1901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end the dollar’s reign? on: December 26, 2020, 05:18:27 AM
As long as America is still a country with a strong economy, I still believe the US Dollar will survive and will still be used for international trade.
I also believe Bitcoin will not end the Dollar reign, because confidence in the US Dollar is still high. After all, the number of countries that accept
Bitcoin as payment is very small, so there is no way Bitcoin will replace the US Dollar. Bitcoin still has to prove that it can function like a fiat thing,
but the fact is Bitcoin is still widely used as a digital asset, compared as currency.
US does not have a strong economy in my opinion, they are more on having a strong foreign policy. It will survive because the capitalist that are behind the curtains pulling strings will not allow for the dollar to die. Let me put it this way, as long as the country has a strong foreign policy then it will survive. With the current market cap, I think that it will still be far from possible that we will be using bitcoin as a form of currency, as you said that it is an asset, I think more of it as barter system when we are buying products and services with bitcoin.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin at risk of regulation? on: December 26, 2020, 04:20:18 AM
I don't think that bitcoin is at risk of regulation since there are lots of big companies are now adopting bitcoin, primarily as a payment method since it is safe and faster than doing bank transaction or fiat transaction. But still there are lots of people who are still doubting bitcoin, there are still countries that are banning bitcoin and prohibiting the people to use it. I hope that someday those countries are gonna recognize bitciin as a good investment and a good way of payment method.
As long as the regulations are reasonable I do think that it will be for the better. The companies that will be using it will not be in favor of a regulation in my opinion, this could be a good exit strategy to launder your money without going for shell companies or better yet. I am not against bitcoin but I think that we have to look at the negatives with the same equality. Doubt will always be on the minds of the people, it is only a matter of time before they regret their decision. Prohibition will get these countries nowhere to be honest, the more you tighten your grip, the more your subjects will try to break free.

1905  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can my BTC used for real world trading in the future? on: September 06, 2018, 01:11:05 AM
Is there something I can do with my tokens?
It depends if your tokens actually has a decent real world use-case or if it's just total crap.

I mean buy or trade my BTC’s for something real.
If you're asking if there's some places where you can use your bitcoin to buy "something real", then yes. You can buy items from Amazon through purse.io

I thought I was doomed for real that I can't utilize Bitcoin for buying something in Amazon. I thought it was still on the state of the usual acceptance of payment method(usage of c/r and d/r cards). Here in my country, Lazada is yet the most convenient way to buy something. Lazada isn't local so it might adopt the usage of Bitcoin really soon though.

Amazon doesn't officially accept bitcoin(for now), but you can use a 3rd party service like Purse.io to purchase from Amazon using BTC or BCH.

As so as Shoppee, it doesn't officially accept bitcoin but through coins.ph you can pay using btc or php and I find it more comfortable than ever. I mean I don't have to wait in long lines just to pay my bill before they can ship out.

I don't know where OP resides but I think his country still didn't acknowledge bitcoin or any form of crypto currency. And if Amazon didn't fit his taste then he better just hold his bitcoin than stressing his self. Roll Eyes
1906  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: THE BEST TRADING BOT! on: September 05, 2018, 01:46:42 AM
Is this a scam?
I've done a virus search, you can see the results here https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/4d2adf6400bf38626724726bc3e3631cb6f1b7e25dc9e78eec09aff0aff2bc72/detection
Looks pretty clean, but still, I'm cautious.
 Anybody tried it?

I didn't try this and seems it's new.
The result is good and nothing suspicious so I think you should give it a try and give us some insights. After all, it's just a trading bot.
1907  Economy / Economics / Re: Next SEC meeting on: September 05, 2018, 01:01:59 AM
When? And what is on the agenda?

Next one is in 7 September (Bitwise).
Then 21 September (Direxion), and only after that it's the 30 September VanEck / SolidX, which is causing a lot of hype. But all of them can be postponed afaik.

Thanks. I didn't know that there's still three meetings about ETF like I thought it's just one. Huh

Seems many of us are anticipating the probability of postponed approval, this will entirely affect everything, I mean were more than used to it now and no more panic thing will happen and so the market will just be stable. And the least we're expecting nothing.
1908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if cryptocurrency market is not also good in 2019? on: September 04, 2018, 01:10:25 AM
if that happens then I will do the same with you
I will reduce my activity on cryptocurrency

Nah, just to be safe, choose bitcoin more than any altcoin. The fact remains that bitcoin is the strongest and will withstand alone. Altcoins eventually become shit because of their project that isn't fulfill, just look the altcoi s now, still kissing the floor and struggle to surge.
1909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just got a little extra money and want to invest in crypto, should I? on: September 04, 2018, 12:40:24 AM
Just buy a little portion of your money and buy a little more when it get some dips later on, but you should be watching the market carefully so you won't miss anything.

Otherwise, you'll regret from not buying more now if the price starting to surge. And this is how the twist and risk of the market. More than a win or lose situation.
1910  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trade Bots and Apps Articles - And a Warning on: September 03, 2018, 01:23:58 AM
Bots are made to make our trading life gets easy but don't just fully depend on them because you're still the one who's responsible for your trading and obviously you have your brains and bot doesn't have one, unless it's a vice versa.

