Not long. I've been here a little over a month and my posts are down to about 30 seconds I think. I'd like to be able to buy most things in BTC. I hope for the day when many online retailers or highstreet shops accept Bitcoin. |

Wish I had the capital to start a UK BTC store, I know plenty of people who want to buy parts just with BTC, the only stores i see at the moment sell things that no one really wants.
But i'm happy to see real shops/bars/food for BTC starting to pop up.

I did learn yesterday that takeaway.com accepts BTC which is cool.
So far i've only found sites offering random bits of electronic crap or abandoned sites.
I'm wanting to buy a new TV but I might wait for a UK store to start accepting them before I do. I'm going to mail Richer Sounds about accepting Bitcoin soon. Sadly not.

I was wondering if there were any sites that are based/delivered to the UK for computer components, and deal in BTC.
I know of several US sites, but the crazy delivery/tax costs makes it pointless.
I wish Gyft would hurry up to a UK site.

I agree, the odds of a Federal Judge giving him the bitcoins back is very, very, low. I think he is fighting for himself and crypto-currencies too. Questions are:
1. Will they force him to disclose any private keys he hasn't disclosed?
2. How will the classify bitcoin?
3. What will become of it? Auction? Ignored?
...
1) How will they force him? They might try give him a longer sentence perhaps, but I don't think they're gonna torture them out of him. 2) I think they classify them as assets or just seized funds. 3) The feds have said they're gonna liquidate them. How, I do not know, but I hope they don't dump them all at market at once. |
