1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Algorand dead or can it recover? on: June 08, 2023, 03:50:33 PM
I hold Algorand and not sure if I should buy these low prices or just hold and accept its over ??

It is currently at its lowest price in 3 years and almost at its all time low.

The SEC labelling it a security has put a lot of fear into everyone.

Does it have a future or is it over?

It depends on the people or developers behind it, if they succeeded in maintaining it value in the market this may just but only be the best avenue to make money with huge profits if you can hodl and buy the dip the more, there will definitely be a time coming sooner or later where the market will rise back and you will by then make some good return from your investment, but always have it at the back of your mind that cryptocurrencies takes risk on investment, some may go down and never recover again if it went liquidated i will advise you engage more and deeper research.
1762  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: June 08, 2023, 02:58:37 PM
To me using your cards online is stupid and only dump ass do that mostly when you use those card on unreoutabke sites and platforms that have high disadvantages on the player, we have had issues like this where players complain of exploiting their card details so it is not safe to use your credit card online.

We cannot make a conclusion on those using it because some were out of ignorance while some intentionally shows I don't care attitude towards it thinking that nothing bad or is at stake in doing so, well you can now see for yourself also that the way we all handle matters is different from each other, which also means that we should not handle anything that has to do with our information and privacy with lesser priority and care.
1763  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 08, 2023, 02:33:16 PM

It's okay what you said, if we don't want to get into trouble with gambling we should just stick to a casino that has a proven track record in cryptocurrency gambling. The one that we have experienced winning and had no problem with withdrawing. Even if we go back and forth in gambling here, it's okay because we are satisfied with it because of the trust we have.
Because if we try with others who are new to this industry, the risk is quite high for sure for us.
Yes and aside from sticking to the casinos with track record for the safety of our data, we must also have it at the back of our minds to constantly play on decentralized casinos or those that are 100% KYC free if we can.
That way we will not have any reason tosupplye our KYC documents at any point and if we only play on that casino then there won't be any possible data linkage.

There's nothing like sticking to a particular gambling platform as long as they are using an online wallet custodial means to have our wallet they creates, take our personal informations on their KYC system, there's no gow we can't be sure that they will not use them against us later in life, so it's either you opt in for a KYC casino or a no KYC casino and get decentralized, if not we stand the same risk with those using any form of centralized exchanges or kyc casinos and our informations remained unsafe with them always irregardless of how long we've been loyal in using them.
1764  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: June 08, 2023, 01:41:36 PM
~ There's what people called free giveaways, where you're permitted to join a quest for receiving anything for free if you're lucky or being eligible, gambling is all about playing games, both live or virtual games and sports, you bet by using your money to stand in for you that if your prediction is accurate, you stand a chance to make a winning, i don't count anything that does not do with money a gambling because you're not staking anything for such.

And you are right, imo, because gambling, by definition, is about staking something valuable. Yes, some activities, when nothing valuable is at stake, still called "gambling" sometimes, but those cases are the topic of discussion rather on linguistic forums than here in Gambling section.
The reason why many people choose to gambler is to make more valuable profits from what they do. You put your money so that you can make more money which is simple. If you don't bet we'll or have to amounts of luck for you to make a winning, then you are going to lose money totally without getting it back. You win other lose, if other win, you lose. Simple pattern of how gambling works.
Let's say no pain no gain because money is the pain and the risk you take to be able to win something and even though you play on a demo account you won't have any winning and at that, it will amount to nothing because you did not stake any real amount, so it becomes boring to keep playing,  but on the other hand staking with real money bring in the excitement to keep playing since the winning will become the motivation to keep the game on.
A trader can learn good trading by using demo account. But never get a taste of gambling using this demo account. Gambling doesn't take long to learn. Neither the cost of losing nor the joy of winning is reflected when a gambler conducts betting on a demo account. Unless the gambler panics between winning and losing, it cannot be considered gambling. Because according to the basic rules of gambling there must be an element of loss and gain through money or anything else.
Demo account basically gives gambling experience but full fake money is used here.  And various gambling platforms provide the facility of demo account so that users can increase their gambling experience by gambling with fake money in this demo account and later gamble with real money carefully.  It will reduce the possibility of his financial loss. there are many people who don't understand gambling very well but get interested in gambling after hearing others' profit stories and watching others gambling, in this case demo account can help them a lot to understand gambling and get some practical ideas.

