The erratic performance made me worry about Real Madrid. After they won from Liverpool Real Madrid have not been able to win in a few games. But the three-goal difference in the first leg might make me a little more optimistic Real Madrid will qualify in the next phase.
This is because Liverpool just won 7-0 against Man United. Even though mentally Madrid's quality is much better than Man United. Liverpool still have a chance even a little bit. Making three goals at the Bernabeu won't be easy.

Benfica looks like they will secure a quarter-final ticket today, in my opinion. But Chelsea may be otherwise.

Do you think it is an advantage when you play in a weak league and then play against Champions League competitors from the strongest leagues in the world because you can focus better on the CL and neglect your national league? I think it is quite the opposite and I have been thinking that for a long time. When the top teams are challenged every single week and they get used to constant pressure over a long period of time, they don't have to switch gears as much as PSG has to switch gears. You have no real tests and you don't know where you stand until you meet the first big one in the Champions League. In my eyes that is not an advantage.

Again, PSG's defense is not the best, but it is not the worst either. But when you compare it to other teams, when you take the whole defensive movement and overall performance of the whole squad, then it kicks in that PSG has three players standing around at the midfield line while other teams have a compact defense where some of the offensive players also work defensively. That makes quite the difference.

I do not think it is a advantage to play in a weaker national league that is what I am trying to highlight. PSG defense is good for their league but when they play in the Champions League they have some of the worst statistics in tackling and conceding goals from number of attacks. They only do not concede as many as other teams because they have the ball a lot because of their attacking players but their defenders are not good enough for the champions league. I am not saying they are not good players or their defense is not good I am saying it is not good enough for the Champions League. Real Madrid and Manchester City as a eg show that you need good defenders to win the league and they have good attacks but they have just as good defense. Do you think that PSG have the same quality defense as previous winners of the Champions League? I do not think so and I think if they corrected it because it is their weak point they can win the Champions League but they need to do it before neymar and Messi retire.

Ok I get your point, but even that is a bit more complicated because maybe if those players would play on Premier League level every single week, they would also be better. They are unchallenged in too many games and Premier League clubs have a hard game almost every week. Yes if Manchester City plays against teams from the table bottom, there are also games where it is not that hard for them. But on many more occasions they have tough games on the highest level possible in domestic soccer. When you meet Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea on a regular basis, it doesn't compare to Ligue 1 and that is a big issue.

I think even Mbappe doesn't score a lot of goals in Ligue 1. With his quality and at his age now. Messi scored 50 goals in La Liga 2011/2012. Mbappe is going to turn 25 now as well this year and so far he scored 18 goals in 26 games. For a player of his quality and with such a dominant squad, it doesn't sound that much. And he can be so dangerous as a striker.

It will be a very tough game between chelsea and Dortmond. With chealsea present squad, i am 90% sure of winning Dortmund.
Chelsea last match against Leeds utd was almost impossible for chelsea to score but team work and massive attack helped them in achieving a winning goal.
Chelsea has a strong defence unlike Manchester United, i so much have confidencein Enzo, he performed wonderfully in the midfield. Considering their last match, chelsea needs more effort on there forward and Defence because Dortmond is a team that has the strategy of scoring and defending their goal.

Yes, Chelsea have great difficulties with both the squad and coaches... But for me the example of Liverpool, which lost to Real 2-5, scoring the first two goals... I am pretty excited for the game between Chelsea and Dortmund today as it is such a close call. I have no idea which direction this game will take. Chelsea played better than they last results are telling us and Dortmund is missing Adeyemi who was on his way to turn into that dangerous striker Dortmund was looking for. But I am even more interested in the game between Bayern and PSG tomorrow. I love to watch Mbappe play as he has got everything a perfect striker needs. First and foremost his explosive acceleration and then his ball control at full speed. This statistic is interesting though:

Chelsea will have to do everything possible to win this match today. This is because their next year's European football depends on the result of this match today. Chelsea are currently in the tenth position in the EPL which means they might not qualify for the Champions League next season. I don't expect much from them either despite them leaving the game of last Friday where they lost against the penultimate team in their local league in the standings,one of the worse teams there and Brugge got and lost 2-0 that game.Probably because they want to go all out tonight against Benfica but I don't think they have the fire power,the will and determination to stop a Benfica which plays extremely well compared to them so I see tonight game a Benfica that will most probably win and why not with a tennis result if they want to.Benfica is clearly on the next leg from this encounter.

If Chelsea ended up losing then its pretty normal considering that they have only scored 4 goals out of their last 10 games combined on all league. Thats pretty devastating statistic considering that Chelsea spent alot during the january transfer. Actually Real Madrid's performance in the 1st leg wasn't that impressive, as in the first 20 minutes, Liverpool really did a good attacking strategy. But it affected their defensive line, while they were too focus to attack. After that, Alisson made a mistake and the rest was disaster for Liverpool. I think Klopp has figured out how to handle that situation, it's proven by their surprising result against the Carabao Cup winner Man Utd, that at that time had good results in their latest several games. In the other side, Real Madrid only got two draw results against Atleti and Betis in LaLiga, and beaten by Barcelona in Copa del Rey. I think it's fair enough to favor Liverpool to win the leg 2. It's surely hard for them to qualify, but their chance to win is quite good.
