Zhao said in QQ earlier he didn't receive details about AM franchising.
And everyone in China can buy BE200 at low price  Grin

Yeah, there were at least 60 PH/s that need to be cleared from stock  Cheesy
But do you have any idea about how low that price actually is?
182  Economy / Securities / Re: How can this friend successfully ipo? on: July 22, 2014, 02:32:15 PM
Some people will point out the obvious flaws in this plan, but I'm sure some geniuses out there will give your friend money, they always do.

People seem to have become a tad more reasonable when it comes to spend their money on crazy IPOs. But in this case, how big is that cluster that he can mine altoins worth 1-3 BTC per day? Also: Yeah, he is effectively stealing from the university and thus from the tax payers or tuition fees...
183  Economy / Securities / Re: [Cryptostocks] COINFARM on: July 22, 2014, 02:28:31 PM
Coinfarm summary to date.

Lost over 50% of it's value from IPO.  Dividend's have been incoming pretty much every day.  Dividends currently slowly decreasing at this point.

I believe it will go up? what is the best project buying shares in right now?

Stock price of mining companies going up? Well I haven't seen that in a very long time never.
184  Economy / Securities / Re: ROCKMINER - miners using GEN3 ASICMINER chips on: July 22, 2014, 02:27:34 PM
So, how many devices has ROCKMINER shipped over the last couple of months. Any official numbers? Any guesses or estimates from you guys and gals around here?

Looks to be losing more money than it's making over the past days
its annoying to watch lol especially the fact the no one even puts an ask in front of it and it just pops up over and over again

Sometimes I've got the feeling that bots on Havelock basically developed their own little economy. Some bot puts up a bid, then the others go above it, and so on and so on... It's like a microcosm of economics. Weird economics.
186  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 22, 2014, 02:25:06 PM
How about we ask FC how many PH he sold in the last 2 months for a better answer?

Well maybe because... umm... he doesn't freaking answer us anymore?  Grin
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin in pure gold on: July 22, 2014, 02:23:34 PM

Chinese are known to be gold bugs. Since bitcoin incorporates some of the very core fundamentals of Gold) scarcity, rather predictable supply, etc. it's logical to assume there'd be many people who would want to buy themselves some shiny coins. Think Casascius.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First airline to accept Bitcoin for payment - AirBaltic on: July 22, 2014, 02:21:48 PM
Good news anyway.

Which is something rather rare when it comes to new people proclaim as 'good news' Cheesy
Bitcoin news are like the professor from Futurama. Even bad news are being re-casted as "This is actually good news" Cheesy
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone that stole BTC have been caught, ever? on: July 22, 2014, 02:20:46 PM
At least Karpeles didn't kill anyone! Oh wait, didn't some CEO kill herself because her BTC were on Mt. Gox? I wonder how many lives have been ruined by the downfall of Karpeles. Do we have any numbers?

Stealing $500 million is worse than killing someone. Because for $100,000 you can save a child's life in the developing world, by sponsoring their medical expenses. So a robbery of $500 million is equivalent to killing 5,000 people.

In many places around the world you can live on less than $10,000 a year, so stealing $500,000,000 is like killing 50,000 people!

I know the son of a billionaire, I should tell him that his dad is killing 100,000 people he isn't busy giving all of his money away, afterall, it's like theft from the world isn't it?

Satoshi is letting tens of thousands die whilst leaving their Bitcoin sit around doing nothing, that money can save people right now!

In fact I am responsible for some deaths of my own, not giving it to those who are dying of starvation.

Don't steal from the world, if your money can be used to save a life do it!

Bryant, time to give and stop accumulating Bitcoins!

You can't effectively say that keeping money from the general public is killing people. If that money was in circulation, the whole supply of money itself would be worth less. Rich people keeping a large stash of money so to say keep inflation down.
Is that a crazy idea? I'm no economics expert!
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is my saviour! on: July 22, 2014, 02:19:04 PM
Don't put all eggs in one basket.

yeah, that a very important thing to remember..

But wait..all those doge, lite, next, peer, are those polytheistic gods?

IMLAO

Take a look a the altcoins forums! There are literally hundreds of new coins every month. The first few pages all have new replies within the last couple of hours. It is madness! I wouldn't even know which coin to follow. But I guess they're more or less scam coins anyways...  Embarrassed
But it would make quite an interesting war of religions coins.