Talking about the demo account, those are things already out of discussion becau they aren't gambling but a child's play wheb ome is preparing his way down to gambling in full, these are much of a training ground and serve as a preparatory stage one meeds to learn how to run a gambling platform, make bets, withdraw and deposit money, create an account, ake some wagers and set the pace on ground, there could be many forms of attempts to arguments, quarrelling and discussions about sports which all ended in just words of mouth except money is used to stand in for those involved, one may not regards it as gambling or take it more serious as expected than when money is involved.
1765  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: June 08, 2023, 12:01:22 PM
ToS are not meant to work or be used against a gambler except the gambler was the one found violating the rules stated from it, but if not in this case, any gambling platform found with the violation of these as used against it users should be reported and avoided completely, there are many gambling platforms one can always try out if the one you're using is not trusted anymore and challenges like this make us always advise gamblers not to have the money they cannot afford loosing on their casino wallet.
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: June 08, 2023, 11:09:19 AM
That's the reason  why as a gambler we need to know first our self-control and self-limitations. Because there are two effects of gambling the positive one and the negative one and we all aware of that. Cause beyond our limitations then we can not control our self such us we bet out of our plan then that's the time called that that we obsessed with gambling and if we can not control that then it will lead us to addiction.

We should also not expects this emotional imbalance with gamblers to have a solution coming from the gambling platforms, they would rather want a continuation of it and if possible with an addition, because that's part of the means they make their own money from, they are not after the control of our experience and consequences we are placed with, if we cannot condole a modest life experience with gambling, should they be the ones to fix that up for us?
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: June 08, 2023, 10:28:05 AM
Am done with lotteries, no matter how many times I had tried it's only seem like a bad luck for me. Lottery is believed to be cheaper to get involved in or participate compared to casino gambling but the luck to win in lottery compared to casino gambling is very slim if not near impossible looking at the number of persons that participates in a single lottery. But for casino gambling you could be sure of winning at least a single wager out of ten times bets, only that casino gambling takes much money out of the pocket than lottery does.

The two are different things, when you gambles it's entirely different from taking chances on lottery, base on my knowledge about lottery, it can comes in any forms, you don't have to make use of your money in applying, some are government backed lottery with their criterials, but just as you've mentioned that the opportunity there is vert weak because alot number of people applied but few were selected, but everything is by choice and interest, if we so wish to gamble we fan go for it or combine the two altogether.
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: June 08, 2023, 10:05:15 AM
As AI gets smarter, I believe that one day it will be able to help users predict the final outcome of a match based on various data they have collected and advanced calculations. But still, I personally will not use this prediction at random, I will match this result based on my personal analysis and if it is correct then I will use the prediction results from this AI.

Gamblers can always get tips and suggestions that may be very helpful in gambling but not to rely on the use of AI to generate their gambling experience and make it a lifestyle, just as you've also advised that it not good enough to rely completely on the use of AI in gambling, we have to make use ot it the appropriate way because these same thing is what everyone will want to do by being totally dependent on the outcome of the use of AI while they are gambling which may not be possible because the casinos will be affected as everyone wins, but one can alwa adjust and readjusted the AI results received.
1769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll management discussion on: June 08, 2023, 09:22:10 AM
I mostly bet on a fixed percentage, but there are times when i'll break that rule and go for bigger bets. It also depends on the game i'm playing because on slots, I usually bet on the smallest amount you can place per spin because they're much faster, while on the live table games, I go for slightly aggressive bets that are around 5% or even higher as each round lasts one or two minutes long. I don't always withdraw my balance whenever i'm in profit because i'll have moments when I still want to play the next day.

Since the casino does not have a particular requirements for your bankroll then we must always ensure to deposit the amount we can afford to loose on our gambling casino wallet, we can also take consideration in reducing the rate in which we often gambles online to serve as control measures against uncontrollable means of engaging more bankrolls on gambling purpose, Everything lies with the gambler's decision
1770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll management discussion on: June 08, 2023, 08:45:10 AM
What percentage of your bankroll are using as your bet size. I read an article online before that 1% to 3% is the ideal for low risk gambling while 4% to 5% for aggressive gambling. I use the aggressive type bankroll management on most of my game because I’m always bored playing with minimum bets or low percentage of my bankroll because I knew that house edge will kill me long term.

We all have different sources of financial income and how often we also receives this income on a regular basis, as long as it's not more than 5% of your entire fund you can gamble with it, also just as you've stayed in your own case that one may have enough time to engaged being online and gambling for quite a longer period, there's also a need for moderacy whereby you can reduce the amount of stake used on each betting made in other to have increased numbers of attempts in it.

Are using a fixed percentage on your bets or you are just betting random amount? Also do you deposit your total bankroll and just withdraw if you are on target profit or stop loss or you are just depositing exact amount of money for your gambling without extra.

Some gamblers are just a random users that majorly base their gambling experience on what they received per day, which means the more they earn the more the likely chance of them gambling, some may use the entire money, others may use half of it and this could appear on any form to the gambler involved as long as they are not fix on a regular income source, the more they received the more they gamblew.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 08, 2023, 08:25:26 AM
I saw this online and thought maybe i should bring on to bitcointalk for discussion.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
If he loses money by gambling, he will surely regret it for a short time. Be it me or anyone else, any person will regret after losing a bet and that is normal. But the person who does not come to this repentance must realize that the person is totally addicted to gambling and he is going to destroy his life. I lost gambling several times and regretted it a lot. I don't gamble much because of that regret. The reason is that my regrets hurt me a lot and I can't deal with the pain of losing money easily.

