1421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: Culture on: March 19, 2018, 04:46:55 PM
Previously though not illegal, gambling was severely frowned upon the society in my country but right now, People really don't care and almost everyone is currently gambling from kids even to the old people because people have realized that money is more important than culture.

This does not hold true in my country. People give more value to culture than money here and you can easily notice the difference if you have seen both cases. I am not judging anyone with different approach but this has a lot of benefits in my opinion for people in my country. Current youth might be having different opinion and we can see them becoming more materialistic in future.
1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play online casino? if Yes... on: March 19, 2018, 04:44:35 PM
Traditional offline casino are accessible only for middle incom to high class and socialite people but foran avarege person like me it is so discriminating to play on tradition on-site casino that's why online casino has open the door of opportunity to an average level of society with no discrimination at all.

The city where I live has no licensed offline casino. There are some casinos operating without license here but playing there is very risky. If some police raid occurs with you being there, you can be arrested as well. This is why online casino is the only option for me. I do try offline casinos when I am in another city.
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for advice rolling with 100k sat balance.. on: March 19, 2018, 04:43:05 PM
.. wondering whats the best site to play with this balance.. or do i just need to add more to it just to be safe?
I recommend to you to exchange 100k satoshi in dodge coin and play dice game in fortunejack. You will generate huge amount of dodge and i see that having huge amount of capital is much lesser the risk you have in rolling dice but dont be too greedy like what they said there is no safe way on playing in gambling.

More capital = less risk? How could you say that? Logically the risk is always equal no matter how much your capital is. It is also not good to exchange his btc to doge first, unless his btc is on an exchange site already. He can just send the btc from his wallet to any sites as current tx fee is cheap.

Better to choose a site with low minimum deposit and low minimum withdrawal or even with no withdrawal fees. So it wont affect his small winning (if he win).

More balance= less risk is based on theory that you put the bet on same number with equivalent small amounts. Since, you are using a large amount, it increases the number of attempts and thus the probability of winning increases. I suggest one should try these tricks on free websites or with very low amounts and then apply them on bitcoin gambling websites.
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The way to win in gambling on: March 19, 2018, 04:41:20 PM
Lol are you some psychological student this isn't how gambling works no one gambles to lose every single gambler think positive thinks like how he would be able to spend his winnings how his life will change and when anyone lose negativity will show up automatically and finally they get so angry that they lose everything
Ask someone who has gamble how it feels

These are usually the people with over confidence. Confidence is good everywhere and its enhances your performance even in games. But when you start being overconfident, you become lazy, do not play attention to the rules and  consider your opponents as weak. One of the best ways to increase your winning chances is by being alert.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why kyc is even required? on: March 19, 2018, 04:38:44 PM
Most casinos like fortunejack require kyc if you win a huge amount some sportsbook also ask for kyc
Why is this even necessary bitcoin gambling exist so that we can gamble anonymously and not pay any tax on our winnings or hide our identify if we win a huge amount then why do many sites still ask for kyc
Is it even fair?

I can tell you about my country. Here they are asking for KYC in accordance with the tax laws. If those sites will not follow this, the government may shut down their website completely. Same applies to bitcoin exchanges in my country. Even if you are buying bitcoins worth $10, you have first get KYC verified in the exchange. Having the KYC of all players ensures that no player is able to evade taxes for large winnings.
1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To quit gambling is to quit yourself on: March 19, 2018, 04:36:32 PM
Guys, I know that many of you have already discussed this issue regarding quitting gambling as it is addictive, and I know that this thread is just like any other one. But forgive me because I am really sick of seeing people committing suicide because they are in big debts. I would like to speak my mind.