By the way, the article in OP seems having a trouble. It keeps on " page was not found ", please fix
1911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this real Satoshi twitter handle? on: September 02, 2018, 11:33:10 PM

What you are your thoughts... I know there are lots of "Faketoshi(s)" out there Grin

Forget it. Of course it's fake and just trying to fool people and which obviously got you. Grin
Don't bother to find the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto because he made sure that he didn't leave any trace and being pseudonym is something that we should value in cryptos.
1912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran's Draft To Backed Cryprocurrency on: August 30, 2018, 05:06:53 AM
Iran’s National Cyberspace Center reveals the draft of the state-backed cryptocurrency project is ready, local news outlet reports.

https://cryptopanic.com/news/2969689/Iran-State-Backed-Crypto-Draft-is-Ready-Central-Bank-to-Soon-Announce-Stance-on-Crypto

Iranians are good to go with Cryprocurrency big time.
That's great but no large exchange will touch it and who would trade their bitcoins for a shitcoin that's backed by the likes of Iran.

There will be no large exchange but the Iranian government will be, they will surely manipulate all these things just to make their coin survive. Definitely a buy back method from its investors.

I believe fedcoin is just suitable for countries that have hyperinflation like Venezuela but with other countries that doing good there's no way, it should be just bitcoin.
1913  Economy / Economics / Re: How the Bank works to make money? on: August 30, 2018, 04:12:19 AM
In my own opinion they are not creating money but they are earning to support the salary and other benefits of their employee was the interest ,lending, fees ( like account, ATM, Penalty, commissions, application fees), loans and many more. Banks was to brainy for earning money just like embracing cryptocurrency in their business.

I don't think they already embrace crypto currency as in fact they're still doubtful about this though I heard some banks had partnered to an ICO but it doesn't mean they already acknowledge this plus they just following orders from Central Bank.

Banks are more likely profit from their investors and stock holders and the money they profited is use to circulate throughout company.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Wallet Problem on: August 29, 2018, 04:26:54 AM
In my opinion you should switch to another wallet. and should use the JSON code and save the file initially. will be safer

Yeah JSON code is also good but if you want a full protection you can put a  extension to your MEW by putting MetaMask. This is the safest from everything even you're using a decentralized exchange.

If you feel that there may be a problem with your wallet, all you have to do is replace the new wallet immediately and transfer all the coins!

Yes just do this to make yourself calm and next time be wary from what you've doing.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you learn any hard lessons from Crypto or a an altcoin this year? on: August 29, 2018, 03:43:14 AM

2. Take Profits often: I have learnt this bearish market to always take profits in the bullish market condition. Hodling should be done strategically. Losing all the gains made during a bullish run in the name of hodling is foolhardy. You can sell the coins in the bullish market and wait to buy the dip.

I'll go with this. I admit that I once been greedy for hoping for more profit during the bull trend as I was waiting for more uptrend thus the market turn it sideways and I left hanging with my holdings. So instead that I'm sitting on my profit I'm now waiting for the market to go green. I don't want to cut lose either.

So yeah don't be too greedy for profit. If you know that you already have, take the profit often.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO this time, yes or no? on: August 28, 2018, 01:31:54 AM
The market conditions are weak, but if the project is good it's better to start now because it will take 1-2 years to polish it (including ICO, developing, testing, and working beta launch). So if you want to take your market share then don't wait, start it as soon as possible.

Well yes for the meantime as this year icos are doing it for long term to see its development and in return the price can't be seen to stabilize. Though we can see icos that controlling the price not to get dump yet it's hard to fully control it as many have is short temper about their profit. Nonetheless, if you want to see an easy profit then stay away from icos and just invest in some coins in CMC.
1917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will benefit the most from bitcoin/cryptocurrency? on: August 28, 2018, 12:59:53 AM
Can those who are like my friend get into bitcoin even though he has no major investment? Or is bitcoin only for those who can afford it?

IMO, bitcoin is for everyone and if someone really wanted to invest he will do anything to own some. Bitcoin investment is really lucrative so I won't be surprise that even a debt person will still want to invest rather than paying his debt. It seems that he perceive bitcoin as a way to change their social status and it's fine however bitcoin is too volatile so better not to put his hope too high.
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🤖Aitheon: DIGITAL ECOSYSTEM SIMPLIFYING YOUR WORLD w/ A.I, ROBOTICS on: August 08, 2018, 12:09:45 AM
If you were involved in Aitheon ICO and haven’t done KYC, your tokens will still be unlocked with everyone else’s correct?
3I ask because I am against KYC, I do not do illegal activity but my appeal to the crypto space was not having every move I make tracked.  I don’t want to lose my tokens but I also will not be doing any KYC either way.

Had you been part in bounty? Or in ICO? If you take part in ICO then you should know that kyc is mandatory, you put your money to them then I assume you trust them either. Or if you're part of bounty, then I guess you won't get your tokens if you don't comply in their kyc and just forget your AIC. But at least your identity is safe and I think that matters to you.
1919  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term argument for bitcoin on: August 07, 2018, 07:09:20 AM
Hello,

Most of you are confident with the long term for Bitcoin. Yet some altcoins has the same features so why are you so confident about bitcoin and not about litecoin instead?

I compared them and approximatevily the same assets!
The only difference is that bitcoin was the first, is it that important?

Yes bitcoin is the first and it's trusted by everyone and not to mention its value that appreciate over time. Plus the fact that bitcoin is have the higher marketcap and we're just waiting from a mass adaption that will trigger the price to skyrocketed. Well actually, we all have different perspective in cryptos so if you like litecoin more than bitcoin then you're free to trade neither hold it.

And I think you should do some more research to enlighten yourself.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO or buy BTC? on: August 07, 2018, 06:21:36 AM
I don't wanna take risk so I'll go in bitcoin. Recent activities of icos are quite alarming and the value isn't rising thus it just decrease its value so we can easily see our losses as soon it landed on exchanges. And now that bitcoim undergo again with corrections then it's our opportunity to accumulate more before it increase again. Really an easy profit in one roll.
