1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 13, 2023, 10:32:56 AM
At the moment,  is becoming clear that Manchester City will still take the trophy in that season and the reason being that,  the club have been on a run up in all measure matches since the last 9games and that to a large extent is going to tell have the club performance is going to be in the next few matches to come,  this is what we have to look out for in whatever discussion we have and at whatever time.

Even though there have been a few pockets of decline in performance in the last few days,  it still seems that Manchester still maintains the most formidable team and also can deliver at each of their matches.

Manchester City may be your favorite club but they are not exactly invisible this season like they were before. This is the champions league we are talking about, it’s not a farmers league. I think it is still early to call Manchester City favorites to win the trophy because there are other top teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich who also record one hundred percent success rate in the champions league.
This will not be business as usual for Manchester City in this season,  although Manchester City has done extremely well in the last few seasons and that is something that we have to commend them for,  because os not easy for a club to sustain and maintained an steady winning across all leagues for multiple seasons just like Manchester city did in the last two seasons.

But this time,  things have changed,  and Manchester City may be going in for a long period of head-tight confrontation with some of the other stronger teams who may have suffered set back in the last few seasons to warrant Manchester City's success in those past seasons,  but at this point, those clubs have recovered and there are really good and ready to take Manchester city head on and possibly dropping them out of the award in this season in all things being equal for those clubs.

Manchester City won the Champions League title in the last season and obviously, that's a good reason to say they are the favorite team for the tournament even during this the season but the fact about Manchester City and Pep Guardiola is they lost some power. Manchester City sold some players and they couldn't spend money and buy better players like other teams did during the summer and that's why I think other teams like Bayern Munich will have more chance of this.

Manchester City is no doubt the champion and at the same time the title holder so for that,  their still have the better chances of finishing the season in a strong fit,  more also we have to take into account their  inabality to make a right replacement for the those players that left the club during the last transfer market.

Manchester City should have made adequate plans to have a suitable replacement before letting their talented players off the huck from the club at least they should have learned from other clubs' experiences who have taken similar steps and failed in the past.
1662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 13, 2023, 08:48:12 AM
1. In one word it's all about privacy.  None want to share their personal detail online.
2. People who come to play from a country where gambling is highly prohibited. So they of course don't want to show their personal details to someone that can create a serious problem for him.
3. The benefits you added to your list, people want to bypass all of them without doing KYC Smiley
I agree with you on the need for privacy in the gambling industry or any online platform that allow us to use cryptocurrencies which,  whose main aim is to give it user privacy and freedom in their online activities,  this is what makes up for whatever becomes of the frame up of the mind to either hand out their personal details and documents on some of the online site that there has less trust on.

But then also we have to look at KYC and what are its possibilities to our contemporary online life ranging from centralized exchanges and other financial services providers that cryptocurrencies users may not be able to do without,  but need to comply with regulations,  this makes KYC in some cases an unavoidable evil that we need to face.

Was this a flex?  Cheesy

Yes this is a big flex mate and I don't believe that that member truly lost such an exorbitant amount on stake just 2 weeks ago,  this should probably be a make-up story and figure because that figure is too high,  $200,000 in a go as a lost is such a huge amount for anyone but I know is not impossible but in this case I can see a clear impossibility in the event unless if the member decide to share some more evidence to support this claims.
To be honest, I also don't really believe it if there is no really accurate evidence that OP says $200,000 is a really big amount of money in my local money, spending $200,000 on gambling if you are not a really rich person it will definitely make you was frustrated that
I even losing around $300 made me regret it for the rest of my life and I will never repeat such excessive gambling activities again. Maybe this amount doesn't mean much to someone who can afford it, but for me it is something that is very suffocating.
as you said, there is a lot of impossibility when someone spends so much money in just 1 session, is he really risking such a large amount so that it just runs out, even people who are addicted to gambling don't seem to spend their money in 1 session (IMO).
Well, I will not blame the guy that much, the reason being that the thread title alone gave room for that to happen since there is nowhere in the ops that he mentioned that comment should be supported with some level of evidence,  so due to that loophole a lot of members may give an exaggerated amount as their total loses for the time in speculation,  so that guy may have been motivated to have given such figure as his total loses but in reality that amount did not exist.

Although the main aim of the thread is already achieved which is to make us make some statement on how much have been the highest lose this season,  this will help us to compare our risks to that of other and at the same time five us lessons in how to minimize the loses.

Lastly, whenever you work on your recovery seed, put your mobile phones in another room, put a tape over your webcams as an added security measures and never do anything with your Bitcoin in a public space like McDonald's or Chicken Republic that is full of listening devices. Don't be carried away.

