1821  Economy / Speculation / Transactions volume at an all time high? on: November 29, 2011, 06:01:03 AM

What is going on? If you go by the logic that price is related to transactions should this not be massively bullish? Thanks.

Edit: Link fail, working on that.

Edit: Fixed

1823  Bitcoin / Mining support / Are cards on PCIe extenders less stable or is my power too low? on: November 28, 2011, 11:59:35 AM
I have a rig running 2 5850s in their normal slots and 1 5830 on a PCIe 1x to 16x extender. The hash rate goes from about 249MHash/S to 277MHash/S, up and down quickly. The 5850s are stable, never change more than 1Mhash/S.

Is the problem the extender or should I be looking at something else?

Also ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks.

Edit:  Just realized my PSU on this is a 650W. This might be why? Most of my other cards on the extenders are fine.

Thx

1832  Economy / Services / The bitcoin options trading site. (don't bother!) on: November 22, 2011, 02:14:52 PM
This website was advertised here and I thought I would try it out. I asked around about this guy and someone told me he had been listed as a scammer and had a bad reputation. Anyway I tried a few coins.

This is what I just got back while trying to deal with this guy "Well the way it's currently going I am guessing it will be resolved with
one unhappy but stubborn customer."

I followed the instructions on the site but it was rejected because he claimed I needed to send more coins. He then after getting the coins said I did not follow the rules exactly. However I did all that he asked. He will now not buy the puts I had ordered and will not refund the money. He also refused to sell me the puts at the first price. I don't know if this is a scam or just a really poor way to try to run a business. Either way, I would not risk more than a few coins on this guy.

(I know there needs to be evidence when making a claim and will be happy to send transactions and what not if asked by the mods/admins.)

Edit: I want to add the address so people will find this in a search. I searched for information about this site before and found little.

10 slots, 2 coins:)

Even though there are 10 slots, only 8 are up for auction.

8 slots, 2.5 BTC each

Well in that case 12 slots 3 bitcoins  Tongue
