1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 30, 2022, 05:18:56 PM
Statistically Manchester City lead but the temporary score is 1-0 for Liverpool and Liverpool won at half time, I personally have previously said that I was a little forced to choose Liverpool. because earlier when I placed the bet it was clear that Manchester City was the favorite team but I still bet on Liverpool, even though I still bet safely with the draw no bet option. Hopefully this result can be maintained by Liverpool or maybe will add another goal, who knows.
This is why football games are judged by goals scored not statistics hehe. Manchester city is expected ofcourse to be the one who holds the ball brilliantly and try to keep it; yet they must score a goal to equal the tie before the 90th minutes, I reckon a Liverpool 2 nil win here, with a Salah winner after a quick counter attack

After 55 minutes, Liverpool is leading 1-0. I wouldn't say that Manchester City is playing badly. The gameplay of City is good. But they are not able to penetrate Liverpool's defense. Liverpool is playing a bit defensive after scoring. Manchester City has talented players like Haaland, Grealish, and Mahrez in attack but they are not playing well. The chances of Liverpool winning the match are high, otherwise, the match will be a 1-1 draw.
1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 30, 2022, 05:12:16 PM
BCCI has announced their ODI team for Zimbabwe tour. They are again going with 2nd string team and keep testing their bench strength.

Kohli, Bumrah and Shami are taking long break. Rishab, Rohit and Chahal (wasn't necessary) are also rested. KL Rahul still not fit i suppose.

Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav and Deepak Chahar are finally back. Maiden call for Rahul Tripathi in the squad.

Virat Kohli should have been given a chance in the series against Zimbabwe. He has been out of form for three long years. Zimbabwe's bowling line-up is weak. Virat Kohli might have been able to play well against such a team. If he returns to form, he might be able to perform consistently well again. But BCCI rested Virat Kohli. It doesn't look like he will be able to return to form for the next World Cup. Kohli is probably going to be kicked out of the Indian team very quickly.
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 30, 2022, 02:55:32 AM
This is an interesting question, and in my opinion, haters are more active than adequate fans. If you look at any sports article about some football player (now I'm talking about the situation in my country), then no matter who it is about, the largest number of upvotes receive comments with a negative towards the player in question.
As I understand it, the latest rumor regarding Ronaldo right now is a loan deal at Napoli? Highly doubtful in my opinion.
There are too many masalas in media about Ronaldo transfer news because first we have Chelsea and Bayern Munich then suddenly both disappear, and we have Atlético Madrid but this also ended without any solid update after this I read now Ronaldo is going to be meet with Ten Haq about his future and most chances he is going to stay here at Manchester United without Champions League but now suddenly another news about on loan deal with Napoli mean media trying their best for keeping themselves into action without any solid reason.
Teams like Atlético Madrid and Roma fail to in negotiation with Ronaldo just because of their finances so is this possible for Napoli to do this really interested question because most chances he is not going to cut his salary which is the big problem for many clubs so with this all most chances he will stay here and not go anywhere for just Champions League.
Journalists can be understood - they squeeze the maximum out of any story, and here we are talking about the greatest player, so this is the most profitable information occasion. If you remember the history of choosing Mbappe between just two clubs, then there was so much news that literally everyone was tired of them. By the way, another rumor appeared today (and then a quick refutation of it) about the possible transition of Ronaldo to Sporting.

At this point, I really think that there hasn't been any honest news about Ronaldo leaving or staying. The media is just trying to make news for themselves so that they can sell them. Looking at things I really don’t believe Cristiano Ronaldo is willing to leave Manchester United right now. Especially when the other clubs are not interested in him. Or at least certainly do not want to get him on the team for any long-term plan.

So, the most rational decision here is going to be Cristiano Ronaldo staying in Manchester United.

Please tell me one thing. Why would Cristiano Ronaldo move from Manchester United to Napoli or Sporting? Especially after Manchester United is trying to fix a lot of issues?
1704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 29, 2022, 05:59:31 AM
^^ Lol Hasan Ali? In his last 4 test matches (2 against Australia and 2 against SL ) he has taken only 5 wickets with a strike rate of 180 and 100. I do like him as bowler but he has been performing below average in this cycle. His only satisfactory outing was against Bongbros.

