1601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 10, 2023, 04:24:02 PM
If I had a better solution then I would keep my bitcoins instead of selling them.
Even if I run into some financial constraints, I think it's still good to find a solution that won't make me regret the sale later. As I experienced recently, I had to get some urgent loans because the payment of salary for my real job was a little later than usual.

I don't consider selling bitcoin on dips, it should be avoided as much as possible for long term goals. When we plan long-term investments, we should have extra cash reserves that can be spent when urgent, while I choose the loan option for a few days instead of selling bitcoin or other investment assets. It was a better solution for my situation today, but you don't need the same.
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 10, 2023, 04:03:16 PM
What are you talking about Exactly what Real Madrid did last season. In several matches Real Madrid had suffered defeat in the first leg, but they managed to silence all doubts by winning in the second leg. Real Madrid have already put one foot in the quarter-finals after their big win over Liverpool.
I agree with the assumption above, Real Madrid has already set one foot in the quarter-finals and will try to set another foot in the second leg.
Mathematically, Liverpool still have a chance to qualify for the quarter-finals if they can beat Real Madrid with a score of more than 3 goals. But of course it is difficult to expect Real Madrid's defense to be that bad, unless several key players in its defense are injured. Meanwhile Real Madrid are likely to be better equipped to maintain their aggregate advantage, so Liverpool will have to try something down the rabbit hole in the second leg.

Bayern Munich and Manchester City became Real Madrid toughest competitors to advance to the final. However, before the quarter-finals began, their chances of advancing to the final were still open.
I think Real Madrid, Manchester City, Inter and Napoli are the favorites to advance to the quarter-finals. I am very confident in my choice, so we can really expect a lot of tough games in the quarter-finals. It's difficult to predict the final, but I think Real Madrid won't be as lucky as last season again.

1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 10, 2023, 03:44:34 PM

I try my luck by bet on underdog club Lyon tonight, maybe this looks mission impossible because Lille is never lost at home except Nice a year ago. but anything change can happen, because when I look at how they have same statistic on the last 5 matches I have thingking both club is have the same potential to winning and lost at the same time. yeah, this just my gambling, I really never know how much injury player for each team where will affect the performance.
Hey Blue Snow, I think you know that nothing is impossible in a match, right?
You can easily try your luck on a non-favorite team in that match, and of course if in the end your choice is correct then you are entitled to a higher win. Also there must be a reason why you would choose Lyon to win the game, but I tend to think that the game ended in a draw.

LOSC plays at home, they perform well at home and are one of the strongest teams at home. LOSC has only lost 2 of their 13 home matches, so I think it's a bit hard to expect them to lose tonight. While Lyon has suffered 6 defeats away from home, this will probably be their 7th loss away from home.
1604  Other / Meta / Re: Change a topic into self-moderated retrospectively / add polls retrospectively on: March 09, 2023, 07:51:41 PM
It would be great if we can do that where we can add polls or make it into self-moderated thread. In my opinion, in that way we can help delete posts that are posted in the thread we created that is out of topic, low quality and non-constructive posts which I think mods don't have to do it themselves.
Of course that would help anyone with good intentions, but what if it was the other way around?
Someone who eventually turns into scammer could easily delete some of your replies after few years on the thread if the feature existed, but I can expect something positive from it. The solution is to close the old thread, start new thread, or report spam and keep it up.

OP, to be honest that I've asked about the same thing a few years before: Can admin enable feature I forgot in a published thread?

