1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: April 12, 2023, 08:45:49 AM
I think people don't understand that there is no strategy in gambling. Gamble but consider your spendings on it as an entertainment expense. Got luck on your side and won? Good. If you don't you still had fun.

Gambling is never a parade of skills but literally it’s more on luck, and so even if you have the best strategies to gamble, that won’t guarantee profits as gambling is still mostly dependent on luck. However, if you have the luck and great working strategies altogether, I think profiting ahead is clear enough. But if you have strategies alone, that won’t make you easily profit in gambling. So gamble for fun, and not for profits.

Gambling isn't always just about luck, and it also entirely depends on what kind of gambling one's doing.  There are plenty of types of gambling games where skill is critical, and knowing what you're doing is 50% of the battle, making luck simply not enough.  Black Jack for example is in large part a game of skill.  I would argue the same for Poker. Of course there are games like roulette which are largely luck, but even that game requires skill.

Card games are really skill-based games because you can't just jump at the table and try to play the cards given to you because you don't know the rules and also because you don't have a strategy, unlike slots or roulette, where you can just sit and try to bet whatever you want and you'll try your luck if you win. As long as you can play the gambling games without prior experience or knowledge of them, they are luck-based games for me, but for those who have more complicated rules and strategies, they are skill-based games.
1622  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 12, 2023, 07:06:38 AM
I really don't understand how a credit card works. I mean, I lived in a 3rd world country, and those who have credit cards are only rich, and we poor people are not owning this one because it has high requirements. I know that you pay it later and that there is interest, but it doesn't make sense to me to pay it later if you can pay it now. like you are paying it at the end of the month with interest. I used my visa or debit card (not sure if that is what it was called but it swiped my card to something) to pay if I wanted to go cashless.
1623  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: April 12, 2023, 05:50:15 AM
We are lucky that I had a work-from-home job during the first year of the pandemic, so we did have a source of income, but the second year, I lost my job, which was also lucky because our government provides financial aid and food to us, and we survived until I found a job, but again, we went back to eating rice and only salt. But I always look for the bright side of things; right now, a lot of people went through a lot during that time, and we are just grateful to have a roof over our heads. Let's just move on from the past, as I know a lot of people got hurt talking about their struggle in the past.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much effort should one put into Bitcoin investments on: April 12, 2023, 04:56:14 AM
Depending on how much money you are willing to invest, you will not go bankrupt if you lose it all. This is really my principle, I don't invest or spend money that I am not comfortable with, like I'll go broke, and I don't invest in bitcoin all at once, like if I have this huge money I buy it with bitcoin, I would get a percentage of my salary and buy bitcoin until I could say it is enough because at first it is just a small value and I wouldn't be stressed at all because I don't spend my entire salary all at once.
1625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can owning 1 Bitcoin make you rich in 2023? on: April 12, 2023, 03:56:40 AM
I came to know about Bitcoin as everyone here did it was from my friend. I was living as usual a life controlled by the government and its banks. I was not angry about my life, still I had the anger to be someone who can succeed.

I had somewhat good childhood but I always saw my parents struggling to get those fiat. It did saddened me as I saw my parents living a routine life and still did not enjoy it.

Now I know why they were always struggling to get the ends meet. I do not.know whether anyone here can relate to the same experience of my parents

When I understood the true potential of Bitcoin. I joined this forum as I am not someone who can spare the money required to invest for 1BTC.

So, my question is can Bitcoin give a life that I dreamt as a child. Is it possible to gain financial freedom? What exactly does financial freedom means in context of Bitcoin?

# Please ignore my typo and spelling mistake.

Thanks!

