I'm sorry you are incorrect

Very, very foolish words man.

you also can verify every game played with the client seed and blockchain.

Can you show an example please?

I am particularly interested in how I can verify that the txid you use is in fact the last txid shown on blockchain.info ten seconds after the last ticket was purchased.

Please show Mr. Raffle how someone with a reputation like yours that owns a bitcoin gambling site and is confident that it's proveably fair answers these questions.

Is justdice provably fair right now?

Was it 3 days ago?

Was it 1 week ago?

My site no longer accepts Bitcoin. It's CLAM only these days.

Just-Dice is provably fair for players and always has been. There is no way I can cheat the players without them being able to detect it.

It might surprise you to hear that it *isn't* provably fair for investors. I can cheat the investors (by playing against them using the server seed) and they can't prove anything.

Sorry I can't give you the tidy "yes, yes, yes" answer that you were looking for. Smiley

Even if the removing staking vote gains a majority of stake support, it's not going to happen.

It seems very unlikely that stakers would vote to remove staking. Or did you mean "removing digging"?

If so, why do you think that?
1844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LTC-Dice.com : 1 % House Edge Dice Game on: January 07, 2016, 11:06:03 PM
dooglus before one month i mailed u and asked u that i am opening it with ltc and u said i am not a fan of ltc and i dont have any problem and now u are giving a negative comments

I said I don't mind you opening a Litecoin dice site, and that there's nothing I can do to stop you anyway.

I didn't say to just copy all my work!
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LTC-Dice.com : 1 % House Edge Dice Game on: January 07, 2016, 11:05:09 PM
do what u can i need a partner if u can design and create and add all features in it i will share with u 40% of the site every month therefore u have to maintain the site mean manage u have to fullfill all its needs if u can  contact me on skype aftabzafarkhan we have to take this site on new achievement

So I design the site for 0%, some other guy codes the backend and maintains it for 40%, and you get 60% for what exactly? What are you bringing to the table?
1846  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] BIT-POT.com - NEW BITCOIN LOTTERY on: January 07, 2016, 10:20:25 PM
high contrast map in the background? Think I know where its from, will get rid of it.

I'm talking about this kind of thing:

Can you read that text? Because I can't. Parts of it are white on white.

If you were own 25% of hashpower, would you bother and setup your miner?

I don't know, but it doesn't matter. Miners can easily cheat the other players. Whether they do or ever will is beside the point. The game certainly isn't provably fair when one group of players can cheat another group of players.
1847  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ BTC-RAFFLE.COM ★▐ Provably Fair ▐ Referral System ▐ Player VS Player ▐ on: January 07, 2016, 06:04:52 PM
When the game is over i do know the players names and the total amount spent (just like all the other players) . But like you said the game is over why would that help me lol the keyword is "game is over"

When you say dumb shit like that it makes me think you are trolling.

I am clearly talking about what happens at the end of the game, when you publish the results. You have the ability to select the most favourable of several outcomes without detection.
1848  Other / Archival / Re: Do all casinos hold large wins for a few weeks for "fraud inspection"? (84 BTC) on: January 07, 2016, 06:02:05 PM
If they don't pay him out then they're effectively finished here.

They have a choice - pay him the 84 bitcoin & continue running a trusted site & make profits for an unlimited time

Or

Scam him & pretty much end their business with a destroyed reputation over 84 bitcoin.

For the above reason I'm confident they'll pay him out.

Maybe there's a third option: come up with a semi-convincing story about how OP cheated.

He played "live roulette", which generally means FJ paid some third-party company to spin a roulette wheel and broadcast video of it happening, while FJ took bets on the outcome. I don't know what assurance FJ have that the company spinning the wheel is broadcasting it live rather than with a 60 second delay. Such a delay would give them plenty of time to place bets on the number that already came up.

I guess this kind of cheating is what they are worried about, but I've no idea how you would go about proving or disproving it. I expect you just have to trust the third-party video feed provider that they won't play against you, felay the feed, use an unbalanced wheel, etc. Provable fairness cuts both ways.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: January 07, 2016, 05:47:33 PM
There will be a full explanation and user guide available on the website once the client is squared-away.