And this is one of the most helpful answer for me:

What you can do is to create a new thread a self-mod., close the previous thread and let everyone know that you made a new thread, or just let it as is.
1605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 09, 2023, 07:32:28 PM
I really feel for the owners of the club after their huge spendings in signing the best footballers in the world over the past 8 season's yet the most prestigious club trophy still eludes them. Surely they're going to get the services of another manager at the end of the season. Since they are going to focus on the French Ligue 1 and other domestic trophies for the rest of the season, other clubs in the league will be fighting for the top four spots instead of the title.
That means money will never guarantee you get everything you want.
That scenario happened to PSG and Manchester City. The two teams have yet to feel how great it is to win the Champions League even though they have spent a lot of money to improve the quality of their teams. Manchester City in my opinion is more successful regarding its transfer policy, while PSG is not very good even though it manages to have Neymar, Mbappe and Messi in its team.

I don't sympathize with PSG for their failure, but it's a shame how bad the situation they are in when they need reliable players in big matches like the Champions League. PSG don't have the same squad depth, even Barcelona looks better despite their financial problems.

1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 09, 2023, 07:16:15 PM
Chelsea were just lucky to go through because of Dortmund lack of dominance in the match. Potter formation worked because Dortmund played an offensive pattern and against a well composed team they will lose. Sadly for Chelsea fans they won't be able to get their wish of Potter sacked happen. Bohely has promised to back him till the end of season
Chelsea were not only lucky, but they managed to keep their victory without conceding a goal in the second leg after leading 2-0.
The players' hard work deserves appreciation from everyone, Potter too. But Chelsea is not as good as expected because the game strategy is not proportional to the depth of their squad. Potter was responsible for improving the team and positive results in match, but he is still underappreciated even though he guided Chelsea through to the quarter-finals.

While Tottenham have fallen short, I expect Manchester City to be the other team to make it to the quarter-finals as Liverpool are looking to be expected to overtake Real Madrid's high goal deficit. The second leg is not for Liverpool, but they also have mission to take revenge for the 2-5 home defeat in the first leg.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 08, 2023, 04:19:51 PM
This season in the Champions League as usual a lot of clubs from England in the playoffs, which suggests that the EPL is the strongest league in Europe... But I think that Spurs might not be as lucky as Chelsea tomorrow... Although I agree that they have about the same level of play right now... Except that Milan are in much better shape... So I have my doubts about this game...
I don't agree with you, Tottenham seems to have a better possibility to win their home match.
Milan is a strong team in defense, but they can't expect much at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium because the home team has a better chance of playing in front of the home crowd.

I believe Tottenham are the favorites in the second leg even if they lost the first leg, even after two lucky defeats in their last two matches in the Premier League and FA Cup. Tottenham are expected to qualify for the quarter-finals following the success of Chelsea's comeback in the second leg yesterday.
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 08, 2023, 04:07:25 PM
Monza's weakness is that they are not able to play consistently. and that makes it quite difficult for them to face Verona at home. even though Verona is not a strong team, they can get a draw from this match. Monza is the favorite but they are also sloppy at times. so a draw score will be better in this match or maybe Verona will take the initiative to excel from the early minutes which will make Monza's game chaotic. but overall I see this fight as 50:50.
I haven't watched any of these two's matches this season, I don't think those two teams have caught my eye so far.
Napoli, Inter, Juventus and Milan are the teams that made me watch Serie A for several seasons. The 4 teams I mentioned have something good to look forward to, especially since they are big teams which allows me to get some of their matches on the betslip.

I didn't watch the Verona and Monza match although they played the top 4 teams above, but surely some of us might know a lot about them so far. The home team's chances of winning are better, but Monza seems to have good form to be expected to win the match.

Somehow I'm not sure @bitzizzix is a native Russian speaker.
I assume @bitzizzix uses Google Transtale or something like that to post in Russian. I think some Russian user can verify his post as I believe if @bitzizzix was on GT then he wouldn't be able to write it properly.

@bitzizzix should probably also be invited on this thread to clarify.

I will take note of this. Since I still don't have any idea why people chase merits all I know is that it can cause you to have a good background! And I agree when posting a topics that are educative.
Merit is needed to rank up, that is one of the conditions that you must fulfill so that you can rank up.

