1681  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa making an open Confessional statement on: June 13, 2023, 02:42:03 PM
Once it comes to political affairs, it's nothing but the survival of the fittest, we must be very careful for them not to use as as their prey to feast on while delibrating on final decision on issues arising, if you're not ready to go dirty with them then it's better you stay clear off their zones, because politics is a dirty game and full of nay sayers thinking minds, how could you conquer them when they are the majority.
1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blur token unlock on: June 13, 2023, 02:36:01 PM

So my take here is, what do you think will be the effect of this unlock in the coming days especially since we just had a huge dump?
The unlocking token volume is huge and i think that will put bad impact on price. Blur token is not listed in Binance and volume is not big. whenever this kind of unlocking happening then big investors sell off their tokens week ago. week ago we have seen massive dump in SUI price and reason was big unlocking coin of public sale buyer in kucoin. Market condition is also bad and no one is in the mood of holding and i think price will be dumped.

What do you mean by saying it would leave bad impact on price, i will like to inform you that this can only be what will happen within the token itself and not affecting other cryptocurrencies price, secondly i will like to give a strong warnig from investing on memecoins or tokens not enlisted, they may just be there to trigger us through their hype for their investment which is why we need to make careful resea before investing on any going getting unlocked or newly introduced.
1683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto porfolio trackers are people using? on: June 13, 2023, 02:30:00 PM
I used blockfolio for the last a few years also i used coinmarketcap in short term but currently i'm using coingecko, it's user friendly interface and easy to accessible to track your coins. I will recommend coingecko because i think it’s provided so accurate data comparatively others tracker apps.
The data provided by CG and CMC are sometimes different. I would say that if the fact that if how good the portfolio trackers depend on the personal view. It seems like that anyone has been writting their own perspective.

As long as CG and CMC was not providing manipulated data and it's fine.

Why should we rely on just two entries for us to use as tracker when there are many tracking indications, softwares, websites and nots we could make use of, though not all of them could be as this accurate as expected but we need to make an additional efforts in researching towards these results from our own personal findings before concluding, coingecko is another good tracking means that has been found reliable and used over time by many investors and traders in cryptocurrency.
1684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will China takeover as the leader in blockchain and start the new bull market? on: June 13, 2023, 02:21:28 PM
After knowing that the mainland Chinese government is against bitcoin activities, I did not expect much that they would expand the crypto industry space to various territories. Hong Kong is China's only exclusive contribution to the crypto space which I think will be around for a long time until some of their special importance is achieved.

Though they may be against bitcoin adoption but that doesn't mean they can't make the utility use for the blockchain technology in some aspects of their economy even though China is very adamant as well in accepting other offers from without, but maybe due to the nature of the the blockchain technology being a decentralized network, they may give it some considerations for use, but OP should know that either of these two is not a determinant for the market rise or fall.
1685  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: June 13, 2023, 01:42:40 PM
Well when we enter a casino we will always seek to win, no matter what we have read, that some do it for fun or entertainment, they will always seek to win, and if not, what remains is the fun, the good time that it has passed, the activation of the adrenaline, and a set of things that always makes us feel when we are in any casino site , the physical casinos give food , drinks , music , everything is an endless number of emotions that make our game more pleasant, and there it is good, if we know how to differentiate between Knowing how to lose and win  , it is because we have great Maturity.

A Gambler can be surfing through the online casino platform without betting and just be navigating through, same way it can be applied to the casino house whereby not everyone there are gambling, some were just spectators while others were being there just to get entertained, others are there busy gambling, yet those not gambling were still found spending money while catching fun but they can't be regarded for gambling since they aren't betting.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: June 13, 2023, 01:12:52 PM
The age limit placed on people below 18 year to keep them away frim gambling have not been most effective as we have hard records of under age gambling in many place and this is a pointer that casino has indeed misolaced their primary responsibility which is to prevent that from happening and that is why there is need for KYC.

