181  Other / Meta / Re: Excessively meriting a mediocre post - rules? on: April 08, 2019, 11:44:39 AM
Yeah but not 40 Merit’s. Come on!
This is why I wrote this part.
despite of the fact that sending 50 or 100 merits to one-line, joking post most likely merit abusements or at least merit inappropriate usages.
182  Other / Meta / Re: Excessively meriting a mediocre post - rules? on: April 08, 2019, 02:33:03 AM
Sometimes, people tend to merit for a joke, because it makes them feel funny, help them release stresses from trading, or something like that.
Merit abusements or un-abusements on perspectives of each person, despite of the fact that sending 50 or 100 merits to one-line, joking post most likely merit abusements or at least merit inappropriate usages.
I agree with you that theymos wrote that he don't care about that, because with airdropped merits, people can not abuse for too long, and he tend to leave it naturally happen. Of course, for some extremely abused cases like sending 90 or 100 merits to some accounts to boost it to Full Members are very bad abusements.
And, if they abuse like this, they can not go much further. They can go to Senior Members with 240 or 250 merit points abused but they won't be able to move to Hero or Legendary for sure.
There are no "real" rules for giving merit ( I see subsequently it was found to likely be his alt so that is likely abuse). I mean it is not supposed to be given out on political grounds, but of course that is observably not the case. Free choice certainly applies.

There are several instances where large amounts of merit are given out from merit sources for a low value one liner.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5123752.msg50280347#msg50280347

I have seen people just more or less ask for some merit and a merit source has just given it to them for fun.
183  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, please share the list of banned accounts for BPIP and LoyceV websites on: April 08, 2019, 02:20:17 AM
Imagine you wasting time reporting a profile for plagiarism yet it was autobanned 6 months ago... sucks, right?
Got it, Bitcoin_Arena. I known that banned accounts are not able to wear signature. In other words, after their accounts got banned, signatures they worn before will be disabled automatically. However, I agreed that this specification is only helpful for manual checks, and this can not be effectively applied for BPIP site's statistics. Finally, I understood the reasons why OP started this topic. Thanks.

Moreover, it also happens that the data about bans doesn't appear in Moderators Log, and consequently on BPIP site.
By the way, would you mind helping me with steps to download data from the Moderator Log (Mod Log) page, please.
184  Other / Meta / Re: No 2FA here still? on: April 07, 2019, 11:57:01 PM
Waiting for new forum as same as waiting for the day bitcoin will come back to the $20000 price range. I don't wait for it, instead I secured my account by signing message and staking my bitcoin via the following topic.
Stake your bitcoin address here
as others have mentioned you need to wait for the new forum
If the OP don't know how to secure account in the forum, please read these topics:
TUTORIAL: How to use Electrum (for beginners)
TUTORIAL: How to use Electrum (for advanced users)
For now, I think this security method is enough, very secured. Furthermore, should always use as strong passwords as possible for your account in the forum, and your registered email (2FA for your email should be used, too).
185  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, please share the list of banned accounts for BPIP and LoyceV websites on: April 07, 2019, 11:52:19 PM
I don't think it makes sense to get such figures, especially for permanently banned users (that I guess what you wanted). They already got permanently bans, that mean they will never (almost never) get opportunities to see their permanently bans lifted.
There are limited cases that can get unlifted permanently bans, less than total fingers in your hands.
The BPIP and LoyceV websites are often used by people when they want to know if Bitcointalk profile is banned.

If they log in to check their permanently ban situation, check to see that their bans removed or not, they will get active status.
However, I don't see any topic use active situation is parameter for analysis, so why did you ask this?

However, many banned users shown as active there.
186  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Announcing BPIP - The Bitcointalk Public Information Project! on: April 05, 2019, 06:42:56 AM
I misposted the one in my topic (wrong board), so I quoted it here for you, Vod.
Today, I saw a bug (maybe bug) in BPIP site with the case of Xal0lex (staff), who created a topic for bitcointalk souvenirs on April 1st.

theymos stated the KYC now required is April Fool there:
April fools!

