18564  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I dont like the newbie policy regarding waiting period on: December 25, 2013, 10:47:54 AM
I registered months ago, but only now visited to give feedback for bitcoinwisdom.com. I've probably wasted a half hour because of this idiotic policy. So I have to make a few posts on this board to make posts elsewhere? Here's your post right here:

18566  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe in Aliens? on: December 25, 2013, 10:43:44 AM
what a joke uptopian societies dont exist, this will never be utopian society, if we reach an utopian society we will be in heaven with only one race then.
Other than that things will only start going for the worse and its evident even now.

Things are much worse in the world now compared to 20 years ago, more fighting , wars, violence, thanks to the internet people are more aware of it.

Do you really think things are worse now? What stats do you have to back this up?
18567  Other / Off-topic / Re: BTC as Presents??? on: December 25, 2013, 10:41:16 AM
So anyone giving BTC away this holiday period as presents??

As part of a secret santa i included a USB stick with a wallet on with some BTC.

Tempted to give my small niece a wallet with some on aswell, and then add some every month, like a BTC trust fun.

Merry Xmas

Whilst the gesture of giving BTC is nice, I wouldn’t give a small child one to hold on to, unless of course you give it to her parents or whatnot, but maybe they'll lose it too haha.

I might design some Bitcoin Christmas cards or vouchers next year to give out to family. I'll see how popular Bitcoin becomes this year. Hopefully everyone will know what BTC is by xmas 2014.
18568  Other / Off-topic / Re: Shit things that has happened to you today on: December 25, 2013, 10:36:11 AM
i went cycling today and a few days ago.. my testis have been hurting, or maybe it's my prostate. i think i should stop, especially if i want to make a baby in the future.

Haha. My butt/balls go numb sometimes when cycling. First time it happened was quite a shock as it just felt like cock and balls had disappeared. feltbadman.jpg.
18569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone else working on Christmas? on: December 25, 2013, 10:23:23 AM
Also, happy holidays to all!  Smiley

My Mum is and it's also her birthday today. My auntie is also working today, so we had Christmas last Sunday with all the family, so it doesn't feel very Christmassy at all Cheesy.
18570  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies, stay away from altcoins. please on: December 25, 2013, 10:18:59 AM
What about Anoncoin?

I believe this to be a coin for the future?

Limited supply, great support, great site etc, worth checking out.

The same can be said for numerous other altcoins. Doesn't seem to be much different about Anoncoin.
18571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 25, 2013, 10:17:37 AM
I don't know anything about NXT or MSC, however DOGE is most certainly not the result of price manipulation. The DOGE market would be way harder to manipulate than most of the altcoins with the demand it's seeing -- it has more volume in BTC in the last 24 hours on Cryptsy than just about any other coin.

It was previously number one on coinmarketcap due to price manipulation.

Any advice on What alt coins next should be good, been reading a lot about Ripple too.

Based in the UK.

Look forward to further discussion.

Cheers Smiley

Maybe look into buying some Feathercoins. I can see it becoming the UK's Bitcoin. It's still really cheap and you can buy it on Bittylicious.
18574  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [ANN][Xmas] Merry Christmas on: December 25, 2013, 10:05:30 AM

18575  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All the current coins are not good on: December 25, 2013, 10:03:47 AM
did anyone checked mastercoin?

mastercoin price is 150$+/MSC

i think MSC is the next bitcoin

What makes it the next Bitcoin? Its inflated price?

did anyone checked mastercoin?

mastercoin price is 150$+/MSC

i think MSC is the next bitcoin

The markets are being manipulated apparently.

And this.
18576  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All the current coins are not good on: December 25, 2013, 10:00:37 AM
I dont think one would make to the final, however I do believe the digital curreny would be the future of our world. Just dont think bitcoin would be the one. so let us wait and see !  Cheesy

Unless there's a flaw found in Bitcoin, or another crypto comes along that offers something that Bitcoin doesn't, then I see no reason why BTC will be surpassed. Why do you think Bitcoin won't be the future?
18577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 25, 2013, 09:52:56 AM
So why is Mastercoin $170.40? Is that being manipulated now?

This kind of manipulation by Doge, NXT and MSC just makes cryptos look like a joke. If people can manipulate the markets this easy, then once the media get a hold of this Bitcoin and cryptos will look like nothing but scams and pyramid schemes people claim them to be.
18578  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking to sell my forum account for btc. Is there any interest in this? on: December 25, 2013, 09:49:38 AM

Trust: 0: -0 / +0(0)

I can offer 0.01 BTC.

Obviously any trust built up during the life of one account will not transfer to another person because it would be common knowledge that the account is in different hands. Thank you for the offer! If the offer was serious that means accounts do have value for trade. Regrettably, I will have to decline.

Many people who have joined the forum in the past few months are unaware and learning every day that trading accounts is not disallowed and that it sporadically occurs, so some may easily fall for a scam perpetrated with your account. I wouldn't mind spending 0.01 BTC to prevent that (but not more than that), and maybe as an experiment post for a while with it to see how many people would be aware of the sale of your account.

It won't be common knowledge to all, only those in the know.

Maybe a scam or potential scam perpetrated by a respected member is what is needed to show how dangerous selling accounts is. And what's to stop a member scamming with their account then claiming innocence because they claimed they sold it?

We’re meant to be able to trust respected members who have built up feedback through trades etc, but to me, this trust is kind of worthless when people can just claim they've sold their account. Even involving a third party escrow service in deals now seems like just one other person involved that could scam you.
18579  Other / Meta / Re: (Suggestion) New sub-forum for novelty coins on: December 25, 2013, 09:36:27 AM
As others have said, who decides what a novelty or shitcoin etc is?. This is a Bitcoin forum, and the alt currency section is fine for all the others. Yeah, it's a mess, but you don't have to go in there if you don't want, or only have to subscribe or check threads of coins that you're interested in.
18580  Other / Meta / Re: (PETITION) The act of BUYING/SELLING Bitcointalk.org Accounts (Poll) on: December 25, 2013, 09:34:14 AM

The best we could probably do is have an "account recovery code"... every account gets a magic code which can't be changed, which can be used to claw back the account at any time. This would make selling accounts slightly less safe because people could claw them back after payment was made.

Can't you just do that via forgot password/ secret question and get it sent back to your original email address, or can those things be easily changed as soon as someone gains access to the account?
