1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: June 16, 2023, 01:24:39 PM
These are good advise to rest the hotting brain on gambling. Some time go out with friends and enjoy yourself with them. That budget would not work for chronic gambler, although he will set budget of the day before when the actual capital has been exhausted, then the reserved or the left over will be visited. The only advise I will go so such person is to removed his mindset on the gambling. Let the friends take him out to do other activities and trying to make him to forget gambling.
Because if he is there in the casino hall or drugs is another issue for gambler. Those who are from the cultist background cannot stay with drugs so the best thing to do for them is to take to a cool place and play a simple blues for him to listen and forget about it.

Also you will discover that many gambler have pleasure in spending money extensively on gambling because they will want to be noticed by others as being influential, that is another factor they don't know that such happens as a result of pride, they will look for the money they dont have to gamble on things they don't need in other to entice those that don't even care about their source of income, all this often happebs whenever they are amidst their friends.
1622  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 50 gambling Instagram & TikTok accounts on: June 16, 2023, 12:08:23 PM
I want to ask this question for a while now and I think this is a good opportunity, are gambling influencers real gamblers? Or they are just doing their influencing job to attract many people into gambling? Because I find it very hard to believe that all gambling influencers are into gambling, many of them don't even want anything to do with gambling, but as a influencer for different types of casinos, they will make a lot of money from those casinos, way more than being a crypto influencer.

They may be gamblers themselves and some may not even have interest in gambling but good at making promotional materials offers for industries and organizations, that's why they were called influencers, they have the very quality and package of getting people's attention on something and not only that, they also have a persuasive talent of convincing others to do something, but what is common with them is that they are mostly paid to engage such services.
1623  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling addiction causes ear deafness? on: June 16, 2023, 11:46:52 AM
     -   Well, with other gamblers they actually do that. Even though their friends and relatives warn them, they turn a deaf ear and still do what they want to gamble.

So the other people, they just let them in their inclined gambling because they see that their warning to them is ignored. The reminder they heard goes in the right ear and out the left. This is really the effect when gambling becomes an addiction or vice to them.

Turning a deaf ears in gambling does not have to necessarily have the gambler with the deformity of a blocked ear, such gambler will not just listen to every positive advise to help his gambling experience or career in life because they think they know the best and stands not to be corrected, alot of people found under this category had been left out without much effort on them for change unless they personally wish to.
1624  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 16, 2023, 10:53:37 AM
I'm not sure about Apple Store but Google Play does accept Gambling apps if they meet certain requirements set by them,
No gambling site app on Google playstore too.

Listing the apps is not the issue, the main problem is that there isn't enough demand from gamblers to their favorite cryptocurrency casinos to make mobile apps because people like gambling on bigger screens like on laptops of PCs, and, security is also one of the reason why casinos don't go for it.
Only the gambling sites can know which device or apps that most gamblers are using. More people are using phones to access internet now, unlike before that computers are more used. Phones are now designed in a way they are capable to be doing what computers are doing, unlike before. The more better phones are created, the more people are using phones to get access to gambling sites. Many are using phones today to gamble too.

Alot have changed ever since the use of online casinos for sport betting in gambling, what now cause the additional increase is the easier means gamblers now finds with the use of mobile phones to access gambling platforms at their very comfort zone, this makes it more interesting to always finds a means to gamble irrespective of the location one is without a barrier as long as they can have an internet access.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 16, 2023, 10:23:40 AM
I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.

How many of us are guilty of this?
This is the cause of being addicted to gambling. Your brain keeps releasing feel good hormones whenever a thought of casino crosses your mind that it draws you back over again. We have all come to this point although for some person the urge to go back is stronger than in others. It used to be my story earlier when I say I am not going back but then I go back. I just had to stop saying it and started taking action. Anyways, I joined a responsible gambling community and learned some strategies to deal with this. It took some time  but I did it. The strategies and intervention I learned there worked. So if you are like this, my candid suggestion to you is to find a trusted community and seek help.