2541 people submitted the KYC form, but the actual data entered into the form was never even sent to bitcointalk.org, much less collected. So if you actually entered any sensitive info there, you should feel a bit silly, but don't worry about it. (Probably some people left funny comments, but regrettably these were not collected.)

The verification flairs were random.

Thanks to Mr. Big, hilariousandco, malevolent, Halab, Mitchell, and Xal0lex for contributing ideas related to this, and to everyone else for having fun with it!

All funds (sMerits) in the topic, Souvenirs from the Bitcointalk.org were refunded days ago.
Sadly, we ran out of our stock of zero items. So everyone gets a full refund:

However, the figures of Xal0lex on BPIP site are wrong, so I guess there are maybe other users whom got wrong figures (delayed updated) on BPIP site.
The BPIP site built by Vod.
Please check it and fix such a delayed updating bug (if it is) when you have time to do it.
Thank you.

Ok, thank you so much, I left a post in that topic and locked the topic now.

189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much time you spend to read forum post ? on: April 03, 2019, 11:26:56 PM
Reading usually brings ideas for me, to solve my problems, to help others who raised questions, or to improve what I am lack of, such as knowedge, skills.
In fact, I can not write if I don't read.
In general, in my estimation, I spend around 60 to 70 percent of my time in the forum to read, and 30 to 40 percent of my time to write.
Writing consume less time because even when I start writing, I have to go backwards to see posts/ topics I read before to organize my ideas; or I have to search what I need for my writings.
190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Newbies please read Services' / Bounties' topic tittle before applying on: April 02, 2019, 07:27:09 AM
Title always don't give an appropriate result about what's going on. I had applied in bustadice campaign where title says "Full" but there was two vacancy announced by the campaign manager.
Oh my friend, it is totally depend on campaign managers, but they usually update current situation of campaigns they managed with tittle updates.
Sometimes, they forgot to do that, it's the fact because they are human.
You should get the point that, what I wanted to point out is bounty hunters should spend their little time to read OP before applying no matter how lazy you are.
If they read OP tittle, that wrote Full/ CFNP, but if they read OP carefully and have interest in that campaign, thay can move reading last pages of the campaign to see what's going on recent days or weeks.
Reading the OP's tittle is the first thing, at least, they should do, not all things they should do.
Do you get my point here?
191  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Newbies please read Services' / Bounties' topic tittle before applying on: April 02, 2019, 04:35:03 AM
It's the fact, we all known that during our time hunting for bounties.
So, let's accept it.
Firstly, when I thought for which tittle of the topic, I did not include newbies because as you pointed out, all ranks of users made such lazy applications.
After that, I thought newbies or lower rank users dominantly do it, so I decided to add newbies to the titlle.
It's hilarious to see newbies applied to join high paid campaigns, especially in bitcoin.
By writing Newbies, I implied that lower rank users. Using Newbies might better catch their attention.  Smiley
Why title have "newbies", I see many established account  applying without reading the OP.

LoyceV made a great point, but among newbies or even higher members, there are guys will read my guide, and see it helpful for them.
Maybe, I actually made un-necessary topic.  Huh
I'm not adding this. You want Newbie bounty spammers who don't read to read my topic, which tells them to read your topic, all because they don't read the topic they actually wanto to spam a bounty topic. That's a lot of reading they won't do.

It mentioned in OP's campaigns, so they should read it themselves; and I did not added  to the OP because it is not my main purpose to write the topic.
Anyway, thanks for your contructive point.
One more tip: do not enroll your alt accounts (if you have one).
192  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 10 Bitcoin Casinos on: April 02, 2019, 04:19:35 AM
I thought that to choose best bitcoin casinos, we should consider some things:
- House Edge
- Promotions
- Give away events
- Reliability on deposits, withdrawals, and payments to winners over their operational history.
- Total bet value per day recent months.

From these things, I choose:
Fortune Jack, BitVest, 777coin, BitDice, Bitsler, PrimeDice, Stake as top bitcoin casinos.
193  Other / Meta / Re: Anal-isis – KYC Process status on: April 01, 2019, 09:44:38 AM
179k cases got denied with KYCs, really? Do those denied cases come from perma banned accounts?
I saw African users dominantly did KYCs, so it might give better overview of you can sort out KYCs in continents.

