1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Last new Scrypt miners! Will kill LTC/POWs? Titan 2nd Batch 400mh 2.5k of units on: March 12, 2015, 01:08:03 PM
Anyone know what happened to the KNC forums? I want to download the 2.0 firmware for the Titan but can't anymore.
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: March 10, 2015, 08:27:28 PM
Has anybody here (or at all?) used ZiftrCoins to transact real-world business? i.e. buy something using their browser add-on or whatever? Aside from mining to hoard, speculate or sell immediately on Cryptsy, has anybody bought anything with this PoS?

Nah, nobody does that with alts. We just mine and trade them. Thats what fiat is for. Accepted everywhere...

Oh boy, I think I'm going to get hammered for that one..
1103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitShares coinmarketcap volume is artificial on: March 10, 2015, 01:31:28 PM
BitShares volume is being calculated by adding all the Bitshares assets trading volume, like bitUSD, bitGold, bit silver, bitBTC and bitCNY. Just an observation. So today the BTC and fiat volume was $40K less than what coinmarketcap is broadcasting.

Why spread lies about coins? Do you actually think it increases value in the coin you hold?

1104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are no anonymous altcoins being widely utilized? on: March 06, 2015, 08:12:27 PM
Bitshares is anonymous, and is ranked no. 4 on coinmarketcap.

This !

Yes, if someone is interested in premined coins

Bitshares is not premined. It was mined as protoshares and then the wealth was transfered to bitshares along with their crowdfunded angelshares.

1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DNA] DNACoin - CryptoNight, PoW/PoJ/PoEA/PoG. | No IPO | ASIC RESIST++ on: March 06, 2015, 04:35:57 PM
Do you have exchanges and pools planned for release? It would get much more attention if you did that.

1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Inventory Management on: March 06, 2015, 03:41:05 PM
Would have to have an advantage over a traditional database.

The advantages I see are:

1) Decreased server load on company-owned equipment. By having everyone who own this "coin" verify and manage the inventory database

2) Decreased need for database backups and redundant servers. The blockchain would be loaded on any computer running the wallet client

3) Alternative revenue to the company by selling the coins. Proof-of-stake incentivizes others to run the client and maintain our inventory database. The coins would be sold by the company as a stock alternative

As far as keeping better inventory, this wouldn't change. However, ideally a RFID/NFC tagging system would be integrated with this system. Leaving less room for human error.

How good is the blockchain at handling multiple items? I know it can keep track of one item (bitcoin), but is it capable of handling 150 different assets?

So you want to replace an SAP system that controls an entire company with a blockchain? Never going to happen. No company will want their data "out there" and the speed of an  Oracle database vs a peer to peer network is night and day. It can't work.

1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PRE-ANN-- Coming Soon PAYNET [PYNT] A coin For the System on: March 05, 2015, 10:55:41 PM
Your ANN is nice and short and to the point. You even left out the fancy ass graphics. Thank you. I like the idea and I like the premine idea alot.

Just a couple of things:

Consider giving the premine to an escrow agent for more credibility.

Let hashing power decide coin distribution. Don't limit number of coins to wallets, some people can spin up 200 cpus. But do certainly include scrypt, sha256, a GPU and a CPU algo for distro.

Argument-
Cryptocurrency puts the power of money creation in the hands of the people. Lets offer something back to the existing power structure.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PAYNET- A transparent vehicle for instant transfers of funds. It will operate with REGISTERED ACCOUNTS (like name address social etc.)
there will be no max supply but block rewards will be chosen and adjusted as situations arise.this will be voted on by all users with a 1 man 1 vote rule. the power will lie with a board of top 10 wallets this board will serve 2 functions 1) determine what the people need to vote for. 2 handle merchant/consumer disputes, creating buyer protection for the user. the board will operate as an incorporated entity, with all network fees going to the board (explained later)
_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________

DISTRO- the distro will happen primarily through a central pool.  all users will split block reward equally. mine with asics or cpu u get the same.
a portiion of network fees go to the strengthening of this network to ensure it is very hard for another pool to find a block (HANGMANS DILEMA)
_______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________

PREMINE - A huge un-godly premine will be offered as a bribe to citigroup thereby giving them controlling interest in the board... Why citigroup ? cause they just might take it.

boom there u go

more to come

it works  Smiley thanks  Wink
I added additional nodes which are provided above and wallet is like running not just synciyng . Great helping community together we will make it successful.

I also couldn't get a new wallet to sync. Even with the nodes provided above.

I have a pinkcoin wallet staking and took the peers from it. Added to a new install and it started to sync almost instantly.

Try these:

1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No response after Questions on: March 01, 2015, 03:53:18 PM
Why not just use escrow with conditional terms? If there is a back door detected or skimming code then they don't get paid until its removed and you have a working and fair faucet/dice/poker whatever site.

Thanks for the updates.

This coin really has true utility and service in the "right now" of this marketspace and could be huge as the market develops.

There are so many developmental avenues that can be incubated within this business model.

I have been watching on the altcoin sidelines for over 9 months now without buying one Satoshi of any coin till MTR.

---Stay the Course
---Get good People
---Pattern after Google's mission statement - "Don't be evil."
---Quality creativity and opportunity will follow.

