Oh yes I saw this as well. Infact I have had a lot of encounters with people who actually found a few lacs in their assets because their fathers and forefathers left some shares with them. Infact government has even opened a portal where you can check if you have any such shares on name of your father or grandparents etc. One problem this thing can't happen in bitcoin because there is no way to get the private key back once lost.

The problem of inheriting bitcoin is genuine but the workaround is there by creating a will that passes the coins to the heir.
But if the person has not created any will then surely the coins are lost if he hasn't created any backup for his family to find out.
I guess this is the importance of KYC documents and declaring our assets to the government.
May be after the regulations are set there will be an implementation for this as well.

Regulation would take time as per the timeline submitted by IMF & FSB in the G20 summit. We cannot wait for regulation when we don't know what will be in it.

In the meantime we can share with someone in our family our wallets private key. Life is unpredictable, if anything happens to us our family will have access to the Bitcoin or crypto in our wallet.

It is not that Bitcoin cannot be inherited in our Indian society. We do share have a joint bank account with our partner why not have a multisig wallet with them. Keep your Satoshis in that wallet and pass on the information to your kids. Nothing is impossible in India.
1062  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: El Salvador: bitcoin education in school curriculum on: September 12, 2023, 05:18:55 AM
Bitcoin was made legal tender in 2021. In 2023, the government realized that kids needed to be taught about Bitcoin. Don't you think this decision should have been taken by the Education Ministry in 2022? While I welcome this new chapter, I feel they should have made this decision earlier. It is the same old story - the government is always late in making the right decision.

In my country, there is a state which has already added Bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrency to the school curriculum. It happened last year; other states have not changed the curriculum yet but they will have to do it soon. I think every country where Bitcoin is popular, the government should add Bitcoin to its school curriculum. Kids need to be taught about Bitcoin as they are taught about their local fiat. That will help the country and the government of that country in the future.

Pakistani bowlers fitness is now becoming an issue. Due to injury of Rauf, the Pakistani were left with only four bowlers yesterday. Then Naseem Shah who was bowling really well got injured and couldn't complete his over. Pakistan has to have an option if their bowlers get injured, which for now they don't have any.

Babar Azam poor captaincy was another reason why India won. When he knew Naseem Shah was bowling out swingers well, why did he not put in a slip. He never thought of attacking the Indian batters, he was throughout yesterday playing a defensive game.

Personally I never throught that KL Rahul would have a brilliant comeback. He went through a thigh surgery a few months back but the way he was running between the wicket, felt like he never had that surgery. The heat and humidity did not even bother him as he went on to score his comeback century.

Kuldeep was on to something yesterday, he took five wickets in a pressure match. Seeing Bhumra bowling is always a pleasure, still maintaining the speed and spot-on line length.

India will be playing  again today on the same ground against Srilanka. I am not expecting the same performance again today but I am expecting them to win today's match. I would love to see Pakistan getting into the finals and playing against India once again.

The history part is very precise and to the point. About the opposition I am sure BJP is doing this to taunt I.N.D.I.A. The name game is just a political instrument taken by the BJP to prepare for the upcoming elections. I still think there shouldn't be any issue if Bharat becomes the official name of India. Many countries have done it in the past and we can also do it.

They don't need to change anything as both names are mentioned in the constitution and can be used interchangeably. Bringing any amendment only because of a name change is not a good optic and a big waste of time. All they have to do is use the word "Bharat" regularly, officially or unofficially that's it.

I am waiting for an upcoming special session and expecting some juicy stuff from Mota bhai. Maybe UCC? Idk but how will everyone react if it's about freeing temples from the government's control? Pipe dream atm but seriously that would be something.

Nothing new for the ruling party, they are known for disrupting the political peace in India. They were able to successfully stop the opposition alliance from interfering in the G20 summit by announcing the special session of Parliament before the summit. Till now no one knows what agenda or bill would be up for discussion. The opposition is in the guessing mode and is trying to prepare for the discussion without knowing what to discuss.  Grin

According to some media reports UCC & declaring Kashmir as a state might happen between 18th to 22nd of this month. If these two topics come up in this session ,then another milestone would be achieved by the ruling party. For the time being we can keep guessing just like the opposition has been doing so far.

1067  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: September 11, 2023, 06:44:03 AM
If its indeed a no KYC casino then i believe that many gambler will like to give a try provided that they have the required services that tricks gamblers interest, they will also have their own way of making gamblers feels at home and maintain that steadfastness because gamblers experience is a key in using a gambling platform and that's part of the reasons gamblers migrate from one casino to another, alot of people have been having series of issues that partains with KYC o several occasions and getting a gambling platform that already had solution to that will make them feels comfortable in using the platform for gambling.

It is not a casino but a casino review website. They list down casinos that offer no kyc & kyc. It is an interesting way to get affiliate commission from casinos. The problem with no kyc casino's is that they don't have licence to operate. You will not be able to do anything if they shut down.

Kyc casinos are generally those that have licence. Having licence do increases their trust among gamblers. Any dispute can be taken through proper channel since the have a licence. Still the risk prevails that you might lose your coins if the shut down. The risk is lesser to a casino offering no kyc.

Have you heard the rumors that once India changes it's name to Bharat, Pakistan will claim that name.
They are saying that since Pakistan has the origin of Indus Civilization it has the right to change it's name to India.
If this really happens I am not sure how it's gonna be. It's really weird.

