1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bonafi - Fights counterfeits using Blockchain and Crypto-Tag on: July 24, 2018, 10:46:05 AM

Thanks for your efforts but correct me if I am wrong: the foto with the jeans, where is the unique code that nobody could copy?

There is a crypto tag on the leather logo. This is the very way to protect against counterfeit. If the product doesnt have a crypto tag, although the manufacturer uses it, it's likely that you have a counterfeit product.

Interesting, but can't that tag easily be damaged or torn apart from the product (even accidentally)?

The developers claim that these jeans were washed dozens of times, and in general are used daily. The crypto-tag works. Stunning wear resistance.

That's a strong proof it will work under situations where water plays a role. Didn't know they were talking about that.

Yes, there was a discussion in the telegram. As I understand it, it's the jeans of one of the team members. Self test Smiley

Ha ok that's not a very substantial test but at least a beginning to see how these things work. They should be water proof tested in the future to make the productive stronger.
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CREDITS - New Blockchain for financial industry [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: July 24, 2018, 10:45:13 AM
I know the mainnet is coming are we going to need to swap tokens and if so how do we do that?
I guess the mainnet is available only to credits partners right now. Mainnet for public will be launched in q4 then there will be instructions for the token swap.  There is also going to be a TPS demonstration soon. That's what i read on their telegram.

Did they give any more details about TPS demo, is it going to happen this month? I was banned from telegram because I said it was unprofessional how they handled July 15th deadline, many people got fooled by that date and now big dumps are happening, many people are mad.

These banning policies are unbelievable. People asking legit questions and putting pressure on the team is to be expected as there is a lot of money at risk.
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: July 24, 2018, 10:43:58 AM
Question regarding Virtopia, I've been mining there with a 6 x 1060 rig, getting an average of 80 raven p/day with hash rates on the site on average 20 Mhps.

Has anyone got stats then can enlighten me with, or is Virtopia not paying correctly? Superminer is outputting on average 40 Mhps.

Its to low..  i think 150-180 with 6x1060.
So you are earning 1 $ a day with 6 gpu.. lol thats crazy. Electricity is more than 1$ a day ,so you are losing money every day?

It is normal for virtopia and other small pools. One day you hit 80 ravens the other day 200. This is a problem of smaller pools. When they don't hit a block, you'll not get paid. When a block is hit, you get paid after a block confirmation. When virtopia hits a difficult block, there is a longer period until you get paid, when it hits less difficult block, payments are more often.

I will try to calculate it for you, but those numbers are only rough estimates. Let's say the actual total hashrate on network is 1,200Th/s. Difficulty is adjusted so, that a block should be hit every minute. Meaning that all the pools get their share of blocks from the network according to their hashpower.  Let's say virtopia has hashrate 6.5 GH/s (last time i checked yesterday). 1200 / 6.5 ~ 185 So a block should be hit every 185 minutes on virtopia. When you get a block with difficulty 200% you have to multiply this number by 2 * 185 = 370 minutes and so on. If you hit a block with difficulty of 500% you won't get paid for almost 16 hours. However if you hit easy blocks with difficulty less then 100% you will get paid more then what you should be paid on average. Your hashrate is 20 MH/s, from the pools hashrate 6.5MH/s it is 1/325.  Virtopias pool fee is 1% So when a block is hit, 4950 ravens are distributed to the miners. With your hashrate of 20MH/s you should get 4950/325 = 15.23 Ravens per block, so only about 5 blocks have been hit during the last 24 hours that takes it to the 80 mentioned ravens per day. Those calculations might be a bit off, but you should be able to calculate the average from actual hashrate on network, pool and your rig.

Thanks for the in depth reply mate, yeah this is why I let it run for a few weeks. They have the loyalty reward system, which I was allowing to kick in also. But this seems to be ridiculous never was the pool paying out more then 100 raven a day, I've now switched to Minepool to give them a run and already they are paying out 200 raven a day, nothing changed except the pool.

Minepools average hash rate is matching my miners hash rate and my miner has consistent shares with only .05% rejected. It would seem to me that Virtopia either is being dodgy or the miner and Virtopia are not communicating correctly.