It was a Dank and horny night; the porn fell in torrents - except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a maniac guy of LSD which limped down the streets (for it is in an elementary school that our penny-farthings lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the brightness.
192  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which of these 2 laptops would you pick ? on: July 22, 2014, 02:16:01 PM
Personally, I would always stick with apple. If your a microsoft person, it takes awhile to get a hang of it but in the end, it is much smoother.
+1

I'll stick with Apple too. Bought a Macbook recently and never regret it.

Yes. I'm stuck on an old Windows 7 machine right now. The system itself is not that bad, but it's soo slow... I miss my MacBook.
193  Other / Off-topic / Re: What System You Use on: July 22, 2014, 02:15:01 PM

Is it really faster than Windows 7? But it can't be as good as switching from Vista to Windows 7, which was like a large bottle of cool water after a long journey through a hot desert!

Yes, it really is.  Most people won't notice it but it is slightly faster.  Plus it added a lot of cool features (not anything performance wise, just some neat stuff)  Overall Windows 8 is a great addition to 7.  XP -> vista was broke....It is not the same as what is going on now.  Vista was supposed to be what 7 was.  8 Will be good for quite some time now.

When you're talking about Windows 8, are you talking about Windows 8 per se, or also include Windows 8.1? I've kind of stopped following the whole thing, but I hear that Windows 8.1 is the Windows 7 to Vista  Grin
194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin's dominance really about to be challenged? on: July 22, 2014, 02:11:15 PM
But it may ultimately fail, as well. We saw promising performance with Litecoin. RIP, little silver brother of BTC...
Quoting you.  Let's revisit this little comment in 12 months, and compare where Litecoin is compared to NXT, mmmkay?   Cheesy

Ha, yeah let's do that Cheesy
I wouldn't want to bet anything on that and it's my pure gut feeling. But that'll be fun! Smiley
195  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you see the next bubble peaking? on: July 22, 2014, 02:09:57 PM
I am guessing it may peak at 800 for the short term as far as cost of production is concerned.

Price level above this point will invite more miners which really do not bring in more supply but redistribute the hash distribution.

Nah, you're not around long enough. If we reach the 800s, we've definitely entered a rock-solid Bull market. We'll see a month-long rise to the low 1000s and then enter the bubble. That's the plan.
196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 22, 2014, 02:08:39 PM
If you know anyone who can do without some non-zero amount of cash today, with the expectation of a 50% gain by 8 Feb, you should inform them, or you are no friend.

Ha, I understand what you're saying, but these things are mere conjectures. They're no facts, yet. Bitcoin remains a high-risk investment vehicle. We don't even know if the Winklevosses will be successful. A failure of their enterprise may push BTC back quite a bit because institutional money will get cautious.
I'd really like to know some educates guesses on when COIN really launches!
197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 'to hit $2000' by end of the year | ThecTelegraph | #bitcoinprice on: July 22, 2014, 02:05:44 PM
rally's that go over ATH when breached seem to be really go on to a new ATH by some margin

Anything from $1,900 up to $5,000 is realistic since Bitcoin is booming in so many places.

Yeah, if there's a bubble this year we will most likely see $2000 at some point. We may be below that threshold by the actual end of the year, but we will have crossed it by then at least once.
198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin's dominance really about to be challenged? on: July 22, 2014, 02:04:31 PM
challenged by a scam coin

It's no scam-coin. I think it's the best shot at a true proof-of-stake mechanism, and not just a blatant rip-off of the bare bones of bitcoin with an adjusted mining algorithm, another retargeting algorithm and a funny name. But it may ultimately fail, as well. We saw promising performance with Litecoin. RIP, little silver brother of BTC...
199  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where are the SELLERS??!? on: July 22, 2014, 02:02:06 PM
I'd say the sellers are keeping the price capped here quite nicely....

Yeah, but it's only the people who have to liquidate regularly. Like miners, businesses, etc.! Bears can't seem to be doing anything to bring the price down at the moment.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you see the next bubble peaking? on: July 22, 2014, 02:00:48 PM
I need to bookmark this thread! Ha, that'll be fun. I think we're still spot on with the bubble. People seem to know that, the bears aren't very successful anymore in pushing the price down. It seems, we can't go below 615. We're still on the right track at the right time!
