1201  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hypedrop.com supposedly withholding 3.9 million $ withdraw on: September 20, 2023, 06:37:46 PM
In our space (crypto gambling), sometimes it can definitely be considered a joke though... what I LOVE the most: Crypto casinos that don`t even have a license, don`t even disclose who they are, no company, no nothing... and they ask users for KYC... that`s absolutely hilarious!  Cheesy

This is not the case only in the gambling industry. I have also seen it with various exchanges (in testing). I am of the opinion that it is only an attempt to avoid obligations and delay access to funds/winnings.
Just because of the insistence on KYC by illegal services, all other regular cases are considered jokes.
1202  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Alt account or loan defaulter [Obari] on: September 20, 2023, 02:15:50 PM
Don't shoot the messenger man and you could ask these question in a better tone.
I just updated here because I had time and thought it's a good idea since cg said it himself after he gets paid he is out of here.
Also, there is no scam accusation thread about sakanwa, I just checked and I didn't find any. The communication was all in his general lending thread.

After everything we have seen in all the cases with the c_cowboy, manipulation, lies, fabrications... That is why we accept all the information coming from his kitchen with a great deal of suspicion.
Don't forget that he started a lending service where he applied for a loan with his own sock puppet accounts.
If you are already a messenger, make sure that it does not sound like you are vouching for him with all his alternative accounts and the drama he was making.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 20, 2023, 01:56:20 PM
Hey gamblers' community, hope you're all doing great.
I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

Rhetorical question, why do you do something you don't want your children to do? You are aware that you are doing something wrong, but still, you continue with it. Even in front of the children...
In the end, they won't have to steal the money, you will give it to them willingly because you understand their need.

By the way, that's exactly the situation that happened to me, but instead of gambling some other things.
1204  Other / Meta / Re: Just for curiosity, I wanna know about those things.(Local board>child Board ) on: September 20, 2023, 01:43:59 PM
Actually, I wanna know, is there any requirement to get child boards for the local board? Or give as soon as you apply? And if you have to apply, to whom should you apply? Can moderators do this? Or the admin himself? What is the process?
Afaik, only theymos and Cyrus can create new local boards so what I would suggest is to make a request topic in Meta (but first talk about it in your local board to figure out which boards you actually need) and explain the reason why you need them. Just wanna warn you though that it may take some time to get them as nothing gets done fast around here.

They certainly won't do that because they are expected to switch to the new Epochtalk forum software and all changes waiting for that moment. I believe that when the transition starts, then new child boards and some new stuff will be added or whatever.

1205  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Alt account or loan defaulter [Obari] on: September 20, 2023, 09:33:15 AM
For those who care, cyber cowboy informed me that the loan has finally been paid in full.

Why did he only say that to you, why don't you make an update in his scam accusation thread? With proof of course.
If he cannot access his account, he can always use another account with an address signing to prove that it is him.

That is so frivolous and opens up all possibilities. But as far as I can see from the feedback, both accounts (cyber cowboy and Rohan Kotkar) are actually connected and probably alt accounts. So, a big red flag for all involved in this bullshit.
1206  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there another similar concept? on: September 20, 2023, 09:16:48 AM
You are on point with the metrics you provided. Although I can't ascertain how incoherent the results might be if this metrics is used as a standard to measure the success or failure of any similar forum as this, but this metrics will sure do and is notably still the best one yet.

Keep in mind that external factors also affect the increase or decrease of activity on the forum. For example, always during the bull run and when Bitcoin reaches its historical highest point, interest in it rises sharply like all other cryptocurrencies. I believe that some parallel graphs would show it well.
The same thing happens in the opposite direction, when it's bearish and when everything goes down, interest also decreases and activity on the forum decreases.
1207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Me and Crypto on: September 20, 2023, 09:06:05 AM
Now that you have passed certain initial things, I think it is the right time for you to start learning about Bitcoin itself and the technological potential it offers. You will see that it is not a scheme for investing and getting rich.
The better you understand Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, the easier it will be for you to make decisions about managing your investments and crypto capital.
1208  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: September 19, 2023, 07:07:32 PM
@bitmover pošalji PM menadžeru i pitaj ga za svoj status. Možda te unaprijedi u merit rang status.

Mislim da je vec bila diskusija ili bar pokusaj o ovome.
@bitmover, I have not overlooked your application. Replying specifically so that you don't feel ignored.
You have enough merit for the Merit rank but we are looking for some exceptional members for the remaining Merit Rank slot/s. I hope you understand it that the Merit rank does not only consider the qualified merit but there are other factors involved in there too.

In that case, the name "merit rank" is inappropriate, the bitmover case shows that despite fulfilling the quota of merit, it is not enough. Maybe a green zone again, Gold, VIP or something that will look good in terms of marketing.