I wonder if we should make an interim release with just Kef's CLAMour/CLAMspeech GUI changes merged in.

xploited's "reindex" merge is big and largely untested. I don't know how long it will take before we are confident releasing it, or how we even get to that stage. Kef's changes are tiny in comparison - but maybe they depend on the changes I made which prompted the need for merging the reindex stuff in the first place.

Also, I guess you have other stuff on your mind right now. Good luck with that! Smiley
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: January 07, 2016, 05:04:46 PM
You could withdraw them and stake them yourself however.

Is it a relatively simple procedure? or perhaps a step by step guide available? The whole petition thing is quite over my head I'm afraid but I would love to vote =)

I've not had the time to figure it out for myself either. Has anyone made a straight forward step by step guide somewhere for those who might need it?

If you want to have your voice heard in the CLAMour system I think there are currently two options:

1) download and sync the CLAM client, withdraw your CLAMs from poloniex to your local wallet, set your CLAMspeech to support the petition(s) you like

OR

2) make an account at Just-Dice.com, withdraw your CLAMs from poloniex to your Just-Dice deposit address, invest them in the JD bankroll and specify the petition(s) you support in the account tab.

Option 1 is better in terms of decentralising the coin. Over 73% of all the CLAMs that have ever moved at currently at Just-Dice, which clearly not good in terms of having a robust decentralised network. But syncing the blockchain is kind of a pain, taking many hours or even days. I provide a bootstrap.dat file updated which helps a lot in getting your client synced up.

The next release of the client will have direct support for CLAMour, but it isn't ready yet. The current release does let you specify your CLAMspeech. Set it to "clamour nnnnnnnn" where nnnnnnnn is the 8 digit code for the petition you support. You can specify multiple 8 digit codes; use a space to separate each pair of codes. I was maintaining a list of registered petitions at http://txti.es/clamour but haven't updated it for a while. PM me if you need something added to the list.

Option 2 will stake your coins for you and will support the petition(s) you ask it to, but there's a 10% fee on all staking profits.

If you need more details for any of this let me know what you need help with and I will attempt to make it clearer.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Provably fair" question on: January 07, 2016, 07:17:06 AM
When i use PF on betcoin.ag every first bet 80% wins.

That's fantastic. You can use this to break the bank!

(Unless, as I suspect, it isn't actually true).

How long do you have to wait after a bet for the next bet to count as another "first bet"? Or does randomizing the seed fix it immediately every time?
1852  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ BTC-RAFFLE.COM ★▐ Provably Fair ▐ Referral System ▐ Player VS Player ▐ on: January 07, 2016, 07:13:52 AM
We can not know the out come. As i have said the site picks the winning number from blockchain + the client seed making it provably fair.

Please do no get back into trolling the thread i thought we were past that.

Every time I point out something wrong with your site you tell me I'm trolling you and then attempt to fix it.

Why do you think this time is any different?

Try to understand:

When the game is over, you know all the player names, the total amount spent on tickets, and have a list of all the transactions which appeared on blockchain.info in the last second. You can check the result for all of those transactions and see which of them if any makes you win. You can then claim that one was the last one you saw, and nobody can prove you're lying.

Get it?
1853  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ BTC-RAFFLE.COM ★▐ Provably Fair ▐ Referral System ▐ Player VS Player ▐ on: January 07, 2016, 06:13:15 AM
Mr. Raffle,

I wonder if you are mature enough to answer these three questions....

Is btc-raffle provably fair right now?

In my mind yes, there is a theory someone could cheat it but it has not been proven to be true only speclaactions

I can take this one for you: no, it isn't. The last input that affects the result is "the last txid we saw at blockchain.info". We need to take the site's word on which txid they saw last. And even if they tell the truth we have no way of knowing whether the txid they use was specially selected to make a particular ticket win, either by the site or by a player.

Was btc-raffle provably fair 3 days ago?

No, but we also did not know it wasn't

No it wasn't, and several people told them it wasn't. There's no excuse for them "not knowing". They just didn't want to believe it.

Was btc-raffle provably fair 1 week ago?

No, but we also did not know it wasn't

As above, it wasn't and several people told them it wasn't.

The PVP type gambling game has never been done before. We are learning. You all act like we want to scam you when clearly we only want to be legit.

pevpot.com is a PVP type gambling game done right.

