1601  Economy / Reputation / Re: deadsea33 has locked his own complaint thread without resolution on: August 03, 2023, 08:08:44 PM
He did not get 700+ merit, only 258.

700+ merit is what I saw on his profile that he have as when I first saw this account DEADSEA33 .
That's why I was surprised and how on earth did he get up to that amount of me with a lower rank.
Check properly you'd see that is 700+ merit unless we're not talking about same account here.
1602  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Someone stole my account on: August 03, 2023, 06:55:22 PM
I need answers some got into my bitcoin the I had for over 2 years now making me pay fee after fee to receive them been going through this  for over 2 years.

This is some how confusing, before you talk about your account being stolen then you have to give us at least a name/username for those who knows how to get it to you. Who are you paying those fee to? And who asked you to pay a certain amount of fee?
You have being going through this for over two years and no result, why not change your password through your email?
1603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Happy to reach 50 merit on: August 03, 2023, 05:11:18 PM
Earning merit is really hard this days , since there are lots of things they consider for post to be meritable,
I Have been here for a year now, and still have a lot things to learn, but thank you for those who supported me to reach for where I am now,
but for me this is still a long journey, but its all worth it, thank you for appreciating my post, and giving me information's that i don't know, it will help me along the way on achieving my goals in crypto and this forum.
To be able to share and help others, those who only need a merit to reach a certain rank, post your most merit post, other post that you think is meritable is welcome and I'll review your post , please don't get mad if you don't received merit, keep learning, and don't get frustrated on setbacks.

I'll only say good job, 50 merit isn't easy to get depending on how difficult it is to get to this level. When you get to 100 merit I hope you're going to throw a party for all members of this Forum 😁. I can't say congratulations to this because you still have a long way to go and if you keep praising yourself on getting to 50 merit I think is going to distract you on what you should focus on.
And it seems you want to become a merit source from what you saying, easy OP,  you have a lot in your plate... The journey has just begun.

The Morocco female national team are making Africans proud with a 1nil win at halftime, I wish the girls would continue playing the way they're playing and avoid those silly mistakes. If the Colombia team are really taking those little chances they've got, it would have been them leading at halftime.

With the kick off of the second half, I still feel the Morocco female national team would win the game because the Colombia team have already qualify and they'd be careful with some key players so I don't see them taking this game too serious. IMO the Morocco girls would hold on to that lead till full time.

I don't really know why fans are just not ok with Harry Maguire coming to their supported club. This man Maguire is a good defender but the thing there is that the atmosphere at Manchester United is not really healthy for him, I've said this before but with the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham who are are going for Maguire, if he make a move to either of those clubs I think you can do better after all he is a really good rock in the England national team and he hasn't made any crazy blunder for the 3 Lions. So I think he can do better at Chelsea if he goes there, I prefer him going to the bridge than Spurs.
1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: August 02, 2023, 07:36:01 AM
In the world to day gambling is leading instead of BitcoinBTC (crypto currency) and more are still wanting to join gambling because the minimum age to gamble is 18+ and lot of upcomings are waiting and this is the total amount of gamblers, so let's talk about the crypto currency (Bitcoin) we all know that Bitcoin is a good investment and it has changed a lot in the crypto world but the interesting part is that the numbers of Bitcoin investors can't be compared to gamble and my question is Why? or  is the risk involved in Bitcoin higher than gambling risk?
Just chesk this source

In as much as the main target is getting profit between Bitcoin and Gambling it doesn't mean that Bitcoin can rob shoulders with Gambling they're two different thing. It has been (Gambling ) their before Bitcoin came.
In Gambling you have to get your money immediately you win without any network delay or whatever and you can't wait for your money to raise to a certain standard before you get hold of your money, that's where Gambling gets more fans more than Bitcoin, because it has to do mainly on investment and  you have to choose if you'd like to keep your money or not, and you get to hear stuff like HODLing but you can't see or hear such in Gambling.
So people will always go for Gambling than Bitcoin.
1607  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Jason Lowery's Twitter account hacked on: August 02, 2023, 04:08:38 AM
Now few people believe such promises, since this fraud is not new and most people already know about this scheme. And despite the fact that the Jason Lowery account has more than 100 thousand subscribers, only 3 people fell for this bait, who transferred only 0.00181439 BTC to the fraudster's wallet.

