Let me break it down for you:

Omaha posted that gif in response to Shadow's mobile application blockchain sync time. The mobile applications in their current form are full nodes so they have to download the entire blockchain which takes hours because the project is more than a few months old. Shadow is the only PoS-based coin that has an Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) system (ShadowLite) in place as outlined in Section 8 of Satoshi's Whitepaper: https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf. The mobile applications haven't been updated yet to reflect the addition of ShadowLite (SPV) or the new HTML interface. When using the SPV system it reduces the blockchain sync from hours to a few moments. This is an upcoming update that is concrete not vapor promises.

Your coin would have this functionality if you had our dev team working on this coin, but you don't. Maybe Hondo can search and replace ShadowLite when we get around to open sourcing it. So at least you have that to look forward to (Shadows innovations). Thing is you can chill out in this channel or any other shitcoin thread on bitctalk and hype up your "innovations" that are coming soon(tm) but at the end of the day Shadow is the only coin in the PoS scheme that is innovating. When looking at a coin investment look at Proof of Development, not Smoke and Mirrors.

StealthText is touted as "World's first SMS tx" Lulz. The thing is CloakPal (www.cloakpal.com) was running anonymous SMS texts sending back in June so StealthText is definitely not the world's first.. Nothing new here.. other than you had someone review it and give it a bit of artificial hype. CloakPal was also developed by a supporting dev, not the core team. Here you have done the same thing and built a platform around it? PRO.

As a potential investor when I look at Stealthcoin I see:

StealthText = CloakPal
StealthSend = ShadowSend
StealthMarket = Open Bazaar
Tor = Standard on all bitcoin forks. RZR made this a default with their code.

Outside of what I've just laid out above; there hasn't been anything innovative developed here other than a logo and misleading marketing graphics.

If you'd like to use ShadowLite (SPV):

1 - Close Shadow client

2 - Create a .conf file (shadowcoin.conf)
Add:

• thinmode=1
• thinstake=1
• thinfullindex=1

3 - Save to your Shadow directory

4 - Reopen the Shadow client

Your wallet will now use ShadowLite to sync to the network. If you've ever used Multibit (Bitcoin) before its a similar experience.

Note: This function isn't available on mobile yet, but will be in the next update to the mobile clients.

Ah I'm not freaking out, apologies if you interpreted by response that way. Yeah, it's better to wait for the updated mobile versions, they'll be much more touch friendly and have ShadowLite so the sync will only take a few moments.

Two trolls and very bad ones at that. You are arguing that the blockchain takes long to download and that this issue is isolated to Shadow. Lulz. It's called the Blockchain maybe you should do some research on it. The project is more than a few months old and you're downloading the entire blockchain to your mobile device. Did you want an abracadabra download?

If so, you should wait for the updated mobile applications that have ShadowLite integrated. Shadow is the the ONLY PoS-based coin with a Simplified Payment Verification system. The is no other PoS-based coin that syncs faster than Shadow when using ShadowLite. It shows a serious lack of intelligence on your part to complain about a blockchain download. Perhaps you should troll the other PoS coins and ask them why they don't have a SPV system in place.

Well our main goal is adoption and the privacy vertical is wide open right now. We're leading the pack in terms of technology and innovation so realistically the sky is the limit.

Are any of the other messaging systems open source? Shadow's lead developer (Rynomstr) pioneered cryptocurrency layered encrypted messaging on a bounty basis during his work at CINNI. ShadowChat is an advanced version of his original work there. It would be interesting to see how many of the coins in this poll are actually using his code.

One thing to think about here is adoption. Modern communication applications like Skype, WhatsApp etc have a user friendly interfaces. Do you really see someone shifting from WhatsApp to a standard Satoshi client? I haven't seen one interface here (besides Shadow) that can compete with the big players in the communications vertical. Shadow is also the only client here that is HTML5.

Another thing to note is Shadow has mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms. The new UI update for Shadow mobile is around the corner. If you're going to compete in the communications vertical you need to have a presence on all development platforms not just Desktop. Lastly, Shadow is also the only coin here with a Simplified Payment Verification (SPV) system (ShadowLite). Even if there were competition on the mobile front the blockchain sync would take forever compared to ShadowLite.

Competition is good for consumers, but let's be real here you can't compare anything here with Shadow. xD
