1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: June 10, 2023, 11:35:34 AM
Gamblers will prefer a weekly and reliable form of reward which they know that they can set a target with and received their reward as quick as the task giving is achieved or completed, there are also some little challenges they would like to avoid having with the gambling platforms they would have been using whereby there will be delay in receiving their bonus, this are the areas that gamblers turned on to when it comes to receiving reward of any kind.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: June 10, 2023, 11:22:29 AM
This one never crosses my mind. I ask chatgpt and the AI says "As an AI, I don't have personal experiences or the ability to play poker". Right now, I don't think AI has the capability to such an extent, not even in the next decade. AI does not have feelings or emotions, therefore can not perform bluff which is one of the most important poker skills. If it's AI vs AI, maybe it will depend on the program and won't be as exciting compared to when human plays.

This is the common mistakes gamblers now engage with the use of AI because they believe AI can accurately work and reason as woman's, this development is more effective in some areas in gambling and that doest not mean it's now applicable to every aspect of gambling, they are just systems built on advanced technology to make work easier amd for us to have a better experience when engaging in doing a task, not that they now have every tenacity of behaving like human do.
1723  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: June 10, 2023, 10:48:05 AM
It's amazing, but many gamblers play casinos just to get rid of the money. Many writers, musicians and poets have played in casinos and lost large sums of money. They had no money after they lost and to support themselves they wrote their works. Losing was an inspiration to them.

We have to realize that not all gamblers count loosing in gambling as a big challenge, the greatest fear of some gamblers is the most desiring thing others have loved to do, there are many talents showcase on the gambling casino house and people spend alot of money there not minding how much have they spent through the process as long as they were been served with enough entertainment, that is their own choice and lifestyle they choose together with gambling.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 10, 2023, 10:30:36 AM
    -   Of course if that happens I will still keep my bitcoin in a non-custodial wallet, this is the only safe way apart from having your own hardware wallet. So there are many options or methods in these situations.

In gambling, there is a higher chance that the government will control it, but in bitcoin, it is very unlikely that will happen. You know the government of other countries think of nothing but to manipulate what they want to manipulate if there is benefit and they will benefit from it.

Will you now because of this avoid gambling and hodl your your cryptocurrency in your wallet without gambling? Could this be possible and is it not easier said than done, what if you try to locate a casino that requires no KYC from tou and uses it to gamble and maintain every means to privacy and security measures, am not advising to go against your country law but they cannot moderate gambling to the fullest as far as am concerned.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 10, 2023, 09:59:13 AM
Gambling is not about getting quick rich, it is an activity to have fun not for making money. A steady income is possible only with investment or business but gamblers can't make it for a long time, IMHO. Gambling as a form of business has the same purpose to be created by owners: Making money. Since our loss is profit for the house, any business model will not let such a "steady income" case happen. That is why gamblers shouldn't fall in such schemes and trust other people's opinions.

As long as one is gambling but seing no positive results in response to how he has been giving it in gambling then the next thing is to take note and act accordingly by finding an additional means to source for an income by not totally depending on gambling for sustainability, even the casino owners don't arrived their targets sometimes in gambling and it's not about the establishment of a casino alone that all matters, their demands for maintenance as well, only few gamblers made this lucky win of hitting the jackpot while many only gamble to create scenes in having fun.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: June 10, 2023, 09:43:21 AM
Most probably gamblers that bet on sports that they didn't know are only relying on the odds given by the bookmaker. I'm doing this on some of the UFC fights. I don't watch frequently this kind of sports but I sometimes place bets based on the odds because that's based on the statistics.

Even if you knew exactly the sports you are betting doesn't guarantee you a win. It's still based on your analysis and most of the time odds provided by the sportsbook govern simce bookmaker knew the underdog and the dominant on each picks. They are just relying on the house edge for their profit.
It is true that even if you know a sport really well there is not any way to know you will win your bet, but I would say your chances increase if you know the sport, after all if you just pick a bet based on the odds given, you have no way to know if the athlete you picked will outperform or underperform during their next match.

But instead if you are a fan of the sport in question you will have a better idea of those factors, which will allow you take a more informed decision about the possible outcomes and the chances they have of actually happening.

Any longed time gambler should know that gambling is just a matter of trying your own luck coupled together with how good you're in planning on a particular strategy to gamble with, we see some results as exactly predicted by us sometimes but this isn't what is common, some other time we may have the results that we never expected to see, we should always understand that these are the likes of risk that we may also come across in gambling either when we are winning or loosing, but the house will always have an upper edge over us.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can this be effective against the increasing numbers of gamblers? on: June 10, 2023, 08:13:39 AM
Quote

The Premier League have confirmed clubs have voluntarily agreed to remove gambling sponsors from the front of their matchday shirts from the start of the 2025/26 season.