Most of the cases of such occurrence happened when the gambler looses the bet he made and maybe the money used wasn't his own, he might have thought about taking such small advantage within the shortest period of time to gamble and realize some earnings within that short period of time, well i believed some might have engaged this kind of act and scale through but i can tell that it's a rare occurrence that they end up winning.

It depends on your conscience, if the reason or position that led you to gamble is on a free and neutral state then why should you get remorse for gambling, but when you gamble and get remorseful, it's rather an indication that you left what should have been done undone, or maybe taken the wrong step, decision or not to have even been in the best position to gamble as at that time you did, let's be reminded that the purpose of gambling is for fun and friendliness, when you gamble and none of this is achieved, then try to check yourself well because something is wrong.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 08, 2023, 07:46:46 AM
while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.

In the event that Bitcoin becomes illegal in my country, I will be selling all of my Bitcoin holdings and temporarily moving them into a more secure asset. While I await the verdict, I will only use just a portion of it to gamble and trade. I'll continue to take the risk if I can find another way to make use of Bitcoin freely in the event that the ban is enacted, just like other nations that have faced bans but still managed to find a way to use it.
However, I still believe that Bitcoin will always be supported and continuously being adapted in our country so we're far from this struggle and that's what I'm grateful about. That's also the reason why it's a good thing that we're embracing good opportunities that Bitcoin could offer here.

But in your case, don't you think that selling your bitcoin asset by diverting them into other form of asset doesn't deny you of enjoying the independent nature bitcoin has brought and the profitabilities you may stand to gain with your assets you hodl, if i may be oppotuned to suggest you, i will give it an opinion for you to consider a change in location from the country to another if possible, why i said so is because your country will never ve responsible for your failure in business and economy progress, you will always find yourself being.
1774  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Acronyms for DT on: June 07, 2023, 03:03:30 PM
Talking about the issue on DT matters, it's not a must you must be a DT member before you ca be trusted, you will gain people's trust the more they see you often performing well at doing what you can do best, being a DT does not place you more knowledgeable than other non DT members, you have to the right to customize your own trust list and list anyone you trusted there, the reason for that is on fare and accurate judgement needed from you whenever matters arising happened that needs a fair and free judgement.
1775  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 07, 2023, 02:55:38 PM
The common goal of either holding or lending out our asset to people is to make money, if you invest by holding, you're more prone to making more money because you will be on the advantage to make more money in addition especially when the market rises in your favour, if you lend someone, there's a little probability that you may not get your money back on time as at when needed or due, you may have the risk of loosing it value due to inflation, but when you invest you're in charge, when you lend out the recipient is in charge
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [POLL] Will BNB crash? Will Binance go bankrupt? on: June 07, 2023, 02:47:58 PM
Today S.E.C. Accuses Binance of Mishandling Funds and Lying to Regulators. If Binance lose in this case then whole market gonna be drop drastically, I hope this doesn't get as bad as I imagine it to get.

Even if the government stopped Binance from operating there will be nothing to be felt on the bitcoin network except for other cryptocurrencies which have been using their platform for their own money, promotional offers and many more on the exchange, i will also pity those that will be having their asset on them, because everythingay end as sooner as possible if they succeeded into victory over the exchange.
1777  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: the impact of the border reopening and the unified exchange rate on the naira on: June 07, 2023, 02:40:56 PM
The boarder has already been opened since the administration of the immediate past president PMB, the issue there was that it was a partial reopening and they never allow the importation of many items despite it had been declared opened, i also read through a news feed that the recent and trending news concerning the Lagos boarder reopening was nothing but what has already been made and no more news, now we don't know what is ahead and which we should believe not until the people begin to feel the impact of this on the economy through price reduction.
1778  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Knowing your place in God as our heavenly father. on: June 07, 2023, 02:33:41 PM
Well, what about people who don't believe in the Bible? There are about 4-5 billion people who do not believe in the Bible!!!
Can they reach knowledge or is this impossible in your opinion?

What he might have been missing out lies in the ability of not knowing that everything does not have to do with being religious, there are other means we can sounds more clever and knowledgeable without involving any religious matters along, though we all believe that God is the creator of all things and also he have already established man in form of angels among us that we don't have to suffer a long way before achieving anything on earth.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still a good invest? on: June 07, 2023, 02:26:52 PM
They are many meme Coin here in the cryptocurrency market, which saying about Shiba Inu coin has already established and listed in Binance Exchange, while floki Inu have not listening in Binance but have a strong communities, is still good to invest, while waiting for the next Bull Run. Secondly what matters is the entry point of buying, which the take analysis and making research before investing in any meme coin's.

We cannot say that investment on altcoins isn't good anymore because many have made their way through as a result, despite the increasing rate of scam and losses many people have made through these process, it's not about investing in them, you have to research about them and take risk, if you're lucky enough you will succeed in it as we are approaching the next year bullrun, the general crypto market will soon rise.