I don't think that the government of Pakistan has officially stated that they would claim the name India. Such stupid statement are coming out from a few group, who call themselves Pakistani intellectuals. Looking at the past, It is their full time job to stick their nose in every Indian affairs. Changing name won't get them a good reputation globally or would help their economic situation unless they change themselves.  Smiley
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: September 11, 2023, 05:18:11 AM
Before the match was stopped due to the rain, the game was equally placed between both teams. India started well but lost it when Pakistan got hold of Rohit and then Gill. The new batters Kohli and Rahul were just trying to settle in when the rain interruption happened. I am also confused with Colombo's weather, it was sunny while the Indian openers were playing and as soon as they were out it started raining.

25 more overs need to be bowled in order to end India's innings. Looking at Colombo's weather forecast for today, I am concerned whether this match will be completed today. Imagine before Pakistan goes to bat if it again starts drizzling like yesterday, What will the ACC do? I believe choosing Sri Lanka as a venue for the Asia Cup was a bad decision. UAE would have been the right decision for this year's Asia Cup.

Rain can disrupt today's match between Bangladesh and Srilanka. I feel that the ACC should have given this match also the same preference like the match between India and Pakistan but, that will extend the schedule of this tournament. I am hoping that today's match doesn't get abandoned. The frustration of cricket fans like me of not being able to enjoy a cricket match because of rain interruption is now making this tournament unenjoyable.

I think Srilanka has a good chance against Bangladesh today. They are quite good when they are playing in their home ground. Bangladesh team has become unpredictable and unreliable.
1075  Local / India / India Pushes for Global Crypto Regulation Under Its G20 Presidency on: September 08, 2023, 06:46:24 AM
As per this article, a global Bitcoin & crypto regulation is in the making. The government of India under its G20 presidency will be presenting a synthesis paper by IMF & FSB India in the upcoming G20 meeting this weekend. Already there is a consensus on this subject. It is only waiting for its approval by the leaders.

In my opinion, if this framework gets approved anonymity and privacy would not be available for anyone dealing in cryptocurrency. Already the US is trying to pass a bill wherein all DEX will need to implement KYC norms for its users. I believe this is not going to go well among those who want to hide their identity from the government and be part of this revolution.

When approved the regulation framework around Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will be cross border and not subjected to only India. What do you guys think?
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: September 08, 2023, 05:58:46 AM
Due to rain, there is zero interest left in the Asia Cup. It was better to shift Asia Cup to either UAE or call it off once BCCI refused to play in Pakistan. The Asia Cup is moving only on stats as not many games are played due to rain. Till now there is only one game in super four between Pakistan and Bangladesh which Pakistan won comfortably. SL has more chances of making it to super four then Bangladesh.

Nothing can be done now as the matches would be played in Srilanka. I agree on the point that rain interruption are frustrating and you tend to lose interest when it happens multiple times. I am hoping that match between India & Pakistan goes smoothly on September 10th. Rain should not play a spoil sport this time. The last match between these two got a abandoned due to rain.

I saw that thread too but with very little activity, I am not sure if we have a chance to stand with, especially among the Nigerian friends who congested the whole thread with tons of submissions.

It's not about chance, if he feels your topic deserves merit he will give it. Yes, there are a lot of submissions by the Nigerian board that does not mean he won't look into your post. As per the last update he is out of Merits for now and will get them in 5 day's time. You can submit your post with max 10 topics on that thread. Do check the rules and the format before submitting.
1078  Local / India / Indian Stock Markets VS Bitcoin on: September 07, 2023, 10:01:39 AM
Recently I came across an article that celebrated the Indian stock market's performance. It seems the Indian stock market has delivered a 10.9% return, which is higher than the US & China.

It is great news that the Indian economy is shining and growth has been straight upward in the last decade. As an Indian, it makes me proud when I recall where we were in 2013 to where we are now in 2023. Within that emotional outburst of pride in my mind, a strange question popped up, which was to compare the ROI both from Bitcoin and the Stock Market.

Let's do the math for the Indian Stock Market. If you had invested $100 ten years back with an ROI of 10.9%, your money would have become $235 approximately by now. Not bad considering not many bank FDs or mutual funds are able to generate such an ROI.

Now, let's do the math for Bitcoin. Again, the investment amount in this case would be $100. In August of 2013, the average price of Bitcoin was $135. Considering the price, you would have bought 0.74 Bitcoin. In August of 2023, the average price of Bitcoin was $27,297, which would result in your $100 investment growing to $20,200 ten years later. That is a 201 times return on your initial investment of $100 or, in simple words, a 20100% return.

Think again - which is better, Bitcoin or the Stock Market? If you are someone with diamond hands, then Bitcoin is the right investment. The potential for enormous growth and returns far exceeds traditional investments.

Pakistan team is looking very good and promising in this tournament. The way they ruled in the match against Bangladesh was outstanding. Pakistani bowling attack has been always good, yesterday it was Rauf and Shah that made it a powerhouse. Bangladesh batters were looking like a bunch of amature against them. 193 is not a target that can be defended in a ODI and thats what happened. By losing only 3 wickets Pakistan was able to chase that target and win the match.
1080  Local / India / Re: UPI ATM! Another achivement in Fintech by India on: September 07, 2023, 04:04:03 AM
I am amazed to see how India has been progressing in the Fintech sector. After this launch, I do not think we will require debit cards in the future. This innovation of UPI-based ATMs might become the most secure way of withdrawing cash. The only issue would be to make our older generation learn how to use such ATMs. Already they are struggling to use UPI for day-to-day transactions. Still, I would say it is a huge achievement and such innovation would help India to become a global economic giant in the future.