1209  Economy / Services / Re: "I will Boost Your Crypto Website with Pro SEO Link Building" on: September 19, 2023, 02:01:40 PM
Since you admitted that you are a freelancer it's important to show us your success rate who are your clients and give us a list of sites that you ranked and why would potential clients pick you instead of more established SEO companies, It is better to tell us if you are affiliated on SEO companies like all SEO freelancers are doing.

Honestly, I have a hard time believing an SEO specialist who does not have his own site to showcase his service, and rank it in his chosen niche, if there is one, better to include it here.

When it comes to SEO, results and testimonials are very important.

I have to partially defend the OP, that is, the SEO business in general.
First, it is not to be expected that someone will publicly share information about their clients. This is not done for the protection of clients, so as not to affect their reputation. Such things can be considered inside information.

There is no way to prove that someone did SEO for a certain company, website or whatever. Apart from taking their word for it or if the client himself officially announces it somewhere (but this happens very rarely).

Even if you have all the reliable information that person xx did SEO for site YY, without prior knowledge (about SEO) and certain (paid) tools, you cannot determine the quality of the SEO work performed.

Backlinks are what he needs to prove. Their quality and method of creation.

However, what exposes the OP is his offer. He persistently offers backlinks, some of which he calls premium. Now I responsibly claim that it is not possible to get 10 "high-quality" backlinks for $50 (let's ignore the fact that his specific service comes with it). Or even 40 "elite" BL. for $300.
Just imagine, for example, CMC+Coingecko+38 and other "elite" sites sharing $300 for backlinks to some new and unproven crypto site...  Huh

What the OP doesn't say is that bad backlinks cause penalties from Google, and it's very difficult to correct that later.

1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: September 19, 2023, 01:38:32 PM
I feel like Max did all he could even with all the things that happened. I mean this dude didn't even had tire changes during the SC to get the first place, and he couldn't get that, which was a terrible deal for them because if he was first he would have fresh air and he would be able to just run with it, and wait until the ones behind him get the changes, and he could get a pit spot there.

They can already start doing certain tests and preparations for the next season. Because of Red Bull's dominance, I almost lost interest in following F1. Maybe Red Bull fans don't think so, but that was never good for any sport.
However, what I watched restored my faith that F1 can be interesting again. What Carlos Sainz showed was a real masterclass.
1211  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: September 19, 2023, 01:15:36 PM
I have a question about service fee, why is it always changing?, when I refresh the mixer, the service fee changes to: 4.637%, 3.017%, 1.055%, ..etc. I never got the service fee 0.7% or bottom.

I think that it is part of greater anonymity and potential concealment that coins go through the mixer, with different fees for each transaction. Just imagine if there was a fixed fee of 0.75% for all transactions, it would mark all Yomix transactions in some way. After a while, as soon as you see a 0.75% fee on a transaction, you automatically know where these funds came from, without the need for further verification.
You have a slider, so at the end, you choose which fee you want to pay. I recommend that it always be different.
1212  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Unnamed.exchange - do we have another exit scam? on: September 19, 2023, 12:33:05 PM
The value of the 1337 coins was so low that it is not worth the effort, but thanks for the detailed answer. I also think, since he hosted it so unprofessionally from his basement. Some of the payouts may even have been done manually, as I said, good that such an exchange disappears from the scene.

Honestly, I largely blame the projects themselves and the small communities that accepted the listing on this exchange or similar ones. Somehow they desperately wanted to be tradeable coins, so they just closed their eyes to all the suspicions of poor exchanges.

Oh, a long time ago I had a 1337 wallet and some coins there. He wasn't exactly worthless. I left it when it was rebranded to Elite (or something like that). It's always sad when I hear that some old coin with solid potential is losing the interest and support had from the community.
1213  Economy / Reputation / Re: LoyceV's Avatar and Signature log (campaign managers read this!) on: September 19, 2023, 11:23:34 AM
Design help needed

Since I still know nothing about CSS, I need some help:
Take this test page for example: I want to place the avatar left from the signature. The signature code is copied as-is from the forum. Example:
...

It's probably very easy if you know what you're doing (unlike me, I'm flying blind here). Who helps me out?

