181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: February 13, 2017, 12:07:18 PM
All I have to say is HOLY SHIT that spread coin preview wallet sync's extremely fast.  I had a full working wallet in under 7 minutes!  WTG @georgem!

Looks neat, thanks, Win 10 I believe?

Hey, to be honest, it's not a fully working wallet yet, but we are getting there and I like your enthusiasm.  Cheesy

Did you connect it with an external or local node?

Correct Windows 10 Pro - 64bit.

Actually all I did was open the wallet and click on "sync all nodes".  I didn't put any parameters in.  I just used whatever was built into the existing conf file.  Clearly, the other block chains didn't sync but my main concern was SPR.  Awesome looking product!  Ty

Works for me with 2 cards its the - d 0,1,2,3 for use more cards

Ok cool - is there a windows binary for minerd?
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: January 31, 2017, 12:32:48 PM
Hello folks - I am new to Boolberry and have gotten pretty far in the past few days.  I am using mbkuperman/boolberry-opencl/boolberry-opencl-0.3.0.41b-windows-x64.zip.

I set up the batch file parameters as such:

boolbd --start-mining=1GRH8NPawnfh6xLwptNumsJxZyZwSXJARUJrVgerfppjfkkrR9mexZ7h49YX5m5WutYL7gkokS2btUvUrgqDTwyoUsZzshy --mining-threads=2
pause

I set up miner_conf.json as such:

{
  "current_extra_message_index": 0,
  "donation_decision": false,
  "donation_decision_made": false,
  "donation_descision": false,
  "platform_index": 1,
  "thread_delay": 2000
}

Does anyone know why I cannot get the 2nd GPU to work?  I have no problem with miner0 but miner1 always fails.

System Info - Windows 10 Pro 64bit, Intel i5, (2) EVGA GTX 1070's

Thank you - pokeytex

Is that donation "descision" typo error?

Better to use cudaminer in linux or boolberry easyminer in windows. Cudaminer link : https://github.com/clintar/bbr-cudaminer

Easyminer link :
https://github.com/clintar/cpuminer-multi-opencl you might need clintar's help to compile for windows

LOL - I just copied it from the web.  However, I will be more than happy to donate when someone gets me up and running across all of my rigs.  I need to know how to get all gpus mining as well as multiple rigs to the same wallet?  I will check out the links you posted.  Ty - pokeytex

Hey everyone, updated the CUDA GPU miner with some of KlausT's improvements: https://github.com/Vorksholk/PascalCoin-CUDA/releases/tag/v1.04

No promise that the new miner can actually mine blocks, but if anyone gets a block with this, please let the rest of us know. About 360% performance improvements, I'm getting around 900 MH/s on an overclocked 1080.

I've also seen some people worried about the PascalCoin wallet saying "Error: Proof of work is higher than target payload." This isn't a problem--the way my miner works (and presumably some others that are floating around now, although I haven't looked at the code for them) is by submitting shares that meet a target of 24000000. Note that we are currently on track for a target of 31000000 soon, which is 8192 times higher, so you should expect to see, on average, 8192 of those errors per actual block mined. The miner is submitting shares to the wallet, effectively. These shares don't count for anything unless they meet the target.

Your miner works!

I just found two blocks in rapid succession (with only one block between them  Cheesy) with a rather low hashrate.

Awesome, thanks!!

@Vorksholk - does this look correct?

Am I actually mining?

Does anyone know how to get more than (1) gpu per rig to work on Pascalcoin?  I have tried all options and can get no luck.

More than one? First tell us how you got that first one sending 'nonces' that were accepted on wallet?

nope - no luck there either -  Error: Proof of work is higher than target payload

Hell All.  So I downloaded the new cudaminer from klaus and I cannot seem to get the (5) gpus to run at all.  No matter how many instances or devices a mark.  Is there a trick I am missing?

well i can make a tutorial if you want, but im worried about that error
can you get one to run?

I can get all 3 of mine to run... but the error bothers me... i dont want to show people how to waste electricity if thats all thats happening

I just checked the log and I am getting this error - Error: Proof of work is higher than target payload

Can you tell me how to get all the gpus to run?  I am using -d 0,1,2,3,4  but it only ever mines on device#0

Some nice buying in Yobit.

No more cheap PIO

Not sure where the activity is coming from but it is a good sign.

wow look at the price, 150k satoshi

btw, do you have any idea approximately when will the platform be implement and introduce?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure I saw a March release for beta.  But don't hold me to that.  Banzai can confirm.

