, you should give him back the money you took to install the script.

Anyone here in contact with YoMix? They could potentially save me from being scammed.
Please tell them to look into my support tickets regarding following transaction: 6044896d116b6f23ad218ceac7b2333728b148d6e64f149ddbf00f05bcad7742

thanks

What exactly do you expect from Yomix here? Did you use the Yomix service at all and whether Address bc1qyncctxpdmw92teehtwyfmjedtkelee0ptkuee7 belong to them?
Finally, Yomix is a mixing service and does not deal with scam investigations, nor are they responsible for recipient addresses. Just think how it would affect their reputation if they met demands like yours.
1076  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free - Crypto Casino Script Plinko + Crash Full Installation Document on: October 11, 2023, 11:42:20 AM
I was quoting for reference, because this leads to a red flag.

Code:
You can ask for a refund if part of the terms is they are going to install the script or there is support for a specific time, you never resell a script you bought especially here in Bitcointalk you're going to get a tag for reselling without permission.
He never gonna refund me anything as he is only using discord channel (little empire for himself).
over 400+ $ ive paid for it.
he said "real life... real life..." i got it, he may have real life situation! i dont mind that.
But "Ill install tomorrow / next day / cmon bro i have real life / i have family take care ... you have to pay me more..."
do you really think he is gonna refund me ?
should i call discord police ? - nah
i just wanted to show his real face.

1) I told you I was busy with something irl that I didn't plan for so the final agreement was the installation would take place on 9.10.
2) you posted my code for sale on 7.10 which means you KNEW you broke the agreement yet you still kept demanding an installation and then a refund after you realise I caught you.
3) you lied to my face about not trying to resell the code when I asked you
4) you used 2 accounts to talk to me to make me believe you had a friend who referred you to me in hope of getting free stuff in the future.

You can't get a refund since Ive delivered everything you paid for + you broke the agreement we had. That's how it works. If you break the agreement why should I still carry on with it as if nothing happened?

Overall this is a very sad display of what living in Turkey does to a person.

@swaga as far as I can see from the screenshots degika posted, you promised the installation "tomorrow" several times.
For example, on 3rd Oct. you promised "this evening/ tomorrow morning all done" ref: https://i.ibb.co/WB6r9sT/this-3.png Also, on 2 Oct. "tomorrow probably"

So, we can conclude that you did not comply with the agreement from trade.
1077  Economy / Reputation / Re: [v2][Self Moderated] In Merits, Count Down To Your Next Rank... on: October 11, 2023, 11:18:36 AM
So that is basically why its like I don't comment here often, and besides, commenting isn't even that much necessary, since most of the time, we just have to go through applicants post history and find worthy posts and merit, as a way of assisting, the thread don't need that much comments to keep it as clean as possible, and to also not to quickly bury applicant's post when their application have not been attended to.
I hope you get my point.

You may relax, I don't know if you are doing this because of the signature campaign quota. Simply, sometimes it is not necessary to leave a reply.
Some managers would consider this burst posting, although stake.com is the most relaxed campaign in this regard.

1078  Other / Off-topic / Re: Youtube alternative supports BTC donations - FreeTube on: October 10, 2023, 09:10:04 PM
This is great stuff, YT has become extremely AD boring for free use. However, for bigger popularization, mobile users must be covered. I had a similar application on Android, Puretuber, with no ads and the best thing, was the video played even if the application was not in fullscreen but running in the background.

Has anyone compared the obtained search results between YouTube and Freetube? Are they approximately the same?
1079  Economy / Services / Re: [SERVICE] Professional Logo Design Services - Your Brand, Your Identity on: October 10, 2023, 08:20:29 PM
Thank you for the warm welcome! I was wondering why my images weren't working in the preview haha, will check that out.

There are also certain problems with the visibility on the forum of images that have been uploaded to imgur. My advice is to upload to https://talkimg.com/ a service optimized for the Bitcointalk forum.
When you reupload and update the first post with BBCode links, someone (maybe me too) will quote your post and your images will be visible.
1080  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User reselling my website on: October 10, 2023, 05:13:52 PM
There's a claim that Phoenix owns it but it was refuted by @swaga Maybe the internet would be so kind as to lead the real owner here,

He persistently refuses to say what his ownership is of the script he resells, always under the pretext that someone else names the owner of this script.
The fact is that he sold the same to user @degika while charging him 2x$100 for installing it on the server, which he did not deliver in the end.

I saw it on demoscript.online claim about ownership, I would like to hear from @swaga what his position in AX Group AG, he introduced himself here earlier as the owner of that site. I believe that someone more familiar with gambling can check the validity of these licenses.
