america is just crazy about nipples... violence is ok but if someone sees a nipple.. oh noes!

well in my town (germany) there is a lake... and there are often people bathing naked... there is no sign... its not official... they are just doing it... and guess what: NO ONE CARES! grannys, childs and families are just walking by peacefully.

lol@america

That is very nice. Germany is a perfect country to live in. There is no place in the world like Europe. The best countries are there, rich history, monuments, and no stupid laws that will lock you up for the rest of your life.

BULLSHIT! say one thing about the holocaust and you're in jail, simply for stating whats on your mind.

Hello all,

I am a freshman to this forum & new to this kind of cryptocurrency.

Is it possible to mine with an old Intel Celeron laptop or will I just be wasting my time ?

If you do mine with your laptop make sure the cooling is good. Those things tend to overheat easily. Vacuum out the dust!

The premine is too high, there are other scrypt coins that are much better to mine. You'll not get my hashes.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone been following the Niro thread? Thoughts? Should I pick some up? on: February 23, 2016, 07:54:54 PM
Noob here,
I got my very first bitcoin late last year as a present. Never really used bitcoin before I did what anyone my age would do. I went straight to the dice games baby. haha. I cashed out almost 2btc and took that to the bitcoin slot machines. I got really really lucky. I didn't know how to bet and I ended up betting .5 btc on my very first spin. I got a bonus on the machine and won like 13 btcs. I cashed out with a total of 15 bitcoins. I noticed that the casino took other type of coins so I did a little research and discovered altcoins. I made a few altcoin trades and now I  almost have 20btc.

Long story short I'm looking for a solid coin, where I can put my bitcoin in it, let it sit for 4-5 years and be a very happy man. Now I know no one can see the future but I came across the nexus niro thread earlier today (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=657601.0) I would like to hear from people who are not part of the niro community what their thoughts are. Do you think this is a safe coin? I notice they are very cheap and I can really become a whale with them. but this coin almost sounds to good to be true....what are your thoughts?  Huh Huh Huh

Stay in Bitcoin. Unless you're a gambling man then its LTC.

As for shitcoins with low volume, in 4-5 years they will not exist and new shitcoins will have taken their place.

Ummm.. why are you guys mining this? Just to get some blocks or for fun? It has been insta-mined 7K blocks. AND the difficulty adjustment algo will leave this coin stuck on high diff. That's dead in my book.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW Home X11 Dash Miner for Sale DualMiner DM384M Legit or Not? on: February 23, 2016, 04:36:53 PM
I don't know if this is possible, but since x11 is just a combination of different hashing algos. I would like to see an x11 ASIC that can hash the individual algos or combinations of them. It would allow for more flexibility mining alts that use one or more of the 11 algos.

Also the price is too high and the unit is too slow.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IPO] Goldentax on: February 22, 2016, 04:19:31 PM
Goldentax

Website coming soon

What is Goldentax?

Goldentax is a new concept decentralized trading platform.

Goldentax will allow users to trade equity and assets in an decentralized environment. This means that there is no single governing body or bank that controls the market.

As Goldenax is based on Blockchain Technology, every trade, transaction and market movement is stored in the publicly viewable ledger.

Goldentax will also have integrated assets, diversification groups and prediction markets which allows you to buy and sell shares in high risk or low risk options.

How It Works

Goldentax works very similar to Bitcoin or any other PoW (Proof of Work) crypto-currency. Securing or keeping the network stable is done by solving math problems with your computer, also known as "Mining".

Because of the way Goldenax works, It will have its own monetary token, Gtax. Which will be available on most crypto-currency exchanges to trade for other currencies.

Mining in crypto-currency is generally thought of as something that is specialized and only large scale operators with high end graphics cards or ASIC Devices (application-specific integrated circuit) can participate in. We have changed that, Goldentax (Gtax) will be using a bespoke CPU only algorithm and be secured against the use of other application-specific devices. This allows every user to secure the network just by using the client.