Having a successful performance in the test match against a team like Bangladesh, which is already weak, actually very weak in test cricket is not a significant achievement at all. And Hassan Ali is a capable bowler.

If we look at his test career we will see that he has taken 77 wickets in probably 21 matches. He has an economic rating of around three which is quite acceptable in my opinion. And in his defense, we can say that the tracks in Sri Lanka are not very convenient for fast boarding. The tracks are ideal for a spin. So that is one way to defend him. But obviously, that should not be an excuse and he should always be able to contribute to the team. I hope he learns from this, and he should also know that people are talking about his recent performance.
1705  Economy / Economics / Re: Fashion Brands uses Blockchain Technology on: July 29, 2022, 02:33:31 AM
Adaptions like this, especially a famous fashion brand has a huge impact on the crypto industry. It could spread awareness, especially for people who still aren't aware of the function of cryptocurrency and how it works as a mode of payment. It will also be an advantage for crypto users who want to purchase brands using their crypto assets. It's a good thing that blockchain technology has been developing and emerging continuously.
On the one hand it is. Because basically they both have their respective advantages where crypto users can buy famous fashion brands using their cryptocurrency assets and also cryptocurrencies will become easily famous with such interactions at this time. Because it can also encourage more people to find out about blockchain technology that can provide benefits and financial freedom for every user.

This is a mutually beneficial relationship, in that famous brands assist blockchain technology to become more and more popular and interested in more users worldwide. The popularity of blockchain that will be the premise for people to use cryptocurrency will also increase. On the other hand, using blockchain also allows them to reach a wide range of customers, especially crypto customers like us, which enables them to increase revenues even further.
1706  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's economy is 'imploding' on export decline, economists claim on: July 29, 2022, 02:24:45 AM
Do you want to say that all the energy crisis, the food crisis that is about to come, the chaos in the markets around the world and the rapes and crimes of genocide committed by Russian soldiers are the fault of Ukraine?
It is reckless to lay the blame on Ukraine, since its foreign and domestic policy is not independent and is deeply dependent on the United States. The United States has been the instigator and culprit of virtually every major armed conflict in the world since the post-World War II era. War by proxy and on foreign territory is a modern US corporate identity. And the conflict in Ukraine is no exception, simply because the United States is profitable, the United States is the main beneficiary of this conflict and the main supplier of hatred around the world. Such a story.

There are no doubt that the United States is the largest arms exporter in the world and the majority of their revenue is derived from the sale of arms, which contributes to the growth of their economy. If there is no war, who do they sell weapons to, so I also agree with you that America is the mastermind of most of the wars in the world. No one benefits more than them, one way or another they are always manipulating all that chaos, unfortunately Ukraine has become the target this time.
1707  Economy / Economics / Re: Yellen says economy shows no signs of recession on: July 29, 2022, 02:11:06 AM

U.S. government seems to want to change what "recession" means as if the economic numbers don't indicate dire consequences of post COVID fiscal policies. I'm looking for whatever excuse they can find to explain the numbers and don't find anything worthy of salvage. Hiring is slowing for the U.S. economy, wages are not growing, inflation is high. Perhaps the federal reserve is unwilling to recognize reality, or perhaps they are truly as incompetent as everyone thinks.
This is one of the classic tactics of politicians, they are just moving the goalposts and nothing more, it is similar to what they do with inflation or unemployment in which they modified the criteria to give the impression the inflation and the unemployment are lower, but if we used the previous criteria we can see that inflation and unemployment are way higher than what we thought, so it is not really that surprising they are trying to do the same with the recession term.

