Yeah, BCCI is registered as a charitable organization, hence no direct taxes on its income. @Sithara007 also mentioned a few things about indirect taxes (GST, sales etc), which are already quite big.

Also, Government and BCCI regularly clash over tax issue and fights cases all the time, the real power lies in the hands of the Courts. For example, a couple of years back BCCI won a case regarding IPL income but at the same time, they lost another case ((ICC tournament revenue, it's a different drama) against the Government and they have to pay close to 800 cr to 1200 cr INR in taxes.

I am sure you might be aware of it but those who are not IPL in its first year itself became a Unicorn. It's valuation at that time was $1.1 billion. As of now it is a Decacorn with a valuation of more than $11 billion. Just imagine the amount of money it generates for the Indian government.

Yet comparing it with other franchise has not stopped and for me it doesn't make any sense questioning the amount it pays to the government of India.

GT VS DC

Extremely unhappy by the poor performance of Prithvi Shaw & Sarfaraz Khan. They both created a lot of records in domestic cricket but unfortunately they both are struggling against international bowlers. I do not think Prithvi Shaw would get another chance in the Indian side after such unprofessional batting.

DC is missing Rishab Panth as he and David Warner were the batter who proved their reliability everytime DC needed them. Such a low score batting first the pressure was always on the DC bowlers. Nortje did his level best but other bowlers were not upto the mark.

GT works as a team in every parameter. This is what makes them an unbeaten after 2 matches. I am again expecting them to reach the finals. If they continue to play in the same manner.

Good come back by Bangladesh all because of the captain. If he gets out then again this team will struggle to chase the small target. I am suprised they were struggling to keep their wickets before the Shakib came to bat. Bangladesh still trail by 100 odd runs. They need to score more than 400 runs in the first innings if they want to win this test match. Godd bowling by the Irish bowlers untill now.

Don't know about his selection in the ODI setup but he'll surely put a fair amount of pressure on selectors when they will discuss the T-20 team.

Guys like Gaikwad, Tripathi and Gill will move up in the pecking order and senior players like KL Rahul or even Rohit could take a hit.

Shubman Gill is someone with powerful backers. He can't be grouped in the same category as Rahul Tripathi or Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Gill is a good batter, he does take a little time to settle but after that he will only stop after scoring at least a half century. If Gaikwad continues with his form then I have a gut feeling that he will be part of the ODI squad. For T20 he might replace Ishan Kishan as a opener with Gill. Kishan's performance has been going down consistently.

I just checked his YouTube and GitHub profile. This guy has a lot of contribution to many crypto projects but lacks the skills to be a good YouTube podcaster.

The problem is not with his content the problem is the way he speaks. I was not able to understand because of his fake accent. Some of his questions were not making any sense.

A good software engineer doesn't mean a good Youtuber. This is what I felt after watching his channel.

Bangladesh VS Ireland

A one of test match would be played between these two teams starting today. Bangladesh would miss their star bowler Taskin and the news is that Tamim might also not play. Ireland has three players who have never played any test cricket. Considering that match is being played in Bangladesh and Ireland has not had much experience in the Test format. I would say that Bangladesh won't have trouble defeating the Irish team. On the other hand, Ireland would gain exposure and experience in playing test cricket.

If Rituraj Gaikwad continues to play throughout this season as he has in the previous two games. He might get selected for the ODI team for the world cup. Hands down to Thala once again, I would love to see more of such power-hitting sixes. 217 was a big target and at one point when Myers was batting, I thought LSG would easily chase the target. CSK should have allowed the LSG captain to stay on the pitch for 20 overs. It would have made their win easy. This guy might get removed as a captain of LSG if he continues his bad form. 20 runs in 17 balls I guess he forgot that he is playing a 20 over match.

