1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 18, 2023, 09:42:35 AM
Looks like OP is not able to get out of his gambling habit. Dreaming about playing in a casino surely states how much is his mind occupied because the long hours of dice game. It does happens to everyone whenever you have worked long hours on some job you tend to dream about it. That is why it is always recommended to take a break in between your work. A break act as a refresher, clearing your mind out of job stress.
1122  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opinion on crypto casino project on: August 18, 2023, 08:52:09 AM
A decentralized gambling platform is a good idea but how will get the trust factor. Without any licence half of you users will ignore the casino. Those who will use your platform will not deposit big amount of fear that the games although being said are probably fair but not fair. Overall it would a trust issue rather anoymity. I don't mind clearing KYC if the casino is trustworthy and reliable. You can implement KYC and get a licence using decentralization. Do remember there are players who like playing with Bitcoin. Bitcoin doesn't have a web 3 wallet therefore you need to find some alternative for it.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: August 17, 2023, 05:48:50 AM
I mean, it is natural people do not know what to do with that money. When someone buys a lottery ticket they are supposed to have low expectations on it, because the extremely small chances of actually getting the money. If we argue whether it is better to do plans with money one does not even own or having a lot of money but not being sure of what to do with it.

All those cases when people end up going bankrupt after winning the lottery happen because the least thing which goes through their mind is to talk about a financial advisor or get informed on how the rich manage to keep their bank accounts full through time. So yes, it is about the seeking of self gratification as fast as possible.

I agree, lotteries are designed in a way that it is extremely difficult to win. A lottery ticket buyer won't be expecting a won straight after buying a ticket. Still we have seen big jackpot winners in the past and those who had won have literally lost thier winning. The reason is simple with sudden flow of huge amount the mind will focus on area that this winning amount will give pleasure. That is the reason most winners spend their winning amount on things without even thinking about the depleting amount. That is what I feel as it happens to me when I get paid a bonus from my day job once a year  Grin

Unless both parties ( receiver & sender) wants to disclose it to the public I don't think anyone else can read or scrap those messages. I am not sure whether the admin can access those messages as it is not disclosed to anyone. Furthermore why would ninjastic go after a users PM? Those messages doesn't won't provide any information that can be beneficial for the forum.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: August 17, 2023, 03:20:35 AM
Isn't it common practice for these opportunistic industries to profit off the world's woes? People were already confined to their houses due to the pandemic and suffering from worry when the gambling business swooped in, sensing a chance to earn quick cash! Some people may have learned about cryptocurrency thanks to the growth of online gambling and crypto casinos, but at what cost? People lost sight of the true risks of gambling due to the simplicity of digital transactions. Not only will you lose money right away, but you'll also become involved in the unstable world of cryptocurrency! Why did these folks jump in with both feet into a world they hardly knew? Did they pause to consider the possible repercussions of merging the unpredictable realm of crypto with the uncertain world of gambling?
It is common for any industry to think about opportunities to make profit. Big pharma were the once minting billions at the time of pandemic and not just big pharma other industries associated with pharmacy were also doing big business. It is also a fact that gambling industry is one of the most opportunistic industry across all the domain. In the end they did succeed in generating good revenue but they are the ones who introduced new members to crypto. It did help in adoption and made people aware of both pros and cons of the cryptocurrency market.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: August 17, 2023, 03:08:01 AM
A lot of people become addicted to gambling mainly because they got a profit in their first gambling session which makes them think that gambling is a good way for them to get some extra money as they could do it last time so they can do it again as well, and this makes them gamble again.

Just by winning for the first time doesn't mean that people got addicted to gambling. There are multiple reason behind someones addiction it can be peer pressure, it can be family abuse and many more. You can't blame a moment of win to be th root cause of addiction. I personally feel it all starts with chasing the loss and the hope of recovering everything that gets people hooked to gambling. In the end it gets converted into addiction.
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: August 16, 2023, 04:59:15 AM
Are you sure that there is a strategy that can bring money in trading or gambling on a permanent basis? I don't think there is such a strategy. Gambling and trading are high-risk activities in which the result depends not only on knowledge, skills and experience, but also on luck. Therefore, even if your strategy works today, tomorrow it can bring you such losses that you have never even thought about.

Trading strategy work most of the time whereas except sports betting or poker strategies donot work with luck gambling. I haven't seen anyone being able to get through with strategies as often as gambling. Whereas with trading as in day trading is not that easy for anyone. Day trading does provide a constant flow of daily income but you would need to be a pro in order to become a day trader.