As humanbeings, we are bound to mistakes, some things we say were not really what we meant vut we only make such utterances because the conditions being attached to our emotions at that moment, except we are left with the option of nothing left to use or take to gamble with we may not stop gambling due to the nature of how fun it is to gamble, in cases like this, we can always make abstainance the best solution to avoid gambling and also finds a means to engage ourselves busy on other things and than gambling for a while.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: June 16, 2023, 10:02:41 AM
Any longed time gambler should know that gambling is just a matter of trying your own luck coupled together with how good you're in planning on a particular strategy to gamble with, we see some results as exactly predicted by us sometimes but this isn't what is common, some other time we may have the results that we never expected to see, we should always understand that these are the likes of risk that we may also come across in gambling either when we are winning or loosing, but the house will always have an upper edge over us.
Winning is always the goal; gamblers who are not making money are not developing their gaming approach; we learn new things every day in gambling. Gamblers spend a lot of money on games; some days they get lucky, and other days they lose. Gamblers understood the game, and each gambler has their own strategy for gambling casinos. Profitable gamblers are willing to take risks and face their concerns. I don't wager more than my anticipated targets in order to avoid crossing the line, which results in losses. When I place a bet and it doesn't count my predictions, I stop for the day because going the additional mile for revenge makes deleting your account easier.

Winning may just be the goal of some gamblers while some don't mind about this at all because they already have enough money and time to use in gambling but needs the fun more than the money, which means we can have gamblers with different taste because of their personal definition to why they are into gambling, but as for me, i will like to go with having the two options being the best expectation to always go for, money and fun.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: June 16, 2023, 09:41:05 AM
Online casinos is getting more attention of gamblers today because the whole world is rotating round about the advanced digital technology and people are finding it very easy to go along with this in gambling because the gamblers can through the comfortability of their mobile phone device lauch into any gambling platform and enjoy the experience with gambling without having any barrier to gambling.
Sports' sector also plays a big role on the gambling adoption and widespread recently. Despite digital devices reaching the hands of every individuals in the world, I think gambling wouldn't be on the currently level of popularity if it wasn't for the many betting houses being created right now, that are sponsoring the soccer industry, its teams and players. Moreover, they are heavily promoted by famous influencers on each community and region they have influence.

There are influencers from every categories promoting gambling right now: actors, comedians, musicians, youtubers, athletes and so on...

Everything all works for the growth and development of the gambling sector, everyone has his own role played starting from he gambler involved himself, the gambling platform, the influencers and both the online and physical casinos present, they all ensure that gambling is experienced and took place, we can see how vast the gambling community today is turning to, things are getting more advanced and development is taking charge and every gambling platforms are keeping to improve themselves along with these recent increase in both online and offline gambling.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can One's Religion Compel A Compulsive Gambler To Quit Gambling on: June 16, 2023, 09:10:16 AM
Can a compulsive gambler that is newly converted to one religion, compel him to stop gambling?

It all depends on the conditions attached, if the gambler newly converted is also a newbie to gambling he may easily quit and be submissive to his new faith, also if he's left with no alternatives than to depends on them for his survival then he has to go by thier dictates especially when the new religion doesn't allow gambling, but if in the case of an addicted gambler, am sorry they will have alot of efforts to give

When we talk about religion it's about changing our ways, ideas, and beliefs so when we successfully help one compulsive gambler to convert from an example to an atheist to one's religion can we compel him to stop gambling?

Don't be surprised people change, especially when they have passion for what they are doing, if he truly determined to change, he can achieve that over time gradually.

Is it possible that he will continue playing but secretly?

He may later be caught so it's better not to start what will lead to shame, if he can't cope with their rules then he should alert them.
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 16, 2023, 08:46:55 AM
I could remember way back when I used my tuition fee for betting,I felt so remorse and filled with regrets when this happened. At first,it will like nothing happened but later, when I have to face the consequences of my action,I regretted it and learnt from my experience.

I wonder what age you're then when this experience occur to you, i believe maybe by then, you're just a student and have no other sources of income than from what you receives from home, what exactly got you been so desperate to have decided on using your school fees for gambling, is through your friends influence or you've got that kind of bold and thicker heart to take such huge risk for gambling.

Chasing your loss it the major problem that can lead a gambler to use all his payroll to gamble at a spot, and this happens when you are greedy and you want to win big. Remorse and regrets will be the order of the day when one chases his loss. Self discipline can help a gambler to trim his losses and will make him not to feel remorse over a little loss.

