Even if we look at Napoli in previous seasons it was always like that when they were always victorious at the start of the season but as time went on their conditions always got worse again and again towards the end of the season.
Their performances in past two seasons are different. In this season, they are doing better, at least after 16 matches and I believe they can complete this season better. I really don't want to see them come back like that this season, but when this keeps happening there is still some improvement for them to do and it's going to be a bit difficult if that doesn't work.
They already have more experience and they can improve a lot in this season. It is optimistic to think Napoli can win Scudetto but I believe they will end this season at a higher position than they did in the last season. The game against Sampdoria should be a turning point for them again and there is no reason not to take full points in this game as they need to restore the momentum that was slightly interrupted by Inter in the previous game.
It will be a test for Napoli and if they win it, it seems everything will be back to normal. De Jong, Pedri and Gavi allowed Xavi to breathe a sigh of relief, they were still young and able to play well under Xavi's tutelage.

I agree maybe mentality was one of the reasons why they lost this game. What we saw last season was that they couldn't keep their hopes up in the race for the championship so they were easily knocked out of competition by AC Minal and also Inter Milan. The big opportunity came back to them, but once again they had to lose a big game where they could win it would increase their confidence even more. Let's wait for their performance in a match that will make it difficult for them to face other giant clubs in Serie A.

Napoli did not win too many Scudetto and these players they have in this season don't have many experience of standing on a first position of Serie A.
