1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Transaction failed on: February 02, 2018, 06:14:56 AM
I deposited some Bitcoins in a betting site but it could not get completed in 3 days even. I contacted the support and they told me that I had given less fee and thus it will never go through. Are they lying ? What is the solution to this ?
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: looking for bitcoin horse racing betting on: February 02, 2018, 06:11:40 AM
I would suggest you to go for Betonline.AG. Here are some of the features:

1) You do not have to pay any fees for BTC deposits and these are confirmed after 6 confirmations.

2) Withdrawal fee is only 2% and you get the money in bank account in 48 hours.

3) There are lot of horse racing best like daily double and pick 3.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting in bitcoin is legal or illegal? on: February 02, 2018, 06:05:31 AM
There are different laws in different countries. You need to check the laws in your country. In my country there is a rule that only those gambling practises are allowed where there is some skill involved. Even then, it is completely banned in some of the states.
1724  Other / Meta / Re: Don't forget to give merits to the thread starter on: February 02, 2018, 06:03:07 AM
I've seen several threads with a good starting post, ands lots of merits for the replies, but none for the thread starter.

I have a different opinion. I think, you have more chances of getting merits if you are the thread starter. If you post the same content in a relevant thread as a reply, less members will notice it.

If the guy hadn't started the thread, then all those good merited posts wouldn't exist. Smiley

This is true but the point of opening thread is that you are asking some doubt.
1725  Other / Meta / Re: Merit merit oh merit on: February 02, 2018, 06:00:18 AM
BUT I DO THINK WITH EACH PASSING DAY PEOPLE CONSIDER IT A WASTE OF TIME GIVING MERIT and there should be something for the giver as well.

There is something for merit givers if you watch carefully. By giving merits to deserving posts, you are helping this forum grow. As the forum grows, it will get better advertisement deals and thus the members can also expect better rewards in signature campaigns.
1726  Other / Meta / Re: Merit System Introduction / Rank Change on: February 02, 2018, 05:56:38 AM
I did not think it fair to change who changed the ranking just in the week of implementation of this new system. The merit should be proportional to the number of user activity, for example I have activity to be a full member (126) but I was awarded 10 merits , and a user with 60 activity earned the same number of merits (10) as me. This is not fair, it needs to be reviewed

See the admin has already made a decision and members have moved on with it. Some new members already reached the member rank by earning the merit points. I am also getting merit points for some of the posts I made and I think it really works. Better focus on what is in your hands now instead of complaining. All the best.
1727  Other / Meta / Re: Merit has Opened my Eyes on: February 02, 2018, 05:54:02 AM
       -   25% of my posts are shitposts   (These can stop)

This is common with lot of members here and the new system should be able to tackle this.

       -   30% of my posts are trying to be funny, but few ‘get me’  (Its in my DNA, can’t stop)

There is no harm in this. Provided you are on topic, I guess this only increases your chances of getting more merits.

       -   The rest are asking for info, answering someone else’s request, or ‘suggesting’ improvements to a vendor for poor ordering system.

I do not see an issue with this as well but make sure that you do not repeat a query already asked before.
1728  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 02, 2018, 05:49:42 AM
Dear old-timers of the forum, please explain, but what about those who are not of such a high rank as you, just learn, begins to understand the topic of crypto-currency, for example I can not imagine how I can fill 90 likes from 90 people ... This is not it that is impossible, for those who thoroughly studied the market, bitcoin and others, of course it is easy, but this is not true in relation to beginners and people of low rank. Remember yourself, was it easy for you to start? Now it's a hundred times harder. About 70% on the forum new accounts, which in this way you will not allow to develop. I mean about these accounts, which really try and are constantly on the forum. Why does not the rank increase for the amount of time spent? I would have long been not a member Grin Cry