Scammers are like virus, they don't stop at a place for long and they're ready to change pattern of getting many people to fall for their lies and is really working for them. Now is like a battle between us and the scammers, how I wish we can always detect when they start lashing out their lies, that's too hard though.
I really think they have gotten more than the number you said 3, it would be more than 3 people. Because you all know how popular Jason Lowery is with the number of subscribers, the scammers must have gotten up to 20+ members who fell for it...
1608  Other / Meta / Re: re: "how to earn merit" topics on: August 02, 2023, 03:43:28 AM
Merit is both totally lame and kind of cool at the same time.  It gives people a goal to work towards, which is always nice.  However, it also makes people a little crazy.  I get that the main purpose is to be able to join a signature campaign (which is lame) but if there are any people out there who genuinely enjoy ranking up like this is a video game, that's cool.  I honestly don't like the system because it's somewhat of a circle jerk among some of the members here who seem to use it to gauge their value, but without it this place would probably be a ghost town of only members who actually care about Bitcoin, of which there are not too many of us left here.

The campaign coupled with the merit are those things that excite many users in this forum, no doubt that's what makes many members to forget the main reason why they're here but I assure you that we still have about 85% of the members who still care about Bitcoin.
We also have members who there intentions are not that pure in this forum that's why we have complains about scammers, account farmers and all that, those are the ones that don't care about what goes on in this Forum concerning Bitcoin. So I think is not really about ranking up and joining campaign to some, is all about what goes on here.

1610  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Imagine wetin we fit use BITCOIN do on: August 01, 2023, 04:38:56 PM
Even though this thing go make plenty brain, I feel say we never reach there. If we wan dey honest with ourselves, plenty people for Nija never see Bitcoin as something wey dey legit and the other big percentage of our people never really hear or know how to use Bitcoin. So, if we go reach this level, it means say our government done come out open with their full chest to support Bitcoin like El Salvador.

My Oga this one go fit happen only if the education concerning Bitcoin don scatter full 70% of the contri people for Naija. But me I still dy reason how e go dey possible like this, because people wey no sabi about Bitcoin full well well. Government self no dy help matter oh.

Omo this one go sweet o. The kind respect wey this one go give you ehh...them fit dash you one other woman untop as a worthy inlaw.

Why e no go sweet nah, see everybody go stone you plenty respect like say you be one of the ministers for Naija... But no go happy for something wey no be your own oh.😁😁
1611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 01, 2023, 03:29:21 PM
England ended the group stage with a 1-6 win against the China side whom we thought would give the Lioness a hard time on the field of play but it happened that the Lioness came with something different, I even thought it would end in a draw. Good win for the lioness, what a way to end the group stage.

In the round of 16 England are going to face the Super Falcons of Nigeria as it has been made official. I see that game as the clash of the Titans, no matter how poorly the Falcons may seem (performance wise), it won't be that easy for the Lioness and they're going to struggle to get a win, but I think it will go the Falcons way to win.
1612  Other / Meta / Re: re: "how to earn merit" topics on: August 01, 2023, 01:52:34 PM
Like what do we expect from those newbies who create such topics? Is not really their fault because the merit in question is the only way to get to the next rank, without it there's no way you can rank up to the next level. Is not easy to get 1 merit as a newbie, no one knows if he or she is making out time to create the best post to get at least a merit.
Whenever we see such topics "how to earn merit" we should start screaming out loud and start complaining, to gain 1 merit as a newbie gives them joy so we shouldn't write them off, I feel they deserve that 1merit for a start.
1613  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: August 01, 2023, 11:21:59 AM

65K Last year record price ever !

I think this year it might be full 100K Final bullrun for the coin.

The earlier some of us wake up from this dream of Bitcoin hitting $100k before the end of this year the better for us. Is it a wish or expectation, like what are we gonna call it?
The only way this dream (if I should call it that) is going to manifest is either we have Bitcoin prize hitting $40k before the end of this month or next month and stays there, that's when I'll believe it will happen.
Not that I'm against your opinion OP but if you look at how the prizes are going up and down then you'll see why I'm not fully open to the idea of it getting to $100k by the end of this year.
1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 01, 2023, 08:25:47 AM
Still keeping an eye on the Lioness and how it will end in their final group stage match, I haven't seen the England team play out their best in this tournament but it doesn't matter if they go out to get a draw which I'm certain they would in this encounter against 3rd place China.
I expect this game to be a do or die affair for the China female national team but the Lioness won't give out the whole 3 point, if that happens it would be a disaster for the Lioness, while Denmark need a win to close the gap so if England loses they're going out so to me I see the Lioness playing out a draw today.
1615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 31, 2023, 11:05:42 AM
It’s 0-0 at Halftime between Ireland and Nigeria. I think Ireland has been the better side so far. Ireland will beat Nigeria if the current trend persists, these Nigerian girls still have hangover. The only thing going for them in this game is their athleticism. They’re relying on counter attack and it’s crazy. That midfield is ghosting, i don't know what Waldrum is doing. They can’t even advance the ball to Ireland half, they need find a way to  move the ball quicker, these Irish maintain their shape at defense sharply. I think Nigeria have to win if not they’re going to play England in the next round and it’s going to be very difficult for them to progress.

