If you read my post carefully, you will realize that this offer was not required.
1642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any tricks available in gambling to won the bet? on: February 09, 2018, 08:50:23 AM
I have the same opinion in this regard as you are having. Gambling doesn’t involves any tricks in it as it is a matter of pure luck and no one knows who is going to win the game. Just the one who will be luckier than the opponent will be the winner.
Even if you win two or three games in gambling by playing different tricks, it works but the fourth game you will be losing as luck is has more importance than tricks.

I disagree, there are always some tricks provided you have the attitude to learn. For instance, in  a bingo game, you should try to sit close to the caller. This will ensure that you get all the information before other members. However, these tricks require a lot of practice, that is how experts in gambling have evolved.
1643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling ends on: February 09, 2018, 08:46:48 AM
Gambling will always be there as long as greed is in your mind. Its hard to control it because everything is possible with greed. No one can end gambling, its only depend on people when to stop. Control your emotion to prevent yourself from being greed, always think for the best.

I think with time a gambler realizes that it is not possible to get guaranteed returns with gambling. Most of the money is lost is initial stage when a person is introduced to gambling. That is why I suggest a person to start with small amounts only for few months.
1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you save money while playing gambling games? on: February 09, 2018, 08:44:39 AM
If you win, I always prefer putting it that you see it as gambling money anyway. I have seen people, who win once, then they come back expecting the same thing to happen and that which they won, they gradually keep losing it bit by bit until they lose it all and start dipping hands in their savings.

When that moment comes, you won't even know unless you just control that impulse and speak to yourself immediately. The final thing is that forget about saving when it comes to gambling, best is to just allocate certain money for it and never go past that as you have a huge chance of losing it anyway.

I use a similar approach because of two reasons.

1) I do not have the time to spend too much time on gambling. I know I can increase my chances of winning if I try to observe the approach of successful gamblers but it will take a lot of time.

2) I play mostly for the thrill associated with gambling. I have other reliable ways to make money.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: February 09, 2018, 08:41:31 AM
Lol. They may have a strong bond but dry bank accounts. Imagine how hard it will be for example if they had kids and they're both in a casino shredding away money that can be used for their family. It probably is okay if they don't have any kids yet but still, no one will try to restrain the other because both of them have the same outlook towards gambling.

You made a god point there. It made me rethink something about marriage. Both partners should be actually in different profession so that if the demand of one of the profession declines, other person can make up. Regarding spending the money for household expenses on gambling, that is really a bad idea. People not able to control the erge to spend huge amount of money in gambling should remain single.

One of my friends who was an employee at a leading card games website told me that they have own employees playing the games with normal members. Those employees are able to see all cards and they win most of the games (especially those with higher prize money). I checked the website and it was one of the most popular card games website in India. I am still not sure if that friend was right or not.
1647  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is swag - merit is life. on: February 09, 2018, 08:29:40 AM
Hello.

I see a lot of people complaining about how the merit has stopped rank progression completely, and therefore ruining lives. But let me tell you a story.

Three weeks ago, when I had never heard of merits, I was what you call a Jr. Member. I spent all day switching between nitpicking and joggling my testicles between my fingers in order to sort out what was testicles, what was prick, and what was nit. I wasn't the brightest of all people, or at least that is what my wife told me.

However, a thing called merit got introduced. In the following two and a half weeks my intelligence and post quality enhanced exponentially, and the pace in which I received merits got out of hand. First I became a member. I got laid (by my wife). Then I got laid again (by my wife).
Now the track "Started From The Bottom", by Drake, is running on repeat on my Spotify.

Point is.. this happened in two and a half weeks. Imagine where i'll be in half a year. You can be there too. (not with my wife tho)

Make the best of it.

Nice that you got the merits required to reach the member level. This post however is a shit post and makes me doubt the merits you got. I checked the posts you got merits for and they are good. Something does not click for me here. Will be nice to here opinion of other members here.
1648  Other / Meta / Re: Disadvantage of merit system----- on: February 09, 2018, 08:26:21 AM
I appreciate merit system which really helps good posting. But many of my friends said that due to this merit system the got stuck in a fixed rank that is they had no merit though their posts are good. Not only that I think many new members have to wait for almost 3 month for becoming member. What you people think about the bad side of merit system?