The aftermath always looks ugly because there's always a very high probability of loosing than winning and gambling is not a form of an investment but rather a risk to either loose or earn through betting, maybe there's this cover that always manifest on gamblers which makes them believe they will always win whenever they are about taking such high esteemed risk in gambling, once they are done, they feel remorse.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 16, 2023, 08:28:18 AM
To be honest, it's not easy for me to quit gambling. But I gamble only for fun. So I gamble for some adrenaline and some dopamine. I am sure that one day I will definitely not lose control if I win a lot of money while gambling. Because I know why I gamble. If a person manages to control himself, it is okay for him to go back to gambling, even if he wins or loses money from gambling. I don't think it's about luck. I think it's a matter of willpower. We cannot control our luck. But we can control our willpower.
Gambling is a deadly addiction, but it is not for everyone. Gambling is a deadly addiction for those who cannot control themselves while gambling. There are some people.  People who gamble often lose control of their money.I think it's fine if you gamble in your free time. But if you choose gambling as a way of income, it can be a big disadvantage for you.

There's addiction in gambling but that does not applies to everyone that they are a gambling addicts, only the few ones who were unable to maintain theirselves while gambling under a controlled gambling atmosphere and go too far and wild with gambling leaving other things ought to be done left undone because of their addiction, they barely create time for other constructive developments profitable to their lives than focusing on gambling only all the times.
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 16, 2023, 08:06:55 AM
~snip~
You will found out that every gambling addicted individuals will always loose control of himself and end lacking the perfect direction to how they should live or handle their personal lives, such ends up in hunger because they have no money left to feed themselves with neither do they have any quality source of income that they are serious with and giving them source of income, which means it will do much of harm than good if we are gambling addicted.

That's common in many addictions, but it's specially true in gambling, because you can lose so much money in such a short amount of time.

The thing is that it's an order of magnitude more expensive than any other addictions, because you physically cannot consume/use that much of the drug/addiction in a day, whereas with gambling you can lose all your money in a single day.

Well, Maybe I don't know how it fells since am not the type of addicted gambler like many of those under this category, which never have the sense of perception to how much they are missing at the cauae of excessive gambling without boarders, I don't even know of they have a kind of future long term plan for themselves to set a goal and pursue after since all they do is to spend all their income till it exhausted in gambling than busy thinking carefully about other areas of their life.
1632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New question for experts on: June 15, 2023, 05:16:03 PM
In your opinion, is it worth attending blockchain events?

No knowledge is a waste, blockchain technology experience is needed if you're into bitcoin in other for you to understand more better on how the whole process works, knowing that blockchain is the sole background technology that every bitcoin transactions and storage takes place, as a complete discussion, bitcoin is never fully understood without the blockchain technology and this will help you understand more better about bitcoin itself and widens your scope.
1633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Received Email from Localbitcoins on: June 15, 2023, 05:06:39 PM
Today I received an email from local Bitcoins (no-reply@localbitcoins.com) and they are reminding me to withdraw the funds and some terms being applied to the account from 16 April.

I have no funds left there but still, I got this email. Do everyone who had an account in Localbitcoin got this mail today?

They have closed the service since 16-Feb-2023, why do people still have funds there?

You need to be very careful in this kind of experience because it may be a tricky way of trying to scam you and many other people that might use the same exchange, they may later request more informations from you try to tracked you through such means, but since you've said that you have no money left with them you don't have to worry about them, disregard the message but for those still having their and bitcoin hooked down there, there's more need to be more vigilant not to give out sensitive information, maybe we could see more user with same experience.
1634  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Africa needs peace in Ukraine and Russia. on: June 15, 2023, 04:54:45 PM
Recently six African countries have scheduled to visit Russia and Ukraine in an attempt to seek peace. They are aware that this war is affecting the continent negatively and that the war should end. We know many more powerful nations have tried to end this war but failed, I am just praying that South Africa, Zambia, Senegal, the Republic of Congo, Uganda, and Egypt might find a way to end this war.