Sorry! I was not able to participate in this quiz by @Bitcoin Smith as I was busy due to personal reasons. Such initiatives are always welcomed on our board and it would certainly encourage new members to participate in such activities. I am hoping for more such quiz in the future about Bitcoin or about the Indian local board. You would have my support if another one is posted.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 16, 2023, 02:46:51 AM
^KYC was expected to ask if you are in a centralized casino but it does not mean all of them steal your money.
It is not necessarily accurate to assume that a casino asking for Know Your Customer (KYC) verification is attempting to steal your money or report you to the government. KYC procedures are standard practice in the gambling industry and many other sectors as well. They are designed to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, such as anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations. You become a trusted and successful casino and being a part of that is to require a KYC. Casinos and other financial institutions are often required to verify the identity of their customers to prevent illegal activities, such as money laundering and fraud. Requesting KYC documentation helps ensure the legitimacy of transactions and maintains a secure environment for all parties involved.

Almost all Casinos have now implemented mandatory KYC verification and it is understandable why they do it. But, you cannot ignore that there have been instances in the past where a trusted online casino has scammed its user by suddenly exiting with all the deposit. Those documents obtained by the casino under the guise of KYC can now be utilized in additional fraudulent activities. They might also sell them in the black market or can be used for online extortion. When a casino forces the customer to go through KYC due to government regulations then those regulations should also be applied to these casinos. I have not seen yet any kind of mandatory law for these casinos by any government to safeguard user data.
1130  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Condolence Bonuses to Betnomi exit scam victims on: August 16, 2023, 02:35:13 AM
If they say each bonus is based on individual circumstances and I got 200 USD for a 28K Betnomi balance.....then I wonder what people with a $500 Betnomi balance got.....$3?

It is still better than nothing! I am sorry about your loss the amount you have quoted is a huge amount and no one can replace your loss. What Trust Dice offered to you is noting compared to the loss but still they were willing to give $200 depending on the circumstances. It is now your choice whether you want to take it or not. It is just an option provided to you and it is not mandatory for you to accept this bonus if you are feeling it is unjustified.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: August 14, 2023, 06:34:49 AM
I do not use credit cards either precisely to avoid any kind of temptation of spending beyond my means, however I have also noticed that many lending apps have appeared and the worst part is the people behind those apps, as most of the time they are criminal gangs which are planning to extort people and at the end you will have to pay way more than what they lent to you, demonstrating once again that using credit to try to gamble is simply a bad idea.

Credit card is a form of lending and when you play with money that you have been lend it always turns bad. It is always recommended to avoid any lended or borrowed money for gambling. If you are unable to pay back that money then it will become a debt trap. That is the whole reason everyone who gambles need to allocate a percentage of their earnings for gambling purpose. It ensures that you don't cross your limit and fall into debt trap due to your habit.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: August 14, 2023, 06:30:14 AM
Concentrating time on trading will be better than playing gambling because trading will give you more opportunities to make a profit. And if you continue to study trading analysis, it will surely be useful in finding coins to trade. The better your analytical skills, the greater your chances of making a profit. And you can also set aside a small amount of money for other things that can benefit you in the future so you can make a profit too. But it's different if you focus on gambling, where gambling is not a place to profit.

Actually trading is not that easy as it sounds, to make money through trading you need to learn and build trading skills. On the other hand gambling is just game meant for entertainment wherein a player with out any skills can win money with only luck. With trading you do need some luck but skills plays a major role in your earning. Day trading is way to make money through trading everyday and most pro traders are doing day trading.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: August 14, 2023, 06:05:37 AM
it is associated with luck and greed. I mean when someone feels a strategy or prediction in every betting session he always wins and feels himself lucky he will definitely continue to bet because he feels that the winnings he gets are not big enough and continue to chase bigger wins in the hope that the winnings can be doubled but without realizing it is breaking the rules that have been determined when planning the winning limit rules and after betting all the winning money the bet loses and loses the entire budget and winning money which ends up chasing the loss. it is indeed very difficult to be consistent with the rules that we have planned at the beginning because greed has always been the main cause in the human mind so that when betting with greater hope it will definitely lose because we ignore how gambling works the longer the bet the more the house win.

Luck plays an important part in Gambling as you would need some luck in whatever strategy you apply without luck you won't make a single penny in gambling. As of now, I am not going to say that you can earn daily $100 through gambling. Consider the fact the amount of money that would be needed to win $100 daily would suffice your win. With luck you may not need to invest money or time as with one strike you may win an amount that would end your daily $100 goal for a few months. I would still say that there are other methods through which you would guarantee to earn some money every day. Those methods should be looked into and not gambling for earning.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: August 14, 2023, 05:57:17 AM
You are right about the KYC, but unfortunately now you can buy literally everything on the Internet, including fake documents, through which it is easy to pass the KYC. Using the example of Binance protection, it is very easy to get through there with a fake account.

