181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Been holding for the last month and half and then... on: July 18, 2017, 05:36:21 PM
I'm thinking we'll have another dip before and after the Aug 1 non-event.
182  Other / Off-topic / Re: life threatening situation on: July 18, 2017, 05:33:23 PM
Ever experienced life threatening situation that changed your life ? Share your story with us.

I swam too far out from the shore of Lake Michigan once. I had no idea just how "heavy" the water is as its gets deeper. I had to have help getting back towards shore, otherwise I probably wouldn't have made it.

You probably got caught up in the current. I hear they can really pull you far from shore in practically no time at all. Lucky you got help.

I had a similar experiance when I was about 14. I was swimming in the credit river and allowed it to take me downstream riding the rapids. It wasn't that dangerous the water isn't too deep there and you can easily get to shore. When I went to stand up my foot slipped and my leg got logged between two rocks, the river's current pulled me under. I couldn't do much other than try to free my leg which i did. Pretty scary shit man. I thought I was a goner for a second or two.

Did it change my life? nope. I still do stupid shit and I'm in my late 40's now.

Okay I checked myself. My google doesn't block anything. I have pages and pages on this guy and all I did was type his name into a google search. From youtube videos on agenda 21 to his passing etc.. I get similar results with duckduckgo.com.

184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most profitable masternods for small investment on: July 17, 2017, 01:26:34 PM
Look at Espers they are adding masternodes to their chain in a few months. You can get coins relatively cheap now. Once the masternodes launch then I expect the price to go up.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nice pump today..how many more dumps before august 1st? on: July 14, 2017, 06:27:52 PM
Why do you think the dumps will stop on Aug 1st? If there is a split and bitcoin keeps going down in price then expect all of the alts to get decimated.

186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some guy made 200 million from ETH on: July 13, 2017, 01:41:11 PM
Any coin with a blockchain explorer will be easy to show your entry point. You don't even have to prove the actual transaction. Just note that wallet address(es) as yours and you're good.

In my country the tax agency uses January 1st as the price date. If I hold 20 bitcoin then I only have to say I own $998 x 20 =$19.960 worth of Bitcoin for 2017.

If Bitcoin suddenly becomes worth ten times as much on January 1st of 2018 then you note you still own those 20 bitcoins, now worth $9.980 =$190.960 and you pay the tax on it. My country's capital gains tax is absurdly low so I pay 1.3% ($248), but even if it were 15% or 20% I'd swallow and pay it, it means all the rest is gravy to do whatever you want with it.

1.3% capital gains tax!! What! I pay 40% FFS! I'm moving to your country to cash out. Where do you live?
187  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The UN voted 122-1 to ban nuclear weapons under international law on: July 12, 2017, 08:17:53 PM
Guess which country voted against banning nuclear weapons...

Take a guess... I bet you'll never guess which country wants to nuke the planet

It was the Netherlands. I would have never guessed in a million years.

Also this.

"The participants did not include any of the world’s nine nuclear-armed countries, which conspicuously boycotted the negotiations."

So this treaty has no teeth since the countries with nukes will just say make us.

188  Other / Off-topic / Re: Investing in Lego on: July 11, 2017, 04:07:46 PM
How is lego an investment when the lego company can at any time roll out a whole lotta cheap saturn V rocket models..

Bitcoin is the only investment you want. After all that's why your here right?
189  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scariest World Problem on: July 11, 2017, 04:05:03 PM
Nibiru haha yeah that one ranks right up there with Kim and Terrorists.  Roll Eyes You can't be serious about that one.

The greatest threat, which is also just cycles that the planet has been through already is climate change.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sadist Responsible for the Crash.. on: July 11, 2017, 01:01:13 PM
What do you mean except Ethereum? That coin was pumped the most so it will fall the most.. over time. At the beginning of the year Eth was trading at 12.00 then 4 months later its 390.00. Do you really think that a pump like that is sustainable? No.. back to the norm. It will likely settle below 100.00
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solving the ICO Dump Crisis on: July 06, 2017, 01:59:41 PM
But the 100ETH cap is per wallet address, individuals/whales can just use multiple addresses, right?