So, guys. Quitting gambling has to be done by quitting yourself. What I mean by that statement is that you should no longer be yourself or what you are. You are now a man of greed and addiction. Who was the person you were before you start gambling? Perhaps you were addicted to something else. Perhaps you were just a normal man living a normal life. Now you are a different person. What I want you to do is that you should be aware that gambling too much will make you lose yourself. Second off, you should sit with yourself and write down the negative effects of gambling. Do not be like "What if I win next time, what if I get lucky next time." No, that is not you who is talking but your greed. Do not give yourself false hopes because "What if" is a term used to talk about unreal action in the past or the future. You can neither change the past nor be accurate about what future will be like.

Then you should practice positive self-talk. Fill yourself with positiveness. Have a strong willpower and determination because believe me, once you are committed to something, you will attain it. If you want to give up gambling, then you can do it because other people and I gave it up.
I used to gamble a lot with my friends and I would be lying if I said I did not learn many things. But the negative effects overcame the positive ones. I took a decision to stop gambling. I filled my time with various activities. In time, I started to forget about gambling. It is like moving on. If you want to move on, get yourself from the routine you used to be in. Your brain is functioned about a certain routine. You will find it hard to adapt to the new routine, but believe me, in time you will get used to it.

I hope you guys achieve what you aspire. And I hope this thread will help you, even though I am sure I am going to get negative feedback. But it is okay, I am open to everything. Have a lovely day, Hadoooken!

I have myself been addicted to online gambling in the past to some extent. It happened mainly because I had nothing to do and also I was very new to this. I was very much impressed by gambling in the beginning and failed to draw my lines. Now, I keep myself busy with lot of work and thus all the addiction has faded away. Regarding people doing suciicde because of debt, it happens mainly because the person thinks that there is no one who will support him.
1427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: March 19, 2018, 04:33:39 PM
When gambling becomes someone's main hobby, of course he would not like to play other games that has no element of gambling directly and vice versa. Beside that, gambling gives a chance to get fast money that won't available at games online.

I've had online games as my main hobby as well as having gambling as my main hobby. Can't say I prefer either one over the other but gaming always brings me back considering I love it so damn much. Gambling has almost always been about money and sometimes you just get real sick about it if you are on a losing streak or whatever.

I do not like online games much as they require very good internet connection which I most of the time do not have. Here, even after making huge monthly payment, you get internet with daily limits and it can get consumed in playing heavy multiplayer online games. In case of gambling, the websites are light and do not consume that much internet.
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does positive thinking affect your edge in gambling on: March 19, 2018, 04:32:09 PM
Honestly this thinking postively is a psychological thing. You will always see things differently and find its goodness once you are thingking positive. When it comes to gambling I agree with you that it is all about luck and for me if you think postive, whether you win or lose, things will still be good in your eyes.
Sorry but that story of yours is only touching to the heart but let us face reality here, there is no positive thinking that can help you in gambling.

It is easy for everyone to think positively and if we are really to talk about high level of positive thinking, I should have won all my lotteries at least once on freebitco.in by now. Grin Jokes apart though, it does not work, just do your thing, expect to get lucky and if you do not, count it as part of the game but setting your hopes too high because of positive thinking, you will end up dipping yourself inside a hot pot of soup.

Positive thinking is like extra energy that will give us confidence when playing games. But as most people says, it will not give us the guarantee to always win in gambling. With positive thinking at least we will know what we should do and what not.

I agree to this, positive think certainly boosts the confidence and energy levels and thus improves the performance in all games including gambling. By reading the this thread, I remember the day when I was playing a card game online. I made two consecutive predictions in presence of two friends that it will be wrong show and it really happened. I clearly assumed it to be true before making the prediction. These things are hard to believe till you experience on your own.
1429  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen to bitcoin in 2018? on: March 18, 2018, 06:50:47 AM
Bitcoin has been hot, but many bosses think it is a big bubble. If you want to ask how the red currency will fare in 2018, some of the weaker bitcoin institutions think it won't be long, and prices will fall in 2018. The famously bold bank of Denmark has made a startling prediction: it will be back in its original form after it has shot up to $60,000, falling back to $1,000.