It doesn't mean that you own 1 bitcoin and are rich because you still need to earn. I mean that 1 BTC will be gone if you just keep spending it; you should also earn it, and it is better that you earn than spend because it will accumulate over time. As long as you stay your wealth or your worth is 1btc then i would say that you achieved your dream that you are dreaming since child.  But right now, others purchase bitcoin to hold over the year, which they are looking to profit from and maximize the bitcoin.
1626  Economy / Economics / Re: Without government job we can survive on: April 12, 2023, 02:49:33 AM
Let us be realistic to ourselves, is good to extreme to wait for government to make provision of every in a country, sometimes when we graduate from higher colleges we expected government to create employment opportunities but in some points government keep adamant of making employment be visible and available to the mass,  on my instinct I said without government employment man can survive, I started a popcorn 🍿 business which I managed alone but right now have workers under me which I'm paying and now planning to establish another business.

having an idea or an idea is a way to defend yourself from dependence on the government, whether it's from work or social assistance from the government.
In my opinion, job opportunities from the government are very minimal to achieve one's financial freedom if he/she already has a family, but creating their own jobs is better in my opinion.
don't wait for the government to open jobs for you, but create your own jobs to survive.

Most also of the jobs provided by government is project based meaning after the project you are now unemployed though it takes more years and unending because there are a lot of projects for the government. They are just targeting those people that are hard time finding jobs unlike those college graduates that has an edge already. They priorities construction workers that is why it is better to make your own move than wait from them
1627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading is perfect work for jobless peoples on: April 11, 2023, 04:15:10 PM
In life there are many peoples wants freedom and this is available in day training and not any restrictions that whenever and wherever you want to doing work
If we thing about that are in enjoying with your family there you are also allow to work as well and also enjoy
Also freedom from your Boss.
Day trading isn't for everyone who only want to earn without mastering it and considering its risk. Keep in mind that in trading, you would be needing capital and you have to invest time and eagerness to learn everything about it because if you are jobless and want to make money from it without enough knowledge about it yet, you could probably lose more. It's for people who are mentally, emotionally, and financially prepared.

You will also feel pressured to earn or gain profit as you are jobless. I remember before when I lost my job, I wanted to like earn around $10 a day and that was my target, but I was just starting out, and because I am jobless, I pushed myself hard and learned it in just a couple of weeks, but the outcome was still useless, I couldn't still make my own strategy, I lost in the demo, and everything was chaotic. That is why learning to trade takes time and you should not quit. It is only good for jobless people if the trader is already averaging about $10 in profit per day.
1628  Economy / Economics / Re: Essentials to starting A business on: April 11, 2023, 02:00:59 PM
Starting a business is not a joke, we are always wanting to start a business but we only look for the brighter side and not how to start a business. We do have a business before an online store for kids wear and we just simply created this and not having those kinds of plans we just set up it and we have funding and we just figure it out on the way which at first it is really working profiting but after few months we got loss and we are not ready into it and turns out it closed. Planning is really the key and also you can find out the risk on your business and if it is worth to build
1629  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: April 11, 2023, 11:45:55 AM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.
to get something there must be something at stake, as you are experiencing right now, you spend a lot on school needs and various activities related to your education, but know that the knowledge you will get is worth it all.
and if you don't spend something you won't get anything.
I think education is important for the future and if we keep thinking about investing, it's not a solution because investing also has risks.

I would call it sacrifices because saving is keeping something that will benefit you in the future, though I've got your point it is some sort of investment for your future so that you can find a good job and earn money eventually, but if we are talking about saving as a student in terms of money it is really difficult but it doesn't mean you cant do it, you can save even just a small amount , keep cents or your coins in a piggy bank and open it in a year for sure you can buy a clothes on it
1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: April 11, 2023, 10:41:17 AM
I have joined many airdrops before but never received any payment. Even if I got some tokens from one of them, I could not sell them because the transaction fee is higher than the sale. I haven't joined airdrop for a long time after that. But recently I joined Arbitrum airdrop because there was a lot of publicity about it on social media.
By the time the hype starts and gets high enough you are too late. You join arbitrum because of the people who get airdrop from arbitrum. Those who joined at the beginning long enough to wait for the moment. You have to arrive early for other projects, do research and check every social media. If you don't get anything from the airdrop, then change your strategy. do airdrops that have been recommended, and don't work on projects that have been abandoned and don't have much interest.