I don't think they Falcons can do better than they're doing right now, because a draw would still qualify them to the next stage and I feel they don't care who they meet in the next round all they are focusing on is ending this game against Ireland, but if it's England like you said I don't see the falcons losing to the lioness on that encounter.
The both teams are still trying to get a goal in this game, but I feel this encounter would end in a goalless draw or 1-1 draw.

Unpredictable what happen with Barcelona rumor close for selling their main player Ousmane Dembélé, I don't think its good choose because Dembélé have impressive performance with Barcelona and success won La Liga tittle last season. Last season, Dembélé played 25 games and contributed with 5 goals including 7 assists. Have financial problem facing by Barcelona seems realistic with their reason why put Dembélé in the name list player for selling. Possibility with Barcelona earn fund more than 80 to 100 million and can use for buying player as Dembélé replacement.

If loss Dembélé, barcelona hasn't many option on right or left winger between reserve players not on the top performance, actually selling Dembélé is disappointed for Barcelona fans actually for defending their La Liga trophy next season.

Dembele is not much of a key players per say, whenever you saying something concerning a key player it shouldn't be Dembele because he was among those players that wasn't playing regularly before the introduction of Xavi.
Dembele contributed to the success of the Barcelona team last season but I don't think they have a choice in keeping him, as it is Barcelona are not the club they used to be, they're currently not stable financially so they have to let go some players with high salary.
1617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 31, 2023, 06:53:15 AM
Definitely, everyone should have the chance to learn, but we need to be careful here. Lets consider: We dont know if this person wants to stop committing crimes or just discover other ways to generate money illegally. Each situation has different outcomes.

Quite true but to me is best to just do the needful which is to teach that individual who wants to learn. It can only work smoothly if we can read the thought of the next person to know what he's thinking or planning to do next but that's not possible. There's nothing bad in teaching the drug dealer guy, not that if he uses it to do something illegal is your fault, all you did is showing him the best way to make money without being chased around by the cops. He might even change his mind depending on how you use your words, can get into his skin to convince him about the drugs thing

Quote
Im not saying he shouldnt learn about Bitcoin, but he should determine out his goals first. Is he serious about starting a cryptocurrency business? Do people think differently? You should teach if you answered yes to these questions. Life changes with education.

Information, like any instrument, can be utilized for good or evil.

He can say yes he'll change or not to use it for evil act but those are just words, after saying that he might go and do something different from what he said, so is not that easy to say something and abide by it. And at the same time he can be on the drug business and also on cryptocurrence business too, so we can point out his intentions.

1619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 30, 2023, 02:12:10 AM
Manchester United should just get rid of Maguire as soon as possible and look for a replacement. The replacement doesn't need to be a high-priced defender either because he is most likely to be a rotation player. While there are Varane and Martinez it isn't easy to get the shirt from any of them.

Getting rid of Maguire isn't the main issue here, in as much as the player Maguire is not having a great time at Manchester United doesn't mean they should just let him go too soon. Why I said that is because UTD are not even good at sealing a deal in the next 2 weeks, they can't even seek for a better defender.
They can't get any business done as soon as possible so I don't think getting him off is a good idea at this point in time until they're ready to scout properly for a defender.
With Martinez and Varane as pairs is not %95 ok as we all know Varane as an injury prone player so they can't be trusted, that's why I said is best to get a replacement before letting Maguire go.
And UTD are just not ready this season, the defensive department is not up to the task at hand and I just feel for the goalkeeper Onana.
1620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 30, 2023, 01:43:18 AM
If you are aware that your neighbor living next door is into drug dealing and he come seek your advice how to buy Bitcoin, will you teach him?

What comes straight to mind is embezzling the ill-gotten money, but is this even safe? My other neighbor knows I am into Bitcoin and he learned from me, I guess that's how this other neighbor knew, I told him to go meet the next neighbor but he said he is not ready to teach.

What will you do if something like this is happening around you? Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin if not for a safer haven for running the business?

My mind isn't settled as I keep thinking different things, what is on your mind readers?

First of all don't write off anybody when it comes to learning no matter how you see that person.
Your neighbor who's a drug dealer and wants to learn about Bitcoin from YOU and not the other guy you taught, is something you have to prepare your mind to do, I mean what's there? Like what do you expect when you are done teaching someone something good won't that person telling another?

He might be a drug dealer but can you tell if after teaching him all about Bitcoin that he might stop going into drugs? You can be a life changer at this point, drug dealers make so much money like you asked "Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin? " who knows if he wants to stop the illegal way of making money. Well if I'm to be you OP I'd go ahead and teach him all I know about Bitcoin.