It is true that everything can be bought on the Internet including KYC documents but it all depends on how effectively a Casino carries out KYC verification. Apart from buying the teenagers can use their parents documents to pass KYC. In the past such issues were identified by a few casinos and did make into mainstream media news. In the end it all depends on how parents tackle their teenagers and how well they monitor their activities.
1135  Economy / Gambling / Re: Play Simple telegram-bot game "Unix Season" on: August 14, 2023, 05:43:47 AM
When we created the game, we thought first of all not about monetary interest, but about how to provide the game for free to a wide range of people. If, of course, people are interested in the game, then it will be possible to make a game for cryptocurrency.
Games on telegram aren't popular here, so it is difficult for you to market it here even if it is free. because at the beginning of its appearance, Telegram was already considered a scam field for crypto users. If I were you I will try to build the website like others, this is one way to build trust here. Even if your intentions are good, and have the output to create a real cryptocurrency game, but one thing you should know is, the people will play your game if it really makes them happy, not the fear to be loss.

You are right no one wants to play games on Telegram as it is notorious for scam activities. Most of us have Telegram but we won't entertain anyone unknown on that platform or participate in anything that is free. I think OP should take his platform on a self hosted website and then come up with an ANN page, it would certainly encourage forum members to indulge in his platform otherwise it would remain dormant for a long time.
1136  Local / India / Re: why indians afraid to invest in crypto on: August 12, 2023, 07:23:29 AM
you do know the next pump would be triggered by Elon Musk.
Funny things happen too and imagine what if Elon comes with his own crypto called 'X'. Cheesy

Yeah, it is a 22 year old dream of Elon Musk to create a super app, which he plans to do with Twitter. The possibility of launching his own X crypto token has been denied by him. You can do a Google search and you would see a lot of articles surrounding this topic. He would integrate a few crypto into the platform and those would get a big push from the market. By the way the domain x.com was purchased by Musk before he created PayPal long back.
1137  Local / India / Re: India proposes AI-powered conversational payments system — RBI on: August 12, 2023, 07:12:49 AM
The problem with UPI lite is that it only allows INR 500 transaction per day without using UPI PIN. I am still unable to relate why I would need INR 500 transaction with the lite version. I could easily withdraw cash or borrow money for 24 hours from a friend for such an amount.
AFAIK, the value can be upto 2000 INR so I guess it differs based on the UPI wallet providers.

And the actual reason for UPI lite is to avoid transaction failure which mostly experienced by every UPI user due to bank server's down.

Also, it makes the bank accounts statements clean instead of filled with penny transactions and 100s of pages.

My experience of failure of UPI transaction is mostly on weekends. After such experience I started carrying cash without fail. Still I feel this feature doesn't make much sense when you have alternatives available and which are more reliable. What is the guarantee that UPI lite won't fail when needed. To save oneself from embarrassment always carry some amount of cash or your debit card with yourself.
1138  Local / India / Re: why indians afraid to invest in crypto on: August 12, 2023, 06:55:28 AM
Agreed with your point as most of my friends including myself has done the same thing. But, like me there are others who have questioned the existing financial system and have joined the Bitcoin band wagon.
Yep it is true, People see crypto trading as a very good part-time job however the bitter truth is most of them fell for the shitcoins.

If I am not wrong one of my friend asked suggestion about converting his BTC to SHIB after saw huge increase in the price so they all are just looking for short term gains not ready to look the real future.

Actually those who invested in shitcoin in the Bull market had made more profits than those who invested or kept holding on non shitcoins. I once invested in doge oin when it was dirt cheap and thanks to Elon Musk I did made a good profit. There was a time when Dogecoin was used as giveaway now it has stopped. You never know which shitcoin will pump next but you do know the next pump would be triggered by Elon Musk.

I could easily withdraw cash or borrow money for 24 hours from a friend for such an amount. I somehow feel they needed a new feature to be added to the UPI and they came up with an abrupt new feature. As per my understanding not many have availed this feature. The same fate will happen with the AI chat bot. Indians are very particular about finance and don't generally accept new technology associated with it.
1140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Web3 wallet trading alternatives you recommend? on: August 11, 2023, 02:29:01 PM
What I found about BitKeep is that is more user friendly than Metamask wallet as I believe operating Metamask is not that easy if you are a newbie to cryptocurrency. The red flag for me is that BitKeep is a closed source wallet wherein it can cause issues in the long run. dApps integration is not that good if you compare it with Metamask wallet. Another red flag for me is that BitKeep is a custodial wallet whereas Metamask is not. I would still prefer Metamask over BitKeep due to these factors and I do not feel uncomfortable in using Metamask as I have been using it for a long time now. I would always recommend others to use Metamask than BitKeep.
