No I understand John but that is kinda the point. What I am saying is lets call a spade a spade. They are not donations they are payments for vip status. If it was structured like that it would be nobodies business who did what with it. You could charge thymos to hold some of his funds or he could spend it any way he likes. The forum either needs money for improvement or it doesnt. Sell Vip memberships and take donations for maintenance and improvement.

I dont have a problem with the forum making money I have a problem with calling it a donation. It is not a fing donation. It is a bribe for favoritism or a payment for services, who knows what service that might be? When you operate in secrecy it is not possible to know your intentions. I want you guys to make money, john k, thymos, and the other senior members you guys paved the way and should get paid, but do it honest.
If you are going to charge for vip membership just say you are charging dont disguise it as a communal fund.

I only use paypal. I have other selling options but have only done one cash deal all others have been for paypal. People have options and they chose paypal.
I am just giving the people what they want! I just need suppliers!
They did just start charging a fee for sending a gift if you fund it with debit or credit card. All my funds are from ebay sales or digital item sales so I get no fee when sending.

BTC is a little too volatile for me to put my money in. I've been doing the same thing as you sort of only through different means. Taking very very short positions on BTC via BTC jam and slowly but surely making small profits. I can't put money into something that swings and loses 10% of its value several times a day in under a minute.

Fair enough I never get people that say you cant charge back. If you want to set up a test let me know. I wont jeopardize my paypal account but if you want to buy from me and try and charge back we can set up a test. You will be successful if you send your payment as a payment for an item. You will be unsuccessful if you send as a gift from your home IP address.

Seriously I know as much about their policy regarding digital products as the people working there now.
If a buyer files a dispute for a digital transaction they send a notice to the seller. If the seller does not respond in the number of allotted days (I believe it is 10) then it is closed automatically in favor of the buyer. If the seller responds AT ALL saying it was a digital good being sold then they automatically close the dispute effectively ruling in favor of the seller. If the seller receives too many disputes they close the account for an investigation of abuse on the part of the seller but the people who were already ripped off have no recourse. They literally responded to me asking does that mean I can go quickly rob people for ten thousand dollars and then just open a new account when they suspend that one over and over and they said yes.
You are not telling me anything and you are wrong about them siding in the favor of the seller for digital items. When the buyer opens a dispute they seize the funds from the seller and return it to the buyer if it was for a digital item. the point is I know the risks I dont care what nerds on the internet have to say about it. I have been banned from btc otc for the last couple of months. Some little dick asshole is an a CO, (channel operator) there and has stolen by name and banned me. His user name is RBecker. Hey rbecker if you are reading this.. suck it you clown! I am not going anywhere and if you want to settle this just let me know. I am going to start paying people to troll you and paying to find our your real name and address. Quit fucking with me or you might get a horse head on your door step, maybe fish heads we will have to see.
As for btc-e I had a customer that was banned there and they lifted the ban after a period of time. I think you can just wait it out.

People do exactly what you are talking about. Digital items are not covered under buyer or seller protection. If the buyer claims that they never received the item they will side with the buyer. If the buyer says it was unauthorized and they sent payment for an item they will side with the buyer, if the seller admits it is for a digital item they will side with the buyer, if the seller takes a payment sent as a gift from the personal options and from their home address they will side with the buyer. There is no seller protection for gift payments. The only way that you can send as a gift and get a refund is if your computer was hacked or you logged in from a new ip address. Payments sent from home as a gift are not refundable otherwise.

Sure I know about that. I sell on ebay for a living and have done so for the last five years. i know all of the games that are played on ebay.
There are ways to prevent that from happening. I would highly recommend that you be very careful selling btc on ebay, it is very easy to be scammed.
I have seen lots of sellers come and go because of fraud.
Now to your real point...am I the one messing with your ebay ads? No..asshole

My payments are not reversible. Lots of poeple around here claim that it is, but I know for a fact that I can not reverse my payments. I had someone not send coins after payment and could not charge it back. At this point I have enough trades and online feedback that I have proven myself. If you need references I can provide them thanks.
