I'll buy 1 BTC but I won't go through all those steps, specially not uploading my ID's ant that crap. I've bought million things with Paypal in my life, never done that so won't here too.

If you're OK with that, shot me a PM so we could do it fast.

Cheers

NO, the steps have to be followed! it is there to protect me from fraud. What makes you a special case?

Now you're a martyr?

Just trying to do what I think is right. I didnt get into bitcoin because I am a tech nerd or an drug user i got into because I hate the world that central banking has built. It is not not a coincidence that the century of complete central banking coincided with a century of complete warfare.

just doing my part.
I can honestly respect that.

Thanks i am not all bad.  Grin

Does anyone else find this laughable? ripple was sold as an easier way to get bitcoin!
Both of these things are true, depending on the particular situation a person is in.

Quote
If people can just buy bitcoin they wouldn't have any need for ripple!

Any fool can see that.
For people who only want to transact in a crypto-currency, that's probably true at least for the short term. Ripple has community credit capabilities, higher transaction speeds, and a few other properties that might make it advantageous even for people who are only interested in crypto-currencies. However, until the world switches to crypto-currencies, there's still a multi-billion dollar market in payments and conversions among fiat currencies.

"There's still a multi-billion dollar market in payments and conversions among fiat currencies."

Now it is starting to make sense.

I agree.. so what does it all come down to? what is required?

TRUST!!!

But how do you know who to trust?

REPUTATION!!!

There is no better indicator of future behavior than past behavior.

Civilizations have forgot how to trade p2p they have relied on institutions for so long.
1088  Other / Off-topic / Re: The case for paypa.l Why do I use it. on: September 13, 2013, 10:12:25 PM
9) Paypal can be reversed

10) Paypal can control your funds when they don't want you to use them anymore they can just take your funds

Rewrite 4) cause bitcoin is pretty perfect, or as close to perfect as you can get. Bitcoin can't be reverse no company controls your funds for you.

Gweedo this is the case for PP not against. I did address the charge back issue by saying that there are no safe methods. Safety is an illusion.

The irreversibly is why most people are not interested. Irreversible transaction are for thieves.
1089  Other / Off-topic / Re: The case for paypa.l Why do I use it. on: September 13, 2013, 10:04:41 PM
i prefer not to use paypal they gave me so many problems in the past i just completely stopped using them

I do understand that. I have had issues in the past but was forced to work through them because of my ebay business. There have been many times where i tried to get out from under them, but they have made some great improvements in the last few years and have given me prefered customer support because of our high feedback rating and decent volume of sales
1090  Other / Off-topic / The case for paypal. Why do I use it? on: September 13, 2013, 09:50:56 PM
1) it is free for most westerners it is better than bitcoin in that regard 0 dollar sending fee.

2) It is instant. People always say bank this or that. I want to flip the same funds over and over. I can do that with paypal. If I use anything else it is 3-5 days of down time every time I sell off, that sucks!

3) I make a living selling on ebay so I have pp funds, any other method and I have to transfer to a bank 3-5 days

4) There is no perfect payment system.. I believe if someone is gonna rob you they are gonna rob you. People are always getting burned with the methods that are preferred. Money pak, bank transfers, bank deposits, western union, cash. I personally think that cash is super sketch in large amounts. You are not just selling bitcoin you are selling access to heroin, meth and coke. If you think someone might put a gun in you face for an equal amount of heroin you better be careful.

5) I can get money from an exchange to cash in 15 min. I have a paypal card and can sell for paypal and have cash in my hand in 20 min tops.. It is very liquid like that.

6) The main reason that I do it is because I love the idea of the peoples money (bitcoin) and want people to use it. I hear over and over if more business only took bitcoin, or we need more business to take bitcoin. That is not the problem every business in the world could take bitcoin and it wouldnt matter because if is a cluster fuck to get a bitcoin. People are not going to go out in mass and do bank transfer or money order. It aint gonna happen! I love bitcoin and I am not going drive all the way to the bank to deposit into a strangers account. For bitcoin to work it has to be better than what is already in place.