This is a move to try to reduce promotion of gambling in the premier league with it's increasing audience, do you think it can successfully reduce the number of people who gamble? What do you think? Will these gambling platforms not just move to other sports, do you think other sports that wear their sponsors name in England will adopt this new development in the premier league?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/premier-league-clubs-to-remove-gambling-sponsors-from-front-of-shirts/ar-AA19Ogeu

Do you think gambling is still under this myopic view that got affected by the branding they inscribed on their jersey during the match, or the advertisement made to popularize the whole show, some things are nothing but a funny attempts because as far as gambling is concerned today, if they removed this display on their shirts the sponsors names doesn't increase or reduce gambling, moreover it having a large number of spectators or fans is what gambling and sports in general needed, advert or no advert people will gamble as they want.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 10, 2023, 07:58:30 AM
You will start to feel remorse only after you lose your money, I've not seen anyone that feels remorse before starting to gamble, unless, he feels worried about himself, thinking that the road he is about to set on can make him change for ever, if you ever feel like this it's better to stop, because the mind is a very powerful part of the body, sometimes the mind can make things happen to us.

You know yourself better than anyone, if your mind is trying to warn you about what you are planning to do, sometimes it's better to put an end to that plan.

Gambling is not by force that we must do, we shouldn't engage doing what will lead to regret or great repercussions later in life because we can't just take hold of controlling our urge for gambling, everyone need to put themselves in other and remain determined not to allow gambling takes them to where they bever expected to landed at, but we must start that today with caution while gambling by knowing when to gamble and when not to and stop deceiving ourselves that we are sleeping while there's fire on the mountain, everything has time and season.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you Considered a Career in Betting Consultancy? on: June 10, 2023, 07:45:21 AM
Just like Tony Bloom and others, it is possible that you can turn your hobby into a profitable business venture if you are confident of your skillsets. Have you ever considered a career in betting consultancy?

Why not, as long as it's something worth doing and can earn me a living, are there no people making game forecast, odds providers, influencers, promotersz developers and even retailers in gambling sector, as long as what I will offer as a service in gambling is profitable enough to earn me a living expenses cover, everything is about being a hard-working person, because in doing so, it opens more rooms for opportunities to come in with various areas of it applications, people are making career and professions in gambling through what they offer, deliver and discover as long as it makes an opening for earnings opportunities.
1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 10, 2023, 07:24:44 AM
I did it many times back when my addiction is very high, I promise not to gamble after I lose a big amount I even swear that I will not, but the following day I'm back even promising to be better and not lose a big amount again.

How many of us are guilty of this?

We are all bound to mistakes because to err is human, sometimes we engaged in saying some words which we know or may not know that making the fulfilment to those spoken words could turn an haculian task for us, some things were easier said than done, we need to always out a caution to our mouth sometimes so that we won't engage in making void promises and later result to being unable to fulfill them, it has happened to me countless times and i believe this a common encounter that many gamblers would have been dealing with same challenge over time, spoken words were easier said than done.
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 10, 2023, 07:03:53 AM
When you were able to make $1000 to $100k, surely it is possible for you to make $100k to $1000k. You need to follow the same process as that you did to make $1000 to $100k. The mistake from your side is going all in one. At some point you're looking for a much faster way to reach your dream target. This is where the loss is happening and you gonna start from the scratch once again. You're really a great one, because not everyone is able to make it happen out of sports betting.

Maybe he should watch the movie wild card and learn from the gambling experience there, the more attempts you continue to make  keep winining will surprised you that the last move you may attempts will be the last chance that will render you total forfeiture of the entire earnings you been making frombthe beginning, he would have left and be satisfied with the little he has gained than taking risk on the entire money to make the last gamble, maybe he would have been given that opportunity to have something as take home.
1732  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoins for naija need prayer support on: June 09, 2023, 03:04:00 PM
Snipped

Somethings need no prayer at all, do we actually needs prayer for the government to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender, we the leadership realized that what the people want is financial freedom but they don't want to allow it, aren't we the problems to the current status of what we are facing today, this may not apllies to Nigeria alone but every part of the world is concerned, it's all about our individual selfish ambitions and interests which requires no prayer because we know ourselves and those involved.
1733  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Is Not Male Dominated on: June 09, 2023, 02:49:49 PM
There are more men in bitcoin than women, but the number of women will increase. As a woman I have taken up a role in talking to my few friends who are also female about bitcoins. I have told them of the need to invest more in Bitcoins instead of investing all their money into skin care, hairs, bags, clothes and Jewelry. Taking care of ourself is good, but to not be a liability, knowing about investments is a good way to do that. If I can tell two ladies, and they tell their friends, more women will be interested in Bitcoins.

This is about people's interested and not a gender base policy, everyone is entitled to use bitcoin as long as it is not been centralized, not been regulated by gender, just as everyone has the right to own or possess the fiat currency, no one will query our women as well and we will be happy in celebrating their unique role on the entire cryptocurrency network, the more we encourage our women in joining the more they also gets motivated to join.
1734  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: JOHESU Suspends Strike For 21 Days After Meeting Tinubu on: June 09, 2023, 02:43:37 PM
The Joint Health Sector Unions and Assembly of Healthcare Professional Associations have suspended its indefinite strike for 21 days.

