1161  Local / India / Re: Uber shines light on acceptance of bitcoin on: August 03, 2023, 05:28:51 AM
That is great news from Uber as it is available in all big and small economy countries. I doubt they would be able to accept Bitcoin in India. There are two reasons behind it, the first Indian government and the second Uber Indian drivers. It seems now days they are asking more money than what Uber app is asking. I have recently shifted to Rapido from Uber & Ola as I found them better.
1162  Local / India / Re: Reincarnation of our community on: August 03, 2023, 05:19:17 AM
Additionally, Welcome to Indians topic is getting spammed to the core Grin They should obviously be replaced by NEW PEOPLE JOINING INDIAN SUB: INTRO AND MERIT. The Primary reason for creation of the same was for replacement but it never happened. So, let us request for that as well.

What else do you think would require unpinning from the top?

I feel you should unpin New people joining asap. I just went through the thread and it getting spammed royally. I can even see non Indians newbies using it to introduce themselves. It doesn't make any sense, when it is clearly mentioned that the board is for Indians.

Recently I filed my ITR and felt these new platforms are over charging users for calculating VDA & for filing ITR. I think we as a community with the help of webtricks should create a guide thread. The thread should teach on how to file ITR using ITR2 & 3 form. What do you think?
1163  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: August 02, 2023, 02:52:25 AM
[

demo account from the casino is only intended to know the features of a real game simulation. but indeed a demo account may be designed to make novice players have a pleasant experience. That is what will make novice gamblers interested in depositing some of their money to play for real.
the most important thing is not a matter of winning and losing on the demo account. but adapt to the game that will be carried out. Demo accounts may not be of use to gamblers who are already proficient in certain games at some casinos. but for beginners, a demo account can give a little idea of the game to be carried out.

That little idea that a new user gets about a particular game always lead to debt. If a casino wants to lure new members they should restrict them from depositing a big amount or should give some guidance as to start with small amount. Such initiative would encourage responsible gambling but why would they do it. They are running the business to make profits, which is good but some sensitivity towards users would give them a good reputation.
1164  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: August 02, 2023, 02:37:45 AM
Demo mode can actually be used as a learning tool for novice gamblers, even though there are differences between demo mode and live mode gambling, most demo modes make it easier to get big wins as if it had been set to win gamblers so they can increase their confidence before trying the live mode and end up gambling in live mode never tasting a win except a losing streak.

But even so still in my opinion it will be considered gambling using fake money I believe demo mode is definitely useful for new users to test games and gambling to understand how it works even though there is a difference in luck between demo mode and live mode. but there is no difference, it's just that one uses fake money, the other is real money.  Cheesy

Demo account are a big waste of time as using them would only convince the newbie that gambling is an easy way to double your investment. It will convince them to start with big amount after sometime resulting them losing the principal amount instantly when they play using a live account.

I would consider using a demo account as gambling although real money is not involved but because of easy scenarios being created to give an idea to a new member on how to play a particular game.
1165  Local / India / Re: Supreme Court Grants Bail To Man Booked For Cryptocurrency Fraud on: August 02, 2023, 02:27:04 AM
Did anyone noticed India's digital INR doesn't have the face of Gandhi. The opposition did not even look into this while the ruling party is quietly changing everything. With the national currency.

We can't expect anything more if we have leaders such as

Finance minister - with no knowledge about finance
RBI Governor - Who will agree to whatever the central government says
Prime Minister -  Who never address people's struggle

And the list goes on indefinitely. Cry

I won't say that our current ministers are not competent enough to hold such governing position. The might not be as interested in our domain as they are in other. In just 10 years time India has become an economic giant. They might have committed mistakes but we can't ignore the fact that our country has developed a lot from what it used to be earlier. I am wating for the G20 meeting to start as a lot of confusion in our domain would be clear. There are an indication that a global regulation might come up in the meeting.
1166  Local / Mining (India) / Re: is it profitable to mine in India ? on: August 01, 2023, 10:15:47 AM
If you can afford to spend about 3 lacs then with one Antminer L7 and Solar electric supply you can get back your investment in six month with nicehash mining. Do remember your miner should mine 24/7 in this period. I have been doing research on the solar electric and found the central government does have scheme which make it cheaper to buy and install. You can visit this website for more information: https://solarrooftop.gov.in/rooftop_calculator

Apart from the mining instrument the electricity to power up the ant miner L7 needs 20KW solar capacity to run 24/7 which will at least cost around 7.5Lakh to 12 lakh including subsidy.

I did check it with subsidy in my state for setting up solar panel the cost will be 6.6Lakh. it depends from state to state. If I am able to generate a revenue of 50k every month then I can still make some profit. The solar panel can be bought using the government EMI scheme. I checked the EMI using the calculator provided and the amount to be paid every month would be 13634 for the next 5 years wherein I still make a profit of 36k. I can deduct 10k as other expenses and still I am able to generate a passive income of 26k every month.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: August 01, 2023, 02:44:09 AM
Gambling is also easier understood by people in general than Bitcoin, because it's already part of their culture and tradition since a long ago, therefore people have contact with gambling probably since their childhood. And with contact with gambling I don't mean access to physical or online casinos, but to daily plays which involve betting on some events that may occur along the day and on determined situations. That gives people a good notion of gambling and get them familiarized with this, so when they grow older, it will be a piece of cake to join a casino and start playing.