Additionally, why Anal-isis ?
Is the anal-isis another joke today?
What is anal-isis? Is it the new terminology ?

Please check it.
195  Other / Beginners & Help / [Guide] Newbies please read Services' / Bounties' topic tittle before applying on: April 01, 2019, 07:49:25 AM
I admited that when I was noob, I often applied immediately when I saw bounties open up.
Before reading next lines, you should honest with you and answer the question:
"How much time do you often spend to read bounties' topic tittle?"
Read first, before applying, but in fact bounty hunters tend to applying first, before they read.

It's one of the worst thing you can do due to several reasons:
- Bounties have been filled up totally, mean that there is not open slot for new comers.
- Bounties have been paused by campaigns' owners.
- And other reasons.

In order to help noobs better understand the tittle of bounty topic, I quote the part below for you.
Please read it carefully to make sure that you understand the meanings of those acronyms.

Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns

The following abbreviations will be used for campaigns (where applicable):

Campaigns:
Active||Currently active
PNYC||Payment not yet confirmed
FLUX||Campaign in flux between closed and accepting
CFNP||Closed for new participants
Sometimes, you can see something different, like:
- Paused
- On Hold
- [FIN]: Finished

Both of two means campaign has been on the situation and period in which campaign's owners need to reconsider about the results they got from campaigns, before making next decision to keep running it or totally stop.
Using which acronym depends on each manager, but these ones are the most popular acronym to describe bounties situation.

Please spend your little time to read those ones, steps by steps:

1>  Topic tittle, that mostly disclose the current situation of bounties (mentioned above).
2>  Read the information on which ranks are available.
3> Read the information on open slots.
4> Read information on earned merits required (most of BTC paid campaigns ask some earned merits or earned merits in last 120 days to meet first requirements to apply.)
5> Trust requirements (most of campaign don't accept applicants have negative trusts.

If you find out there are chances for you from steps 1 to 3, let move to last 2 steps (4, and 5).
If you don't find out chances in steps 1 to 3, let skip steps 4, and 5, and move on to other bounties.

There is a topic, which give you active campaigns that paid in BTC, remember that the topic is only for BTC-paid campaigns.
So, you should not post anything relates to altcoins-paid campaigns in the topic.

196  Other / Meta / Re: Who are real theymos? Or did he leave the fourm years ago, just after satoshi? on: April 01, 2019, 06:49:01 AM
Let's me guess, my friend. Both of the are snitches. Smiley
As a snitch, he or she will do it tomorrow
Tomorrow, theymos will appear here with accusations from community that he run away with all users' KYC.
It might be the biggest crime of theymos in the forum more than 10 years he joined, then managed the forum so far.
Do you agree with me at the imagined story on theymos?
Something like this:
Scam accusation: "Theymos run away with KYCs"
197  Other / Meta / Who are real theymos? Or did he leave the fourm years ago, just after satoshi? on: April 01, 2019, 06:44:15 AM
I scanned and checked all verified cases in the KYC now required topic, and not found anyone who verified as real theymos.
In addition, the admin, just called him as an admin, KYC verification shows he is snitch.

The results of admin, and others so far, made me really confused.
I have some big questions:
- Who are real theymos?
- Is theymos a real admin of the forum?
- Have we recently found the fact that theymos actually left the forum years ago, just after satoshi?
- Have we recently found one of the biggest secrets of the forum?
198  Other / Meta / Re: KYC now required on: April 01, 2019, 06:40:15 AM
I scanned all the posts so far, and have not found anyone verified as theymos.
So, who are real theymos?
Where are you theymos?
199  Other / Meta / Re: KYC now required on: April 01, 2019, 06:29:07 AM
I'll make sure to complain to the board so that they change my verified tag. This is unacceptable!
They might accept your complaint and change your KYC verification tomorrow. Let's wait for next less than 24 hours, then you will get it.
In the meantime, you should try to accept it during a few hours.

Who verified LoyceV as a human? Result of KYC verification should be AI, instead.
My biggest crime: selling 0.5 BTC for 200 euro. It's not officially a crime (yet), but it should be Shocked
I agreed with you.