As a reward for "Mining" there is a 256 Goldentax reward for every "block" or math problem that is solved by your client. This Gtax can be traded for available equity or shares in the marketplace or be traded on crypto-currency exchanges for currencies such as Bitcoin.

Crowdsale
6.000.000 Gtax for sale
0.01 BTC 1000 Gtax

Send bitcoin to 14x1Rd177vEacmDnsxMgZyW9Nmk8UfttvQ

Send a PM with the amount of coins and BTC Block explorer link, you get a number for the website

Roadmap
22 Feb 2016 - Start Crowdsale (IPO)
15 March 2016 - Website and twitter
16 March 2016 - Testing netwerk
20 March 2016 - IPO end
22 March 2016 - Launch

That's a very aggressive timeline for creating a decentralized exchange. How many developers do you have?

694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ħ [HODL] Interest on all Balances, no Staking, 4000%+ for Early Hodlers on: February 19, 2016, 07:12:21 PM
Was wondering that what's the difference between the interest paid on the current balance, compared to HOdling it for an X amount of time.

Ok, I should probably start writing an FAQ. I'll start here.

FAQ 1: How in heck do I calculate what interest I'm going to get?

1. The Standard Interest Rate
Interest is paid on regular balances (outputs), on every block, for a period of up to 30 days (561x30 blocks). The rate is  0.0000002384185791015625% (1/2^22). It's compounded every block, so the rate is approximated 5% APR. However, remember there is a maximum of 30 days, so to get that APR, you'd need to log in each month and shuffle the HODL to a new address.

2. Term Deposit Bonus
So if you lock an amount of HODL as a term deposit, you get a bonus on the interest. The longer the deposit, the bigger bonus. The bonus is just a multiplier of the interest, so if you locked up 100 HODL for 1 year, you'd expect a return of 5 HODL. The term deposit bonus for 1 year is about 100% - so at the end of the term you'd have 110 HODL (Capital 100 + Interest 5 + Term Deposit Bonus 5). See the chart for the multipliers, or use this formula - =(1-((409530-X)/409530)^7)*100  (X is the number of blocks to lock for, min 2 days, max 1 year)

3. Bonus Interest Rates
So here's where it gets interesting and also a little complicated. To encourage early adoption, astronomical rates of interest are paid in the early months. The max rate is 0.0000152587890625 (1/2^16). Compounded, the rate is 2274%. It's reduced every block by a multiplier - calculated like this =(409530-X/409530)^4 (X is the block where the amount is locked). See the previous chart.
So to calculate your full bonus return . . . it's
Principal + ((Standard Interest + (Bonus Interest * Bonus Multiplier))*Term Deposit Multiplier)

n.b. When a Term Deposit matures, it stops earning interest - you need to move it to start earning interest again.
n.b. Bonus rates are paid on regular balances too
n.b. The bonus rate is locked at the time of the transaction, the rate you can achieve reduces over time due to the multiplier, but once you're earning that bonus rate, it doesn't reduce.

We badly don't need an exchange at this early moment....

So then how is this open to those who want to invest in Hodl without mining and those who cannot possibly mine?

This is true, if we want more people in on this then we need an exchange and we need to stop hodling everything we mine. HOdl should be a good price this early on so sell half and Hodl the other half. Time to start building the community.
696  Other / Off-topic / Re: Funny men's topic #016 on: February 18, 2016, 06:53:34 PM
This one is better..  I think Eddie Murphy stand up is the first time I heard this one.

One day there was a bear and a rabbit taking a shit in the forest.
The bear turns to the rabbit and says, "Do you have a problem with shit sticking to your fur?"
The rabbit replies, "No.."
So the bear picks up the rabbit and wipes his ass with him.

Its the could seeding program. So what, you either get a white sun along with a 5000% increase in asthma cases or you get flooded coastal cities, civil unrest, war, death, famine, etc.. they have no choice but to do this. Go to work and pay your taxes. We choose to live the way we do now we pay the consequences.

Life sure would be interesting again. If technology just stopped working then we would be killing each other over food. Then shortly afterward... killing each other for food.
