It has come to my attention that often times people in this sub forums make all sorts of claims but later have trouble proving it. After all, online forums can be hacked and these statements could easily be altered. Even the trusted third parties (escrow services) can become corrupt.

What is then recommended is storing the statement into the very block chain itself so that the whole Bitcoin network starts guarding the integrity of a given message. Additionally, the timestamp attached to the message can then be used to securely verify the date and time when the statement was created.

During the past 4 weeks I have been involved in the development of http://CryptoGraffiti.info web service that allows to monitor the human readable messages stored into the block chain now and then. In addition, the service makes it easy to encode your own arbitrary message into Bitcoin addresses.

The service currently displays only the newly added block chain messages. Fetching the all time history of such messages is considered as future enhancement.

A sample use case would be securely and easily time stamping a statement so its validity can later be verified without needing to trust anybody.

I just wondered how sure I can be that my Logitech MK320 wireless keyboard really is secure. I googled around but did not find anything convincing. Logitech itself claims that they use hardware encryption. Has anyone tested and confirmed the keyboard's real security by attempting to crack it for example?

Now I've dumped all this Satoshi Nakamoto rumours because I simply don't believe they got the right man. HOWEVER, it's weird that media thinks it's a bad thing that the suspect was working for the US military. I mean who cares where you work, you have to earn money, right? Also, look at Snoweden and where he worked.

So let's assume for a moment that:
1. Satoshi really worked for the government
2. Bitcoin really is the gateway to cashless society
3. Bitcoin really is a Trojan Horse

How that could be possible?
1. this is easily possible
2. first show people something great and then over the decades corrupt it
3. only if US has full blown quantum computers in their back pocket

I just figured something --- think of all these armoured vehicles riding around every day with massive amount of money or gold as cargo. Think of the security men hired to guard that wealth and the risk involved. Bitcoin solves this all with zero cost and risk.

Here's a coin idea:
1. Premine 1 000 000 000 PaperCoins.
2. Create an ATM-shredder that destroys paper money if you insert it.
3. ATM-Shredder gives PaperCoins to the user.

This way we can convert all the paper money into its cryptographic equivalent.

4. Profit