Virtopia stats reporting is a bit different, for most it works out well but for w/e reason a few people see consistently low reported hash. Keep that in mind that is graphical and if in doubt take the miners reported hashrate.

The pool has went from 4GH up to 30GH recently so it is more stable on blocks and paying out very well. it is also now a top 10 pool

https://exp.virtopia.ca/pools

Whoa, there is one address mining @28.45719 GH/s So this is where the hash is comming from. Must be some kind of a large farm or something. That is a hashpower of ~1400 x 1080TI's

No doubt this is a huge farm or are there even Asics for Ravencoin which work fine? That much hash power comes from a professional guy.

I think the creation of ASIC for ravencoin will destroy the coin. In addition to the stability to ASIC due to the change of algorithms, it no longer has any advantages. If this happens before the fork - the result will be catastrophic for theprice and miners. Even if after that, the command will announce a change in the algorithm or any other actions with the source code.

Is the One address Mineority?  It also crashed out of virtopia for several hours.  How many Titan V's do they have?

edit: Regardless ASICs would be good news for Ravencoin.  It would bring tons of attention with crypto media videos and articles written about the issue.  Tron Black already has changes set up to void the ASICs off the network.  It would legitimize the whole project and price would go up due to professional action.

As long as other people or entities could also get those ASICs and put them to work. If only one group of people has access to good ASICs for this coin it's also a bit dangerous for the network.
1704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀【ANN】【ICO】🚀 0xcert - Create, own, and validate unique assets on chain [BONUS] on: July 24, 2018, 10:42:44 AM
Good evening. Maybe someone knows: is the 0xcert team planning to launch its own products in the near future?
It has already launched one out of two projects that it was promising to launch, so it isn’t right time to ask this question.

Already launched? I heard that the work on the academy is at the stage of early planning, so it’s too early to talk about the launch.
I meant KYC mechanism. It has even been already used in the ICO of this platform and it has approved itself.

Hmm combination of KYC and NFT looks promising. Is this original technology or is it joint development?

KYC is a huge market when it comes to required authentication for businesses in the online world.
1705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💰 StackBIT 💰💰 POS 900% APR 💰💰 Listed on Coinexchange and Stocks.Exchange 💰 on: July 24, 2018, 10:41:50 AM
I am currently half way through producing what I have called a Grey Paper which will set out the initial goals and desires of this coin, now whilst I am happy to move this coin forward I would like to reach out to you the coin holders and see if anyone else would like to join me.

In the past when I have taken over a coin and pushed it on I have all ways found it works best when there are several people involved, I am competent in workings and re development of the source code to include wallets, and marketing so your in fairly safe hands.

You will also note I have produced a new SBIT logo as I thought the original looked tacky and slapped together in a rush, but please if you don't like the new one let me know I all ways listen to the coin community.

Incase you have missed it, I have setup a twitter account that can be found here : https://twitter.com/sbit900 thsi is a very important tool within the AltCoin world as most people use it, so please follow it, and make the address known on other twitter accounts.

I am off work this week, so expect things to progress fairly promptly.

Also IDEAS I need to know what you all want from this coin, Its all well and good me giving you fancy new wallets and getting us added on other exchanges but what would YOU like to see in the future from this coin ? Its uses, is the 900% still workable, and what about TX fee's are they ok ?

I have my own opinions of coarse but what are yours ?

Thanks
TT

Mate as I said, join us on discord some ideas was talk there already we have some ideas as well, but I think the main staff its to get on new exchanger as fast as possible, we would like to help you on the way also, together we will do it! I still believe in this coin Smiley

If I read such a sentence that getting on a large exchange as fast as possible is more important than development, it becomes evident what your goals are (and they are not good).

Indeed I see no rush to get listed elsewhere just yet.

I would rather develop and make this something that is worth the bigger exchanges looking at us, there is much potential here I am sure.