I think the US has been in a recession for a long time, so we don't have to wait until the second quarter GDP growth report is negative to really say they're entering a recession. The primaries are about to start so the government will do its best not to notify the people of this, it will have a profound effect on the upcoming primaries. Everything has to do with politics and it's no surprise that they do this.
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin soars as the FederalReserve raises the key interest rate by 75 basis pnt on: July 28, 2022, 01:25:59 PM
Perhaps the market has gradually become stubborn before the Fed raises interest rates and previous predictions are also almost exactly what the Fed announced, so it may no longer cause panic among investors. Assuming the interest rate is not 75 points as previously predicted but 100 points, perhaps the market will have fluctuations in my opinion that will be extremely sharp causing panic in the market.
1709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: July 28, 2022, 01:11:15 PM
The fact that we are predicting satoshi is no different than we are discussing the future price of bitcoin, which is almost never-ending. He chose to remain completely anonymous so we should respect his decision.

Honestly, I like his decision to remain anonymous, it's like how bitcoin works today. promote user privacy.
We've always wanted to know satoshi's true identity, it's human curiosity but perhaps we're bothering him. So in my opinion, we should stop looking for him. That's the only thing we can do for him with the great legacy he left us.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Stolen Bitcoin Be Recovered on: July 28, 2022, 12:23:10 PM
Unlike traditional money transfer systems, once you have pressed the "send" button there is no chance for you to revert back, which is one of the differences between bitcoin and traditional money transfer systems. With statements like this, I consider this a scam, you will lose another large amount of money to another scammer if you choose to use this service, you can even report it to the FBI, they can't help you get those bitcoins back let alone these fake experts.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: July 28, 2022, 06:37:58 AM
This also applies to the squad of any country that will compete later, no one can guarantee to win the world cup tournament in Qatar.
messi, he does not guarantee that he and his team will win the title this time. at least he still wants to try as much as possible to present the world cup title one last time in transition to retirement for his country.
regardless that they can achieve it or fail halfway.
I am optimistic that Messi and the Argentina squad will work very hard and give their best. even though messi is not playing in his best performance at psg but in the world of football everything can happen unexpectedly as well as other squads that will compete later in the world cup qatar all have hopes and opportunities.
only a few months away we will know later after the match is held.

As much as I want to see Lionel Messi winning the World Cup, I don’t think it is going to be a reality. This is because he is one of the most talented players in the world. But he really shines in the Barcelona style of football. I don’t think Argentina has adapted to that style of play at all. It is really challenging to imagine Lionel Messi also just carrying his team on his back and winning the World Cup at this age. I am also willing to say that the Argentina squad is not the sexiest coming into the World Cup.
1712  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S dollar almost equal to Euro on: July 26, 2022, 03:42:54 AM
Russia is restricting gas flow coming from Nord Stream once again, cutting supplies in half from 40% to 20%, claiming that one of their turbines needs maintenance. The war could last years, while the fear of Russia eventually permanently stopping gas flow to Europe is extremely likely in the upcoming months.

Experts in the EU have also warned about this before. Now that it has happened, sadly they do not know what to do other than criticize each other for what has happened. The European Union is now really stuck in a gas war with Russia, despite previous claims that it will soon find an alternative source of Russian gas.

If Europe and the US still want to impose a ceiling on the prices of Russian oil and gas, then stopping gas exports to Europe will happen and will prolong the war even more.
1713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My old officemate become millionaire on investing on Bitcoin on: July 26, 2022, 03:24:59 AM
That's an interesting story. Sometimes, we only need to hold and forget about our investment for a while so we'll never be tempted to sell during a crash. Bitcoin made lots of people millionaires, especially those who took the risks and trusted it. This is inspiring and the story only taught us a lesson to grab the chance of buying while the price of Bitcoin is still low so we'll never miss the chance of gaining a good profit when the bull run comes. Bitcoin will always be worth investing but we should be brave enough to hold.
In order to be able to do so, we need to have enough faith and a strong spirit to overcome the temptations and fears of the market. Furthermore, in order to have a comfortable investment position, you have to invest only with idle money without borrowing or taking out a mortgage to finance your investments. we will be fully confident enough to hold.

The lesson learned from this story is, only buy and hold, do not sell in the bear market, only sell when you have made a profit, you will succeed.
1714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing In Cryptocurrencies For Tuition Fees on: July 26, 2022, 03:13:43 AM
It's great that you have long-term plans for the future, but you have to make sure you have a backup fund and don't need to use this money if you have a small problem in your life to deal with.