I don't know whether you are intentionally being obtuse or are just incapable of understand the concepts involved.

If you want to tell us a different way of picking the winner we will use your method.

I have done. Make the result calculation take longer than the duration of the game so that nobody, not even you, can know the outcome when you select and publish the txid.

I have a large supply of CLAM on polo for trading and lending purposes - Can I vote for the removal of digging too?

Unfortunately not. Poloniex refuse to stake their coins.

You could withdraw them and stake them yourself however.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Provably fair" question on: January 06, 2016, 07:41:31 PM
Forget about the provably fair, because its not. if you think your suffering 3 straight losses from a dice..wait for at least 30 sec before betting again and then try it. someone needs to loose for you to win

I don't think you know what you are talking about. Most sites certainly don't work that way.
1856  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ BTC-RAFFLE.COM ★ ▐ Provably Fair ▐ Referral System ▐ Player VS Player ▐ on: January 06, 2016, 07:40:37 PM
like i have been saying you can't cheat the system or they would. What they are saying is like 1 in a million chance. If they could cheat the system so easy they would just to prove the fact.

I have already listed my reasons for not stealing from your customers:

  1) I'm not a thief
  2) It doesn't work if the site itself is already stealing from them
  3) The amounts involved are currently too small to bother with
  4) With the millisecond timestamp in place only the site can cheat, not the players
  5) I have no reason to prove anything to you

The site can not cheat with the millisecond timestamp if we did all the members would notice.

Just like your dice site people will notice if you fake the hash.

Thanks for admitting no one can cheat the site, its about time you start telling the truth.

If I ask you the time to the nearest millisecond but you add on 3 milliseconds to the true answer, do you think I would notice?

I wouldn't. 3 milliseconds is too small a difference for anyone to notice.

I don't know why you can't understand this.

I did not say that "no one can cheat the site", I said "only the site can cheat, not the players".
1857  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: StakeMiners: restricted withdrawals, falsified stats, insolvent. Do not invest! on: January 06, 2016, 06:57:05 PM
Actually, they're pricing based on current market buy

Then where does the valuation of over 120 BTC come from?

Using the current market buy the value is only around 40 BTC.
1858  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] BIT-POT.com - NEW BITCOIN LOTTERY on: January 06, 2016, 06:53:20 PM
I find it impossible to read your site because there's a high contrast map in the background. But by selecting the text and copy/pasting into a text editor I was able to read:

Quote
THE BET? ANYBODY CAN CHECK IN BLOCKHCAIN - SINGLE DEPOSIT ADDRESS FOR ALL
THE WIN? PUBLIC KNOWN RULES + PROOF OF BET = NO CHANCE TO SCAM
THE TIP? IN THIS YOU HAVE TRUST US

1. BLOCKHCAIN is spelled wrong. It would be worth running a spellchecker over your site because I guess there are other similar errors.

2. Could you get rid of the background so the text is legible?

3. "NO CHANCE TO SCAM"? It seems people are betting on the future actions of the miners. Doesn't that give the miners a huge advantage? If I control a mining pool with 25% of the hashpower, I have a 25% chance of mining the block which decides whether I win the pot or not. I can make sure that 25% of the time my prediction comes true. You should remove the text "provably fair" (and even just "fair") from the site - since it isn't fair, let alone provably so. Miners have a huge advantage at the expense of non-miners.

4. What is this? "THE TIP? IN THIS YOU HAVE TRUST US"? I think you're using the word "TIP" to mean a guess of the number of transactions in a future block. Why do we have to trust you about that? Do you mean I could guess 10 and you could change my guess to 11, and I have to trust that you won't?
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Provably fair" question on: January 06, 2016, 06:04:58 PM
Nope, every time a dice is rolled ,the random unknown event of the block is generated which is what he call "Provably Fair" instance.

We don't even know which site he is asking about yet, so I don't know how you can answer his question.

I saw a reply from him last night listing 3 sites, one of which was something like "rollin", but it looks like the post was since deleted.

Edit: reading https://rollin.io/fair I see nothing about using anything from the blockchain.

JD has not 84% stake weight?

More than 55%. Enough. Whatever. Smiley