Age limit is not a determinant to gambling responsibly because if we are going to address this as a whole from the scratch we could discover more that the aged ones often be the ones that abuses gambling by being addicted or found misbehaving while gambling which shouldn't be, but i can't blame some of them because they have gamble away what could have been of a benefit to them long time ago, what they now do is to forcefully gamble through inner frustrations.
1687  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: June 13, 2023, 12:58:17 PM
So, just last week, this lady fell a victim and she was shouting and crying, the had obviously emptied her pocket and even gotten her phone from her in the process of the gambling.

A lesson learned from a people who's been blinded by to good to be true profit shared by someone hype those gambling site. This will wake up them from reality that there's nothing good will happen to them if they believe on unrealistic claims made up by those people. They should know that each offer created is made by those person for their own gain and not for the other so they should learn to have critical thinking to avoid such heavy loss from wrong expectations.
if they'll hear, best thing is to completely ignore this kind of gambling, I've never seen anyone who won over this set, if you ever feel the need to gamble, use a renowned platform.

We are expected to open well our eyes when on the look for a reliable and reputable gambling platform to use, since it's a choice we make then we have to ensure we didn't make the wrong one while choosing one, then another thing we have to be careful with is the way some of these gambling platforms do engage their advertisement Which often serves as key influencers for us choosing them even without us taking research on them wgich is wrong.
1688  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 13, 2023, 12:20:42 PM
So, You are telling us that all web2 casinos are unfair and web3 casinos are fair. Isn't it like a dog eats a dog? You don't have to pull down anyone to climb up. Just improve your platform, and don't put your fingers on another platform. Those things destroy your professionalism. Do you have any proof that web2 casinos are unfair? Let's say a web2 casino admin asks you this question, I am curious what your answer would be. You cannot force others to be the same as you. However, does your casino support the Main Chain of Bitcoin? If yes, How?

You're right, everyone of them is working towards their own development and none is preferred than the other because they all have were they are best being applicable as preferred by rhe gamblers, now we can see that it has to do with our own personal and individuals preference, both the two have their both applaudable aspect and the other side which is the lapse even though it's minuts, also i think there's more concentration on web 3 these days since it's more advanced than web 2
1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Experienced Winning Bets By Upsets on: June 13, 2023, 11:14:33 AM
Yes, I was amused by the question. It's happened to me once or twice, betting in anger and at that very moment getting lucky and winning a big win. At that point I got over my anger and stopped betting, leaving with the money.
Gambling is meant for fun, I do anticipate in gambling just to gain extra money for my wants, additional usage for my pocket. Betting with rage is never a good technique to make money from gambling, and it is likely that you will suffer significant losses from the system at such time. I've seen it happen to my colleagues, converting their rage into gambling and resulting in severe financial loss. When one is furious over something, it is never a sensible option to gamble in an unstable frame of mind. When I feel annoyed, I instantly quit gaming and go home to clear my mind with recreational activities.

We all have different opinions and experience in gambling and when we bet because we are not bettings the same game at the same time, there are matches whereby you have the opportunity in winning them through an upset experience but in this case are not what we planned for, it's what we needed to do even though we don't know what may turn the outcome at the end, winning bet through ban upset approach will require perfect timing and luck backing it up.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier League? on: June 13, 2023, 10:49:38 AM
All what ChatGPT gave are all generic  answers based on past performances, and sport relying 70% of past data will always give suggestions of last best performing teams and in this case Liverpool, Manchester City  and Manchester United .
If you look at the names its given Liverpool is nowhere near the top four which tells me ChatGpt isn't  really up todate with current affairs and just relies on historical data.

Btw is this chatgpt 3.5 or 4.0?