Second, make sure that your child's education won't be interrupted if your investments fall into bear season causing losses. Investing in crypto is a risky investment, although well-intentioned, it is not advisable to invest with money that cannot be lost, affecting life. Therefore, it is advisable to invest only with idle money.
1715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 25, 2022, 05:15:49 PM
There isn't much time to go for the beginning of a new season in the Bundesliga. Dortmund and Bayern Munich are both dealing with striker problems. To be more accurate, Dortmund just want to replace Haller until his medical condition comes back to normal. On the other hand, Bayern Munich need a striker in their starting eleven directly as they have sold Lewandowski. I have seen their match against Manchester City which they played really poorly against the English team. Maybe it was a friendly but we can see that the striker problem is obvious.
I don't mind what they're going through now for the Bundesliga. Because the situation will not be much different from last season, where Bayern Munich will continue to dominate the league. But I worry more about them in the Champions League, Bayern Munich in particular. So far they are still under a more ready club, Manchester City among them. How they play of course we will judge, even though it is not an official match.

There is no team that can challenge Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga right now. At first, I had some hope for Dortmund but right now with the injury problems I don’t think they will be able to challenge Bayern Munich at all. And I believe Bayern Munich is going to dominate again in the Bundesliga. But I don’t think anything like that is about to happen in the Champions League with Bayern Munich. There is a lot better competition in the Champions League compared to the Bundesliga. And with Bayern Munich not having the prolific goalscorer, Robert Lewandowski on the team, it is going to be challenging for them to score consistently in the Bundesliga let alone the Champions League.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 25, 2022, 04:56:38 PM
Where did you hear the news from? I haven't even found any news about it yet, although there's a lot of news being circulated by the media now about Ronaldo.
Because Mane, who has officially signed for Bayern Munich next season, is a replacement for Lewandowski, who has been transferred to Barcelona. So what's more, Bayern Munich is eyeing Ronaldo if the squad is better.
Until now Ronaldo was not accepted in any European club because the manager of Manchester also told all why he wanted to move and until now he still has not got a new club, so it is certain that Bayern Munich will not get Ronaldo easily because of the expensive salary and The problems that exist in Manchester United make Bayern vehemently refuse.
Guys, let's face it, the management of Bayern Munich would have to go crazy to replace 34-year-old Lewandowski with 37-year-old Ronaldo. After all, Ronaldo can now only look for a club in which he will quietly retire. Bayern should be looking for a young player like Halland, not a guy who is about to end his career.

It is quite sad to see that this has come to this in the end. A player who is still arguably one of the top players in the world is not being chased by any big teams at all. And all of this is happening just because of his age. If he was any younger I think a lot of other teams would have chased this player. And it’s not like his skills have deteriorated too much. It’s just because of his age that no big team wants to have him in the squad right now. It is said to me in particular because the man who usually makes the headlines is considered to be a slow worker in a small team. This is despite the fact that he has really competent skills.
1717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 25, 2022, 04:40:29 PM
I don't think of a domination by Milan or any other team remaining in fact. Milan didn't dominate the league in the previous season as they were still in fight with Inter for the league title on the final weeks of the season. I will be expecting another competitive season now and these two would stay in the title fight again I hope. I'm wondering how much Juventus and Napoli will develop themselves. Juventus make me feel like they can be more determined this time but I'm not sure about Napoli for now.
Last season there was no dominance from AC Milan, they played with equal wins, draws and losses. Not so controlling as achieved by Juventus a few seasons ago. 2021/2022 season is the best chance for Juventus to win. I can say this from the new recruits achieved by Juventus. Lastly, they got Bremer, one of the best defender in Serie A. Milan may no longer be able to defend its championship title, Inter still strong enough. Napoli, I'm not sure. Maybe we can see Juventus, Inter, Milan and Roma as top 4.
Yeah, I wouldn't like to overlook Roma of course. I must have forgotten to mention about them also. Roma are improving themselves by new transfers already. Mourinho's last season performance was really promising for the future seasons. They even won the Europa Conference League in the end and their journey in the Serie A was decent also. With these new transfers I will expect them to be more competitive than the previous season. I don't know what they'd do in the Europa League but they need to be able to fight for top 4.

