1901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Sponsors New MrBeast YouTube Video! on: August 31, 2021, 11:47:58 PM
OMG!  There's a lot of prizes out there?  Lucky for those who have joined the contest and each of them received a good amount especially the Tesla car and the amount of $2,000 worth of Bitcoin and it might until now the $10 referral code was effective upon creating a Coinbase account.

That's a good return to the people who've used Coinbase and it might good also if this activity will continue for everyone and can able to join virtually.

Is there somebody who knows how much is all over the cost of the prize that is sponsored by Coinbase?
1902  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [LIST] Crypto exchanges that accepting Lightning Network on: August 31, 2021, 11:31:25 PM
Upon having short research I saw this Estonian exchange that also supported Lightning Network.

https://nordikcoin.com/

And based on their FAQ, they acquired KYC/AML to their users but I didn't found about their channel count.
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to make passive income in crypto with altcoins on: August 31, 2021, 11:15:41 PM
In all choices that OP mentioned above, I preferred investing in NFT coin and playing as well.  It's very common and very trending all NFT PTE games and I think this has the potential to make a massive profit when they will boom in the market.  Just grab and invest their token while they are on upcoming hype, just like Axie Infinity, if I know that investing in SLP is a good profit before, I invested more than I can afford, and probably it worth trying in upcoming NFT games project and test while they are on a beta stage.

Another is trading, either scalping, spot, or daily trading will boost your profit in just a matter of a short time but this all depends on your ability how to make money in trading, if your skills and knowledge on it are enough, you're good to go and make a profit.
1904  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: August 31, 2021, 11:05:47 PM
For a long-term investment, it would be better to pick Bitcoin than altcoin, if you will see the previous market price chart with altcoins and the price of Bitcoin, there's evidence that Bitcoin always leading the market.  And now when it comes to investment, I rather have a large percentage of Bitcoin in my portfolio than in altcoins which is a good investment in a short period of time.

As long as for me, I always pay attention to the investment that has a low risk and only Bitcoin investment potentially has an assurance about this.  It's your money and it's your choice which coins you will take a risk.
1905  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: August 31, 2021, 10:46:59 PM
If you had cryptos in the past and could have made lots, to kick yourself over it. If you get caught up over what could have been, you will go insane. So focus on the current time. Good luck!
You're not alone, sometimes I'm thinking that I have a huge amount of Bitcoin in the past based on the transactions in my wallet.
But forget it and move on if you have profited on it, there's no time to regret just move on and start accumulating again.  It's insane to think about the value that supposedly you have while you're in the current time.

That's right, just focus on the current time and be contented with what you have done in the past.  It's always had time to start again and aim your own target profit ahead of time.
1906  Other / Meta / Re: I found a strange happening on this thread on: August 31, 2021, 10:25:02 PM
That isn't strange, since their accounts are old and might they don't have enough activity to rank up after receiving airdropped merit that based on their activity when theymos introduced merit system.  As you can see, they had the same merit and activity, these are the two requirements upon ranking your account.  All accounts were inactive in late 2014 and theymos introduced a merit system in 2018.

Please read and understand this thread  "FAQ: Everything you need to know about forum 'activity, account ranks and merit", so that you will have an idea of this stuff going on.
1907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trends for altcoins in September on: August 30, 2021, 11:57:07 PM
I would pay attention to NFT, because the HYPE has not died down yet, and at any moment this sector can show a good round of development, of course, defi projects on the polygon blockchain, bsc, etc. I also like games where there is NFT, and now there is a good news background in this direction. Roll Eyes

yeah, the hype still won't change so much. The NFT will still popular in the next month. i think the game with NFT is a good idea because The NFTs will have more values. i have so many NFT too from some games. i have interest on Solana too. this thing is going to be crazy in no time.
I tend to agree with you both, possible that NFT projects will become popular most especially those based on games projects.
Many people now talking about NFT games called Axie infinity and other play-to-earn games that will surely crypto hunters will love.  But in the end, all of them are unpredictable, even though the top 5 altcoins will have a great move upon moving by Bitcoin, the Bitcoin dominance will always vary to the altcoins price movement as I can see IMO.

However, I smell a bullish trend by next month in the whole entire crypto market.  So wait for it.
1908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learnt from Someone's mistake on: August 30, 2021, 11:36:35 PM
so there was this particular platform, with mouth watering benefits my friend came across on whatsapp called Bitcoin invest, we really didn't know much about bitcoin only that it was a cryptocurrency, infact we didn't know what cryptocurrency is about ..
Hello there Cynthia, if you saw that line that I quoted above that was your problem.  You should know first what is cryptocurrency and what is the basic function of Bitcoin before diving into it and make an investment.  Bitcoin investment is always a great opportunity but unfortunately, you were in the wrong hand which is the scammers.  The golden rule of Bitcoin is, "not your keys not your Bitcoin" from the start you know how to deal with Bitcoin and how to store it and that is your friend's problem here.

Don't fall with the sweet promises like double your Bitcoin in just a matter of weeks or months, that is the most words that commonly used by scammers.
But I'm glad that you've learned from that mistakes and don't let that it will happen again in the future, purchase Bitcoin on the legitimate exchange and transfer it to the wallet that you have full control of your crypto assets.

1909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto becoming less and less anonymous on: August 30, 2021, 11:12:18 PM
There are pros and cons upon submitting KYC and we know that KYC/AML or know your customer was strictly implemented in very strict countries just because of the jurisdiction that they followed, it acts also that crypto and the central bank will become friendly due to this legality of crypto and regulatory requirement in most of other countries jurisdictions, so there's nothing we can do about this because it varies in such jurisdictions where you belong.