If am betting on premier league then just know it that I can't work by strictly on what ChatGPT tells or forecast, these are nothing than the collection of previous performances from individual teams and general opinions collected from different sources and people across the world, that may not really work as the real situation being applicable to, i will rather take the opportunity to gather more required informations i needed and arrived at my own judgement or final conclusion and not from ChatGPT.
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year on: June 13, 2023, 10:30:09 AM
So I stopped counting my losses and just minimize my betting I just tried to be happy on the thought that I have good times betting and I enjoy the thrill.
I think if one can mange the emotion that comes with counting gambling losses it won't really be bad if the keep counting because that way it will help make better budget either to cut down on their betting or maintain the same pace. It won't be advisable for someone who lost so much in previous year to increase the betting in preceding year that is why I feel to stop counting might not be the best practice for a gambler

I don't think it's even a good idea to be counting the losses over time, it may sound to discourage one from gambling seeing the numbers of attempts made and how everything has resulted into loss, though some gamblers may be that good at keep records of every gambling attempts they made for reference purpose but this isn't also a good idea because it has no important use of where necessarily applicable.
1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 13, 2023, 10:16:17 AM
It is not an easy decision to take when it come to stoping gambling because gambling is very addictive so it takes a high disciplined person to stop this habit, you try to stop this by uninstalling some app you use for it if you play online and total avoidance of place or friends that you feel that contributes to you indulging in the act.

We sometimes say we want to stop gambling but we found out that the more we are attempting to stop the more we are getting more attrated to it, there are some decisions we need to take action on, it's not a thing we can just say by just mere words, we have to take a cognitive actions over it and the best way is to distance self from any gambling related platform or environment that could draw our individual personal interest back to it, we easily got attrated to what we often sees every time.
1693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: June 13, 2023, 10:03:34 AM
~snip~
I believe there are obviously some smart gamblers who can profit from slots by using effective strategies. However, it's important to say that all strategies carry a certain level of risk. No strategy can guarantee a 100% success rate since they all ultimately depend on luck. Smart gamblers, as you mentioned are people who use a good strategy on a LUCKY day and cash out their winnings immediately after a HUGE win. They avoid the mistake of gambling for hours and hours because that often leads to the biggest mistake of all which is the greed. When you win, it's easy to become greedy for more but this mindset often results in huge loss streaks.

The thing is that if you consider a lucky day as a win, then you also need to consider unlucky days as a loss, and overall it's most probably a loss in total.

It doesn't matter if the gambling is done in a single day, or in multiple ones. The more times you gamble, the more probable it is you're going to lose.

Even if one proves being smart will that continue for long, we cannot always win over the house, be it slot, plinko or casino as long as you're calling it a gambling platform you have the same chances of either winining or loosing when you gamble, slot is a kind of game on itself which it's mode of operations is different from other gambling games, so also we cannot expect to use the same pattern or strategy the same as being used for others.
1694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 13, 2023, 09:49:03 AM
Gambling addicts will stop at nothing unless the gamble to quench hunger for it temporary, gambling is one of the most addictive activity that has ever existed, people can do anything as far as gambling is concerned it is important to understand that gambling affect some persons to the extent that the can do without it.

Gambling is a really powerful addiction, and extremely expensive when it goes wrong.

The thing is that it doesn't get the same attention as other addictions like heroin, alcohol, tobacco, etc, but it's probably even worse.

You will found out that every gambling addicted individuals will always loose control of himself and end lacking the perfect direction to how they should live or handle their personal lives, such ends up in hunger because they have no money left to feed themselves with neither do they have any quality source of income that they are serious with and giving them source of income, which means it will do much of harm than good if we are gambling addicted.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: June 13, 2023, 09:32:58 AM
Its very possible to lose $100 a day so presuming the odds are near to even on some games you cannot rule out the ability to also make $100 a day.  The thing that brings down the plan is the consistency and difficulty in doing so, also clever planning to retain the money previously earnt without risking it too much.   I think most people hope for a big win or a streak, they dont dare hope they will always be lucky not when the game has a fee to it so this most of would appear most improbable.
Yes, it is a two side game either you win or you lose but be warned that there is no way to make a passive income through gambling and judging from the op's statement he wants to make a steady $100 daily which is not guaranteed in gambling since it a high-risk venture and at that one can win even above that amount but also could lose almost everything and there is no guarantee how much you can win or lose as long as you keep gambling.
I understand some of this talk in other words it may be quite impossible to earn $100 per day but losing $100 per day in gambling is certain.
depending on where they bet and whether he has the knowledge and strong commitment to manage his finances so as not to lose too much. as I know if betting on sports betting like it is possible to get a definite profit but we must remember that sports betting there are always unexpected surprises and sometimes betting on the underdog is not guaranteed to win.
and conversely, betting on casino games plays longer as there is a guarantee of getting a big multiplier but we also have to remember that the house always wins.

