1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Used Computer Equipment For CryptoCurrency Unsafe? on: September 30, 2019, 11:18:12 PM
Unfortunately there's no fairly used Computer Equipment that's safe for cryptocurrency, or safe for any type of document generally. Many used Computer equipment are purposely hacked before there are sell out, this was my experience when i worked with Computer dealers years back, they do the hack, sell to their friends and then exploit their systems for selfish interest. Just to gain access to their privacy.

Advise: Buy fairly used Computer equipment, format the system by self or another dealer and then do the installation by self.

Are you serious?  When you say these people do this, what exactly are they hacking?  Like bank accounts and debit/credit cards?  Or just bring noisy?  Because if they hack back account, the owner can contact bank and get it back.
He is just extremely paranoid. Preparing computer to hack it's future user is almost impossible. How exactly seller can predict if future user of hardware that he sold will use it to watch cats on youtube or to store bitcoins?

How much cost and time would it take a user to put malware in something like those 2 items i listed?

Okay just entered new password and went into my waves account thanks.

So i just went to my portfolio and what i notice is it shows qualified coins.  Then there is all active coins.

So the active coins... its all i have but most of these are scam coins right?

Now why is it in qualified, liquid is not there?  Back then i remember it was worth something to waves but now the value is 0?  Back then i remember you could get like maybe 1 wave for ever few liquid?

Also i lease my waves and back then i would always get a ton of this thing called waves something.  I dont remember name.  Now there is no more?

Anyone know this?  So liquid is now worth $0?

1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: September 17, 2019, 05:37:31 PM
So how in the world do those users even withdraw funds then if their ip address are blocked?

Okay so they didn't ask for my location when i registered binance.  No wonder why i can log in without an issue.  But had i did verification with them with my US documents but im outside the US with a nonUS ip address, would that mean i could no longer log into binance now?

So as long as you are unverified and outside the US when you created an account, you are free to use as you please?  What about users who registered from the US but visit outside the US?  They can or can't access their accounts with nonUS ip address?

1785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: September 17, 2019, 04:20:36 AM
I opened a binance account over 1 year ago.  I'm American but I'm outside the US almost all year.  I did just a few trades on binance, nothing much.

As of now, US customers cannot log into binance with their US IP addresses?  Or they still can?  What about those US customers who still have coins in binance?  Can they still withdraw?

When you register, it does ask you what country you are from right?  Did it ask you for your address?  When i registered for binance last year, i don't remember if they ask me any of these questions.  My account is not verified.  I am outside the US at the moment and can log into binance.  So i can still trade while outside the US?  Is there a way to find out if i registered as a US customer when i created an account?  I do not remember if binance ask me any of this.  So is it fine keep my coins in binance still or withdraw the,?

1787  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 08:29:50 PM
Well if you do lot of transactions whether small or medium or big, always upgrade it to bech32 addresses?  When did this came a thing?  I never heard of bech32 address previously.

Well it cost me like 8 cent and 3 cents to send those 2 transactions each.  The last one i did it took a bit over 30 minutes or so.  So you are saying if you upgrade to bech32 addresses, instead of 8 cents or 3 cents for a transfer, it would be like half of it or something?  I notice if you put 1 sat, it comes to like 2 cents or so... which is pretty low already.

But you are saying if i don't upgrade, even if i send 1 sat each time, it will cost 2 cents but can take long if lot of ppl in queue.  But if i upgrade to bech32 address, you are saying if i send the 4 sat which is the standard, it is even faster?  Or you mean if you upgrade to bech32, you can always send 1 sat and its very fast?  So with bech32 address, instead of 4 sat being about 7 cents, it would be like 3 cents or something?
1788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Client Error Login? on: September 15, 2019, 06:33:38 PM
You mean download waves desktop client on the wavesplatform site again before i do this?  Or which one?

1789  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Creating New Coinbase Account Question? on: September 15, 2019, 06:33:07 PM
No i still did this not do this.  I just never did it.

I want to know if others here has done it.
1790  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 06:29:50 PM
In other words, don't bother with it right?

Transaction went through earlier.  I did another transaction this time but lowered the fee to 3 sat because someone said they did 1 sat and transaction is still fast.  But now it shows the ETA is 20 blocks or so.  Earlier it was a few blocks when i did the standard fee.

So if you send 1 sat or 2 sat, expect it to take almost 1 hour or so?  But anything standard or more, 30 minutes?
1791  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 06:06:13 PM
Okay i just noticed now it shows 3 confirmations on the explorer.  But the site that i sent to, it still shows as pending confirmation.  They require 3 confirmations before they credit account.

So as long as it show confirmations, that is fine right?  I think site takes a bit longer to credit.

I notice in the bottom on the explorer info, it said i saved like 25% by upgrading to segwit but could save 13% mofe if i upgrade to native segwit- bech32.  What is native segwit-bech32?
1792  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 06:03:21 PM
I paid 4 sat/byte fee.  That was the standard which was around $0.07 or so.  I notice you could make it like 1 sat which would be like 2 cents or 2 sat which is like 3 cents but i didn't want it to take very long etc.

But you are saying its fine to make it 1 sat/byte fee nowadays?

When you ask how long did you expect transaction to take... i thought all transactions take within 10 minutes now at the most if you do standard fee?
1793  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Nano Ledger Sending BTC Fee And Time? on: September 15, 2019, 05:52:06 PM
I just sent a tiny bit of btc using my nano ledger s.  I haven't sent btc from the nano ledger s in a while.  What i notice was in the fees, it shows as standard and shows where you could make it high fee, standard or low or custom.  I just kept it at standard.  Fee was around 7 cents or so.  I sent very tiny amount of btc.

When i went to view it on the block explorer, it shows unconfirmed still.  I thought transactions are very fast now when you do standard for the fees?
1794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: September 15, 2019, 07:49:12 AM
Okay so now i have to put a new password.  Then i enter my waves phrase... correct?

I previously used the waves lite client and had a password to it.

Then when i used the waves desktop client, i was told to use a brand new password for it.  Ever since then, i only logged into waves desktop client with the new password.

So now i create another password?  So do i need to confirm the waves password for both the waves lite client and waves desktop client?

As long as i have the waves phrase, its fine right?
1795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: September 15, 2019, 07:24:16 AM
Anyone?  Why does it not show my waves address and then give me option to login with my waves password?

It shows Waves Dex on the top left... and shows in middle get started and it ask me to create a password.

Im confused why does it do this?  I previously used the old waves lite client a while back... then used the waves desktop client... but what is this?  How do i access my waves?

1799  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to find out where I sent btc from to binance if not electrum? on: September 15, 2019, 04:28:06 AM
I had around 0.10 btc deposited into my binance account over 1 year ago.  I then did a trade or two and that was it.  I did not know where the 0.10 btc came from originally exactly but it 100% came from either electrum or gambling site.  There is no other way.  But when i checked the gambling sites that i use where i deposit/withdraw btc, i could not find a transaction for that date so thats when i could not figure it out.  Then i logged into my email and looked for a btc withdraw from those betting sites and one site... showed a btc withdraw that day and that amount of dollars matched up to the 0.10 btc amount.

Trading history in binance shows the transactions i did with the btc.  Such as me buying altcoin with it.  It didn't show like where the 0.10 btc came from.  Thus if i check the btc address... it really wouldn't give me a clue since if its not electrum address, then it has to be a gambling site btc address.

Ah okay.  Are you from the US by thr way?

What about those of you who dont even cash out?  I know you have to record it as well but it does suck when you dont cash out and have to record transactions.