Maybe at last, bitcoin is going to be the teacher of many who don't know how to handle things privately learn from their lessons, it's not funny that some people were just being do careless in handling things, even to the extent of thise things that are sensitive for them to hide, instead they go about exposing them in the public, things like this will teach so many people a lesson and henceforth they wouldn't go about mishandling relevant things of such which should be guided by all means from any third party influence for privacy and security measures.
Yes bitcoin have thought me alot about privacy and how to handle it in the most secured manner and no doubt about the fact that it will have though so many of her the same thing since privacy and security is one of the key features of Bitcoin,  since bitcoin gives us the chance to hold our assets in the most secrecy manner and without third-party interference,  reason why many of the bitcoin holders will not even want to expose their private keys to any third party.

And this makes to to work out modalities to protect their keys from intruder,  and most especially when there have funds in those wallet,  they won't risk such vital aspect of the wallet security which exposes their funds.
1667  Economy / Gambling / Re: what are the best crypto casinos! on: November 12, 2023, 11:37:15 PM
But if I discover that luck is not always on my side in some casinos,  I will choose to walk away and remain with eh casino that I am already used to
Many gamblers do the same thing although they know that switching to another casino will not change their luck.
You are either lucky or not. The casino you play at or the game you play has nothing to do with your luck. Of course I'm talking about reputable casino which do not manipulate games results.
Regarding registering on casinos because of the bonuses they offer, my advice is to always read the bonuses terms first before making a deposit to claim them.
What may be the best for me,  maybe the worst for the other person,  and what makes up for the individual differences and experiences on the said casino and what condition makes you to remain on the casino?

But on a general note,  if I may answer a straightforward way,  then I will say Stake still remains the best cryptocurrency casino to me,  and the reason is that,  since I started using Stake I have never run into any problems in the casino before and also like some casino that limits their customer whenever they're making big wins,  I have not seen stake doing that to their customer before and that is something that I place so much value on at some point and that why stake have remained my favourite all the time.
1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest AI coins? on: November 12, 2023, 11:28:54 PM
Ico, ieo, defi, meme, nft and so many altcoin trend came,  created hype and then end. I notice, when a new trend start, then trend Related new altcoins are getting lots of investor and become profitable! And seeing such success ratio, scammers also launch their token and destroy the trend and hype with scam. Now Ai coins are in trend. FET, AGIX and OCEAN are suppose to be good for investment. What do you Think? Time to invest in AI coins or you avoid it?
For now,  meme coins seem to be the hype of the moment and for that,  I would rather invest in meme coins instead of risking on AI coins,  in fact I have never paid any close attention to AI or whatever development that is associated with it as long as altcoin development is concerns,  because I like most of the teams won't want to do a good job in their token development since their will be after the hype and without any clear plans for the future and how the intend to sustain the continues existence in the market.

So if ever I want to gamble around with my money and I have to choose between the two,  I will rather go for meme coins and not AI-based projects.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sites with bonuses without deposit on: November 12, 2023, 11:17:28 PM
Yes because without a deposit how can you activate the bonus and what level it goes to help the gamblers achieve some free wagering,  but then also we have to be sure of what will be sustainable so no casino can offer what they don't have,  reason being that casinos also out for business and revenue generation is one of the main focus and in other to remain at that,  the casino must attain an inflow of cash instead an outflow that can uncontrolled outflow that may not be sustainable.

So for such no casino will offer such a welcome bonus that doesn't require you as the gambler to make a deposit.
There are numerous casino in the system, everyone of them have their market pattern they will utilized towards customers, and this can happen only when the opposition have failed to upgrade his team. We do what we do because we think it's appropriate but unknowingly to us, we're only making either a mistake or good decision when gambling. Deposit are made compulsory for the purpose to enable bonuses in the system. Most betting sites, that's the exact techniques they used to entrapped and persuades customers to make significant deposits, that's basically how to have customers in the system.
Me I won't trust any casino bonuse systems that doesn't require me to make my own level of input in terms of deposits to claim the bonuses,  this is because I am already aware of the fact that if you have to get a legitimate casino will th fair bonuses then you should be ready to make some form of deposits and also be ready to meet they wagering requirements reasons being that,  bonuses are not free money is the gambler receive it a advance credits,  and to pay back,  you have to work to do that,,  it's systematic approach that the casino employ to keep their clients hucked to them at all point.