TT

Can you please explain to me where you see the much potential here? Even the fundamentals of this coin are bad so what is it that convinces you so much?
1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]ICO IS LIVE🚀UBCOIN - EXCHANGE CRYPTOCURRENCY FOR REAL GOODS🚀 on: July 24, 2018, 10:40:54 AM
Now I understand that your project will be on all mobile devices LG? And on older devices it can be installed or only on new devices it will be?
If i don't have mistake, they said that UBCoin application will be pre-install automatically? About olders devices, i think like others android devices, we still using UBCoin app normally.
Yeah that's what I understand with their partnership with LG, those new LG smart phones has pre-installed Ubcoin marketplace apps. I think the apps will also be available at Play Store soon for those have old model smartphones. Indeed, all of us has a chance to use this Ubcoin marketplace platform.

The partnership with LG is a great achievement as long as it also means that they are putting something useful together.
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡⚡[ANN] [PRE-ICO] ⚡⚡ PHILANTHOR ❤️ Blockchain Philanthropy Foundation ⚡ LIVE ⚡ on: July 24, 2018, 12:41:25 AM
How does this Philanthor plan on harnessing a collective intelligence?  now the little people can become a philantropist!! Decentralizing a good deed!

People have ideas, and moral values. These are not necessarily reflected in today's world, where decisions are taken based on political views, and capital interests. This is where philanthropy foundations come into place and fill the gap. You can see the work of Gates Foundation for example. They come in and help in areas where governments or financial corporations do not participate enough. We are the same, the only difference is that we want to run it based on the collective intelligence of our members. We like to hear what you are interested to fix in the world, what illnesses, gender inequalities, etc... and act based on those inputs from the members.

https://www.philanthor.com

There is a huge problem with starting a philanthropy foundation out of nowhere for a reason. You mention Bill Gates, but trust has never been an issue since he used his own money and was the richest man in the world when he got started. It's very different when a few guys launch a thread and want to collect investor money to do the same. How much are you putting up to get the fund going? I am not saying your intentions are bad, but there are dozens and dozens of trust issues with this approach.

That's a good point. More than that - this is exactly the point of what we are doing: to allow anyone to become a real philanthropist not only the rich and famous (many of them doing it as a way of saving taxes on their investments and personal assets).

We have pre-allocated about 60% of all the token supply to give away for philanthropy, and another 50% of all the proceeds of the token sale for donations. The whole model is described in the white paper here: https://www.philanthor.com/assets/whitepaper.pdf

Blockchain makes this much more transparent than any traditional foundation in the world today, which aren't accountable to any of their donors. Blockchain solve a lot of trust issues: transparency, traceability and accountability. So if one is ok with donating to any traditional foundation or charity, one should be more than happy with donating to a foundation that is running on a transparent open ledger.

I think you should focus on some very specific causes in order to get the word out and show that you can make an impact. If you just distribute your tokens and call yourself a philanthropic project people may not believe you. I think you should focus on something to get started and demonstrate how it could work.
1708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💰 [ANN][ICO][AGT] 💰 AGATE - Paypal for crypto currencies 💰 on: July 24, 2018, 12:39:18 AM
I have been using Paypal for many years & I am in Crypto industry now.
That is so great to hear that there is a solution of Paypal for crypto currencies.

I am with you.!

Yes Agate is proposing a solution of PayPal which has been a bit strict for some particular countries, most people find PayPal very convenient and easy while others find it stressful, but this however depends on your operation with PayPal,
PayPal is a secure payment processor but Agate will include the use of crypto in its platform which is great.

PayPal could do the same within a blink of an eye. If they see that the implementation of cryptocurrencies is necessary in order to stay competitive I think they will do it.

Its too bad they dont see the potential in it. But this makes other projects work for it and become succesful.

No it's not too bad because they would still be a centralized company with all the power in their hands but we want decentralized companies.

Now the market coin is generally the same, most COINS are cheap, all projects are facing the same problem, it does more harm than good without panic selling.