Deutsche bank has previously said the bitcoin crash would be one of the major risks of 2018. Ahead of the launch of bitcoin futures, deutsche bank warned that the bitcoin boom could pose a serious threat to the broader market in 2018.

I do not think that the bitcoin prices will go to $1000 level again. IF it just goes to $5000 or so, a lot of big whales will start investing again as those prices will be really tempting. This will again push the prices back to levels like $20000. However, I am holding for 4-5 years and thus I am not affected by predictions being made for bitcoin performance in 2018.
1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why is now the bitcoin into the negative spotlight on: March 18, 2018, 06:48:32 AM
Lots of news about bitcoin today, when the price is soaring, the negative spotlight is told why it's happening right now, do you know the answer? honest i am sad this time bitcoin is a source of income for various circles  Angry

There can be a number of reasons behind the negative spotlight on bitcoins:

1) People losing money: A lot of people who invested money at $20000 level are now in huge loss. They might be sharing their experiences with friends and this is creating a bad impressions about bitcoins in potential investors.

2) Alt coins: Another reason can be alt coin developers posting negative news about bitcoins so that people withdraw their bitcoin investment and invest in their alt coins.
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why bitcoin is falling Down! on: March 18, 2018, 06:39:49 AM
We have noticed that the value of bitcoin is depreciating this few weeks and over 60 billion dollars have been wiped out in the value of cryptocurrency due the slide of bitcoins value. So what are the possible factors that contributed to the downfall of bitcoins value recently, here are some reasons according to this article; https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/15/bitcoin-price-over-60-billion-wiped-off-value-of-cryptocurrencies.html

1. Google's announcement of banning cryptocurrency related ads
2. Large selling of BTC by MT. Gox

I actually agree to the article that these two are the main culprit on the downfall of bitcoins value. Let us wait and see if bitcoin can overcome such hurdles this coming months.

Google announcement of banning crypto related ads is really a  big news. If they really implement this in April, we will see a huge drop in prices and a lot of alt coins will suffer huge loss. Some may not be able to survive if they do not find other good places to advertise and gain more investors. Another news that might have affected the price is the recent hack that occurred in Binance. Many of the users of that exchange must have withdrawn their money because of this.
1432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opinion on BTC price on: March 18, 2018, 06:24:33 AM
I know im not alone but im a little worried about the btc price decrease. Im still gonna keep holding but im wondering what everyone is thinking about this and whether a price jump is possible to the near future.

If you are able to hold for 6 months or more, you will get decent returns for sure. One thing I would like to add regarding future investment. If you are thinking about investing more money, you can wait till April. There is a news circulating everywhere that Google may ban crypto advertisements. If this happens prices will drop a lot and you can get more bitcoins for same amount at those price levels.
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems to be bouncing back up on: March 18, 2018, 06:22:37 AM
I think bitcoins price might be hard to reach this year. There are a lot of coins now that offers lots of functionality and investors are grabbing into that. The market capitalization is diversified by lots of tokens.
They are thinking that someday other coins might get them rich. So they are most likely to invest in other coins and wait for a year then sell.
They took a much better way to get rich I guess.

The current investors have indeed realized that there is more profit in case of alt coins. For instance, Ripple is currently about $0.8. Even in the worst case scenario , it will be $4-5 by the need of this year. This means that you can get 5 times of your investment by putting your money in Ripple. To achieve this with bitcoins, its prices should go from $10000 to $50000 which seems really unlikely.
1434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big fall on: March 18, 2018, 06:20:39 AM
Is this big fall can't rise up again?
Does bitcoin rise up again after this big fall or continue to fall and die?
Why bitcoin price shrink, anyone controls the price of bitcoin?