Roma has shown a reasonable amount of improvement under the management of José Mourinho. It is certainly not something to brag about but they have been improving even though it is not a sudden and huge improvement. And I also believe Roma will be able to perform better in the coming season. They should be able to make it at least to the semifinals of the Europa League. During the last season, I felt they could have done better. But I think if the coach is given a reasonable amount of financial support he will be in the position to transform this team into a really competent one. This team will be able to compete at the top level of the Italian league. It is probably not a good time to think about the Champions League right now. But eventually when the results start coming in that will also be an option.
1718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: July 23, 2022, 10:35:52 PM
IMO there's more than one reason why they ban it. Usually it's because they're afraid of people hiding their wealth and being able to transfer money abroad without the government's knowledge.
The second popular reason is they're afraid of bribes. In India the government officials were taking crypto bribes and those who found out about it overreacted and banned crypto, instead of using severe punishments to make it not worth for public servants to take bribes. The third most popular reason for banning is CBDC. Countries who want to launch their own crypto treat bitcoin like competition.

What you mentioned may not be wrong, but without crypto it still happens. It is human nature, human greed, if they don't use cryptocurrency, they will also use fiat money or any other asset to do their nefarious acts. Criminals also used fiat for their evil purposes before bitcoin came along and this is not the reason, the real reason is the government is afraid of bitcoin affecting fiat power and dominance.
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2022, 07:54:24 PM
Transfer rumours:
Chelsea have beaten off competition from Barcelona to sign Sevilla and France centre-back Jules Kounde and will offer the 23-year-old a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge. So another great deal for Chelsea and another failure for Barcelona.
Should this be consider a failure for Barcelona, I don't think Barcelona even put in a bid for Kounde, everything was just rumors, they should have known that this is outside their reach unlike Raphinha that they have already agreed personal terms with before the Chelsea attempt to hijack him. Also Chelsea signing Kounde would favor Barcelona as they can pursue Chelsea defender César Azpilicueta which Kounde should be replying easily.
What's surprising me is the rate at which Barcelona is very active in this transfer market irrespective of all the news of the clubs been broke and can't even pay their players. Well I can't just wait for the Kounde announcement to be made so we can move on to sign other aspects of the team that needs better players like our attack force.

I have always known that Barcelona is not willing to change this player because they have spent a significant amount of money on this transfer market. Under the current circumstances of the financial situation in Barcelona, it is quite unbelievable that they are considering making an offer for this player. This is because they do need defenders on the team right now. Barcelona has a really capable attacking lineup coming into the next season. But we always knew that Barcelona needed to have a competent defense. Probably that's why the rumor was spread.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 23, 2022, 06:59:22 PM
All football players will experience a decline in performance as he ages, Messi has already passed the peak of glory during his career as a football player. Now he is looking at the remnants of his time as a player before deciding to hang up his boots. He is a bit lucky when compared to his rivals, PSG can give Messi the opportunity to continue to lift the title at the end of the season. While Ronaldo is struggling to get out of Manchester United, but unfortunately there is no club that is interested in using his services.
Messi was a great striker in Barcelona and scored a lot of goals, but after moving to PSG, he began to score much less, a lot of time between this transfer did not pass, he did not become much older. Therefore, I think that it is not the player, but the team. And if Messi could now move to another club, perhaps he would return his efficiency, and in PSG to realize himself in such a big rivalry not ease.

After watching some gameplay of Lionel Messi at PSG, I am quite certain that he is unable to adapt to the playstyle. I also believe that he is really missing the link-up play that he was so used to when he was in Barcelona. In PSG when a certain player is in the final third of the field they really don't want to look up and pass the ball.

But in Barcelona, it almost felt like Messi knew what his teammates were about to do. And he positioned himself accordingly. The frustration of Lionel Messi is quite visible at times in PSG. Honestly, I don't think his poor form is apt to change unless he is playing the passing game that he is used to. He is not in his element unless he does so.