1809  Local / India / Can you cashout gift card from Amazon pay to bank? on: April 03, 2023, 03:08:55 PM
I am not so into finding jugad but considering the tax issue I went ahead and checked with one of my friend who is always using Amazon & Flipkart for most of his domestic requirements. The reason for me asking such a stupid question was to find out whether you can cash an Amazon gift card using Amazon pay.

I found out that you can transfer the gift card amount to your bank account but you need to pass full KYC. Now the question that came into my mind was is their any tax involved for using a coupon on an Amazon or any other online platform? If yes then why use Bitrefill? If not then what are the implications of passing KYC of Amazon pay?

I am aware the max you can get as a gift coupons is 5k as I recently made a purchase on Bitrefill. The problem is if I pass full KYC can I still cashout with regular intervals before Amazon start questioning my transaction?

If anyone here has tried it please leave a reply.

Thanks in advance.

P.S- Please ignore my typo mistake as this time is midnight for me.

I won't be surprised if it happens.

Good teams like New Zealand and South Africa are already struggling with their schedule and playing only 2-3 test match series. Teams with a rich history of Test cricket, like the Windies and Pakistan are just trying to keep up with pale imitation.

Another factor which I am sure everyone will agree here is the popularity of T20 leagues. Every board has now started its own league to increase the revenue. New and upcoming boards are also following the same footsteps.

I haven't heard any board coming out with negative revenue figures from there respective leagues tournaments. If every boards keeps on concentrating only on T20 format then how will test cricket and ODI survive.

I think the only way both both these formats can survive is only when the respective boards themselves decide on how to revive both of them. At the moment they are least bothered as they are busy in generating revenue from the shorter format.

Chennai Super Kings vs Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow Super Giants who are new to this event will fight today at Chennai Super Kings' own venue. Chennai Super Kings have more wins at home. As such they will plan again today. On the other hand Lucknow Super Giants is new but they have a strong position. Moreover, in a spin dependent field, both teams will definitely try to keep spin bowlers in today's squad. Lucknow Super Giants got off to a good start in the first match and today's match will have a target to continue their winning streak.

CSK has a strong batting line-up but the team lacks reliability. In the last match Gaikwad was the reason why CSK was able to put on scoreboard a competitive target. None of the other batters were able to contribute to the target. I also feel Dhoni is should come early to bat, the way he batted in the end overs was incredible.

Mark wood and Kyle Mayers have proven in the previous game against DC that they can easily decide the fate of a match single handedly. I do not think LSG will have any problems problems if these two players can repeat their performance.in today's match.

Hello & Welcome to the Indian local board. I do follow a YouTube channel for better understanding of different projects in the crypto space as here the changes are pretty fast and it is not easy to keep up with everything happening around.

The channels name is Bitinning and the owner of this channel is Kashif Raza. Previously he owned a YouTube channel names Crypto kanoon. It sems he has sold it and started this new channel.

RCB VS MI

Another day, another game but the difference was the way both the teams batted. MI had a pathetic start as usual both the openers failed to give a good start. Whereas RCB had a little bit shaky start but both openers were going after the bowlers which ended up them winning the first match of this season.

It has become common to see players dropping important catches in this season. Both teams had an equal amount of catch drops. What I really liked was to see the confident in the eyes of Virat Kohli while he was batting. As usual he took his time but later on there was nothing that could have stopped him.

Still not sure which one to choose but currently in the process of finding one.

Moving to Portugal or any EU country can be considered as an option as they are crypto-friendly in terms of taxations and trading or starting up a crypto company is a welcome move in most parts of EU. This is probably one of the reasons why majority of the DAOs and other small scale crypto projects set up their base in EU rather than USA. United States on the other hand is creating forceful crypto regulations and many startups are moving away from the country in large numbers.

I would consider Portugal to be a better country for migration from India as the cost of living is more or less similar to our country and it is easier to get a visa once you land there. The country grants Digital Nomad Visa for remote workers who earns $2000 or more per month and you can get one as soon as you move there in a tourist visa. Getting a Digital Nomad from our country would be troublesome as the Delhi-Portugal embassy is notorious for stealing your passports and there are cases where the passport was never returned to the candidate unless they went to greater extremes of filing a complaint on them Grin

If your crypto net worth is sizeable, sitting and wasting your time in this country would attract unnecessary government intervention in the future.

