181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: May 25, 2019, 09:10:00 PM
Vitaliy has long been on this forum not sitting. he has a great team who is engaged in the forum, and someone Twitter. and he was somewhere on a private island givei)

Correct, he don't need to update this forum to make something great for ethereum. as we know, media already keep updates for this coin. So, if we need to know about this projetcs, we can read over internet. About insight on this forum, people already know, where he can visit. like on twitter as mentioned by BitBustah.

Ya, a lot of the big coins no longer even use this forum.  Twitter and Reddit are the two behemoths while this forum is starting to lose visitors.

One big thing I respect about Vitalik is that he donated a lot of money to longevity research.  Money does you no good if you end up one day in a coffin anyways.
182  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where u use bitcoins? on: May 25, 2019, 09:06:05 PM
I don't really spend the btc I have too often.  I usually have to convert it to cash just for convenience.  The few places I do use btc to transact are some smaller online forums.  I have also used Bitify a few times to buy digital items before.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which exchange is going to be the next high volume Altcoin exchange? on: May 25, 2019, 09:03:42 PM
Kucoin was supposed the bext big thing and they had their shares (Kucoin Shares) to receive a part of the revenue they took in but their volume has heavily dropped and they have lost market share to other exchanges like Binance.
184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln on: May 25, 2019, 09:00:16 PM
I actually agree that what Lincoln did was wrong, if states don't want to be a part of the country they should be able to form their own union.  What he did amounts to terrorism against other lands.  I'm not saying Trump is perfect but Lincoln is often hailed as some type of hero when he was not.
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin hit 100k in 2020? on: May 25, 2019, 08:57:59 PM
This is very unlikely to happen and I would actually say its near impossible.  That is over a 10x from the current price and would put the total marketcap in the trillions.  Maybe bitcoin will reach those levels one day but it will take much longer.
186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: do technical actually work on: May 25, 2019, 06:47:48 PM
Technical analysis doesn't apply to crypto the same way it does to the stock market.  Sure you can draw some useful comparisons but this market has much more manipulation and you never know when some crazy whales will come along and dump the price.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardworking pays not luck on: May 25, 2019, 06:42:35 PM
Hardwork has never meant you will become wealthy.  The way the system works is the richest people do the least amount of work while the people at the bottom are digging ditches and picking produce.  A similar concept applies to cryptocurrency, the exchanges that leech off their own customers pull in massive profits.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you dreaming to launch your own coin? on: May 25, 2019, 06:41:10 PM
It would be fun to launch my own coin but I don't have the type of money it takes to be successful.  Exchange listings and advertising costs would cost too much money for me.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs USD - Which one is better? on: May 25, 2019, 06:37:54 PM
Another thing to watch out is the fractional reserve aspect that some of these big exchanges and institutions are starting to bring into bitcoin.  The same perils of the USD are already making its way into crypto.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Better than nicehash ??... on: May 25, 2019, 05:14:32 PM
Nicehash is so popular because it is easiest to use.  They still charge high fees compared to the competition but their platform remains dominant.

Nicehash doesn't support most of the new coin algos so sometimes you have to just speculative mine yourself.
191  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency companies still can’t open bank accounts on: May 25, 2019, 05:10:52 PM
Banks aren't willing to play ball unless they are getting a large cut of the action.  Money talks and they aren't going to risk dealing with small companies.  They will take the risk if they are pulling in big profits because then it is worth their time.
192  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will happen if BTC hit 1.000.000$ on: May 25, 2019, 05:05:10 PM
Sorry but I think John Mcafee is nuts, bitcoin will not hit one million dollars within the time frame he predicted.  Johnny just craves attention, that is why he makes all these crazy predictions.

Even just reaching 100k is unimaginable.
193  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is it hard to say sorry on: May 25, 2019, 05:02:57 PM
Some people just have an ego that is too big, they can't admit when they are wrong.  I can forgive people that did me wrong if they show true regret for what they did and won't repeat the same mistakes that they did in the past.
194  Other / Off-topic / Re: Next Batman: Robert Pattinson on: May 25, 2019, 05:00:52 PM
I'm not really sure if he is a good fit for the next Batman.  Bale did a spectacular job as batman and even George Clooney wasn't terrible.  I think they are doing this as a financial move since he still has a lot of fans from the Twilight days.
195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 25, 2019, 04:53:34 PM
Currey was 3rd team All NBA last year and now he is back on the 1st team.  Lebron was 1st team last year and now he is on the 3rd team, lol.  I still think Lebron is the best player in the NBA but voters but too much weight on how well their team performs.
196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 51btc won in a day on: May 25, 2019, 04:48:29 PM
this is surely going to make many of us jealous. but that's the truth. the more risk you can take is the more money you can make. it's like fo or dies situation. a lot of money is at stake but the most awesome thing is not that he won 51 BTC but it's the 1502 BTC. I mean that is not normal, not everyone can have a bankroll like that. with that much bankroll, he is very much undefeatable by any of the casino's strategy at any odds.

I'll admit wins like this make me quite jealous, It really sucks not being able to afford a house and I could finally do it if I won an amount that big.  Maybe someday it will happen to me but I'm not going to get my hopes up too much.
197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Strategy to overcome losses .. on: May 25, 2019, 04:39:18 PM
I couldn’t agree more, the common mistakes gamblers do is they lose their calmness and as a result they tend to make bad decisions which will of course may result to a bad outcome. It’s good to take a break for a while for you to be able to think carefully and in that way you’ll be able to think of a better strategy.
What I don't understand is when people are trying to force a win. They lose a few times and then they get angry (with the world apparently) and make a bet where the probability to win is very low to none existing... usually it ends up with them losing that bet as well.

this is why it is best to set a strict budget before you start gambling and if you go over that amount just walk away instead of continually trying to recover from your losses.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: May 25, 2019, 04:37:51 PM
ICOs will never die, as long as people have new ideas there will always be new coins and tokens to invest in.  It is definitely a very risk thing to invest in but the gains can be huge.  I haven't totally given up hope yet but I'm just being more careful.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exit Scam on: May 25, 2019, 04:34:53 PM
It is sad because they could have made a lot more money if they actually went through ad developed a useful product.  I guess they just got lazy and saw the easy money up for grabs.  No doubt they will rinse and repeat and continue to make more new projects like this.
200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you watch the matches you're gambling on on: May 25, 2019, 04:28:38 PM
Sometimes I'll bet on matches that are across the world so it isn't always an option for me to watch the live match because I am sleeping.  So it is always a shock when I wake up and check the results in the morning.