With Bitcoin, on the other hand, people may get aware about it only during their adulthood, so they will have more difficulties familiarizing with this.

Yeah, gambling is not that complicated like Bitcoin can be to everyone. As a kid everyone has experienced gambling in one way or the other. Bitcoin came into existence a decade back and most of the humanity still doesn't know that Bitcoin exist.  Whereas if you ask about gambling to anyone on the street they would know about it. Although you wouldn't hear anything good about it. Comparing both doesn't make any sense for me. This is like comparing Bitcoin with gold wherein both are different entities.
1168  Local / India / Re: Worldcoin: the cryptocurrency that wants to scan your balls on: August 01, 2023, 02:22:08 AM
Here we go another big tech giant has found a way to convince everyone voluntarily to scan their irish. Google AI tool for retinal scan can predict cardiovascular risk. Don't know how authentic this news is as it was printed in Indian media. This new tech might be good in determining the health of human heart. Still it feels like invading privacy on the pretext of keeping heart healthy & detecting medical issues in advance.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: August 01, 2023, 02:12:14 AM
When it comes about getting updates, football being the most recognized and populous fans sport in the world, it is very easy to get updates from people around us about football than when we play other games and bet sports and games that are not common, but in football, we can easily get the best updates going and use any of the informations received to bet base on how we understand the formation of the info received since football is very common unlike other sports.

What you are saying to an extent is correct if you are surrounded by people who are into football. In my country people are crazy about cricket and the local media does keep us updated. Apart from cricket, football does intrest me but it is not easy for me to keep a track of all leagues. That is why I follow only one league and place bet on matches where I feel confident. In case of cricket I am not selective or saturated to one league. I am following multiple league as I am more updated due to my surroundings.
1170  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some poker terminologies you may want to know on: August 01, 2023, 01:23:10 AM
Never played poker in my life and do not understand the rules but found this thread to be intresting. I was not aware of these terminologies that the OP has shared. I do understand that poker is a game of skills and like other sports it would have various terms. This is really interesting and this thread does instigate me to know more about this game and how it is played. Thanks OP for sharing these terminologies.
1171  Local / India / Re: Which CEX to trade now after Kucoin new KYC requirment? on: July 31, 2023, 03:14:13 AM
But I think the problem with Bitget will be the volumes for many pairs. I saw CMC for Bitget it doesn't has that much volumes, so the problem will still be the same. yes you can do hold your coins and do some swing trading but intraday is going to be relatively difficult kn this platform. I would rather suggest go KYC if you have that big of portfolio to trade.

You cannot compare Bitget exchange with other big cryptocurrencies exchange. I did check the volume and effective pairs available on this exchange and found it to be satisfactory. Most traders want USDT and they have paired it with every cryptocurrency. With KYC if you can still make a buy and sell then it is good for anonymous trading. You still have the option of DEX like pancakeswap and uniswap but getting the same benefits and more from a centralized exchange is rare now days.
1172  Economy / Gambling / Re: CasinoX.World - online review guide on: July 31, 2023, 02:44:26 AM
I just checked your website and found the visual design is modern and found it to be pleasant to the eyes. It is simple to understand and can be easily accessible without any issues. I did scroll to the bottom and found you have dedicated a page to provably fair casinos why don't you add another page to display those casinos that promote responsible gambling? That would come in handy for those users who are visiting your website. The latest casino review heading does not have an actual review but has an affiliate link that takes you to the casino. This might not look good in the long term if someone new wants to check an actual review.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 31, 2023, 02:31:56 AM
I have often seen some users arguing that sport bets have no house edge and as you state this is not true, casinos are not a charity offering their services for no gain to themselves, they have a lot of expenses they need to cover and they give themselves a small edge on every single bet and try to balance their books so regardless of the outcome they make money.

This is how they keep themselves on business, however thanks to the fact that sports bets is a game in which not everything is up to luck then this house edge can be overcome with skillful play, it is not easy but it can be done by those that know a particular sport really well.

I agree with what you are saying Casinos are run to make profits and they would use different strategies to make money. However, to break the house edge a user can user has to be selective and utilize their sports betting skills to find accurate bets against the odds. Apart from that disciplined money management and risk assessment is very crucial. These things do give a slight edge over the house, they do not work all the time but they do help a pro bettor in long term. A casual bettor like us won't be able to overcome the house edge in the long term.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering - share your opinion on: July 31, 2023, 02:22:05 AM
Wagering is an activity to redeem gambling bonuses, increase the rank of your account in a casino and a whole series of other advantages ...
If you are wagering only to redeem bonuses and increase your rank then it can be very risky. It is always advised to check the t&c before wagering otherwise you might incur a big loss. I always prefer reading the condition before I decided to wager as it gives me clear information about the benefits. Higher rank does provide lucrative promotion but they are always different across casinos. Again it is always good to understand the structure and the benefits before wagering.
1175  Local / India / Re: Worldcoin: the cryptocurrency that wants to scan your balls on: July 29, 2023, 08:52:53 AM
I was going through the worldcoin literature and found the concept to be unique. They are using proof-of-personhood consensus instead of proof-of-work. Which means your unique identity will help you to mine the coin. Since, the goal of Worldcoin is to build a global digital currency along with an identity system that is why they are using using iris scanning technology. You can change your fingerprint but you cannot change your irish. Your irish scan being unique is linked to wallet which makes it ver safe & secure. The proby here is that it is centralized. Like picoin they have not blocked the tokens. You can straightaway trade them. Still privacy is a major concern for me.