So for sure,  I will not dear to gamble on a casino that does not have demand to enter their bonuse race because noting goes for nothing casino have to make money to pay their bills.
1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use bitcoin when gambling? on: November 12, 2023, 11:09:24 PM
Yes because for me,  I get my weekly payment in Bitcoin and for that,  I have no other choice but to gamble using Bitcoin,  I don't have any problem with that and in fact, this has helped me a lot and at some point,  even if I want to deposit into my casino account,  I don't use another currency unless bitcoin and for sure this have helped me a lot,  because with Bitcoin,  my total winning will automatically become an asset,  and because if Bitcoin value,  is easy for me to earn more in rewards since it bet will come in says and with a dollar value.

So my staked will also float with the market and that gives me two added advantages and sometimes even much more than the winning itself most especially when I take a long break after a good game and a winning at the same time.

So to me and many others,  bitcoin remains the most suitable currency for gambling and its advantages outweigh its disadvantages.

Let hope that Chelsea will consistent in the recent improvement and thos season have been filled with unexpected performance for some of the clubs that have suffered in the last couple of seasons back,  e.g Chelsea and Liverpool both did an incredible job in this weekend where the clubs made multiple goals in their match today's.

This once again confirms the unpredictability nature of football,  so for sure we should expect some form of exciting time ahead in this season for both clubs
I was really surprised with the way Chelsea played today. People didn’t believe that Chelsea would be able to draw Manchester City. Let's be honest, before the match started, I also believed that Manchester City would be the winner of the match, even if they wouldn't be able to score many goals. I know the match will be tough, but I was surprised to see Chelsea score four goals in the match. They didn’t allow Manchester City to go away with three points, they rather shared the points, and each team went away with one point each. I was really impressed by the way Chelsea played today, let’s just hope they are getting back to form already.
Not only you but many others including Chelsea's fans never believed that their club would record such success in the game tonight,  but they did and that is a be add up to the club and not only them but also Liverpool was able to win against Brentford also with a 3 goals which is another remarkable record for a club that is in the same category with Chelsea.

But what makes Chelsea's own case unique and more celebrated is the fact that Chelsea has suffered a lot of setbacks in the past and that affected the club's performance in the premier leagues in the last seasons,  much more than what Liverpool ever experienced,  but in this season Chelsea have begun to show some positive level of advancement and that is as a result of many home works from both the players and they coach in determination to changing the faith of the club in this season and beyond.
1673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there still hope for the price of BTC to hit back $69k this year? on: November 12, 2023, 10:28:45 PM
We can override that possibility,  Bitcoin can move to begin the 69k price benchmark before the year 2024 comes to an end,  so for sure we are free to make such speculations,  but we should treat it for what it is, and that is just assumptions,  speculations and guess works, and shouldn't be taken as an investment advice,  since we know the risk of taking speculations to mean advice.

But even outside that,  that price is way too high to be achieved in reality even though it's possible to achieve that, because 69k was the last all-time high after the last bitcoin halving,  so for that we have to expect less possibility of having that price achieve before the next Bitcoin halving cycle which is already in around six months from now,  and if all things being equal we should have some basic level of correction between the line but not to see any form of a bull run that can trigger us to that price of 69k.
1674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Would you Like Your Pension Paid in Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2023, 10:20:54 PM
I doubt that you would be a millionaire even in current bitcoin price. Though you would be able to earn a lot compared to the current pension money you have today. I also think that pension funds aren't supposed to be invested on any other things but as a way to survive in the future when you don't earn anymore in your current job. We all have regrets in life and one of those are the chance that we missed on investing on bitcoin or on other cryptocurrency, I myself had spent bitcoins too just to buy a latest iphone which is now unusable and can't keep up with the current technology. We still have a chance to buy some, unless you still want to miss the chance again.
That amount in pension even if left untouched for several years will not earn anything significant in terms of profits,  this is because Bitcoin at the moment is expensive that amount will only get you a few dollars in profits,  so for sure it may be against inflation holding that pension in Bitcoin,  but should not be taken as a potential retirement investment,  since your daily expenses will already consume all without any possible left over as an investment.

Even though the company will not opt-in for such a formula of payment,  ops will still need to make a direct conversion of his pension into Bitcoin before he can hold it and if that is necessary.
1675  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: November 12, 2023, 10:13:34 PM

I have a question.

Let's say for example, a casino registers in costa Rica and start operating globally without demanding KYC from their customers, and there are some countries where the government over there have made it mandatory that every gambling casino that is operating in their territory must ask or make KYC verification mandatory for all her customers, or for all customers from that territory, what then will the casino do?
First for a casino that is 100% kyc free to operate in a country that have gambling regulations it has to be by way of proxy,  since the casino website will be banned in that region,  and also any citizens that is caught for using such casino may face the law since it will be tend as violations of the countries laws.