P.S: Sorry for my english, if something is not right written

It is not that hard to achieve. For instance, I myself got about 23 points after the merit system ( in a week or so). Good thing is that I still keep getting merit points on old posts as more members notice it. Provided I keep making such posts, I am sure that I will reach the next level in 3-4 months. I agree with you that it is now harder than it used to be in past but consider it as a sacrifice we all have to make this forum a  better place.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: February 02, 2018, 05:45:50 AM
This is not strange but I think very probable. It might sound funny but I got a lot of female friends in casinos as well. You have to act confident and follow the basics though. Here you are taking advantage of the fact that both of you have some common interest. This gives you a topic to start the conversation.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do we need to gamble? on: February 02, 2018, 05:43:44 AM
Gambling is appealing just because it is easy money. You can get double or triple or even more in less than few minutes and it requires minimal effort. Even, investing money in Bitcoins requires you to analyse the past trends, make correct exit decisions and spend time reading the latest news related to Bitcoins. Also, there is fun element with gambling.
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker on: February 02, 2018, 05:39:16 AM
Let me tell you about Daniel Gates who is considered as the best Poker player in the world. People say that he is on his laptop even when he is taking his breakfast. If you want to increase your winning chances, you need dedication of that level. Otherwise you will remain a recreational player (called as fish) to be grabbed by other experts.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Was Your Gambling in 2017? on: February 02, 2018, 05:35:27 AM
Actually, I started Gambling with Bitcoins in 2017 itself. I have not made much profit but have learned a lot. First of all, I realized that 505 of casinos are scams and thus we should make proper research before joining one. Especially reading recent reviews of users on a neutral forum like this is very helpful. Also, I have better winnings with video slots for smaller amounts like $5 or so.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many satoshi's do you have to gambled a day. on: February 02, 2018, 05:31:17 AM
Max I have gambled is 0.01 in a day in total. I used to gamble a lot with Bitcoins but hardly won ever. Thus, I decided to try with low priced alt coins where less money is at stake. I do not have the time to check all my statistics to determine whether I am in loss or profit overall.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever stopped or removed from casino on: February 02, 2018, 05:28:00 AM
There is a popular casino in Goa by the name of Casino Pride. When I was in college, I went to Goa with my friends and we thought to give it a try. Unfortunately, we didn't have the entry money required (which was huge for us that time). So we could not even enter the Casino.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: February 02, 2018, 05:26:14 AM
Most of the people are addicted to gambling because of the money involved. A lot of people have lot of money to explore various leisure activities and I see nothing wrong it. But one thing that I recommend especially for students is do not use the money of your parents for gambling without their consent.
1736  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxes and crypto. on: February 01, 2018, 03:42:24 PM
I pay enough tax already outside the crypto field, so I am definitely not letting to government eat off any of my crypto holdings. The downside of this is that my freedom to have it converted back to fiat gets drastically limited by doing so. It doesn't mean that I can't have it sent to my bank account, but these bastards register and report everything, which is forming quite an obstacle. Good thing however is that I am not a fiat centric person, which means that I gladly keep holding on to my coins for plenty of more years, just like I have always been doing.

Will you not have to pay taxes the  time when you finally cash out ? I mean one day you will get the profits in banks and then how will hide those transactions. In my country, the Income tax department has already started raiding the exchanges and collecting the information of investors. Thereafter notices were sent to those who were investing huge amount of money in Bitcoins.
1737  Economy / Economics / Re: Becoming wealthy and social responsibility on: February 01, 2018, 03:27:09 PM
I think that we can think about giving only when we have in abundance. You can already see this with people like Bill Gates who donated most of their savings for charity work. I also plan to spend some of my savings from Bitcoin profit for charity work. There are a lot of people here in my country who do not have enough resources to achieve even two meals a day.
1738  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 01, 2018, 03:19:28 PM
what about the other guys who got ranked just before this merit system starts?

They are benefited by the fact that they joined early. Also, now that the change is implemented, we better move on instead of crying about the past.

i would rather to trust codes than trust humans , i like decentralization concept but this merit system is opposite of this concept , i dont know why they did this when it's not decentralize but bitcoin is populer coz it is decentralize ,

There is a problem with codes, it is easier to game such a system. How can codes check the quality of post ? They can judge content length and uniqueness but that is not what we want. Finally, this forum will not function based on what you and I like.
1739  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 01, 2018, 02:55:02 PM
1. I saw already on a couple of occasions a fresh account receiving merit for a “normal” post, no super valuable post to the topic really nothing special at all. Is that just a coincidence?

This may be abuse of the new system. Such people are being caught and given negative trust. This will make their account useless if they made it for signature campaigns.

2. The bounty and signature campaigns will keep the root problems. The Dear Sir guys with a high rank keep the rank and are still posting their rubbish all over the place. Campaign managers are often super arrogant providing no details or information whatsoever.

You can report such posts and the moderators will take care of that. Just because someone is doing a wrong things and still successful, it does not mean all of us should take the same route.
1740  Other / Meta / Re: What are the negativities of Merit system[UPDATED] on: February 01, 2018, 02:51:04 PM
1. The reverse effect. The merit-system was made in order to save the forum from the influx of useless posts, topics, etc. Today, "thanks to" the introduction of this system, we have the following: the creation of the same topics about new merit system, about shit-posts and the emergence of begging.

Keeping in mind how this new system affected the members here, I think it is obvious to expect so many threads. Also, this is not permanent. As people get used to this, we will have less of these threads.

5. Get-away. Many participants can make a decision to leave the forum, observing the current situation and the forum will be empty. The bottom line: on the forum will stay only "oldsports", but some people don’t understand, there are some newbies who benefit the forum and share useful information. If he is newbie on the forum, this does not mean that he is newbie in the field of crypto currency. I know many crypto-guys who into the theme of crypto for several years, but have not been registered at the forum or registered recently.

If you are knowledgeable (irrespective of your current rank), you should be able to make quality posts. And if you are making quality posts, you will get merits and rank up.