Airdrops right now are not the same as before, where you could get it in a week without any requirements or just sign up on their whitelist or just follow simple steps to join their airdrop and after a week you'd receive the token and be listed on exchange. That arbitrum A lot of my friends got that airdrop because they transacted on it, which I haven't done. The airdrop hype again because of arbitrum, but again, that is just a lucky one because most of the airdrop just died or a scam.
1631  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: April 11, 2023, 08:59:45 AM
I don't understand why things are so unspeakably hard to people. I couldn't hard a good feelings for some days after thinking of what must have trans-led this suffering of financial hardship in societies. Money is rare this days, am going through a lot but I just hope things well and better soon. Is not really funny here.

My children are at home chase from school, I could not pay fees again. What could be the cause of scarcity of cash?

Don't find any means of saying money is hard to get, if you're experiencing a financial hardships doesn't mean the same is applicable to others, everyone has one or two means whereby they earn a living from, try and think on providing yourself with alternatives to financial income level, if it takes you quitting your job to get another, or if you can device more additional means to have income through service provisions, you must not just watch and sit looking at things going the unexpected way.
All the side hussle I started has not given me enough return
It is only bill payment and nothing in return - no saving at all

It is still helping you, and you should be thankful you have that one because others are very eager to have one but they cannot find one. Just imagine: without your side hustle, can you still pay your bills? But you are sacrificing things; unlike when you have earnings from a side hustle, you can buy extra stuff that you couldn't afford without it. Even for myself, I am thankful that I do have a side hustle since it can make us survive for a month while waiting for our salary.

I think you are referring to financial support in your business. I am not sure what country you are coming from but before the pandemic hit there were a lot of jobs in our country and also the employment rate was low, unlike now that the employment rate is high because of the recent pandemic. They really created jobs, but you just didn't notice because you were busy looking at those jobs that had high salaries because here in our country, the government has projects like road and building projects, which means it also generates employment just to fight the high unemployment rate.
1633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in times of danger. on: April 11, 2023, 04:32:13 AM
Bitcoin was made for transactions; it is just that when the price goes up, as it has in recent years, other people hold it as an investment. There is nothing wrong with what you've done; it helps you a lot. Just imagine if you hadn't hoarded bitcoin over the years: what would you be spending right now? How would you get that much money? You shouldn't regret it because you sold it on purpose. Try to accumulate again in the next few months when you are financially able.
1634  Economy / Gambling / Re: Limited in every bookmaker on: April 11, 2023, 03:30:13 AM
Are you sure you'll be asking someone to bet on your behalf? This is suspicious because it involves contacting you into something; why not explain what you intend to do in the thread? For sure, you'll not bait anyone here, as most of us here in the forum are very cautious (I hope no one). But being limited to every bookmaker, did you try to sort it out? I mean, do you know the root cause? For sure, you've done something that breaks their terms, which is why you keep getting banned.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: April 11, 2023, 02:38:34 AM
When you are really that in a rush on playing on a certain site because it does look interesting or something that makes you curious then it wont really be bad on depositing some small amounts for the sake
testing out the site first and never ever having that kind of behavior on depositing huge sums because it is something not that recommendable, unless if you do see that the site is fully that can be trusted
then it would be your choice on what you should gonna do.Just be sure that everything went smooth and do really looks legit on the first place and doesnt able to see some red flags along the way.
It depends on the temperament of each person, if I lose a small amount of money while gambling I do not think too much about it as this is natural, however if I were to gamble at a new casino and I made a small deposit and eventually I was scammed I will be definitely mad about it.

On both cases I would lose a small amount but the way I lose it would completely different, so even if we do not plan to make a huge deposit in the wallet of a new casino we are testing out, we must still do our due diligence so we can avoid being scammed.