from this problem we can know whether the mind gets a daily profit of $ 100 is it still possible?

I don't even know maybe OP was taking gambling from the aspect of ponzi scheme approach or an investment that has a steady daily flow of income, as am concerned, there's no fix income in gambling by playing bet, except if he will learn and develope some skills to render the gambling organizations his service and get paid daily or weekly, but he should first let go of his rated amount on the look for because he may ended up having nothing because not every gambling platform may be willing or ready to pay him such amount daily except he's of great value in what he offers them that their platform solely depends on.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 13, 2023, 09:06:44 AM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

Gambling is not an addiction to me neither is it a side hustle. I do it for fun, to pass time. If I win a huge amount of money from gambling, I will still keep gambling responsibly. Nothing changes.

Quote
Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.

Anyone who has been gambling responsibly would have no issues with this. You already have a gambling plan and strategy. You have a budget. Stick to it. It is only an indiscipline and inexperienced player that would make the decision put back all the money they won into gambling because they think they will make bigger win.

Quote
Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling?
Yes, many years ago when first started gambling without a plan, direction or strategy.

Quote
And to date, you are still gambling?
Yes, I still gamble. I do it for fun and for entertainment. Just betting on the UCL finals. Was just for fun. By the way, I lost .Grin

We can termed gambling the name we preferred it's been called as long as that's our own personal definition to gambling and also that we are gambling the right and appropriate way such that it's not affecting any area of our life, you will find to discover some kind of gamblers along the line that will be so amazing to you because of the way the handle their own gambling as a lifestyle, some can also be weird at it, which means, we can get it enough having diverse approach to gambling from the people across the world, but most of these things are not that easy to achieve in gambling but some comes in a natural way or means whereby we have every reason to either continue with gambling or put a stop.
1697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bot with smart algorithm Available on: June 12, 2023, 04:07:32 PM
I know some will still fall for this kind of offer as long as they keep hearing something new to help facilitate thier trading experience, but what I will like to advise here is that anything not worked don't last, trading bot cannot just be used in a single direction to favour one wide than the other, remember those bots also have their limits, i also believe that there are many trading indications that could be use to arrived same result needed.
1698  Economy / Reputation / Re: rby distrust me without any reason on: June 12, 2023, 03:59:38 PM
Since this is a neutral tag maybe it's something that requires less worries OP, that doesn't stop you achieving anything neither does it deter you from achieving anything, I think that's is own way of expression about how he feels about you, another reason why you may not really show much interest is because it's not showing on your trust ratings from the one displayed together with your profile since it's not the one coming from a DT member.
1699  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is AI beneficial to the society? on: June 12, 2023, 03:41:44 PM
On a general terms, artificial intelligence is very beneficial to the society, because it brings about doing thing in a new and easier way, there's more efforts used in making some particular task and in getting them done, but we have to be very mindful of the areas where this could be made applicable abd also not to use it as against some areas where it needs may not be necessary in other not to cheat against others while using it.
1700  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Subsidy removal and all you need to know on: June 12, 2023, 03:22:42 PM
In a corrupt environment, expect anything to happen there, when the people lack the confidence in full delivery of their leaders, things like this will not be found wanting because everyone will likely take advantage of the opportunity against others from their own capacity, i think there's more need for coordinating authorities to give support to fighting for the interest of the people through unification of all aspects of the economy such that non should be found lacking behind, some buy the fuel very low and sells high immediately they hear the change in price and no one to caution them.