Bitcoin price is affected by the news related to bitcoins. For instance, if there is a negative news like a major exchange getting hacked, it will cause the prices to go down. A similar incident happened in case of Binance (which is one of the most popular exchange) and this may have caused the prices to fall. Another reason is that big whales have withdrawn all their money from bitcoins at $20000 levels and now investing in alt coins.
1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 person can cause a huge rally? on: March 18, 2018, 06:10:33 AM
I do not think that one person will be able to manipulate prices alone. Especially at the current price level of bitcoins, this does not seem to be possible unless someone is holding more than 5-105 of total coins. Any such person will not sell all his coins just to manipulate the prices. Also, I think the developers must be holding a number of coins and they must be acting behind the scenes to control this manipulations.
1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finding Crisis.. on: March 18, 2018, 05:21:51 AM
I have seen a video that indicates that rich people often waits for a wonderful time of crisis because that is the time that they could buy a lot of quantity, basically because they are always playing for the long run. What do you think?

I will not that they are rich people. Those are just experienced investors, they are aware about how the majority will behave in different situation and thus they make good use of this knowledge. It is obvious that most of the new investors will be taking their buying/selling decisions based on emotions and they do not do analysis of past stats and future projections.
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Is The Rich Bitcoinist? on: March 18, 2018, 05:10:46 AM
after satoshi who is the richest bitcoinist?`

First of all no one knows that how many bitcoins satoshi has so it will be wrong to call him the richest bitcoinist. Also, I do not think he is holding his coins just for money, he must be having them in order to support the prices in case some drastic crash happens. Regarding other people having highest amount of bitcoins, this is something no wise person should declare. We already heard of a case where robbers went to a house and then forced the owner to transfer all his bitcoins to their wallet.
1438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin win? on: March 18, 2018, 05:06:13 AM
Similar to what Gandhi said
At first, they ignored the Bitcoin, then ridiculed him for "how a digital coin does not have a physical presence" to be a substitute for paper currency and a system called the Blockchain, an alternative not only to the banks but to the entire institutions, then they fought him and tried to cast suspicion in the ranks of those who pursued him To 20 thousand dollars in less than ten years from the way he described the bubble and the closing of the trading platforms and then enter the market and try to control it as it is now.
Now only victory ...

You are right, a lot of people have ridicule bitcoins giving a number of reasons. It has proved all of them wring ad given more than 10000% returns in an year. I am sure that those people who were making fun of bitcoins must be regretting their decision now. They might be investing some money in bitcoins hoping to make some decent returns.
1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining a bitcoin costs about as much as buying one these days on: March 17, 2018, 11:46:34 AM
Bitcoin's profitability wasn’t a problem when the cryptocurrency was heading “to the Moon,” as enthusiasts were fond of putting it, but since late last year, Bitcoin has largely been heading in the other direction.
Calculating mining costs is not so hard, the cost of the computers themselves, as the mathematical problems get progressively harder over time, miners need to keep upgrading their rigs, another issue is energy, making loads of incorrect guesses uses a lot of it. And then there’s cooling ... all that energy use throws off a lot of heat.
The current break-even point for Bitcoin mining is $8,038.
That said, whether or not mining still makes sense, depends a lot on where you are.
And let's not forget that Bitcoin is terrible for the environment.

You should not forget the fact that a lot of setups had already recovered the initial investment mad. I agree that there are still some regular expenses like electricity bills but they will always in profit once the setup costs is invested. I am not involved with bitcoin mining yet but it is way more profitable in trading in long term. You should think about the future prices of coins being generated instead of calculating returns based on current cost.
1440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do many people who do not understand Bitcoin deface and attack Bitcoin? on: March 17, 2018, 11:35:47 AM
Why do so many people do not even understand the basic principles of Bitcoin and blockchain knowledge, and there is enough courage to smash and attack? What is this mental state? To discuss this common phenomenon and psychological activity analysis.

These are the people who cannot take the risk of investing in bitcoins and jealous of people who took the risk and made good profits. You will find this people judging all types of investments like shares and stocks. They call shares also as gambling but the reality is that they themselves want to invest and earn with them but do not have the required courage.