Why the visit to them both, I don't know maybe is to beg and compelled Russia to end the war or to appeal with Ukraine for facing the consequences, this their dispute is something more of inter communal dispute and the best people to interfere to the judge of this case is the US and the NATO allies, no amount of conversation made could yield a positive response if the US and NATO can't make a difference to end the menace, also the African countries should be careful in other not to suffer sanction as penalty for making such attempts from US.
1635  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Commercial banks to trade FOREX freely, is this a good sign for crypto trading? on: June 15, 2023, 04:38:32 PM
There should be more to expectations this new presidential era, this development in particular could actually help get a unanimous rate for the exchange rate of USD and also allows the commercial banks make these same exchange on a flat rate than having independent buying price from external sources, but i believe the government also will gave it own take home benefit from this because there will be many opportunities than reopened than before.
1636  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will bitcoin influence the next U.S election? on: June 15, 2023, 04:33:27 PM
Bitcoin is not going to be what will determine bthe fate of every participating political candidates for the US coming election, though some of the aspirants are on the look out for using the bitcoin avenue to increase their chances through the show of interest in its adoption know that the people really want this decentralized digital currency and it could be a boom to help widens their scope through making campaign manifestos, but we don't know how true could be be in the reality that if they eventually wins they will maintain their support.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any airdrop hunters here need some leads on: June 15, 2023, 04:24:31 PM
If you are intending to go for some airdrops, learn to understand the risk associated while some are nothing than pure scam, in the same vein some are reliable and you can really earn from, research on those in charge of the airdrops, have they participated in any successful airdrop before, check their goals if it's achievable, carry a background check on them before hunting after their rewards, but am pretty sure that we still have some that can be trusted.
1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion on Cardano on: June 15, 2023, 04:13:57 PM
I think Cardano has the most promising design. If it succeeds at scaling with input endorsers and hydra. Cardano probably has THE most user friendly staking protocol outside of maybe something like cosmos. I love how low barrier to entry and easy to use it is, plus it's a lot more secure than etherum. It will have a bright future.

Cardano had been in for a while now over some years and maybe before we can list the first twenty it may swindles it's way in and make the list, maybe i want to believe it's one of the most anticipated coins to make the new change before the end of this year by rising beyond they had expected, though there are alot of possibilities to choose this memecoin but the risk is also attached anyway for the main reason that altcoins can do and undo at anytime.
1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Archway Airdrop on: June 15, 2023, 04:08:16 PM
Airdrops are mostly promoted as fake. Here is a chart showing how many people will win this airdrop and how much money they will get.

There may be many fake airdrops online these days from some of the newly launched projects but i want to ascertain two facts to you here, first of all always considers the person promoting such airdrops and check their reputation because I've learnt that most of the promoters are people we aren't familiar with or their project they promote, @cryptoaddictchie is well recognized on the forum and has a good reputation which i know he wouldn't want to partake in anything that may tanish his image, he must also have trusted them before bringing them up to the forum, am not saying this to side him but to let you know that despite there's a lot going out there turning scam, we can still have the few to be trusted.
1640  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 15, 2023, 02:59:32 PM
I’ve said it plenty before and possibly even on this thread, but providing your personal information to anyone is never safe. This should be evident with all of the hacks that regularly occur. If you do have to provide your identity information, make sure it’s to someone reputable, but even then it could very possibly be hacked and stolen.
Yes, you are right, of course there is never a safe place because everything has the possibility of being hacked and stolen, even in various cases the identity that is stored by my country can still be stolen and hacked, especially casinos, even though casinos with a high reputation can also be trusted, but there is still a possibility of loopholes to be stolen or hacked, but still KYC is an absolute requirement for licensed casinos.

If the casino asks us as users to complete KYC before withdrawing money at the casino, of course we have to comply and provide our identity unless we don't want to do that, of course we have to be willing to lose our money at the casino, but if you want to be free from KYC, play with a decentralized casino. but I also think it's not necessarily safe. all return to their respective goals and at their own risk  Cheesy

You're all right, why would you provide your personal and private informations to someone and expect things to be alright when they gave those informations stored on their personal centralized system and they can make use of it anything we are less aware to tackle us, in this instance i will only made a suggestion that gambler should always go in for a casino that has no KYC requirements when they are gambling provided they are privacy consciouss.