It is completely different because even if you lose a small amount of money gambling, you still play with it, meaning you still feel it, unlike getting scammed, where you just give it to them; you deposit it for nothing. Even I would be angry if the casino scammed me; they are just heartless people getting money from other gamblers. It is really not about the money you spend or deposit; it is about how it comes through.
1636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if they tried it on: April 11, 2023, 01:51:00 AM
That's difficult. I mean, how will they do it? It is not the same with gold in that they can see it physically, and they only got the gold that was known to be huge that they'd found. In crypto, for sure, it would be difficult because they couldn't just go to your house and get your crypto; they didn't have the key to access it. So it is impossible to do it.
1637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take good care of yourselves on: April 10, 2023, 04:08:50 PM
It hit me pretty hard right now. I mean, while reading this, I was really struck by this, not in bitcoin but in my work-life balance. I mean, it is very stressful, we don't have leaves, and even on holidays we still continue working. I will be taking an emergency leave tomorrow just to relax and try to recover from my stress. This is a good reminder to those who keep grinding just to earn bitcoin (i am also one of those as having is 1 year away), so we should have time for ourselves like have a drink and have fun! I am just glad that I have this kind of behavior, like having celebrations every month, but when it comes to work, I would not be taking a leave because my job is my life.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Times When Casinos Will Ask Certificate That You Are A Responsible Gambler on: April 10, 2023, 01:17:11 PM
Its kind of it needs a lot of effort to an gambler to get this so that they can play I mean it is good because it can make a gambler quit but this also lead to a lot of gamblers will quit meaning there are only few gamblers will gamble which also lead to low income to casino and their taxes would be lower also. What is really best is to strict the feature in casino like preventing them to spend more it is like responsible gambling but it is more stricter and with the AI right now it can help also analyze those problematic gamblers.
1639  Economy / Economics / Re: Is some certain lifestyle a waste of money and time ? on: April 10, 2023, 11:55:46 AM

Here is what happens to my friends and me and I am sure this is a reflection on different financial values and life attitude in general. Well, I don't drink any alchohol while a few friends of mine love drinking very much. They would gather to have dinner/drink almost every day(at least four times a week). I am often invited but due to my no-drinking habit, I usually turn the invitation down. We are all family men but they are a few years older than me. Their children are much older than my kid so probably they don't need their fathers' attention and time. I always put my family first so this is also one of the reasons I don't join them that frequently. Financially, every gathering meal/drinking is not cheap because it involves a lot of drinks and dishes. The average cost of such dinner/drinking is equivalent to 1/5 the average monthly income in the city where we live. So every month, the cost for these "gatherings" consumes all the income that a man can earn for months. This is considered a huge waste of money in many people's eyes cause most people don't earn much. Although I don't drink, occasionally I will treat them and pay the bills for the guesture of friendliness. Do you think my friends' lifestyle is a waste of money and time ? How much do you spend on such gatherings on average ? Please let me know.
Just as alcoholism is harmful to our human body, it also harms us financially.  It's a waste of money.  Although addicts enjoy drinking alcohol a lot, they don't know how much harm they are doing to their human body and financially. If your friend is drinking 5/6 days a week, he is slowly driving himself to death.  And he will face many problems financially in future due to unnecessary spending. Alcoholism is a bad addiction like gambling where once addicted one cannot quit very easily

Vices really affect your health as well as your money. Whether you are smoking or vaping, you are spending a lot of money. I do have an older coworker. He is telling me that he smokes 2 packs of cigarettes per day, which is $4 per day, for a total of $120 a month. He says that if he quits smoking when he is still young, he will be able to build a house and a car. He also drinks on a weekly basis, but I do drink too, like twice or three times a month, just to chill, but I don't spend a lot on it and treat it as a reward as I've known that I've overcome the stress over the month, but again, if you drink on a daily basis, that is not good.
1640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is how i researched about bitcoin. on: April 10, 2023, 10:23:30 AM
The first thing that came to mind was whether you still have it today. You get profit, right? I mean, you lose that time because you sell it off early, and you just think that you can earn profit easily, like in a few days, but you are wrong about that time. Now, what do you think about the price right now? For sure you regret it and all of us, I mean it happened also to me way back in 2016 when I bought and sold it at a loss, which compared with the price right now is a very huge loss.