Hi Tommy,

This is incorrect, there will be KYC implemented in order to prevent Sybil attacks. Good question!

So you expect us to give you our personal information? This is crypto where people like their anonimity. I don't think this is going to work out too well.

192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ESP] Esper Speculation on: July 06, 2017, 03:06:11 AM
I have bought  1 mil ESP for 18 satoshi and want to forget about this investment. I will remember once it's price will grow like siacoin. I have sold a lot of siacoin one year ago for few $.

Sell 50% at 21.
It's a +16% gain. Serious.

Why settle for small gains like that when this can go 100-200 sat. Wait for the masternode tech to come out and sell then when everyone is buying coins to run masternodes. Being patient pays off and proof is in this last springs altcoin bull run. I'm personally holding for 1K sat +. I have high hopes for this one.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: On"China Becomes First Country in the World to Test a National Cryptocurrency“ on: July 04, 2017, 04:02:32 PM
Canada was the first to test a digital currency. It happened in 2015 it was called mintbit. They are not ready to adopt any form of digital currencies yet but the future comes fast with crypto. Good on China to take the initiative.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eostupid people on: June 30, 2017, 04:19:37 PM
Eos is currently selling at .4521 USD http://eosscan.io/

452 Million market cap as of 11pm 29th. The crowdsale is over on midnight 31st. I think we will see this coin enter the coin market cap at #9 1 billion USD. From there it will rise to 2nd maybe even surpass BTC in marketcap if people start using it over ethereum. Its gonna be a ride wherever it goes.

So, you assume it will make 50% return by tomorrow?
Beacuse it will be tradable immediately tomorrow, or 1 july.

I dobt think so. Given amount of money in it, i think most people will dump it for qiick returns.

My theory is that eos purchasing will be much easier / cheaper next 200 days.

Especially after eth gets decimated in price when bitcoin forks.

I made a mistake there thinkin there was 2 more days left when in fact only 21 hours left. We are currently at 333K ethers your right its not going anywhere near 1 billion market cap. I was counting on the stupidity of ICO investors to bring this one up well beyond "over sold" which it already is..

I'm also betting on getting cheaper tokens in the next 360 days. I can see this one dropping down to 10c or less. Maybe even less if like you said eth gets decimated. So after this BTC fork do you think we will see a huge bull run on BTC?

196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS ICO valuation 243.000.000 on: June 27, 2017, 03:57:38 PM
This is only day 2 for the 200 million EOS. I wonder how much more it could go up. My guess is they will raise 200 million USD in this first batch. Making this a 1 billion dollar blockchain right out the door.

197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ••• Anryze: Distributed Speech Recognition Platform ••• on: June 23, 2017, 02:28:14 PM
To be very honest!!!
i was working on and developed way too much speech related software, probably way before most of you even owned a computer!
but i fail to understand how this could be useful combining with a crypto? FUTILE

I know right, I've seen so many ICOs just taking every day functional systems and adding a blockchain then asking for millions to develop it. Like that invoicing system. Now this and a few others. They are just cash grabs for the devs. Lots of lessons will be learned here.

How do y'all know how high the price is going to go?

They don't they are just guessing based on what other similar projects have accomplished this year. I can see this going to 50 sats maybe. 100 is a far cry but who the hell would have thought that NEM could reach 1.6 billion in market cap. 1000 is possible in this crypto bubble but development will have to be quick to get masternodes and moreso the website on the blockchain. No other coin has that technology that I'm aware of.

Price just tanked hard on Bittrex.  Cry

Fix the bloody blockchain problem.
200  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: June 16, 2017, 04:30:35 PM
a priori proofs that the Earth is a globe?

If the Earth was flat, we'd be able to see the Sun at all times.

If the Earth was flat we would be able to see the entire earth from an airplane..

Also, there would be no horizon.

Flat Earthers just ignore these facts and say stupid shit like light refraction and fog..