If their goal is to become the global digital currency then they are very very far from achieving their goal because I think it would require acceptance from majority of the countries around the world.
If the go the other way around by ditching government authorities then they would need the support of majority of people across various countries of the world.
Such kind of support is lacking even for bitcoin and I don't think worldcoin will be able to do this. Besides that, people will be able to mine just because they are human ? sounds funny to me.

Agreed with your point that they would need government support. The craze of world coin is rapidly gaining support in third world countries. I stumbled upon a news which I am sharing here:  Why Kenyans are scanning their eyeballs for Sh7,000 Worldcoin cryptocurrency tokens. It seems at the moment they won't need to anything. All they need to do is to take permission from the government to install their orb in different cities and lure citizen with the offer of free token. The pic that you have published is a clear indicator that the government of India has allowed them to scan the irish of Indian. Now it all depends whether a person want to sell his irish scan for INR 4000. Those who have the knowledge of cryptocurrency would surely fall for the airdrop.
1176  Local / India / Re: Supreme Court Grants Bail To Man Booked For Cryptocurrency Fraud on: July 29, 2023, 08:42:45 AM
I am a big supporter of regulation in the cryptocurrency domain. There might be many benefits of using this domain but there are many illegal activities that can be performed with ease too. The problem with our government is that it wants Indian economy to grow through those fields that are already been utilised by the top 4 world economics. They are simply copying the US and following the Chinese. They don't want anything else to help Indian economy.

Look what SEC is doing in the US and what China has already done in the mainland with cryptocurrency. They are doing the same thing and until anyone out of these two come up with a regulation our government won't venture into that zone. This is why a lot of Indians are now migrating to countries that are encouraging emerging technologies like cryptocurrency. I am not expecting a regulation from the Indian government till next year.

1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of Crypto vs. Traditional Gambling on: July 28, 2023, 09:18:25 AM
What I really noticed in traditional casino or gambling is that the way you deposit money on it is sometimes difficult, like there are many platforms that you need to go through. There are still casinos that have used e-wallets with our local currency, but the problem is that most of those casinos that are using them that I am aware of are not legal; they mostly got closed down, and others won't release your winnings. That is mostly what I have noticed, and there are no established online casinos that I know of in our country that are using e-wallet. That is why I prefer crypto, as it is legal internationally and has been established already.

Yes, deposit and withdrawal in traditional casino is not that fast as crypto casino. You have to go through multiple payment processing interface in traditional casino. Payment can take days to hit your bank account. e-wallet are just waste of time, they to take the same time to refill. Only positive thing is that the gambler doesn't need to wait for his deposit if he regularly refills the wallet. There are lot of advantages of using crypto casinos than traditional ones.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: July 28, 2023, 08:21:20 AM
A man run naked in a Las Vegas casino (Linq Casino) and jumped on the poker table and started to dance. He was arrested instantly by the security, however his family says that he was drunk and therefore he did such type of act.

More details can be read here Naked Gyrating Guy Arrested at Harrah’s Las Vegas Was Drugged, Family Claims

The point here is why gamblers do such shameless acts and what the rules of the casino suggest the penality for these acts. Do you think the gambler did it purposefully perhaps to become popular in the headlines  Huh

First of all, I do not think dancing naked on a poker table goes beyond normal behavior. Such an action would cause discomfort to other gamblers and the staff of the casino, imagine the scene this idiot created. Whether he is intoxicated or not is a different scenario and in my opinion, he should be banned from all casinos to set an example that such behavior in the future would not be tolerated. The next time a gambler thinks about doing something weird he would think twice before committing it. In such cases, a casino has all the right to take legal action against such hooliganism and I am certain they would have taken it by now. They have some of the most strict policy when it is related to the safety and reputation of a casino.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 5 Things to Consider When Choosing an Online Casino on: July 28, 2023, 08:09:06 AM
Apart from what OP mentioned I always look for payment options, payout speed, and Bonus offers. Payment option because I do need to know what is the minimum deposit amount and withdrawal. I also check if my favorite crypto is supported by the casino as of now most of them give multiple options. Payout speed plays an important factor as most reputable casinos provide instant withdrawal. Almost every casino nowadays provides incredible bonuses and offers what I check are the criteria to get those bonuses. Most reputable casinos would not create hard or easy criteria they would be moderate which is plus sign for me.