So even if the casino have no regulation or licensed,  it chances of existence will still depends on the jurisdictions from which it operate from and how tight the country's rules are against unlicensed casinos.
Quote
Will they seize to allow customers from that territory register and use their platform? or will they allow customers from that region to register, but would impose Kyc verification for the people from that region alone?

This a very important question which i need serious answers on.
The casino may not seize to allow citizens of such countries to register on the site,  since their are after their own revenue,  but what they can do is to allow the use of VPN on the casinos,  so the fight will be between the citizens and their own regional government.
1676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler's family action. on: November 12, 2023, 10:05:43 PM
Yes, this is an extreme length for gambling and is a case of class addiction to gambling since the whole family is involved in the act and have encouraged the young man with their inaction to stop him from selling personal belonging to fund his gambling,  this is the most evil thing to do,  since gambling has no guarantee of winning and also gambling should just be treated as means of having fun but not to an extreme level were you possibly depends on it to find any part of your life.

So for sure, the families have no case,  because just by declaration that the brother havean  addiction problem alone is not a guarantee since the revelation is made only when he has lost everything.
1677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying ETH fees? on: November 12, 2023, 09:50:55 PM
2024 / 2025 (hopefully) will be my first bull run and the majority of my crypto is currently on cold storage and I am wondering if I should get some ETH ready now to pay for fees when it comes to selling or if I should wait till next year when I actually do sell - is there any difference?

I do not hold Ethereum but do have a few tokens that will require me to pay fees so wondering what is best to do have it ready now or if it doesn't matter and just wait till it actually comes to selling and pay then but obviously the price of Ethereum will be a lot higher next year then it is now so thinking is it best to buy now whilst cheaper?
Well, it depends on you,  and what your convictions are for the next year's Ethereum value and what its reality will be,  this is the most exciting time to buy ETH since its price is low at the moment and also that the probability of the value increase in the next year,  because at the moment, Ethereum price is still very at a discount price and anyone opening a buy position for the coin is standing a high chance of having good profits in the next one year.

But since your emphasis is on gas fees,  you can also buy and hold also since in the period there may be a possible network hike in the Ethereum network that may be a disadvantage.
1678  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: November 12, 2023, 09:37:10 PM
Today I received a prize from winning a competition sponsored by 500 Casino. Even though I am against KYC in a crypto casino, I had no choice and had to go through it. Probably everyone knows how casinos don’t like a player with a profit trying to withdraw money, and they create difficulties in the way of this player so that he gives up and changes his mind about withdrawing the money or crypto he won. Nevertheless, I want to say that Casino 500 verified my documents incredibly quickly, literally within a minute I received the result, and all the document rejections were only due to my error. Therefore, for me, in addition to Roobet, another wonderful casino began to exist.
If I wherein you shoes I will do the same since I already have a prize to claim once I pass through the KYC process,  to get my money out and that is something I know many other people will do same unless you don't trust the casino to be able to handle you privacy but if it does then kyc is not an issues.

We have to come to terms with that fact that KYC is what most casinos and governments require from the gamblers and this helps to solve a lot of issues such as removing possible underage gambling.
1679  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Raising children in this current society on: November 12, 2023, 09:07:36 PM
There is this popular saying that most children born around the year 2000 down are rude. As insensitive as it may sound,  it is actually true. The rate of moral decadence in our society today is alarming and parents need to be intentional in parenting. Parenting is a very big task which must not be neglected.  If you don't inculcate into the children the right values at their tender age, they will learn by themselves from social media or strangers and they might learn the wrong thing.

Well even though there may be some element of truth in what you said,  but the truth is that that is just a statement based on assumptions and we have to be very aware of that and its possibilities,  we can't say that all the kids that falls that age of 2000 are all rude since we still have some children's who are born in that age who are still very well behaved and have control them self and behaved most respectfully,

But if we say they have high mental alertness to attract whatever character that is exhibited around them,  that I may accept and be the reason why some of them may be rude is because of the environment they grow in and the behaviour of their parents determined also behave.

Today’s game was thrilling, I was at the edge of my seat throughout.  This match is arguably the best match I have seen this season. Chelsea did very well today, I wasn’t expecting them to score as many goals as they did, I really hope they can maintain this form and also to work on their defense. Today’s game proves that Manchester City are not invincible, I doubt they will be winning a treble this season.