As long as everything does not go down further this maybe a good opportunity for everyone who wants to get into this.
1710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DTX] Digital Ticks Token Sale - FIRST EVER COMMODITY - CRYPTO EXCHANGE on: July 24, 2018, 12:37:47 AM
they are going to reach a turnover of 200,000 BTC per day! This is an incredibly huge number, and I'm sure that with such turnover there will be  favorable conditions for trade. Turnover of 200,000 bitcoins is amazing! I also wonder how much time the company is going to achieve such an incredible result?
According to their Roadmap: 15 May ‎2019
1000+ cryptocurrencies listed, daily exchange volume expected 200000+ BTC.
So we need to wait for 1 year to see such a turnover of funds on the stock exchange) Of course everything will turn out, how can it be otherwise?
Well 1 year is not really a lot. Usually exchanges reach such a huge turnover in a few years, and the company plans to achieve this even earlier. So I hope they succeed! The company employs professionals and they will do everything possible to make the result even faster.
And I like that there will be 1000+ different tokens here. Now I can trade only on one exchange, and do not worry about the fact that I need to switch to others and see how things are there.

In the future we will probably see thousands of tokens because everything can be tokenized. Have fun trading! Smiley

aworker showing great adaptability to markets. not afraid to make a bold change to their tokenomics or their project. Ive been watching this from afar. Keeping a keen eye on this one, could be a sleeping giant

It is not about their tocenomics. They have been working hard at all the details and now have a version they want to develop. This is interesting stuff.
1712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: July 24, 2018, 12:32:49 AM
Tokenpay end 2018 150$ ltc 550$.i guess Tpay does have alot of room for growth in terms of the market cap but LTC should get a bit higher than that IMO.

Based on what assumptions did you come up with that statement? The market cap of Litecoin is quite bit already.
litecoin volume is 339 million$ today its a huge volume and having more then 5 billion market cap
when some services stop then  new will starts
and according to the market litecoin's price is bottom by my point of view
and some rumors says that market bullish movments soon to start
and its showing on coins market cap
all of sudden bitcoin and all the altcoins are starts rising

Rumors and what not don't count. Litecoin needs some breakthrough to give people a reason to use it.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡⭐⭐ [ANN] DISPATCH LABS – Scalable smart-contract platform for infinite data on: July 24, 2018, 12:31:59 AM
I watch this branch every day in the hope that the team will launch a bounty company. Now very few good projects and this project I hope will be interesting.
I also monitor the project already long enough, however I consider what about bounty already to ask not absolutely to the place because developers will hardly start it at this late development stage. However, everything can be, but probability very low.
as far as I know, the team promised to launch a bounty campaign. But so far I have not seen any updates about this. Perhaps the team is still working on this?

The campaign is really being decided upon still, given the legal landscape of it all.  However once we have something concrete, it will be posted everywhere on social media + bitcointalk.

What's the legal "landscape" of a literally data storage platform? It would be like Microsoft not releasing the new version of SQL cause legal issues

Legal landscape for investment opportunities; therefore the SEC is involved (given the new laws surrounding cryptocurrency), once the SEC is involved we have to be very careful and compliant.  Let me know if this makes sense, the protocol/platform itself isn't what the bounty campaign is centered upon, its the distribution of tokens. So, the bounty campaign involves what could be classified by the SEC as an investment. Therefore we have to comply with them and work around a lot of red tape. Thanks for understanding.

SEC is only an issue if you want to get on US exchanges or is it a problem anyway for you?

dates are not yet defined but I do not think it's worth worrying, it's possible that everything will be faster when the market becomes better

Are you aiming for a month during summer or could it be delayed indefinitely?

I really feel good when i see webchain is on the first pages of the forum, this is the only coin that has allowed me to mine using my computer and some old phones, I feel good.

That's the ideal form of a decentralized coin, but for that to work as a sufficient security for large networks you would need a lot of people to participate.

Good afternoon. I notice more and more people talking about prospects of NFT, but i havent figured out what the motivation in. Can anyone explain it?
In brief, it’s possible to tokenize much more items with the help of NFT than with the help of interchangeable tokens.
Yes, but, as far as i know, the tokenization process is complex. That’s why NFT isn’t widely used yet.
The main reason of slow-down was absence of set of tools, but the 0xcert team is working on this actively.

If they can make it become a very easy process to tokenize anything it would be a killer app.