Mtrcoin will have a sizable impact on the crypto market by enabling noobs to trade with a clue. I understand how overwhelming and difficult this scene is to someone without trading experience, early losses are almost a guarantee.

Noobs?! lol, I've been here over a year and still need help with trading.
1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way of initial coin distribution on: February 27, 2015, 01:46:43 PM
Step 1:

Code:
Launch a proof of stake altcoin. For example bitcoindark clone or something
Step 2:

Code:
People mine that altcoin until the proof of work period is ended
Step 3:

Code:
People send their coins to a burn address

Step 4:

Code:
You send the new 100% pos coin to the addresses they send to the burn address with proportional to their coins.
For example i send 18324 coins to the burn address using my address i get sent back same amount i burned to the same address on the new chain

Step 5:

Code:
People import their addresses to the new chains wallet and rescan
Step 6:

Code:
You have achieved your goal

Source: This is how the Stakecoin distribution was and i got my coins and was worked good i am like it because it was like magic and stuff.

This approach works better if the coin being mined is multi-algo. 4 Algos would make it very fair, scrypt, sha256, x11(or a different GPU algo), and a CPU algo that no one has a GPU miner for.

PoW period should not end as a snapshot can be taken at any point and the new coin allocated based on those numbers. The coins don't need to be burned either.
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitshares oligarchy rearing it's head on: February 27, 2015, 01:30:51 PM
Who did they give 30 million to for doing nothing? What was their reasoning? Can you provide links please.

They dropped 30 million of the 500 million expanded cap to Adam of FollowMyVote. As part of the merger Bitshares bought the VOTE DAC out which was allocating a major percentage of its own shares to VOTES devs and founder(Adam). bytemaster convinced some of the koolaid drinkers that Adam's DAC was going to kill bitshares because Adam set aside that enormous allocation of VOTE shares to pay devs, mainly bytemaster. bytemaster under the guise of trying to satisfy AGS donors who donated after the Bitshares Exchange donor period ended said he had to D something for them and would thus walk away from the flagship DAC to go get paid by VOTE. This caused him to come up with the great scheme of merging the DACs and paying Adam that huge sum of BTS. It has now come to light that VOTE had no killer app that could "change everything" as bytemaster claimed in his sales pitch pre merger.

I'll get you links after work.

Thanks.
1114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Alt Coin launch guidelines on: February 26, 2015, 06:23:00 PM
Hello,

I am planning on releasing a new alt coin soon and was wondering if there are any guidelines on doing that process the right way. I know this is a Bitcoin board and I don't want to break any rules regarding new alt coin announcements.

Any insight is greatly appreciated. This is a great board and I don't want to do something that creates a FUD storm... hehe...

Thanks!

Let us know a few days ahead of time so we can all be ready. Altcoincalendar.info is a good place.

If you take a premine, you had better have a good reason. Explain what you plan to use it for. This includes ICO funds.

Have working wallets before launch. Password protected zips or make sure you put the binaries on a site that can handle the traffic.

Hardcode the seed nodes and don't advertise them here. Alternatively, post them at launch.

Coin needs a purpose and should have some innovation. Otherwise it will get little attention.

Yeah Shadow, your nuts, F5 all day long ?! I wish I had the spare time you have. I also get notification but don't check my email too often.

I don't work coz of my health (I don't like to public this, coz people have to know I'm ok and typical human than thinks I'm whining about this) and every day at home...
I have hobbies, but still nothing to do than sit with my PC.
Not all day long but time to time while doing some different things in photoshop or watching movie on 2nd monitor, etc...

I'm not so crazy.  Smiley Just don't have a big choice...

I'm sorry to hear that. Health is everything. I know the medical establishment doesn't have all the answers. Some people I know have turned to holistic meds and even cannabis oil for their heath issues. It seems to work wonders for them while the pharmaceuticals just make them sick. Just a thought, if you haven't looked into it yet you may want to...

1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pre-Launch][ICO] The 420 Alliance Joint Force on: February 25, 2015, 09:09:13 PM
Its a good idea, however. At this point in time, with the crypto community coming off a year of IPO scams. I doubt you'll get 42 BTC let alone 420.

I think you'll have to fund the store yourselves and then start the crypto coin after you have an established business. Even then it will be hard.

As for funds, banks will steer clear. Your only option may be a browndirtwarrior guerrilla grow and use that money to fund your store. Then launch the crypto.

good luck either way.
1118  Other / Meta / Re: Receive new topics via email on: February 25, 2015, 08:58:38 PM
Hm... didn't know that. But anyway F5 is better.  Cool

You are REALLY F5ing the hell out of the board ?

I thought you are in the threads so fast also because you get email notifs ..

lol..

you're crazy ;-)

Yeah Shadow, your nuts, F5 all day long ?! I wish I had the spare time you have. I also get notification but don't check my email too often.

Its nice to see justice being handed down the these fucking scammers that have been plaguing our forum. They couldn't have picked a better candidate for the first crypto fraudster to prosecute. After seeing that Ryan guy's skype chat I really hated him. I don't remember what it was about or who he was talking to. I just remember him smoking a cigar and saying "at the end of the day" alot. What an arrogant prick was my initial impression. Sure glad he's going to be sucking dick and taking it in the ass for the next few years.