7) to build a trust network p2p. There has to be a trust network for people to trade p2p for traditional payment methods

Cool To give people what they want. Because i believe that markets reward individuals who give other people what they want.
1091  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS my Paypal for BTC or LTC on: September 13, 2013, 09:25:00 PM
I trade for paypal but am out. I am glad to see you know how to build trust. I like trading with russians and use btc-e a good amount. I understand wanting to build trust but if you are in Russia why not just deposit to btc-e. I would be willing to by coins off of you at 3-4 percent above btc-e last price and if you started doing that you could build up trust fast.
1092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tired of 140$ on: September 13, 2013, 09:10:57 PM
Mt. gox is a manipulated market because you cant get funds in or out

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it only fiat that you can't get out of mtgox?

You are right, but what good is that? ya you can put bitcoins in and get bitcoins out but who cares? What good does that do you. People use an exchange to exchange
1093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tired of 140$ on: September 13, 2013, 09:08:52 PM
Why doesn't everyone on the exchanges just list thier BTC over 200 bux for a week?

Because you will never get everyone to agree.

but the drug addicts will still need to buy their coins for SR.

drug attics dont appreciate it when the bags are skippy. Let them buy coin at 200 and it drop to 150 by the time they complete their order and they will say fuck bitcoin too.

Bitcoin is supposed to me money. Money needs to have a stable price so you know that your money will buy tomorrow what it buys today.

Accepting Paypal for the purchase of any Cryptocoin is STUPID

Paypal will 100% charge back any cryptocoin purchase everytime.

~BCX~

How do you get this far without knowing what you are talking about?

I been buying and selling for paypal for the last year. They dont give a shit, I have told them myself at least a dozen times. I  dont even have to explain what it is at this point they know what bitcoin is and have even advised me how to handle and avoid charge backs. Not one of their representatives have said I was violating policy
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTB 50 LTC Via Paypal on: September 13, 2013, 08:55:38 PM
LTC are much more valuable than face value!

I did sell the OP my 13 ltc.. for his pp usd
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTB 50 LTC Via Paypal on: September 13, 2013, 08:53:51 PM
Why not just buy with bitcoin?

People... come on.

Why would you want litecoin? because it gives you access to the btc-e exchange.

That is why I mine litecoin and not bitcoin. I can switch my LTC for BTC and a greatly reduced rate then I can sell the btc and capture the spread between btc-e price which is almost always dirt cheap and bitstamp or mt gox when people still used gox pricing. Only problem is ya cant get anyone to sell LTC for that reason.

1097  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tired of 140$ on: September 13, 2013, 07:50:48 PM
Sure go the blockchain and hit send money and then put 1 in the btc field that is the price. ( hint it aint gox price)

bitcoinaverage.com  notice how there is a link to ignore mt gox there is a reason for that.

here is another price source preeve.com

go to silk road and see what one bitcoin is worth

go to bitmit and see what one coins is worth.

Mt. gox is a manipulated market because you cant get funds in or out
1098  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tired of 140$ on: September 13, 2013, 07:39:36 PM
Doesnt matter what mt gox says that is not a real price. You need to be looking at bitstamp or campbx for the real rate

Sublime:  you'd probably be best off responding to KelticFox's 3 questions... This way you're moving forward rather than avoiding.

I'm not taking sides here, but if you look at the people that flagged Sublime with negative rep, they're all relatively new accounts and quite a few of them seem to have dropped off the forum after leaving feedback for him.

I might be a dick, you might not like my personality... but what no one can say is that I dont have integrity.

I take a lot of risk selling for paypal. People dont understand my motivations and cant understand why or how anyone would sell for reversible methods.

THE REASON THAT I SELL FOR PAYPAL IS TO BUILD A TRUST NETWORK AND TO BUILD BRIDGES BETWEEN THE TRADITIONAL BANKING SYSTEM AND BITCOIN. EVERYONE KNOWS IT IS A BITCH TO GET BITCOIN I AM TRYING TO CHANGE THAT AND SHOW THAT MY BUSINESS MODEL WILL WORK AND IS PROFITABLE.

The problem with bitcoin as I see it is this.   People have become so dependent on institutions they dont know how to trust individuals, but I have spent most of my life trading with individuals for unsecure methods... I know how to build a trusted network. I have dont it many times.

For btc to work it has to be p2p not p 2 institution 2 p. Everyone in this community wants to build new institutions that is what bitcoin was designed to eliminate.

They all fail.  The institutions always bring regulations, fees, and when the centralized system fails theft