I have seen Jr Members who became members by gaining 10 merits in a week after the merit system was introduced. There was a guy who is going to reach 100 merit points soon. So, there are new members who are doing well even after the new merit system. If your friends are here for signature campaigns, they will not be able to compete with such profiles as participants anyway.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: February 09, 2018, 08:23:53 AM
Luckily for me gambling is now a past thing I used be a passive gambler and always tried my very best to control but as always it seemed impossible , finally I decided to stop gambling but blocking most the gambling sites for few weeks
Now I don't want to earn a single penny from gambling

I am also on the same boat. When I started with gambling, I used to visit those websites daily. I realized that it was affecting my work very much and thus controlled this. Now I play occasionally depending on how much free time I have.
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do all Vietnamese people play Dice/Gambling? on: February 09, 2018, 08:22:24 AM
See certain trends might be common among the people of a particular locality. It is mainly because of people spreading the information regarding these activities to each other. Suppose, you work in a office and most of your colleagues talk about their gambling experiences in free time. Will you not also be tempted to play the game yourself ?
1651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your first betting? on: February 09, 2018, 08:19:13 AM
My first bet as in for money or just for fun? Wink

If it was for fun then I would say it would of have been on who could make it to the pool first and then dive in to show who the winner is. Grin

For money it would be when I was 17 years old and bought a lottery ticket.
If that is even considered betting since you are drawn the numbers so that is out of your control who the winner is. Smiley

I started with playing free card games on internet. They used to have special tournaments for new members. Soon I got addicted to it and started playing with real money. I lost a lot of money and realized that they might be cheating. I play on that site today also but only in free tournaments.
1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Poker site ? on: February 09, 2018, 08:17:38 AM
Hello, i am looking some good poker site with btc.
I need site without verification and with many players.
Can anyone give me good site(can be with ref).

Here are some of the good websites that allow playing with BTC in no particular order:

1) Nitrogen Poker

2) Bits Poker

3) Betcoin poker

Among these, Betcoin poker is my favorite as they have lot of games. Minimum BTC deposit there is 0.01 BTC.

Hi, new token, so gamble category fits best Smiley

working on a token, not ready to share any details yet, but I figured will put a call out see if can get some donations towards contract deployment fees and such.  In return for support, the early sponsors (if any Smiley of course) will be granted voting tokens on the next contract (yes that one is also only in development stages Smiley), and some tokens, of course, for this primal (and rare) release

thank you

You do not want to give any details about the thing you are working on and want to help. Things do not work this way. People donate to projects/services which they think are useful for the society. And posting vague figures like you will get "some" tokens shows how professional you are.
1654  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 09, 2018, 08:11:22 AM
Was any consideration given to providing small amounts of sMerit to Newbie and Jr. Member Ranks?  In this way, those most in need of help and guidance could say thanks (give Merit) to those who assist them.

This would also instil the concept of giving Merit to helpful posts right from the outset for the newest members of the forum.

There is downside of giving some sMerits to newbies. Suppose 1 smerit is given for a newbie account. A lot of new accounts will be registered to abuse this. For instance, someone wil make 10-15 such accounts and give merits to main profile to gain member rank. Also, they get additional sMerits in the main account which can be further abused. It is better the current way.

‘Nightmare’: Bitcoin enthusiasts react to digital currency’s tumble

Sentiment among bitcoin enthusiasts on online message boards has turned from broadly bullish to wary overnight as prices have dropped deep into a bear market, hours after shares in a drinks maker rocketed 500 per cent after it inserted ‘blockchain’ into its name
Bitcoin keeps on going down but I hope it will recover soon. This is a worst nightmare. Maybe before we know it, it set new all-time high.

You posted this in wrong section. Meta section is for discussions related to this forum bitcointalk.org. Please post in appropriate sections so that we have an organized system here.

1657  Other / Meta / Re: Merit giveaway for Jr Members and newbies on: February 08, 2018, 07:51:37 AM
10 merit to reach Member rank. It's seem impossible. I think each member will receive a certain amount of merit every month according to rank is more reasonable.
My example:
Jr. Member receive 1 merit
Member - 2 merit
Full member - 4 merit
Sr. Member - 8 merit
Hero Member - 16 merit
Everyone can give sMerit and receive more Merit.

Please give your valuable suggestions in the official thread. This is not the right place to do this.

Among all the above applicants, none qualify. All of you guys need to work harder. I found one person copying and will report him.
1658  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 08, 2018, 07:26:14 AM
Well, after seeing your post (the quoted one) with all the merit, it looks like, the more merit you have, the more likely you are to get some from peaople...

That is an exception. Consider it as a reward for a member making a quick witty reply to an announcement from the admin.
1659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The nocoiner. on: February 08, 2018, 07:18:54 AM
I have no issue with these Nocoiner as long as they are not trying to hamper the image of Bitcoins. With so much negativity especially from infuential profiles, prices do get affected negatively. These people do not understand that a lot of people have invested their hard earned money in Bitcoins and fake rumors can result in huge loss for them.
1660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Media is negative about Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2018, 07:07:22 AM
Whenever a government announces to regulate bitcoin or cryptocurrency or whenever BTC price is in downfall, most of the media start to warn everyone not purchase or invest in Bitcoins.
https://www.bitex.in/a-class-of-indian-media-unnecessarily-damaging-bitcoin-reputation/

What is the reason for doing this? Do they intentionally do this so that even they can invest in Bitcoin and make some profit?

There had been a number of online scam which run away with investors money. Seeing the huge returns involved with Bitcoins, it also looks suspicious to many. As a result, media tries to make people aware about Bitcoins as well. Only thing is that they need to do more research before coming up with the news as it affects the prices.