Using crypto isn't really have an assurance that you will become and fully anonymous, even the transaction was publicly revealed by the database or public ledger.  It's different from the pseudonymous, there are too many various ways that you can hide your identity upon using crypto for your own safety and avoid centralized exchange if you don't want KYC, still, we have a good decentralized exchanger that we can use.

1910  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrency trading have helped the youth. on: August 30, 2021, 10:44:30 PM
Trading may indeed become one of the activities in Crypto which is very tempting, giving good daily profits and making a lot of money.
However, this might not happen to all traders.
Because the fact is, in trading, there's a loser and there's a winner and not would be able to win in the same way.
I don't know what is the reason is why people thinking that trading is just easy making money while the truth isn't.  It required different factors to consider and processed to trading if you already will be oriented.

Speaking of youth habit, they don't have this instinct of making money, all they have to do is relying upon their parents and as we can see, they love to always have fun, like entertaining themselves.  But this is not on general trading discussion, there are some newbies too in the trading field.
1911  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: I want to report crypto currencies stealing, where should i go? on: August 29, 2021, 11:58:00 PM
That's a lot of money and it might you will under interrogation too if where that money comes from.

I don't see anyone here suggesting using Chainalysis, it's a service that helps government and even private sectors to recover and find the hacker, they studied and investigate all blockchain transactions that to track the transaction of hackers activities.  It might be good if your local authorities will collaborate with them for further fastest investigation regarding your stolen crypto assets.

Sorry for your loss but I think it's a less of a percentage that your fund being recovered.

1913  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bilaxy.com hacked on: August 29, 2021, 11:06:33 PM
It's karma or we can think it's an inside job?  What do you think? Cheesy

The hacker is now busy transferring the hacked altcoins to different addresses from this hacker's ETH address.  Made me wonder how this hacker now sells those tokens hacked that the address used is now marked with "Fake_Phishing4940".

As other exchange experienced like this sometimes we think it's an inside job and it might a good reason for them to exit scam.
1914  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I extract crypto from my wallet on: August 28, 2021, 11:59:10 PM
I currently have a sum of money sitting in a wallet. Can I simply extract the value in one go and place it into my bank account? Or is there a protocal to follow?
Hello there, you need to elaborate more so that we can find a better solution to your problem.
  • What crypto wallet you have used?
  • What cryptocurrency it is?
  • Is the Cryptocurrency ban in your place?
If we all know those I mentioned above we can give helpful advice but if you want really want in a legal way, just follow the advice above, find a local lawyer which is they know better when it comes to your local law.

Alternatively, if you don't care about the legality, we have a p2p decentralized exchange that you can use though it's risky at least you have an idea.

1916  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: August 27, 2021, 11:59:24 PM
It might depend on which kind of trading you are and if you're in day trading which is very risky and very pressure on your part.  I like long-time trading which is I still manage my time until now even though I have work in real life.  IMO, find a decent job + continue in trading or investing is a perfect combination because you have another financial support when you're down in trading.  It needs proper balancing and there's no need to quit in trading if you can manage your time properly and avoid being too much greedy in trading.

Trading isn't easy of making money, it needs your time and focuses on it.  But I suggest not to leave your job too just to focus on trading.
1917  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has crypto cloud mining got market? on: August 27, 2021, 11:48:38 PM
Those comments above were right, the cloud mining industry here isn't a good sound nowadays because every time we heard a cloud mining company that promote their brand, it's always criticized as scammed.  Because most of them sold fake mining contracts or did not pay their users which is very common back then.  It means scams are often when you heard Cloud mining business and another factor is low revenue to the users which is didn't attractive to them.

Just go turn your path into another business that isn't worth it to spend your money and time.  But all in all, the decision is yours.
1918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can my wallet be deleted if I dont meet the terms of service? on: August 26, 2021, 11:44:09 PM
According to Exodus terms, you must be at in legal age to accept their terms and condition so you should be 18+ to be able to use their service.
I didn't have tried using exodus wallet but I think users can simply be denied their age since upon creation of wallet only creating seed phrase or 12 words phrase and password will be required.  There's no need to submit personal information that reveals the user's age AFAIK, is this right?

Electrum which is an open-source wallet and also hardware wallets are highly recommended as a secured wallet.  If you have already been created a wallet on Exodus, you can simply import to other wallets that make you comfortable.

This is how to Import your Bitcoin Wallet into Electrum.
1919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TOP WAYS TO EARN CRYPTOCURRENCY WITHOUT SPENDING MONEY on: August 26, 2021, 11:25:19 PM
It's irrelevant to the content of your thread to the title of the thread.  There's nothing free on the internet not unless in exchange of your service, and even airdrop need to do a little task before you're illegible to get the airdrop.

Quote
4. Get Cryptos through Airdrop
In all ways to earn crypto without spending money, only airdrop options were relevant but IMO, this is just a kind of a waste of time as of now, you only get dust amount that didn't might worth it to your precious time.

All comments above were right and I tend to agree with them, if I were you, just edit the title on this thread and remove the "without spending money", otherwise, it belongs to the existing thread/topic, it's good if you will lock this.  Scroll down and find the "lock topic" button/option.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance denies allegations of market manipulation on: August 24, 2021, 11:59:28 PM
That is why we must be very wary of our investments. Put it on local wallets and not use the exchange as some sort of crypto bank, unless you are on active trading.
Please explain further with the local wallet and how it is safe to store our crypto there?
It's not really advisable to store your crypto asset on exchange for a long period of time, just use it for a non-custodial wallet, open-source wallet, or hardware wallets much better.  It's safe and reliable to hold your crypto asset for a long time and don't believe in Binance saying that there's a SAFU out there.

There's nothing impossible in centralized exchange everything they can do, as we can see, they even bought the CMC so that they can possibly manipulate the price and own a crypto price tracker, IMO.