I'm not sure that design is the right word for what you want, at least looking at the design of other parts of the loyce.club site  Grin

The minimum for you is an ordinary table, I would suggest structure something like this:

or as an HTML document:

I know that you are not a supporter of using external services, but Bootstrap is something completely different and has a lot of advantages. Finally, you can host it yourself if you don't want these calls.
Here is the code:

Code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>

<head>
  <meta charset="utf-8">
  <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
  <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.3.1/css/bootstrap.min.css">
</head>

<body>
  <div class="py-5">
    <div class="container">
      <div class="row">
        <div class="col-md-12">
          <h6 class="">last checked: 2023-09-19_Tue_10:12h </h3>
        </div>
      </div>
    </div>
    <div class="container">
      <div class="row">
        <div class="col-md-4">
          <div class="row">
            <div class="col-md-12 text-center">
              <h4 class="">insert Avatar here</h4>
            </div>
          </div>
        </div>
        <div class="col-md-8">
          <div class="row">
            <div class="col-md-12">
              <h4 class="text-center">Insert Signature code here</h4>
            </div>
          </div>
        </div>
      </div>
    </div>
  </div>

</body>

</html>

1214  Other / Meta / Re: Trust inclusion or exclusion for inactive members. on: September 19, 2023, 10:16:13 AM
Some inactive members have recognized and exposed many scammers in the past, does this mean that due to their inactivity, they cease to be scammers? As a consequence of the exclusion of these from the trust zone.

Trust system was not created for ass kissers to back up fellow liars or such things, it was created to give support or oppose to the feedback left by forum members depending on the correctness of the feedback. The feedback system was created to appreciate trades that conducts on the forum so that other can take some idea about a member before they make a potential trade.

But unfortunately people don't use both systems for the reason it was created. The system is not bullshit but the people who use it for their own benefits.

Every created system has its abuses and misinterpretations.
Ass-kissing is a special discipline, you can see the same through giving merits to campaign managers or adding them to the trust list. Probably out of the hope of increasing the chances of entering their campaigns.
1215  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CryptoRadar Exchange on: September 19, 2023, 08:52:03 AM
Having a license and being a registered business are two different things.

Are you saying that it is possible to have a license without a registered business?

Quote
Just as I said before, malicious websites copy information from other websites, so revealing as little as possible protects the company behind CryptoRadar Exchange from potential identity theft. Whoever wants to know more can ask for the information from the team members on Telegram and if it seems the request is unjustified, then we just don't reveal the information.

How do we know that you are not one of those who take other people's licenses and present them as your own? Honestly, this is the lamest excuse for not making it public.

Quote
I've seen a lot of websites nowadays hide the information from public records, but CryptoRadar Exchange doesn't do that.

The complete opposite of everything you said before.
1216  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Unnamed.exchange - do we have another exit scam? on: September 19, 2023, 08:44:32 AM
Does anyone know when the Exchange was switched off? I still had Elite Coins there, they are not worth much but I am interested in the principle. There was no advance notice that the exchange would be shut down and you had to withdraw your coins/tokens, or did I miss it?

As far as I understood, at the beginning of April, they announced the shutdown of the official Discord channel, which was the only way to contact them. Informed in this post
At the end of June, the site went offline. Somehow, the deadline for domain registration/renewal is also in that period. Posted in this post It is very possible that with the expiration of the hosting lease, Tillkoeln just did not renew and shut down its website. Although I am convinced that he ran the whole business from his basement, and his exchanges were hosted on a personal computer.

Don't be too sad about this exchange, certainly even when it was online, many people complained that it was not possible to withdraw their tokens. So, in fact, there is no big difference, except that now no one can try or have false hope.

I don't know what the value of what you are robbed by this swindler Tillkoeln, maybe all the victims should think about reporting and suing. He is from Germany, so there is a high chance that he will be prosecuted for fraud. I saw that some members here have his personal information, maybe that's a good start.
1217  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: September 19, 2023, 08:24:58 AM
@sinbad.io I see that you've got two local threads, I wonder if you're needing one more. I can translate the thread and it will be my first translation job in our local board, Philippines(Pilipinas). Just let me know.  Smiley

I believe that any translation and publication on local boards is always welcome. You certainly don't need authorization for that, just post the link here. Your translation will probably be added to the OP post.
Many projects somewhat ignore the potential of local sections, even though they are all members who are users/lovers of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
1218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit] I want to give total 8 merits Newbie to Member {follow instructions } on: September 18, 2023, 09:04:58 PM
Hey mate are you for joke or what?
Why stressing newbies to give out just 8 merits you can freely give without attaching any tasks maybe if it was around 100 merits above you are giving out we can say those rules worths it but for just stressing yourself and also other to create this topic is something I think is not called for, and between how many merits do you think you can give a user for going those stress?

I have seen such attempts before.
Somehow, I can't shake the thought that this is an attempt to collect some additional merit, because hey, who wouldn't give merit to someone this generous?
I guess the whole idea is based on some similar merit giveaways mega threads, which were started by merit sources who received a certain amount of merit just for opening the thread.
1219  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: September 18, 2023, 08:53:04 PM

You have already opened a topic offering a similar service. That can be considered spam, I see that you respected the same things in other parts of the forum.
Delete the others and leave only one thread that you will keep up-to-date.
