And for compensation of the lost mining time...
Speaking of which, has anyone actually received compensation in the form of BTC from bitmain? I did, last week! For one s4. It was a nice surprise. How much BTC did you receive from them? Has anyone else been compensated? I'm still waiting on mine.

Too bad you weren't mining on P2Pool, you would've gotten a nice 0.125BTC reward for finding a block! (assuming you would have found it there also..)
Congrats on finding a block in any event!

So my batch 2 unit wouldn't work out of the box. The display was showing the IP as 127.0.0.1. After a bit of messing around, I figured the SD card was to blame and that a reflash was in order.
To anyone else that gets this, you can usually clear it by simply pressing and holding the reset button [on the LCD]. That didn't work in my case, I attempted that twice. Absolutely had to reflash the SD card. Fixed Hi, I need to know how to reflash with SD card. Please explain if I would appreciate the help You'll need to take the SD card out of the S4 and flash it using a full image on a PC. Do you have a laptop with an SD slot or something to write to the card? Gotta love natural Canadian cooling. And it isn't even winter yet. If you're wondering, temps are showing 0 because S4's temp sensors don't register below 20c. So, how cold is it outside where you are? 0c right now. (32f)

Hmmm... To order more S4s, or not.. Coupons are making my trigger finger itchy, but then... S5..

That's a top quality PSU. Have you used it with anything else?

The problem is that this is a kernel pre-order. Hardware pre-orders are bad enough.
It's more like a group buy, since I have it RIGHT NOW. Yes, you and a select few have it right now. Mining away. Meanwhile, if I want it I have to pay BTC3 and wait possibly up to 37 days to either get it or be refunded. So far no one has pledged which leads me to believe that I'll be waiting a long time if I do cough up the BTC.

The edge thing is a silly gimmick, like curved phones, waterproof phones etc.
Hey now.. Water resistant phones are a good thing.

For some reason, since I added neoscrypt to my config, my miner isn't auto switching to x11, x13, or x15 anymore when they are more profitable. Is ok 2 psu 850 watt each one for 1 Titan?? Gold
The above is all when using 120V input, because, uh...well, because my kill-a-watt power meter only works on 120V. Wanna know a secret? Your kill-a-watt also works on 240v, you just need to make the female end of your 240v line 5-15R.

Copied version 4.7.0 on a usb stick. Checked it on the usb stick with the --version command, it gave back version 4.7.0 Checking the same file on the same usb stick on the other pi it gives version 3.9.0 again Putting it back in the other pi and checking that file with the command it gives version 4.7.0 again very weird try: echo $PATH and check in /usr/local/bin There is another copy of cgminer, most likely the ./cgminer -V is pulling from the $PATH variable Yes that worked, it shows now that it is cgminer 4.7.0, however it only runs from the command line and shows only invalid nounces unfortunatly. Have to look into that Hi emdje, Is it possible to view cgminer like that through putty using your 2.0 firmware? Or is it only made possible with your newer unreleased firmware?

Does it come with the coolant as well? If not you might want to correct the page since it says it's included. Is the cooling kit still manufactured by syscooling or is it a different manufacturer?
I think collant is seperate. Dogie found a good price - each one should be enough for one miner and then some (depends on how you cut cords). I had to get more thanks to syscooling. On them I hope it's improved if they stay with them. RMA process is VERY VERY hard if more then one goes out. I have ordered a few different things to try out to work better then straight syscooling gear i should know end of the week if I was able to make some upgrades to cooling quality. I used 750ml on my build, per miner. I'm sure it doesn't include coolant still but I'm checking. Confirmed no cooling as expected. Thanks, that's what I figured.

Ok. I'll have to figure out if it's worth it or not for my rigs. (About 50x 7970/280x + 20x 290/290x)
I would probably be convinced if I could pay 3BTC now without having to wait for 14 other people to get the kernels.

Guys, I'm having a private debate with someone about heating a room with miners. The argument is that a 1000w water cooled miner won't heat a room as much as a 1000w air cooled miner would.
1000w input = 1000w of heat no matter how it's cooled. Correct?
I know I'm right, but this could settle the debate. LOL.

So 3 BTC gets me the kernels + source code?
How much for just the kernels without the source code? Or are they the same? Sorry, I have no clue.
If I do pay, how long before I get the kernels? I have zero interest in the source code, wouldn't have a clue what to do with it to try and improve it.

Just came back from a 4 months hiatus from the world of crytos. My GPU rigs have been asleep for the summer because of the heat. Right now, is it still possible to use a GPU rig in a manner that will be profitable? Or should I just dismantle them and sell the parts?
Since summer is over, same goes for a lot of people. Difficulty going to increase for all algo. So yeah GPU is useless for mining. Not the case; I'm turning a profit at $0.11 USD per kWh. Why do you always make posts similar to this, which inevitably leads to noobs asking you how you do so, to which you'll brag about the magic kernels that you've made and only you have access to? You give people false hope and waste time. It gets annoying. That said, I don't think you should share your kernels and understand why you don't. Doesn't it get annoying having people beg you for them? If I were you I'd STFU about them and enjoy the extra profit, like I'm sure a good number of people do who may have just as good or even better custom kernels. No, with public miners, I can. Oh, sorry. I assumed you meant with your private kernels. My bad.