The suspension was announced after the leadership of the unions held a meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Monday.

The Acting National Secretary, Matthew Ajirotu, in a text message sent to our correspondent, said the president promised to approve their demands.

https://punchng.com/breaking-johesu-suspends-strike-for-21-days-after-meeting-tinubu/?amp

It a very pathetic experience that at this age we are still battling with the effect of strick action by many sectors of the economy, are the government to be blame on these or the people themselves, i don't even expect this coming from the health sector because they deals with people's lives, how will it appears it the president of the nation is not well and no any health or medical personel could attend to him due to strike action they have embacked on, but isn't it the poor and masses they were being affected with the consequences and not been attended to.
1735  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The effect of border opening to a country on: June 09, 2023, 02:37:56 PM
Opening of boarders has advantages and it disadvantages but provided that the government officials and leaders will be upto task by not being bias in their role and discharge of duties, the reopening is worth encouraging for because many illicit entries will be apprehended at he boarder entrance to curb all forms of infiltrations and importations of illegal weapons, drugs and other materials for use which could serve a big danger in transmission of illegal items to ones country.
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if its falls! Will altcoin survive? on: June 09, 2023, 02:32:18 PM
That's mean alternatively, if btc falls flat altcoin will dies off. What their deep relationship? Why btc important to altcoin, what's the connection in between? Will altcoins really survive without btc?

If fiat currency falls, nothing will happen to cryptocurrencies, if bitcoin falls, altcoins will suffer great injuries, some will die along because bthey may never have such opportunity to rise again, also if bitcoin should fall down completely, expect altcoins to have been in extinction, but i believe bitcoin will not die if if could sustain the rigorous experience over the fourteenth years of it existance, it has come to stay.
1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have betted 100$ on this token [BSC CHAIN] and I explain why on: June 09, 2023, 02:27:16 PM
To be honest, if you were wanna writing crappy article about your token and this is not the right place. You just found your own token, and that's it. Your main intention was to promoting your shit scam meme token and no more.
You have been introducing the crappy token that can be easily identified as the scam token with no interest from the crypto users.

You shall withdraw your own liquidity that already added to your crappy token.  Cheesy

You're right as i think the altcoins discussion board needs more sanitation than it has always been approached by many newbies of this forum and bunty hunters, promoters and influencers, they only take here for granted in using the altcoins discussion board for advertising their shitcoins they were being paid for, no one is against them doing so bit doing it on the wrong board is what should be totally go against, this does not applies to OP alone but every promoter of such, that's why there's service board.

1739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New alt coin, Islamiccoin. 1m+ followers on twitter on: June 09, 2023, 02:07:59 PM
There's something I am yet to understand about this project, why did you post with another username instead of the project name. Meaning there's something phishy going on, to me the project night be genuine but the way you presented it makes it look very suspicious and someone may not want to looking into this coin. I think there are more you need to put down here to convince people the more and also, try get a copper member rank to be able to post image and make your post looks very interesting.

As am concerned I don't think the Islamic coin has been introduced yet on this forum  neither do they have a representative in here despite the coin has already been discussed here before several times, am not sure he's there representative either, but what he's doing is what i count that he himself does not know the consequences because it's a clear promotional attempt that he's doing here on the wrong board, here being an altcoins discussion board doesn't mean we can advertise coins as well on the same board, there are boards specialized for that, i also don't think that Islamic coin or anything that has to do with religious affairs believe in anything like this, coming to the forum.
1740  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 09, 2023, 01:52:53 PM
I do not trust any casino that the data is safe, if nothing else the exchanges are capable of giving our data if they are asked for it, an easier casino that can give them because they are games of chance, it is easier for them to be attacked by governments and their enemies, it is very easy for these data to be transferred, that is why we have to be quite suspicious at all times, and that does not mean that casinos are bad or that they are thieves, but that they do not We know what problems they may face and even possible hacks, which is something they cannot control sometimes.
The important thing is that we can always be careful when playing gambling and not play gambling at suspicious casinos to avoid getting into trouble. If we already have a trusted casino on our list, we should always use that casino to play gambling because the casino will take good care of its customers. And if we are asked to do KYC, the data we send will also be properly guarded because trusted casinos always try to provide security for all of their members. So we can be calm and don't need to worry because the casino will do its best to protect the data of its members. And they will also make sure the security is always updated.

Why is it that we are always lazy in finding what we want, if we are good about using a KYC casino then we can always settles for that but get ready in providing them with the required and nece information as requested each time, if we think about using a casino that will bot request for KYC then we can engage more on searching for one till we finds, because there's no guarantee that we will have our privacy secured with any KYC casino or gambling platforms.