Of course, you should get used to interacting with multiple forum users, not just on one board, but across multiple boards or elsewhere if you understand the topic and know what to write about. This will encourage you to gain knowledge, and of course it will also help you earn merit. Good luck.
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 08, 2023, 02:57:51 PM
In my opinion, this is a fairly even pairing, with almost equal chances of victory for each team. Tottenham are playing at home in their own stadium, but Milan have the advantage in terms of goal difference and can play on the counter-attack. I think this game will be difficult and will not decide the winner. The teams will play to a 1-1 or 0-0 draw.
Even though the strength of the two teams looks balanced, I think Milan will find it difficult to maintain a 0-1 advantage in this second leg.
In my opinion, Tottenham will tend to attack in this match and will put pressure on the Milan defense from the first half. I don't consider this match to end in a draw, but Tottenham are likely to be the second team to advance to the quarter-finals after Chelsea.

For PSG, it might be a bit different. I have a feeling it's not a 90 minute match, but it looks like the team that will qualify for the quarter-finals will be decided in 120 minutes. PSG are doing well in Ligue 1 and this team seems to be getting more compact in a number of matches. I believe PSG will have a hard time defending their net without conceding a goal, but I can expect Messi and Mbappe's performance to be really useful in this second leg. At least PSG I think will qualify for the quarter-finals, I don't expect this to be wrong.
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 08, 2023, 03:34:01 AM
Benfica looks like they will secure a quarter-final ticket today, in my opinion.

Chelsea were expected to win 2-0 and qualify for the quarter-finals, but we know Dortmund also have a chance.
Dortmund has a relatively big chance to advance to the next round. I chose them to show their best strength in the Champions League this season. a 1-0 advantage is good enough capital for Dortmund in the away match that will take place today. the strength of the two teams from their appearance this season is quite different in the domestic league. because dortmund was able to progress quite well in the bundesliga while Chelsea found it difficult in the Premier league.

This might be a little ridiculous if Chelsea really had to lose to Dortmund at Stamford Bridge somehow the consequences for Potter future.
Chelsea and Benfica actually qualified, both teams both won the second leg of the match as expected.
Many people thought Chelsea would not advance to the quarter-finals, but in fact Graham Potter managed to prove his team deserved to qualify after winning the home match with a score of 2-0.

According to statistics, Chelsea is not very good because Dortmund dominated the match. But finally Chelsea managed to take advantage of several opportunities to score and secure the match with a win. Of course it's not a surprise, but it's the most they deserve after spending so much money on player spending.
1614  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcointalk, we have a new member of the forum administration on: March 06, 2023, 05:08:28 PM
@Ratimov, your report has been handled. So this case seems to be closed, it must that is be a good catch.

To be honest, I did not send any report, I just created a topic and nothing more. Then, after a while, I went to the forum and farlack was already banned.
Someone other than you may have reported it and the admin found an old report which was then taken care of. It's just that the moment coincided.

For those who think that farlack is banned because of his dubious signature and false admin: the reason for his ban is not that he tried on the role of an administrator. He is a longtime ban evader, the evidence was presented 2 years ago:

Ban evasion.

account_seller777 - banned
farlack
Yeah, I'm just not used to dropping into those threads and probably missed them. But thanks for showing the real reason clearly. Admin took the right moment to ban farlack, so now everyone should know why.
1615  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcointalk, we have a new member of the forum administration on: March 06, 2023, 04:08:05 PM
So the team member who was trying to threatening everyone us that they will have to face consequences for calling him scammer have already tasted his own medicine by getting banned.Giving him signature ban was good but complete ban to such scammers who impersonate themselves as admin members is best. They try these cheap tricks Just to fool any newbie whom they might contact through PM or they message them so playing these cards but how they don't think they can get caught I don't know. But appreciate your efforts @Ratimov for exposing these scammers here.
This is serious case for proper action, but I believe the forum does not moderate the scam even if had dropped the hammer.
I agree with the ban, it's much better than having to give him a second chance. That user is trying to identify himself as an admin for his personal gain regardless if he is cheating or some other reason. It's never ethical, and yes a permanent ban is a consequence.