While I work on the preview-version I promised to my patrons,
it would be nice if someone could help me find a good-looking worldmap that we could use within the spreadwallet.

It should be free to use, creative commons.
And it should be based on SVG format (Vector data)
possibly even have each country's border available as its own separate data point that I can access.

Any ideas?

I will leave you with that, I've got stuff to do.

Stay tuned.

@georgem - this one looks promising?

Here's a short new update video about the current state of spreadwallet development.

I demonstrate the general behaviour of the explorer tabs, and a few of the commands that you can currently use.
You can type the block_nr, with or without coin name. Right now it will just show basic block-header-data. (More to come soon)
You can do a getaddr to ask a full node to inform you about the peers it knows (or has seen in the past. It will list the 100 most recent ones)
You can do a ping on any IP.
You can do a portcheck on an IP that will tell you which of the coins in your coin-list is running on that IP.

Stay tuned for more.  Smiley

Still working on the podcast (and a dozen other things), don't worry.  Wink

Ty @georgem - I am digging the look and functionality of the wallet/interface.  I appreciate the update.

@m1n1ngP4d4w4n - What kind of power does a 10 rig system run on draw for watts per month and cost?  What is your cost per kwh?  Do you run this on a home circuit?  110v or 220v?  Just curious because I want to jump up to (10) rigs but am scared as hell because I only have a 200 amp home service.  Also, my cost per kwh is .15 usd.

between 695/830w per rig depending on algo, cost per kw is 0.145$, home circuit yes with 220v, had to upgrade the main breaker but it was as easy as a phone call to the power company went from a 9kva one to 32kva, 6x16amps lines were added by me to the circuit to power everything up (added enough for about 20ish rigs @1000w) cost per rig is between 2-3$ of electricity per day depending on algo, making plan to lower my electricity bill and upgrade the circuit in 6months or so if everything goes well with my plan, we'll see Smiley

200 amps isn't too bad, but it depend 110v or 220v for your home circuit (22kw or 44kw) if you don't have this many appliances @ home, you should run fine 10 rigs. Things to be careful is the case when your electricity goes down, to have a system to alternate system start, because if you have 10 rig going up at the same time, you could load-up your circuit, and make the breaker go out or blow.

@m1n1ngP4d4w4n - Wow nice setup.  I have a 200amp service running at 110volts.  I can install 220v circuits and I like your idea of an alternating starter for the systems.  Question - how do you convert your power supply from 110v to 220v?  I have looked everywhere in Home Depot and cannot find a solution without the big bulky plug!  Thanks - pokeytex
Most PSU's work 100-240V ( especially branded ) and are 2-3 % more efficient at 220 than 110. Second good thing. And @ 220v currents are half the 110v, less heat on wires.

@AzzAz - I am knowledgeable on how to make the 220v circuit in my home but do you know what device or plug adapter to use for the EVGA 1300 Watt G2 psu?  It only comes with the standard 110v plug.  I looked online for adapters but no luck  Cry

Shot in the dark here but any chance anyone with multiple rigs would be willing to share total hash rate from all rigs and could verify zcl per hour mainly with EWBF miner.  I am entertaining the idea of making an investment for 6 rigs with all gtx 1070's and would like confirmation.  By no means did I do it to make money but I have tested a cloud miner for 5 hours that gives 20k hash rates for my zcl pool and it looks like I might be able to at least get 2 or more zcl an hour.  At the rate now of 1$ per zcl I could do 48$ a day, 336$ a week, 1,344$ a month, 16,128$ a year.  zcl profit calculator shows a bit more http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/zclassic-mining-calculator/?h=18000.00&p=7200.00&pc=0.05&pf=0.00&d=40762.96375668&r=12.50000000&er=0.00121000&btcer=878.08000000&hc=0.00

After the first year it would be pure profit, and I know if it goes down from 1$ I might lose money but there is a chance of gain.  If by the remote chance it makes it to 2$ a zcl I could ROI in half the time and still make close to 16k in 6 or so months.  Could be more depending on where it goes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No problem with ewbf across 10 rigs of 6x GTX 1070, good stability, no crash @ all, running on average 2640sols/s per rig.
But when doing calculation especially on forks & such, don't count making the same all the time, expect the unexpected, that said, GPU mining except if you have insane electricity cost, will always be profitable even if your profit aren't that good, you WILL ROI, but it could take shorter or longer time depending how you do it.
