I would vote for Ripple too.
As much as I don't like ripple, I think that it will do well. @ vince have you had a look at UNO? it's looking pretty good as a long term store of value, it's been steady throughout BTC's up's and downs. I think it will do really well this year.

Hi guys, i'm trying to compile this from source on linux mint 17.1 but I get an error when I do the qmake command and the same on QT creator:
leigh@Aspire-X3200:~/installed/Unobtanium-master > qmake /home/leigh/installed/Unobtanium-master/unobtanium-qt.pro:13: Extra characters after test expression. Error processing project file: /home/leigh/installed/Unobtanium-master/unobtanium-qt.pro
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
I'm not sure why line 13 is there, but you can safely remove it from unobtanium-qt.pro and try again. Edit: I've submitted a pull request on github for removal here. I'll try that when I get home on my main box.

Some updates on vTorrent development progress,
I have been working on vTorrent almost full time recently, adding many new unique features to the client, I just need to work on a few things more and new beta should be ready for public.
Here are some current screenshot,
....
To all community members, please do not hesitate to throw out some great idea for our upcoming betas. Sorry for the delays and thank you for your support as always.
A good idea would be if you could provide us with some proof of code. I am getting a little bit tired of only seeing screenshots. I am good with GIMP too, does not mean I can code. Not seeing any sign of implementing Torrent stuff either. Any community member using any version of Mac OSX and willing to help us test the pre-public beta version of the client, feel free to contact me. @Frigga77 I am sorry to let you down but I am seriously quite bad at GIMP Regards Just wondering, why didn't you compile a beta client for windows? Much more testers if you do. I sure hope you did not GIMP the pictures, but to me they do not say much until I see working code. You have a way of avoiding talking about technical details. And to me, that is worrying. I see that a lot of others like the concept of this coin, I do too, but I am just not that convinced that you are able to do what you promised. Did not see anything recently about the bug-solving either. Let's wait for him to release the new wallet and see where we stand.

Hm, by the way, why do you want trading via wallet ? And how it is related with torrents (obviously you have a concept, but i donīt get it, no offense, just curiosity). From the start the dev said he was going to be writing in wallet trading, when that was done he'd impliment the torrent stuff. I'm just happy to see some progress This is looking less scamish now.

Bob took a big SHIT OVER THIS coin, swerve this at all costs trust me, I lost thousands to Bob's tactics.

Still no reply from the dev.
Again don't listen to Rakesh

Still no dev.
I wouldn't buy anything till you hear from the dev.

Dev ain't deliverd SHIT, he's run away.
Another turd in the mountain of shit coin scams. Shame on you dev.

It's not dead, everyone is waiting for the dev to do something. I may not be one of the best and fastest developer out there but real development work takes time, I am spending a lot of my quality time in both designing and coding the client. Please understand that I am doing something, and updates will be release when they are ready. Regards Ok, you keep beavering away at it, and just post the odd update to keep the community happy, then this will be just fine Also about the premine, how about putting 1% up for bounties for the community to do work for the project? That way you will have 5% and you would also be showing good faith.

This smells of the scumbags who set up sbit and the million other scams, fuck this shit.
Bewarned.
|
|
|
In the OP is still stated that the premine is 3%, although, with 10 million coins after POS (instead of the intended 20 million), premine is 6%.
That is correct, we're waiting for the dev to respond.

The dev is not even around anymore. Sold my last remaining coins just now. I make some decent profit out of this coin overall. And goodbye to you all. This will be my last post here, it was fun while it last. Off to the next P&D coin, wonder what's next.
Dev haven't posted in 2 days. It must be a scam? lol@ your logic We better sell all our coins then Perhaps he's one of those people who needs constant reassurance? Remember this? I managed to get out of this shit coin with 4x profit, you ends up bagholding like an idiot. Good for you.

The problem with crypto space is that there are bright ideas, just not the talent to support them. You need to develop a way for verified magnets to be tacked on to each mined block. Already such a system requires a deep understanding of the Blockchain + torrents. Then you need to manage it so that there is less or no duplication. Then you have to avoid blockchain spamming , all the while making it interesting enough to draw in more users and seeders.
Not an easy task, not in the slightest.
It doesn't help that the dev only post when he feels like.