@Ratimov, your report has been handled. So this case seems to be closed, it must that is be a good catch.
1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 06, 2023, 03:48:43 PM
So my question now is that can someone use gambling as a means of earning living?
This is the most common question, but it's only natural because gambling behavior tends to vary from gambler to gambler.
There are times when someone gambles for fun, that's the reason when they have lot of money that maybe it won't get them into trouble when they lose. While most gamblers generally gamble for money, they look to gambling as means of making quick money, but in the end losing only tends to make them worse.

But if you ask gamblers, then in fact you will not get definite answer about what their goals are for gambling. I'm sure some will lie about the goal, but in most cases, earning money is the goal.
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 06, 2023, 03:40:02 PM
Gilloise doesn't look like a strong team for me. I think that if you can see that how bad gilloise's performance in the belgia league. It's still under genk. Union berlin as a strong team in bundesliga will able to defeat it easily. We don't know what's gonna happen during the match but it seems like that draw would become the worst result for berlin. That's an easy match to predict if berlin will be winning without even need to use a lot of effort against gilloise.
Frankfurt did not have good form in the Bundesliga last season, but they did manage to win the Europa League title after reaching the final.
Things like what Frankfurt experienced last season can also be achieved by any team this season including Gilloise. Nobody really underestimated Gilloise in the round of 16, I think they will definitely struggle even if their form is not good in their domestic league.

Personally I don't consider these two teams capable of qualifying for the semi-finals, one of them will fail in the round of 16 and those who qualify at this stage will fail in the quarter-finals. I tend to agree that this season's title will be won by a team that falls short of the Champions League, but I give special tip to Arsenal and also Manchester United.
1618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Build your Own Casino(online/offline) If You Know You Can? on: March 06, 2023, 03:29:02 PM
There is no amount of money that you have as a casino owner is bigger than the project itself. Even you have $900 billions, one lucky winner can just wipe everything plus the capital of the business away.
There must be maximum payout limit, this term is intended to limit the maximum payout for lucky gamblers' winnings.
I don't imagine any casino will pay gamblers winnings without any limit, that's impossible because you never know when someone's luck wipes out your entire business bankroll.

So don't think that because you have enough money so can just invest on online casino.
The casino business is indeed lucrative, but achieving success is not as easy as one might imagine. There is a risk of failure, because this industry is quite competitive. However, you shouldn't be too paranoid about failure because it only makes it difficult for you to grow. I'm not talking about you, but this is meant for anyone else who has a wish.

I don't think the OP needs to lock the thread, he or anyone else just needs to report it to moderator if it breaks the rules.
There is a specific rule that states he can report one or some post from this thread to moderator if it breaks the rules, these are called local rules that everyone must obey.

Unfortunately, this is not a self-moderating thread and therefore the OP can't react to violations other than just reporting them.

Though I love Neymar and Messi, I'm happy for mbappe. At his age, He has really shown that he is capable of showing more.  I barely find a player of his era play to that capacity. Mbappe will do more if he also sees the idea of contributing to other peoples goal as a priority.i believe this and this alone will help him get close to attending the height of the already existing icons like Ronaldo, Messi,  and Neymar. Mbappe is one of the greatest of his own time.
Mbappe is still very young, he is only 24 years old but his quality has been recognized worldwide.
Of course he is still very likely to develop and reach the peak of his performance, but sometimes we still think he is little selfish. It has to work on and he has to be very humble about the other players, it will only help him improve a lot.

However, in recent matches it seems that Mbappe is starting to show something different. He has to get used to doing things on behalf of the team, not for himself. Having a good relationship with Messi will make Mbappe better, but it only depends on how Mbappe serves his colleagues.