@Heisenberg_Hunter @pakhitheboss Just in case you guys decide to go to EU or any country and start your own company then do give me a job as well  Tongue
I am good at finding bugs and can help you in research, analysis, implementation and execution.

Well moving to a different country which is cypto friendly is the reason why many Indians have left India.
I guess Dubai is also crypto friendly as I just read few days ago someone moving to Dubai because of India's high crypto taxation.

Thanks @Heisenberg_Hunter for the brief reply about Portugal. @pawanjain it is too early to hire you but incase I will keep in mind. Some of my friends do live in Dubai. It is a crypto friendly country but the problem is standard of living. The cost of rent and other essential commodities are way too high. INR 1 Lakh every month won't be enough for you.
1816  Local / India / Re: How to buy anything in India with cryptocurrency? on: April 02, 2023, 11:04:22 AM
Just wanted to add to this thread that today I made a purchase for a small amount to check the platform and everything went smoothly. I would like to recommend them if anyone here wants gift cards from various Indian e-commerce platforms.

Apart from Bitcoin they also support other cryptos like Ethereum. Litecoin, Dogecoin and multiple USDT blockchains.

Let's wait for a decade or so, i believe that many full members are going to accept the fact that Test cricket is just a loss-making affair for them.

Most of them are already aware of the reality that's why no one plays 4-5 test match series (except BIG-3). They just don't want to accept it and the main reason is a romanticization of Test cricket, thanks to ICC and the old guard.

In 10 years time I think we only see the big 3 playing bilateral tri series of test cricket whereas the other boards only going after T20 & ODI format. The craze for T20 might even destroy ODI. At the moment only a few countries have good viewership of ODI and only four or five teams in the world can play competitive ODI games.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 02, 2023, 09:17:55 AM
I missed the starting of the match and hence missed out on wagging a bet because Netherlands was not a competitive team for the South African squad and if there is no rain intervention like the first ODI, South Africa will be winning easily and this is the perfect opportunity for new players to get some experience and cement their place for the next World Cup.

As expected South Africa destroyed the Netherlands team in the first ODI. They scored only 189 runs after batting for more than 45 overs. A score below 200 in ODI is not at all competitive. In just 30 overs and after losing 2 wickets SA won the match. I am expecting the same kind of outcome in today's match too. SA has lost 2 wickets and has scored 76 runs in 15 overs.

Yesterday's match between LSG and DC was the most entertaining after CSK vs GT. I hope we can see more of such matches in IPL. As usual, KL Rahul's performance has not yet gone up and I think he will struggle in the same manner throughout this season. Mark Wood was very impressive yesterday, he took 5 wickets but the most impressive part was when he took 2 wickets back to back. I was expecting Sarfaraz Khan to show his explosive batting same goes for Prithvi Shaw but both were a big disappointment for me. Another setback was the crappy fielding by DC.
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: April 02, 2023, 09:04:39 AM
T20 is much more competitive then test and ODI. We saw Zimbabwe and Netherlands in last T20 World Cup beating teams like Pakistan and South Africa. This is something not possible in test as test is proper cricket and you can compete in test only if you have genuine cricket infrastructure. I think Bangladesh is the last country to join as a full test team since then there is no such inclusion. T20 is liked and most viewed format that's why ICC must promote this cricket in countries that are willing to join.

No doubt T20 is more engaging and aggressive than any other format of cricket. The viewership as well as the fan base is also big. Cricketers do love T20 as it is the shortest format of cricket and it also helps increases their earnings than test cricket. The only reason why still some cricket fans follow Test cricket is that it is a format of skills, fitness, and patience. Not everyone in today's generation has the patience to watch cricket for full 5 days.
